So I'm thinking of trying an rp that is loosely, and I mean loosely, based around the Worm webfiction, meaning that it would probably be using the same classifications for powers, similar terms, and even staple characters (Legend, Eidolon, Alexandria) and organizations (the Protectorate, the Guild, the PRT and the Slaughterhouse Nine), though interaction with these individuals and organizations will probably be highly different, and come a long way down the line. I'm not sure how much Caldron/Scion this rp would deal with, which is why I'm saying loosely based, probably not too much into stuff with the shards or anything.
Depending on the number of players we get would change where the RP would be set, and I'm open to any ideas/suggestions, and can answer any and all questions! Just kind of fishing around for interest, and I have a loose character bio sheet for anyone who wants it.
For people who are unsure of what worm is, the basic idea that we would be running with in the rp is that in 1980 parahumans (people with super abilities) began appearing. Eventually parahumans or capes as they became known to the public, began to fall into one of three categories, either heroes (good guys), villains (bad guys), or rogues (neutral). The capes took on secret identities, and began playing a grown up version of cops and robbers, with the Protectorate, the Wards, and the Guild acting as the good guys, and any number of villain groups acting as the bad guys. The powers break down into special categories; Mover, Shaker, Brute, Breaker, Master, Tinker, Blaster, Thinker, Striker, Changer, Trump and Stranger.
Parahumans get their powers by being 'triggered'. This 'trigger event' is a situation that pushes them to the very limit of their flight or fight response and their bodies reaction gives them super powers.
