Sawyer, Shocker City Job Fair

Sawyer takes in what little detail she can of the guy in the bright yellow suit. "Shooting people is all fine and dandy for some people but I prefer to get up close and personal with my targets. In no way does that make me less capable of taking someone out." A creepy grin works it's way onto her face. "I'm also great at getting people to talk. I haven't meet someone that won't talk when I pull this out." She pats her chainsaw.

Kanji, Museum World

Kanji smirks as the first two wolves get hit by lightning and charges right at the third wolf. "I'm not scared of you." Kanji puts up the steel plate to use as a battering ram. "AHHHHHHHHH"

Dr. Facilier--Dr. Facilier's Voodoo Shoppe

Contrary to what has been said, Facilier actually operated in the height of the early twentieth century, years since Alexander Graham Bell patented the electric telephone.

But that's not what's important right now.

Dr. Facilier, just as he had folded an unbound voodoo doll into his satchel, received the trans-dimensional call. Through his own devices, Dr. Facilier picked up the call and said, "Dr. Facilier's Voodoo Shoppe; Dr. Facilier speaking, freshly returned from the spirit world and back in service, how may I help you?"

As he talked, he jiggled the zipper on his bag, attempting to get it un-stuck.

Hi-Hat, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Radio Room

Hi-Hat smiled as Dr. Facilier answered promptly. It was refreshing to see someone who knew to keep his communication options so open. He'd practiced for just such an occasion-- Hi-Hat had always wanted to be one of the much-vaunted Runners, but could never rile up the right amount of contacts to ever get a Mister Johnson. Still, he practiced his speeches to Shamans and Mages with a First Nations friend of his. It was always good to be prepared.

"Hello there, Mister Facilier," said Hi-Hat, his voice modulator in action, "I and my colleagues are members of a certain extradimensional organization, and are looking for supernatural specialist. As I understand, you are an expert on spiritual matters, and would thus be excellent for use as a consultant on a future mission of ours. Are you familiar with an artifact known as the Eye of the Serpent? We have a vested interest in keeping it out of a violent military group's hands."

Hi-Hat paused for breath, and continued.
"If you want, we can discuss payment options now or after the mission. Money is no object, I can assure you."

Dr. Facilier

Dr. Facilier stroked his chin as he listened to Hi-hat. As Hi-hat mentioned the Eye of the Serpent, his eyes darted to his bag, then back to the trans-dimensional connection of ambiguous sensory stimulation. "Yes, yes, I am," Facilier said, leaning on his cane. "Before we continue, however," he continued, grabbing his cane and clasping it in his hand, "who--exactly--are you with? I don't recognize your voice, and I should like to know my clients before I make any of my, ah, deals."

Facilier's shadow crept to the wall and put a dark hand to its ear, listening to Facilier converse with Hi-hat.

Morgan--Public Library, Unspecified Location

"Ah, if only I had a library card for this place," Morgan said, snapping To Kill a Mockingbird shut and replacing it on the shelf. Morgan checked the clock on the wall, and figured that she had time to go for a pleasant walk.

Morgan exited the sliding doors, stopping to wonder what kind of magic caused them to do that (hint: it's probably pneumatics) and walked onto the sidewalk. Morgan marveled at the other wonders of this unspecified location, such as the horseless carriages and the surprisingly-organized city structure. Of course, she got some funky stares from pedestrians, but having little to no money in her purse, Morgan decided that a stroll around town would ease any tension.

Meanwhile, the narrator said sarcastically, in the rest of the multiverse...

Arragoz Plizgin - Da Spess Bar

The 'duel' between the Ork and the humie was presently swinging in favour of the former, with the Greenskin forcing Takkaharra onto the defensive. Considering his competition, this wasn't exactly the best position to be in. However, the humie showing off all the bitz 'n' gubbinz he had at his disposal amused the Kommando, so he refrained from trying to kill him too quickly. Trukks, bikes, gazzoleen, loud engines, 'n' goin fast in general was more of an Evil Sunz specialty, while Arragoz himself preferred foot slogging. It was slower, but had the advantage of being much quieter, and useful in just about any terrain, save for muckin' about in open spess. As for Stompas 'n' Gargants, it was fairly obvious why they were rather unsuited to stealth operations.

The Greenskin didn't recognize any of the locations mentioned, and they didn't look too interesting, so 'e simply glossed over them. The weapons, however, oh Mork 'n' Gork the weapons. Choppas, Shootas, Big Shootas, 'Uge Choppas, Even Bigga Shootas, 'Uge 'Uge Choppas, 'Splosives, horrific contraptions straight out of a Mek's workshop, and so much more, as far as the eye could see. If Arragoz possessed tear ducts, he would shed a single tear at the beauty of it, 'afore punching said tear ducts out of existence for not being proppa Orky.

"I'z gotz ta say, dats sum flash gubbinz you'z got, Sentoo. When I'z dunn krumpin' ya, I could use summa dat for gettin rid uv' Shadoo Foreva's Grotty Boss."

But that would come later, now it was time for one of the Kommando's kunnin trikz. The Ork's assault suddenly abated, whereupon he proceeded to take a few steps back, and promptly tossed his Choppa at the humie. While the humie was hopefully distracted by the sudden change in taktikz, Arragoz whipped out a Stunbomb, pulled the pin wiff his teef, and tossed it to the ground. After drawing his backup Choppa, the Ork quickly closed his eyes. Mere moments later, an ear-splitting bang would be heard, and blinding light filled the immediate area, then vanished as quickly as it appeared. With any luck, the humie would be temporarily disoriented, creating an opening for the Greenskin to strike.

Hi-Hat, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Radio Room

"Oh, that's right! I apologize, sir, I appear to have forgotten my manners!"

Hi-Hat briefly pondered his next answers. Not one of them would be wholly true or wholly false. That was just a given, considering the circumstances he was in.

"I am a foreigner, from outside of America." Mostly true. After all, the Pueblo Corporate Council did not belong to the United States of America.

"I am with Shocker+, a widespread organization dedicated to the betterment of communities, through multiple means. Economic stimulation, controlled growth of beneficial ecosystems, and securing potential threats are all among our key goals." Half-true. Shocker+ was only dedicated to the betterment of communities because it's better to get their money and recruits when they're rich and bored.

"My cohorts and I are currently operating out of a restaurant in the Midwest." Almost entirely true, though Freddy Fazbear's technically wasn't a restaurant, and the pizzeria's Midwest was an indescribable distance away from Facilier's Midwest.

"My group is concerned with the actions of the army seeking the Eye of the Serpent. Their actions would cause irreparable damage to the state of the universe" Half-true. It would cause irreparable damage to the majority of the multiverse.

"We found your information through extended cooperation with a biochemical weapons company. You may have talked to one of their representatives over this connection before-- they're called the Umbrella Corporation." Almost entirely false. It was only considered 'cooperation' by virtue of the fact that Umbrella's current majority shareholder was being stored on a USB drive in Sindibad's pocket.

"We are hoping that we could use your expertise in spiritual matters to safely retrieve the Eye of the Serpent and ensure it is held safely away from hostile organizations." Mostly true. The only thing that mattered about the Eye was that it was out of Shadow Eternity's hands.

"So, Doctor Facilier, do we have your trust, or would you like to meet a representative in person? Shocker+ is always looking to hire ambitious entrepreneurs with diverse portfolios."

Shivani - Dr. Facilier's

Shivani sheathed her blades as she looked through the shop. It all seemed weird yet somehow normal to her. "Hello?" she called through the shop, hoping there was someone here. She heard a voice and got closer, only to stop right outside the curtain upon hearing another voice. She couldn't understand what they were saying at first but had picked up a few words, Eye of the Serpent.

Sounds like a Daedric Artifact. she thought as she stepped away from the curtain. But not one I've heard of before.

She looked at the items in the front of the shop, just now realizing how strange they actually were.

Dr. Facilier

The bokur folded his arms. "No, that won't be necessary," he replied. "How will I get there? Because I can't imagine that there are any cabs to the Serpent's Eye."

Facilier thought with distaste of the Umbrella Corp; he had no contact with it as far as he knew, and hardly knew what it was. But he also knew that he had to repay his debt to the Loa.

Perhaps this Shocker+ group, with the right manipulation, can help him give the spirits as many wayward souks as they want. "We can discuss payment later," Facilier added, thinking of different rhetorical strategies to gain what he wanted, what his "friends" wanted.

Hi-hat, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Radio Room

Hi-Hat was taken a bit aback. This mighty master of the spirit world needed to carpool? Maybe ghastoline was expensive in the 1920's, maybe Facilier was extraecologically conscious, maybe he didn't have the resources for a legitimate portal.

Whatever it was, Facilier would need help getting to Nox. Hopefully, he'd know the exact location of the castle the Eye was being kept in, so Shocker+ wouldn't have to rely entirely on information stolen from Arragoz.

"Of course, my good doctor! All you need to do is provide a location, and we can configure a route directly to you. Since you'll need our assistance to reach the Eye, we shall have to convene in person to give you your teleporter. When is a good time we can meet you?"

"Trans-dimensional teleportation isn't within my power (yet); indeed I will need assistance," Dr. Facilier said. "I'd say... meet me at the center of the French Quarter in about thirty minutes," the bokur continued, glancing at his wall clock. Facilier took three of his tarot cards and flipped them over; from those cards, he gleaned (for CERTAIN) the location of the Serpent's Eye. A smile crept onto his face as he slung his bag on our shoulder. "I think we've got ourselves a deal, do we?"

Hi-Hat

"Of course, sir! We'll see you in just a short while. In the meantime, I'm sure you have customers to deal with, and so I will stop taking up your time. Shocker+ looks forward to your continued cooperation!"

Hi-Hat closed the transmission, and turned to Sindibad. "Alright," said Sindibad, poring over the stack of notes Umbrella had oh so kindly written for him, "universe ID is... 630213, astronomical coordinates 0,0. French Quarter is in... where?"

Hi-Hat briefly thought for a moment. He had read about New Orleans before on the net. The (fake) technowizards at Renraku had put a lot of effort into designing a replica of New Orleans just so people could fill their virtual Mardi Gras addiction. "It's along a bend in the river, I think. Right next to a cemetery. Shouldn't be too hard to use a mundane map and triangulate the position that way."

Sindibad nodded. Mundane solutions to complex problems were always fun. "Finding the exact coordinates should be easy. We just need a few guys to do the footwork. Hi-hat, you're in. We need two more guys, though..."

Hi-Hat smirked confidently. "Don't you worry, buddy. I've got a few guys I know. We'll be round there nice and quick."

SPESS BURR

"Well now! Motivation, physical capital, I'm going to skip the comraderie and finances parts, so that brings us to point three of our presentation."

Takahara had fought swashbucklers before- thrown swords were no surprise after that one encounter with Akumaizer-3. They usually didn't follow up with a grenade though. He swung the Sengoku Driver around his waist, opening the Lockseed with a FIFTEEN!. It was time to trade up.

"We're also planning to kill the little bitch somewhere down the line, and I want all the help I can get."

He wasn't going to go for the transformation with the Riotrooper transformation active. There was no telling how that would interfere with the energy flow of either transformation, and no telling just how horribly it could go wrong. He positioned his hand to break the Riotrooper transformation and immediately start the transformation into Fifteen. And then the flashbang went off.

The Driver continued playing through as Takahara fumbled around, blinded and disoriented. He didn't notice the Ride Wear for the Sengoku Driver forming around the Riotrooper gear, and he certainly didn't notice when he tripped the Driver's knife. The Corporate Drones were just glad that their new boss didn't see their shameful display of weakness- reacting to a mere flashbang! Such foolishness could not be tolerated from former members of Blatantly Evil Marketing Firm B! Even as the Ride Wear formed, he continued shouting obsceneties in Japanese.

<"WHO THE FLYING FUCK USES FLASHBANGS IN A GOD DAMN BARFIGHT YOU UGLY FUCKING HORSEFUCKER!">

Takahara did his best to hold a fighting stance as his vision blurred and his ears rang. Eventually, the giant skull fell from the zipper, bouncing onto the shoulders of the black suit and clearing his vision a bit- though it did nothing for his hearing. In one hand, he still had the Axel Blade. In the other, though, was the Yomimaru. With that, he nodded in resolve, taking a proper fighting stance.

"Well then, Plizgin-San... Time for the Curtain Call!"

Raditz - Space Bar

There was a blinding flash of light.

Even though he was a decent distance from the fight between the ugly green skinned creature and what sounded like a pathetic human salesman, he had not been prepared for the grenade. His eyes seared and his ears burned. How they had manage to compress the three-eyed human's most dangerous technique into a tiny metal cylinder was beyond him! How dare a mighty Saiyan warrior be brought down by such a pathetic device!

He cried out in pain, swinging his arm and knocking his full glass of Hetap to the ground. It was agony! Almost as painful as those fifty-hour pilates session with Goz and Mez! If he had had to suffer through another one of those before escaping HFIL, he might have just tried to terminate his own afterlife from the agony of it!

His food tray hit the floor as he flailed wildly, ruining his eighth Double Sundae of the day. He had of course gotten his food for free because the servers were terrified at the sight of him, but something else nagged him, like that wasn't really the case. Perhaps it was the way they said "Oh, that menu!" No matter. He had bigger concerns, like being BLINDED.

Of course, as a superior Saiyan warrior, his amazing physiology did not allow him to be impaired for long. It was at this point, with sight barely restored and the ringing in his ears down to a dull roar, he noticed that his dessert was ruined. If there is one thing one must never do to a Saiyan, it is ruin their dessert. And now, Raditz was mad.

"PATHETIC CREATURES!" he bellowed at the ork and the human. "YOU HAVE SPOILED MY LUNCH! I DEMAND TO KNOW WHY I SHOULDN'T CRUSH YOU!"

Blake Belladonna, museum

Blake deflected the first volley of arrows with a deft double-sweep of her off-hand sheath, raising her weapons to meet Cinder's attack. For a moment the two women were a blur of whirling blades and flashing energy, with Blake blocking and parrying Cinder's strikes, ducking under those she couldn't block, forming clones to intercept those she couldn't duck.

The onslaught was too much for her, though, and she was soon on the defensive - it was taking all she had just to evade, let alone counter-attack. She tried to trap Cinder's blades in an ice-infused clone, only for the older woman to simply dissolve the weapons and reform them. Blake had lunged to strike while she was distracted, and instead left herself open to a volley of Dust projectiles.

Even though her Aura absorbed the damage, the impact sent her staggering backwards. Another clone was sacrificed to buy her time to turn the stumble into a backwards roll, landing on her feet again, but Blake knew she had to regain the initiative if she was going to stand a chance. Cinder was clearly hurting from her battle with the unknown third party, but Blake had never been a face-to-face brawler.

As the pair re-engaged, Blake leaped into the air, as if to bring her blades down on Cinder from above. However, at the apex of her jump, another clone materialised, again infused with Ice. Blake tucked her legs in and pushed hard off the statue's back, hitting it with a criss-cross slash, shattering the ice into a spray of fist-sized chunks and shards that showered down on her opponent. The faunus herself flipped backwards, arcing until her feet and one hand touched the wall behind her. Pushing off a split-second later, she was once again arcing over Cinder's head, firing Gambol Shroud's pistol down at her as she flipped, before landing gracefully behind her, leveling her gun in the woman's direction.

Her team had defeated their Cinder by working together. She was separated from the rest of RWBY, but she wasn't alone. She just had to match her until the Inquisitor or her ally with the metal plate could help.

Subaru Nakajima, Yggdrasil crime scene

Subaru crossed her arms and listened as Gerhardt described the infection, her nose wrinkling as he mentioned the smell. She had noticed it before, and filed it away in her mind for future reference. Mach Caliber was doing the same, albeit rather more literally, sending transcripts of the man's statement to the other teams mobilising elsewhere.

"Report from HQ - containment teams are standing by, local units investigating possible incidences." The device's synthetic voice chimed, giving its master cause to smile again as she turned to investigate the new arrival joining their street-side interview.

"I'm Subaru Nakajima. Thanks for coming, uh, your majesty." She replied, giving the big bird-like agent a nod in greeting. "We've got an unknown group abducting people from Mr Gerhardt's world, taking their blood and selling it as medicine. Only the blood is contaminated with the disease, and we don't know how many people have been infected - although it can't be that many, or the UMMA would have noticed by now..." She trailed off in thought, rubbing her chin.

"There must be a way to cure this disease." She said, frowning in determination as she looked up again. "The UMMA has access to medical technology from thousands of worlds. If we can find the people distributing the blood, we can end this before it even becomes a real outbreak."

Nono, Castle Tepes

Nono listened intently as the Queen explained how long she had had this particular castle. Admittedly, she didn't think the timescale quite compared to her own, but that was an unfair judgment to make. This world obviously wasn't as advanced as her own, so they probably didn't have the technology that hers did, which had allowed her to stand the test of time practically unharmed.

"Hello," she said to the maid, before blinking in astonishment at the fact that she was transparent, if only slightly. That and she couldn't really get any good readings on her, which was odd. Did she have a malfunctioning cloaking device? That was one technology that hadn't really been developed in her own universe, but then again one had to wonder what a maid would even use a cloak for in the first place.

A slight frown graced her lips as she leaned forward. "Hey, are you alright," she asked curiously, and slightly worried. Certainly the thought that Shirley might be a genuine ghost had never crossed her mind. Such things were for stories and people trying to scare each other, not reality.

That said, she would still follow inside once the question had been answered, the gynoid eager to see what the castle looked like beyond the exterior.

Misaka 10,032, Academy City

"'Yes,' Misaka replied as she keeps moving in spite of attempts at distraction," Misaka said to Marisa as the Witch asked first about her Sister that had been waiting for them, while at the same time making sure that she wouldn't be distracted into letting her guard down. Allowing her to escape at this point would be very unfortunate, for the both of them, for her, and for Academy City in general, though luckily the city had quite the slush fund to deal with property damage. Living with people who could singlehandedly destroy an army could do that.

The assault rifle was suddenly in her hands, not pointed at anything but there nonetheless, to serve as a deterrent should Marisa still make a run for it after Kakine had explained where they were going and who she was supposed to see. While the Witch might make it away from her, there was no way for her to escape all the Sisters in the city, much less Antiskill or Judgment, or even the other, darker groups. In the end, she had little doubt that the Witch would go along with the plan.

"Misaka recommends listening to Kakine," Misaka says with Marisa's best interests at heart," Misaka said once Kakine had finished explaining who they were going to see. Once Marisa had moved to follow she would stow the rifle back in her bag before heading after the duo, stepping through the sliding doors while continuing to block the rear route should Marisa get cold feet. But otherwise, it was off to the Windowless Building for the three of them, and the man who waited there.

Cinder Fall, Museum World

Cinder smirked as the whirling and clashing blades, mixed with arrows and Dust, forced Blake back onto the defensive, no match for the woman's power and strength. For a moment she had been worried there, with her previous wounds and going up against a still unknown foe, but now it seemed that those worries had been misplaced on the whole. She would admit that this Blake had some skill, but it wasn't enough to overcome her, as the two danced back and forth in their fight.

The clones were annoying, but given that Cinder had anticipated them it helped to cope, and she was able to use the opening to rain Dust projectiles on her opponent, shifting between arrows and crystals as needed. The volley of ice was unexpected, nicking at skin and slamming against her already reduced Aura, but the gunshots were stopped by the palm of Cinder's hand, finding no success there.

"Hm, my Blake was tougher," she noted idly in a spare moment between their clashes, before leveling her bow once more to fire off a Dust arrow at her current opponent. To be honest she wasn't that surprised. Her Blake had been somewhat special, and finding a similar one out there would have been unlikely. As it stood, it was annoying that this one knew most of her tricks, but it didn't seem to be overly influencing things. Indeed, her present wounds were more of a hindrance at this point.

That said she moved in, blades flashing in the light of the fire as she pressed her advantage, raining down blows and dealing with any distractions that popped up, like those annoying clones. Dust explosions flared, fire and ice as the half-Witch went all out against her foe. She wanted this wrapped up already so she could get on to her more important task, and track down the ones who attacked her so she could make them pay.

Over to the side, the Beowolf leapt out of the way as it's opponent rushed forward like a battering ram, before attacking from behind. Just because it was newborn didn't mean that it was entirely stupid, perhaps educated by Cinder's malice and will. Regardless though, it would not simply be taken down with a thing like that, but would require some more effort. And the longer that took, the longer Cinder would have to hammer away at Blake, with glowing red eyes and the fire in the museum only spreading.

Arragoz Plizgin - Da Spess Bar, now serving one more customer

The Stunbomb worked perfectly, and as always, provided an amusing display as a bonus. It was always amusing to watch humies fumble and flail uselessly, temporarily deafened and blinded by the blast. As for the Ork, while the flash of light would still affect him, the sound was one he'd adjusted to after experiencing it so many times. It also helped that Greenskins practically spent their whole lives being exposed to extremely loud noises, e.g. gunshots, explosions, their own voices, Shoutas' voices, whatever went on in the Madboy cage, and so on and so forth. That aside, the Kommando was wondering why the humie's outfit was changing again. Da zog is goin on 'ere?

Furthermore, another git appeared outta da blue, apparently at the same time the Stunbomb went off. Ain't dat sumfing. This one provided an equally amusing display, replacing the 'screaming incomprehensible gibberish' with 'spill a tray of food everywhere.' It was then that Arragoz picked up on something odd. This humie wasn't quite like the others. Sure, he smelled different than most, but that was a common occurrence. His outfit was peculiar, but so was every humie's aside from da Guard. What made him stand out was most definitely the hair. The Kommando had never seen a humie with hair that 'uge. Oh, and he was yelling about spoiled lunch and asking why he shouldn't krump Arragoz 'n' Takkaharra. "We'z in da middle of sumfing ya git. 'Owz about you'z be payshint 'n' wait, den I'll fights ya." After saying this, the Ork returned his attention to Sentoo.

Unfortunately, it seems the time spent reacting to the new arrival gave the humie enough time to recover from the Stunbomb, removing any opening. In addition, the humie's attire was now an odd mish-mash of his previous suit, and one that resembled a humie skeleton. Eh, it ain't nuffin, sum new clothez won't stop me frum krumpin' im. Raising his choppa, the Greenskin charged in once more, eager to continue their duel.

Marisa Kirisame - Academy City

... Well... Well...

Marisa shrugged. To see that Crowley guy in charge of this place or something? She had to wonder if he had anything interesting to steal... And they still had a ways to go, didn't they? If there was some way to slip away while on the way there, Marisa was going to take that chance. It's not like she couldn't just show up again when she got bored and meet this Crowley guy, right? Right! Yeah, that sounded good. She'd follow for a bit, then leave and explore the city for a while, then come back and give the superintendent or whatever a visit. That sounded like a pretty great idea, even!

"Fine fine," the blonde witch replied, "I'll go with you!"

With that, she headed after Kakine. Sure, she'd go with them... for a little while.

School

"... Well, burning the zombies would take them out fairly quickly," said the girl with a small sigh. She'd already killed so many coming up, and now they were going back down? She supposed that it would give her time to explain... She glanced at the pale girl for a moment. "You say you can burn them quickly? Well, regardless, we'll need to make sure it's only the dead left in this building. Anyone who burns it without checking would have to be some kind of monster."

The girl gave another sigh. Strictly speaking they weren't meant to interfere much more then this with unaware worlds, but how could she just stand by and let them, potentially, burn alive? She couldn't, to put it quite simply. "There's also some things I'll need to explain. I'm sure you're both reasonably intelligent and can tell this isn't the place you're used to."

Dr. Facilier

"Thank you," said the bokur. "Now, I have some business to deal with..." Facilier turned around and came from behind the curtain, to the woman in the foyer. "I'm on a tight schedule, missus, so we're going to have to make this quick. Dr. Facilier, dealer in hoodoo and voodoo, how may I help you?"

King Dedede--Yggdrasil

King Dedede scratched his chin. "Well, that sounds mighty bad, to me, though I suppose you knew that already," Dedede declared. "Well, I ain't an expert on this 'C.S.I.' deal, but the bottom line is that we've got to get to the bottom of this. So let's start from the bottom. We've got blood. We've got it contaminated with this worse-than-deadly illness. But we know where the bloods been taken from. So do we have any leads or anything? Is there a way to follow the trail to cease this crazy caper?"

Gintoki

"Come on now, I wouldn't think anyone would be that foolish..." Gintoki trailed off as he heard Saber's comment. Wait. Was this girl serious? She sounded serious. No way that was right, right?

"Erm... I'm... Not going to ask," he sighed, shaking his head in disbelief before walking after Nono and the loli vampire into the mansion. The maid... Well... To be fair, Gintoki himself wasn't sure what to make of her. A ghost? An alien? Some sort of time paradox that faded in and out of existence every so often?
...
Well, that wasn't worrisome for now. Right now, all he really wanted to do was to get out of this freakin' cold weather and get in the damn mansion!

Suwako

"Fixed in place, huh...?" Suwako mused to herself before taking a few steps back and waving her right hand over the sand beneath them. Well, there was definitely SOMETHING metal lodged underneath them... Which meant more of her moving the stuff out of the way. Sand was never fun to mess around with; always got in her eyes one way or another. But if they were going to try and leave the region...

The sand very quickly flew away from the group, further out into the desert to clear the way for the gate to become perceivable to everyone not with electrical circuits built into them or a goddess who could control earth. Needless to say, the gate was... A lot larger and more ornate than Suwako had initially expected it to be. But what kind of group set this up here in the first place?

Actually, that didn't matter as much as figuring out how the heck it worked. Without that, then what was the point of coming here at all?

"Uh... So... Anyone... Got a key for this or something?"

Kakine

Nodding to Marisa and 10032 as they both agreed to head to the Windowless Building, Kakine led the two out of the facility and into the less-than-developed District 21 hillside that the laboratory was built into. Since it was much too dangerous to attempt such experiments within the residential or industrial complexes, it was only natural for the interdimensional portal to be set up here, if anywhere. The Windowless Building remained on the horizon, standing tall among the tall skyscrapers and such. As ominous as it seemed, nobody really had business there unless there were direct orders to do so, which the three of them just so happened to have. That itself wasn't the issue, though. The problem now was...

"Hey, 10032. You think we should just walk there, or take the subway? Flying isn't allowed inside city limits, barring the airlines coming in and out of District 23..." he trailed off before he began to massage his forehead.
"...And the shortest route either way is through District 15. This is going to be fun."

An exasperated look on his usual calm face betrayed the irritation he had regarding the situation. Bringing a kleptomaniac into the city's shopping district AND mass media center? It was almost as if he was asking to get the authorities after them.

Geo and Omega-Xis - Castle Tepes

Geo and Omega-Xis had the same amount of confusion as Saber over the references the two had just made. "Pot roasts...?" Geo questioned quietly. "...I don't get it. There a joke I'm missing here?" Mega bluntly asked. Neither were strangers to video games, but the game in question was a little incredibly dated and literally alien for one of them.

It looked like they were getting a move on again. Shirley. Easy enough name for Geo to remember, though Omega-Xis probably wasn't going to memorize it anytime soon. As the two got a move on, Omega-Xis made the same observation Saber and Gintoki made and nudged Geo's arm. "Hey, Geo," he whispered to him, "Shir-what's-her-name. She a ghost like that guy Crown's partnered with?"

"...What!? A ghost!?" Geo whispered back.

"Yeah, yeah, check it out for me, wouldja?"

"How am I gonna do tha- whoa!!" With a hard pat on the back, Omega-Xis pushes Geo forward, right into Shirley.
