I can definitely help elaborate anything you're confused about. These characters are admittedly not for the faint of heart, but honestly, beyond all the pseudo-science, they are quite simple.

directional spatial dispersion gradient field

Is it just "scientific mumbo-jumbo", or does this actually have something to do with the mathematical concept of a gradient being applied to some sort of field that disperses the spatial coordinates of an object?

Beyond the pseudo-science, it means this "I displace space to cut things".

Once again, I stated these characters are built to scale. As bullshitty as they seem, they would only ever ascend to that level of ludicrousness should our opponents. Other than that, we can match your strength exactly. I also wouldn't be intimidated by the word 'space' or 'dimension', most of those are used for fancy pros, and those that aren't don't actually change the nature of the attacks/items themselves. Whether I say I use space, or an invisible magic sword, what is truly the difference other than properties and the words we use? At the end of the day, its a sword that will make you bleed, so move. :[

I don't think anyone was complaining about their scaling. Many of us have characters that scale to suit our opponents. And you are correct, in the end, if you stand still and get hit by a sword. . . one bleeds.

But the question still remains - should my ego be hurt because i do not understand what that directional spatial dispersion gradient field means, or is not supposed to make any sense?

It does make sense in the context that it's used in. Obviously that wouldn't work in reality, but what that short confusing jumble of words meant is again "Shit gets cut by displacement". No, your ego should not be bruised at all.

I suppose it makes sense. The thing pushes everything else away from it to cut you deeper. The everything else pushes or shrinks things to make them go faster.

Defensively, the things make things that hit it go off and away.

Against Cho and Kamato though, two human sized fighters...

Cho, I'm not so worried. He's made of darkness, can't really die anyway. Kamato? Yes, I am quite worried this won't be an even match up in our favour. Seems like everything that's going to get thrown at us is wildly out of our power zone.

In theory, could you define everything down in laymen's terms? I'm interested in seeing if I accurately understand the various abilities, under all that fancy writing.

Yay! I do like a character with some elaborate description to their abilities, don't get me wrong: it's just that a spatial displacement field made sense to me, but i could not fathom how a gradient should be applied to it. It'd be totally cool if there was an explanation to that; in fact, i'd stomach the debilitating strike to my ego if i got to hear it. XD

I mean, almost everything we can do is at least -somewhat- explained in the writing. Do you want my entire sheet TL;DR'd? Because that would take quite the bit of time to go and rewrite everything into a condensed form.

Not even seems, that's exactly what could happen. Don't let that discourage you though, I'm sure they will scale down to your size and be fair. @DJAtomika

Also, gradient means the edge of the field, like the word gradient in the context of positioning as opposed to the gradient which means an escalation of values.

Also, our characters are human sized. Their Deus Machinae whom they come from are the huge ones. They are just a plot device to explain away our characters existence.

As for posting order, I am in favor of team 1(my team) going first, and then yours. In that I mean my partner, me, DJ, then Bart.

@Sword So what you're saying is that your characters are dimension warping, human sized Transformers?

Not the whole sheet. Just the abilities bit. Humor me. I think I have it figured out, but I'm interested in seeing if I'm right.

You don't have too, of course, I'm just curious. If you aren't I can go back to focusing on my current bouts and runnin' this joint.

@DJAtomica Dimension warping is almost entirely theatric, if we are talking warping the actual contour of dimensions and whatnot. But other than that, they are a lot like transformers, power rangers, or any other group of crime fighting badasses. Yeah.

Also, my partner is on tablet, so he is incapable of posting his sheet on the forum itself without going through copious amounts of tedious work. I might be able to do it for him, however.

@Sword Please do so.

And about dimension warping, I have a character who can weaponise that, but I haven't written his sheet yet.
