I can definitely help elaborate anything you're confused about. These characters are admittedly not for the faint of heart, but honestly, beyond all the pseudo-science, they are quite simple.
directional spatial dispersion gradient field
Once again, I stated these characters are built to scale. As bullshitty as they seem, they would only ever ascend to that level of ludicrousness should our opponents. Other than that, we can match your strength exactly. I also wouldn't be intimidated by the word 'space' or 'dimension', most of those are used for fancy pros, and those that aren't don't actually change the nature of the attacks/items themselves. Whether I say I use space, or an invisible magic sword, what is truly the difference other than properties and the words we use? At the end of the day, its a sword that will make you bleed, so move. :[
Beyond the pseudo-science, it means this "I displace space to cut things".
It does make sense in the context that it's used in. Obviously that wouldn't work in reality, but what that short confusing jumble of words meant is again "Shit gets cut by displacement". No, your ego should not be bruised at all.
