I edited my IC post, the last paragraph denoting that my IC posts is back now in real time and able to finally start reacting to the events occuring - was missing due to a wordpad format error.

I watched Sunset Boulevard today (hadn't seen it before, it was great) and it got me all excited and inspired for all things noir.

My first post is up! I had the ideas floating around in my head all day, so I had to write them out, but concerning the bodies and everything, it's not necessarily something I'm expecting anyone else to go off of. I thought it would be a good intro for Max and the bar, and shows that Max really is not having a good night so far. I had this whole other part planned out as well, but I'm semi-exhausted so I'll just work it into a later post.

I'm really enjoying everyone's posts so far.

Edit: So what exactly is the general consensus on color coding vs. not? Is it just go by preference at this point?

On the topic of color coding, the times in which it has ever come in handy for me have been when I've had a buttload of characters. So for example there was an rp where I ended up doing about ten characters and color code came in handy for people searching the dialogue of whoever their character was interacting with. Kingfisher has wisely put a limit on how many characters are to be rp'ed, BUT the color code can still be quite useful. For people like me who like to insert the dialogue of others into their response posts, it can make it easy to go through an entire post, see the color, and go "oh there it is." But if we're being totaly honest the only reason I put some color in this post is because quite a few posts before me also had color. I don't believe it's really required in this rp unless others believe it will help them somehow.

On another note, my parrot usually sleeps downstairs, but I've started moving him upstairs at nights since about four days ago. He just saw the sun rising for the first time and he won't stop looking out the window now. What a sweetie pie.

I dont mind coloured texts, as long as the colours are easy enough to read.

I prefer to use the bold or Italicise words if it is needed but that is just a personal preference

Quick announcement!

Just so everyone knows, I will be leaving for Japan on Wednesday. I'll be there for one month, without my laptop and reliable Internet access. I'm confident that I'll be able to keep up with this roleplay while I'm overseas, but my posts may be lower in quality and length due to me using my phone to type things up.

@Mystic The Mcdonalds, 7-eleven and yoshinoya here all have wifi. You have to ask the staff counter to get it and they don't charge you yen, usually. I usually type mine on a phone when I'm at work too, you can use a notepad app to save your work then paste the post whenever you have access to the internet leisurely, it might be more convinient to you this way.

7-eleven are a Gaijin's best friend.

True, but I'm not sure I'll want to walk over every time I want to post. I'll have some sort of data, and I set up wifi at my Great Uncle who lives right next to me a few years ago, so I'll have internet. Some frustratingly slow ones, but internet nonetheless.
