All of that is your decision. My girl has an anger issue and get really hot thus she can make small fire balls. No big magic shows just something unusual like hearing voices that are not there or getting angry and a storm cloud forms over your head.

I have new ones but have held them back for when we ever start the exploration stage of the RP.
Of course you can create your own submit your own creature.
