Personality: Mabel is a very dominate personality. She is loud and tough, to the point even a drill sergeant would raise an eyebrow. This probably comes from her experience in many militaries, at least before they started checking records. To the outside she is a no nonsense woman that can be a very difficult woman to work with. She does have a soft side, but only those very close to her will ever see it. Those she cares about can be assured her unquestioning devotion, though it may still be somewhat cold compared to others.
History: Born in 17th century England she was the daughter of a poor human woman, Abigale, and her Vampire class demon lover, George. Like most demon children her father was an active part in her life. Despite crippling poverty she and her family scraped out a meager life in the countryside. At age 16 her father unsealed her soul, ending the polio like symptoms she had grown up with.
As luck would have it her soul was also Vampire class, something that made both her parents very proud. Her life was blessed and happy for four more years before disaster struck. At age 20 the local clergy finally grew wind of this isolated family, and went to investigate. Father Robin, the priest assigned to the case, accompanied by a mob attacked the house at noon and set it ablaze. Abigale and George hid their unwilling beloved daughter in a secret celler and fled the house. George and Abigale were soon killed by the mob, their agonizing screams forever embedded into Mabel's ears.
It was weeks before she finally arose from the wreckage, and left England. A drifter she began impersonating a man and enlisting in the various militaries of Europe under different names. The monotony of a soldier's life was comforting to her and was her life for centuries, she was especially adept at finding units with demon officers and many demon enlisted that could accommodate her weaknesses.
After WWII however her time of service was over. Modern technology had made it impossible for her to serve because she had no documents and the uniforms/hygiene left her exposed to the sun (she had taken to coating her skin in dirt and rags for years and serving only in winter but modern facilities made this impossible). Finally exiled she joined the exodus to America and found comfort in cooking. She moved every few years to avoid people seeing her lack of aging and even studied and various cooking schools over the years.
Currently she is a head cook in a small restaurant, and is enjoying her tranquil life.
