Three Days After Escape

The wreck was gone at this point, though some of the damage from the crash still remained. Part of a nearby food mart had been smashed in along with a traffic signal that had been ripped out of concrete from the crash. The first order of business for the Veiss family had been to quickly get rid of any evidence of their experiments, so a thorough cleansing of the area had been done. Vicktor lamented this necessity as despite his genetically enhanced hounds powerful senses there was little left to go off of.

The reason his two-headed hounds and his brother's cyberbeasts were able to fully examine the crash site without anyone noticing was the fact that their father had pulled some strings with the local government to have the area quarantined, as the armored vehicle had been carrying 'hazardous' material. Of course it was not typical chemical or biological agents in that transport, but devious experiments. They had been one of their more impressive batches and were about to be retrofitted to better serve but then it only took one drunk driver to completely destroy everything.

"Tch, if we had just gone after them as soon as we knew..." Vicktor started before he was rudely interrupted.

"Then we could not have silenced the emergency personal that had arrived at the scene." Robert chided, acting like the all-knowing big brother that he sort of was. Needless to say Vicktor was not pleased even if he knew it had been a necessity to keep any information from leaking into public hands.

"I see that not even your detective tin cans can find anything useful. The trail has gone cold, not even my devil hounds can track them from here." One of the said devil hounds turned one of its two heads in their direction and whined, as it was unsuccessful in sniffing out anything useful. "We'll just have to do search grids at this rate and look out for any 'special' reports."

"Yes that would be for the best," said Robert as he called off his mechanical fiends while Vicktor did the same with his own creatures.

"I'll be the first to find them and bag them!" Vicktor gloated as he strode off with his abominations.

"Oh, I would not be so sure of that." Robert smirked as a small cyber-roach crawled up his leg with a present, a piece of cloth from one of the experiments. "After all, I don't like sharing."

Three days was not a lot of time when you've been holed up on a lab for so long. The group of misfits had been removed from their cells and loaded up on a transport. Where they were going, who knows. But with the Veiss family you could bet it was nowhere good. Sophie had contemplated attempting escape but was powerless to do so. At least that was the case until the truck took a tumble. A wreck tossed all of them about and loosened their bonds. Breaking out were all different kinds of people, subjected to many different kind of experiments. Some looked normal while others were hards what they were when they were first brought in.

Despite all the differences they all had a odd connection to one another. Nothing substantial but there was a sense that they were in the same boat. Not wanting to be seen in the public Sophie tried to get everyone to move away from the crash site so they could hide. While she wasn't a great leader the thought of freedom resonated and they took off while they could. While not familiar with the location she had been on the streets before being nabbed by the insane family of scientists. Knowing better than to stop at the first building they came to they kept going while under the cover of darkness. Eventually they stopped at an abandoned factory. The old machinery inside was frozen with rust as the roof showed signs of leaking. Was this the safest place? Not really, but there weren't many alternatives at the moment.

Not really knowing about any of the others Sophie retreated up into the rafters. She was going to need time to adjust after being confined to a lab so long. Silently she had watched the others from above, trying to work up the nerve to actually speak with that. By the third day it was becoming more obvious that they, like herself, were just as out of the water as she. Sighing she descended to the floor and took a look around. If no one approached she would not be surprised given her appearance.

Jude really wanted to take the chance presented to him to kill the Veiss family line, or, at the very least, get a head start and off Robert. But, Jude wasn't completely stupid, and realized the futility in trying to off all five mad scientists and their guards. And they wouldn't be merciful and kill him, he knew that for a god damn fact. So, he followed Sophie, the demon girl. She seemed to know the streets; Not these ones, but just streets in general. Although he was wary of trusting her, it paid off when she stopped at a run down factory. Though the machines inside seemed to be broken, Jude knew he could salvage something from them.

So, Jude hunkered down and began inspecting the machines. An arm here, some wires there. Despite this being a fairly crappy looking place, everything that wasn't rusted could be used in some way, even as scrap. Some dumbass even left his tool box, a great find for someone who needed screwdrivers and hammers to "inspect wounds" and "set bones". The only issue, really, was the leaky roof. If Jude didn't want to rust, he had to take cover. The humans, obviously, didn't have that issue. But, they did need food, something definitely more dangerous than rain. He wondered how they were getting food anyways?

About maybe midway through day three of them being 'on the run' the group's unofficial leader descended from the rafters. Jude was curious if she had come down before that, and if she needed to eat at all. He was a bit more curious about some other stuff though, and he decided he and she needed to talk.

"Sophie." He said, walking up to her. "When do we plan to bring the fight to the Veiss family?" He asked, placing her as the leader. "They're looking for us, surely, and we need to get to them before they get to us." Jude explained. Honestly, he just wanted to get at Veiss. But, if he could gather all the rogue experiments and send them at the group, he'd have a better chance. Still though, they'd need to use guerrilla tactics even with more than one man on board. Focus on taking thugs out one by one, and disabling them. Priority one would probably be secure base. "I suggest looking for their cronies searching the city and stomping them out. What do you think?"

Alex peered out the window once again, his body a mottle of black and grey as it blended into the unlit interior of the factory. He had done it nearly forty times but still he still didn't feel safe. The last three days kept running through his eye as he checked window after window for signs of life. He tried to hide when they came to drag him to the truck, but they found him in the small cell, and easily overpowered him. Then the crash. Alex suppressed his first instinct to run the moment his restraints were loose to search the crate they loaded onto the truck. He pulled out the sheathed blade they tested with him. Alex needed a weapon, and the moment he had it, he made himself scarce.

Of course, Alex kept with the others. Safety in numbers. However he kept distant from the others, especially the robot guy, so if things went to hell, he could disappear with no problem. As he finished checking the last window to once again see and hear nothing but empty streets, Alex hoped the time to disappear would happen sooner rather than later. His fellows scared him almost as much as the Veiss's. Especially the robot guy.

Sure that he was safe for the moment, Alex turned from the window moved deeper into the factory, back towards the others. He heard the robot guy speak. Alex approached, his camouflage fading, and spoke, "Bring the fight to them? And end up chained to a wall even sooner? No chance tin man. I say we get the hell outta dodge. Take the opportunity to disappear," To accentuate his point, Alex activated his camouflage a moment, fading from view before reappearing.

Jordan peered through the sliver of peep hole in his holding cell. He wondered how many times he had been cut open and had his nerve endings detached and reattached all to fit more muscles. Although slow his body hadn't rejected any off the new muscles. As Jordan continued to peer through he noticed 4 large that shadowed the peephole. they entered with no words and before he had realized Jordan had been given a needle but never noticed there hands moving. it took the needle all of 10sec to take effect knocking him out completely.

Jordan was Shaken awake by the vehicle he had been in apparently, only to see the few others that were confined in the truck making a break for it. While Jordan knew nothing of these individuals they seemed to be running in the same direction and away from this...this hell chariot he decided to join up with them at least they all had one thing in common, not wanting to go back there. once they had stopped fleeing they happened upon an abandoned building all heading in. once inside everyone went there own way but still seeming to stay close.

Its been about 3days and he had began to get hungry, unsure if anyone else felt the same way he began to approach the makeshift leader that seemed to be in conversation with the large samurai gent. he over heard the apart of the convo that sounded like "taking the fight to the Veiss Family" he warily interjected "Excuse me I dnt know your name but I can agree with wanting to get vengeance but could we maybe get some food first cant fight on an empty stomach" Jordan says

Chilled Taryn crept through the factory. Her childish features were scarred by a pinch of fear, but shivering with cold.
Although she was highly skeptical of her unusual travelling partners, it was still better than still being with the awful scientists.

"Say... have you got any kind of blanket or something? I'm cold"
Her slight Russian accent made her question sound all the more sweet. Taryn being cold also completely froze her usually pretty bouncy mood. She was hungry and was still wearing some kind of lab coat she was put in by the scientists.

"If I may, I think I might be able to go out onto the streets to beg for some food.", she suggested smiling weakly her dirtied face looking absolutely pitiful and her usually unblemished skin was littered with small cuts and bruises.

What, was she the de facto leader now? Great, this wasn't what Sophie had in mind when she lead everyone to this dump. Everyone seemed to be coming over now and putting in their two cents. There were several good points made. "While I would love to go after the people that did this I don't think everyone is up for it right now. It's been three days and most of us need to eat still." She motioned to herself and the others. "If we act now we run the risk of getting captured again. And I doubt they've done to us so far will be half the punishment we'll receive in the end."

That said she wasn't quite sure how to feed them. Thus far she seemed to be the most street smart but there was no way she could step out in public. She was a prisoner in her own skin. Jude wasn't in a much better situation but at least he looked cool. Maybe could pass off as a prop or something if they really needed to move during the day. Putting that thought aside she turned to Taryn. Apparently the girl was actually older than one might think but her young appearance was hard to get past. Being much larger Sophie stepped closer to the girl and picked her up easily. Would Taryn hate being treated this way, maybe. But putting a wing around her the cold went away as if wrapped in a heated blanket. "Even if we have to get something uncooked I can heat it up. I may be a monster but I'll use my new 'gifts' anyhow."

Jordan would notice Taryn's approach and listened on to what Sophie had to say, and as any good leader she made good points and was quite kind. he thought to himself, noticing as Taryn said she was cold the and sophie warmed her up. "Hey" Jordan would say unsure of Taryns name "if you go out dont go alone im not sure what happened to you exactly, but if we do move about maybe we should try to do it in teams, I figure we're all in the same boat its the least we could do for one another." Jordan would look on to the makeshift leader for approval or denial of the suggestion

"im sorry I don't know anyones name but if any would like to Know my name is Jordan and I cant agree with the you being a monster, boss" he would say looking at sophie I don't think a monster would have taken a small girl under her wing if she was hungry, noo monsters are people that take advantages of anothers plight to further along there sick goals not you you led us to safety and I appreciate it" Jordan said looking up at Sophie

Jude was deeply disappointed in his human soldiers. How in the ever loving god had these dumbasses not eaten yet? It also seemed everyone hated his idea. Sure, most of them were useless sacks of trash, especially that shady paranoid kid, but with Jude there, one or two of them might have survived. Besides, did they think they'd be able to easily roam the streets? Jude was sure the Veiss's owned this city. Their robot drones were searching the streets right now. Jo-whatever-the-fuck was right to want to join up with Tarpit.

"Call me 'Tin Man' one more time, 'Invisible Girl', and I'll run you through, and stick my arrows in your corpse." Jude threatened, pointing a menacing finger at Alex. He wished he could make a face too, but Jude was sure Alex was pissing his pants anyways. He then turned to the 3 other people he was conversing with. "Well, I guess you guys do have to eat, one of those silly biological processes. It'll be dangerous though, I'm sure. Tar, was it? You and... uh, Jojo, I think. don't correct me, I don't care enough about you. You two can go beg on the corner if you want. But I'm sure they're covering all the streets and crap already. Hell, yaknow what? Alex, you go too. Stay invisible and scout ahead for streets not being scanned. Stay invisible even if you're in the clear though. I don't want your garbage face getting rid of the sympathy, like the wasteful leech you are." Jude commanded. He was hoping to be able to filter his orders through the more relatable Sophie, but this would have to do. "So, after you guys are all fed and stuff, I want any spare funds to be funneled into getting a six pack of walkie-talkies. If we plan to destroy every Veiss, like most do." Jude said, glaring at Alex once again. "You receiving me and Sophie's orders will be paramount. Erm, Sophie and I's orders, that is."

Robert grinned at the piece of cloth, normally such a small piece would be useless but Robert knew how to use it as a direct line to the runaways. Feeding the piece into a special machine it dissected it and transformed it into a special tracking formula that included the DNA of one of the experiments. He was not sure which one it was but it was not one of his creations at any rate. The special tracking 'scent' would last for only a short while before it disintegrated however, plus they had wasted time so he had to move fast. Gathering his trackers he quickly started to head for the more disreputable and abandoned sections of town, which is where the experiments were likely hiding. He just had to get close enough to location their position, in the end though there was quite a bit of luck involved in the hunt but he had the advantage over his siblings.

Police Chase

"Pull over now ye varmints and I won't have ta pop yer caps!" Grace Hillsborn, police detective roared at the stolen vehicle housing three masked men who had just recently robbed a marijuana bank of all things. Considering how much money those 'medical' marijuana providers could rack in she wasn't really surprised. They had taken cash and most of the drug stock, probably hoping to fence it in another state where it was illegal to up their cash flow even more. They were unlucky though since as they were loading up the goods, Grace and her partner, a young cop new to the force, happened to be on patrol and quickly gave chase.

"I don't think you are very convincing detective." The young officer quipped in the passenger's seat, which quickly made him the target for Grace's angry eye.

"Ya, well I donna give a hoot. Ya'll are going down in a pinch weather they know it or not." They had been chasing them for a while now, the robbers were heading to less populated parts of town, places where business and industrial complexes failed, essentially a ghost town inside of the city. Grace hated to admit it, but those crooks were better drivers than she was and unfortunately there was a worse incident nearby with a gunman so they had not backup.

"Dog gone, they'll skidaddle if we donna do somethin soonish. Guess it be time ta take the initiative." The young cop watched with his jaw wide open as Grace rolled down her window, stuck her gun out with one hand and rather unceremoniously, shot out one of the car's rear tires. "That outta do it."

"You serious?"

"Yep, hey that car may be another's but collateral damage happens junior." Grace defended her actions as the car started to lose control, but someone the other driver kept her upright and drove into a rather narrow alley, and nasty scrapping could be heard and Grace made sure to stop before going in. The two looked and sure enough they stolen car had gotten stuck.

"Heh, easy like me ma's pie." Grace laughed once, but stopped as the thieves quickly broke the front window, got all they could carry and climbed out. "Cheeze curds," was her impromtu curse word for the moment, "stop ya law breakers!" But like most criminals they did not listen and ran for it. They could see on the other side an abandoned industrial complex, perhaps and old factory of some kind.

"Well we're still outnumbered by their posse, guess I'll need to bring a little extra firepower to scare em like little doggies." Grace walked out of her car, with a shotgun she liked to call, 'riot control' as one shut pretty much shut down anything.

"That can't be standard issue."

"Course it ain't, it's my own. I got special permission from the upper crest if that what ya wanna know." The two carefully made their way around to chase down the men, though the new officer could not help but thing his superior officer was a little off her rocker.

"Still way too cute..." Alex thought as he watched Sophie scoop Taryn up, and quite literally took her under her wing. Alex had a hard time believing that Taryn was basically the same age as he. Alex was still thinking about this when Jude responded to his ribbing, threatening painful death, and jabbing a metal finger in his face.

Alex stepped back from Jude, fading a bit by reflex, and raising in his hands in surrender. "Alright, alright, geeze. Don't get your gears in a twist, I just don't like the idea being in close contact with the doctor so soon." Alex remained a few steps back, occasionally flicking his gaze between the others while Jude gave out orders. After Jude was done giving orders, Alex stepped forward and spoke, still clearly frightened by Jude's words. Uh, I could just go and grab everything we need. I mean, wh-why beg if I can just get it for free, right? And then no one else has to come with me. I mean risk being spotted."

Sighing a moment it looked to Sophie that Jude was not going to give a crusade quite so easily. "Alright. After we've eaten we'll look into fighting back. But we have to be careful. There's no telling who is in with the Veiss family." Off in the distance the sound of a gunshot could be heard. To most it would have been hard to distinguish but Sophie's hearing was greatly improved. It wasn't long until sirens, screeching of tires, and scraping of metal could be heard outside the building. "Everybody hide. This might be your chance Jude."

Setting Taryn down she approached the side of the building that the kerfuffle was happening. Several men were outside. Before Sophie had the chance to move the sound of glass breaking alerted everyone to the group's entrance. Their hasty scramble inside was halted by the sight of a robot man and a demon woman. Frozen for a moment one of the men started to raise a gun. Flicking her tail Sophie turned and pounced, her wings giving her a boost of speed. Before the man could finish the motion she had her hands wrapped around his throat. A second of the intruders had his legs pulled out from under him by Sophie's tail. Whirling around she tossed one and then the other back out into the alley.

Glancing back down undoubtedly Jude was ready to move as well. She'd yet to see the robotic man work but these men were far outmatched against the mechanized adversary. Spotting the goods they stole on the ground it occurred to Sophie that they were likely chased here by officers. A quick look out the window confirmed this with the tell tale flashing of red and blue.

Of course Taryn was surprised at first being picked up and huddled into Sophie's cuddly, fluffy wings, but how could one ever resist the cuddlyness of feathers? But she was 18 for god's sake... she needn't be treated this way anymore... but... but... fluffy wings...
Her small internal conflict also reflected on her face, but finally her mind made peace with itself. Being treated like a kid certainly had their advantages.
"Yeah, I'm Taryn. But Tar is fine, too", her face lit up as she answered the question that wasn't really directly asked.

She sensed she was slowly getting used to her strange companions, but at the same time she also felt a future task growing. They needed to stay together and strong, only then they had a sliver of a chance against Veiss, but at the moment it felt that the group was ready to tear themselves apart if it wasn't for the immediate threat. When she had looked around earlier, she had not spotted anybody who'd she estimate to be that guy or girl to keep the merry band together and healthy. She mentally prepared to be that girl. With all those fighters around, it was probably the most useful thing she could do.

The gunshot startled her to death and when Sophie dropped her, she quickly scurried behind some kind of pillar of some sort from which she peeked out to watch the proceedings.

Alex nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard the gunshot. While he knew his enhancements made it seem it was louder and closer than it was, he still faded, placing a hand on his dagger's sheathe while he was at it. His fears were confirmed as the screeches, sirens, and crashing of what was most likely a car chase drew closer and closer. Alex cringed at each sound, before a final slam echoed throughout the factory as something big crashed into it, sending him scurrying under a nearby machine.

"My luck really isn't that bad, is it?" Alex wondered. Yet it clearly was, as the carload of robbers fled into the building. Alex watched as Sophie and Jude moved to confront the criminals. "Good, let them fight it out." He watched the pair engage the robbers, not surprised at the ease with which they dispatched the intruders. What truly worried him, however, was the blue and red flashing of the police car outside. He didn't think it was here by coincidence, and the officers were sure to enter the building soon after the first group.

Alex slid out from under the machinery, and quickly made his way toward the door, hoping to slip out in the confusion, before the police enter the building.

Jude listened with interest as pussyboy Alex offered to get them the food with his invisible powers. "Hm. Not a bad idea. Less at stake when you only send one guy out." Jude mumbled to himself. He also almost got happy for once when Sophie cleared his 'kill all Veiss' plan. She did tell him to be careful though, something he normally wouldn't be a fan of. But, he had a feeling it was all for the better; And besides, she was the (other) leader. They needed to balance each other out, fury and patience and all that.

Soon after, Jude heard something, sirens maybe? And stuff screeching to a halt. It didn't take much to put two and two together. Some form of authority was chasing after... something. It could be the police, but Jude kept his guard up, and so did Sophie. She made her way to where the scuffle was happening, and, sure enough, two robber looking dicks showed up. Sophie was closer, and quickly made an attempt to strangle one thug, before chucking the two back out into the alley. Jude gave pursuit to them. His blades were hungry for blood.

Jude crashed out into the alley as fast as possible, eager to take out his growing anger on the fools who broke into His headquarters. He quickly drew one of his blades, and pointed it at one of the motherfuckers. He almost would have been grinning, but he wasn't completely sadistic, and he didn't have a mouth. He quickly slashed at one of the dudes' throats. The man gasped helplessly as he tried to suck down air from his faulty throat. Jude stared at him struggle, slightly mesmerized and sick. He probably would have had nausea, had he a stomach.

Suddenly, a shot rang out, and Jude was slammed in the side with a bullet. He growled in pain, and stared down at where he was hit. There was now a good dent in his side, and a bullet lodged in there. He sighed in annoyance. "What a pain..." He quipped, shaking his head. The live gunman seemed kinda scared. Probably because it seemed like Jude was an unstoppable killing machine. While most would believe that true, Jude would concede he was not invincible, he just didn't have pain sensors. Jude decided to put the man out of his misery, nocking the arrow and aiming it. But, for some reason, he just.. couldn't follow through. The two simply stared at each other, locked in a stalemate with weapons drawn.

By the time Grace and her young partner, who was trying to keep back as much as possible, made it to the scene things had already gone underway, quite badly for the robbers. One was already down for the count, his throat slashed open while another one was currently locked in a stare down with one of the strangest things she had ever seen. It was a robotic samurai, at least that is what it appeared to be. There also appeared to be 'something' else in the building but Grace had more pressing matters to attend to at the moment.

The third robber, who had lagged a bit behind the others and therefore managed to avoid getting smacked and gutted, was understandably quite scarred and made a bolt for a different alleyway. Grace noticed he had dropped his gun in panic so she quickly signaled her protege to chase after him. Not wanting to be caught up with whatever the heck that was pointing a crossbow at the remaining crook, the young man nodded and chased after the thief.

Now Grace was alone with the 'samurai-roid' and the last remaining robber. She was quite happy she had decided to take her shotgun. "Now see here, let's put down the weapons nice and quiet like so I don't have ta start shooting." The problem with two armed 'people' was it could be hard to know which one to point her weapon at, she decided to aim at both equally.

"I ain't sure what ya are but I'm here to make an arrest. Stand down and I might allow ya to get away with self-defense." This was certainly not a situation in her years of service that had ever come up before.

The gunman was now thoroughly freaked out being caught between a crossbow-wielding robot thing and a police officer with a shotgun of all things. "Stay back you freak! Damn, what a crazy ass situation." Cursing the gunman considered his options, to give up into the custody of the police to escape the angry robot or to try and fight it out? All of his options seemed like crap.

A cyber hound, much of its body parts replaced with metal, especially the claws, had caught the 'scent'. Bounding toward where the experiments should be, a transmission was automatically fed back to Robert, giving the approximate location. Other cybers quickly started to congregate on the area, all of these were animal based as Robert wanted to move as quickly as possible.

The cyber hound's thermal visions quickly picked up some signatures, the closest being a humanoid running from another humanoid. Running forward the beast tackled the out-of-luck third robber and promptly bite his chest. The cyber hound was designed to paralyze its prey, which meant an electrical current shot from its teeth through the robber who managed to give one good scream before falling unconscious. Quickly the dog's sensors noticed it was just a regular human and since it was designed not to leave witnesses, ripped out his throat.

The poor young officer gave one quick glance at the cyber hound bloodying up the robber and ran faster than he ever had in his life. "Holy crap! Help me!"

After ensuring the robber was dead the hound zoomed after the young officer to do him in next.

As the downtrodden group of freaks milled about the abandoned factory, Bethany sat by the wall, hugging her knees with her head resting sideways on her arms. This situation was somewhat similar to what she had been through before being picked up by the Veiss family, the only difference is now bad people were actively hunting after her, rather than just harassing her when they happened upon her on the street.

The others argued, some wanted to get out of dodge, and some wanted revenge. She was leaning toward the former. There was no point killing anyone, and the further they got away, the less likely the Veiss family would catch up to them. They couldn't possibly have power and friends everywhere.

Besides, she was the only one here who essentially had no powers(that's what they'd be called in a comic book, anyway) at the moment. From Viktor Veiss' murmuring during lab sessions, she had come to understand her powers to some degree. She made her eat things, or else let spiders and snakes and dogs bite her to see what would happen. She knew now, she could pick up traits from other animals. But he had flushed them all from her system to prepare her for transport. And right now she was basically pure human.

As she watched the others, she wondered vaguely if she could pick up that boy's camouflage power by biting him. Or if his genetic mutations wouldn't "count."

It was then that a gunshot galvanized the others into action. Beth didn't hear it at first, but several of the other reacted, and she lifted her head to see. When the crash came, two of them moved to fight, and the rest basically fled. Beth saw the youngest girl, Taryn, her name was, hide behind a support pillar. She ran to join her, pressing next to her protectively. She was the only other girl besides the demon woman(as Beth thought this she chided herself for the cruel description) and Bethany felt a need to keep her safe.

Bethany didn't gather too much from around the pillar, but when she heard a cop talking she looked out from around the pillar. She caught a glimpse of one of a low to the ground robot, and she knew it must be a Veiss contraption. She grabbed Taryn's hand and bolted for the nearest window.

"Not good" Jordan thought to himself "we were close to a semblance of normality, but this this is not what we needed" he thought to himself Seeing so much going on all at once. "shit what do I do" Jordans thoughts were racing as he looked for his placement in the situation. what he did manage to do was keep an eye on Tar As she was so far the only on whose name he learned but on the other hand a "comrade" was down but had a weapon drawn, Although it seemed he was hesitating along with the other guy.

Weaponwise Jordan knew he was no good in fight aside from hand to hand combat or a contest of brute strength Jordan was all but useless, and this chick with a shotgun just made him realize he was all the more useless. "In which case I could try to at least keep an eye on tar but, where did she go?" Jordan asked himself as he noticed she and another one of the gang making a break for the window "Dammit we should at least stick together" he thought as he tried to catch up to them to at lest watch over them. While everyone had abilities he didn't know theres hopefully he could be of some use.

Taryn watched as the robbers got slaughtered and almost vomited at that sight. Shaking her head, she tried, successfully, to clear it, but as soon as she felt better, a cyber robot dog appeared. "Veiss!", she managed to burst out before she got dragged away by the the other girl who had been sitting up to the wall until the robbers had arrived when she scurried to lean against Taryn.

Getting dumped behind the window, Taryn managed to wrestle out of Beth's grip and then poke her head back up.
A serious look manifested on her face as she aimed her head towards the dog. Then she inhaled heavily and quickly afterwards exhaled strongly again. A pink bubble started to appear at her mouth, looking pretty similar to a bubble a bubblegum would create.
Before the dog could switch targets, the sticky, pink blob was on the way, aiming to pin the robot to the wall behind it.

Alex scooted around the shotgun wielding officer, holding his breath the whole time, and was out the door in a flash. He dashed down an alleyway, and found he had followed the other officer, and a third robber. He was turning to flee in a different direction when he saw it. One of the Veiss's cyber-hounds. It leaped onto the robber, and after a moment of what Alex assumed was scanning, messily tore open his throat. If he were visible, Alex would have gone green.

Alex nearly drew his dagger out of reflex, but stayed his hand, hoping to still have a chance to escape. He slowly tried to back away without drawing attention from the cyber-hound, when the officer broke into a sprint away from it, shouting out, "Holy crap! Help me!" The officer slammed bodily into Alex, the both of them tumbling to the ground.

"Ah hell! You idiot!" Alex struggled to disentangle himself from the officer, but he was stuck under the heavier man. Luckily both Alex and the officer were saved by Taryn's intervention from the window as she blew a bubble that made its way right for the robot. Alex made a mental note to thank her for that later.
