Three Days After Escape
The wreck was gone at this point, though some of the damage from the crash still remained. Part of a nearby food mart had been smashed in along with a traffic signal that had been ripped out of concrete from the crash. The first order of business for the Veiss family had been to quickly get rid of any evidence of their experiments, so a thorough cleansing of the area had been done. Vicktor lamented this necessity as despite his genetically enhanced hounds powerful senses there was little left to go off of.
The reason his two-headed hounds and his brother's cyberbeasts were able to fully examine the crash site without anyone noticing was the fact that their father had pulled some strings with the local government to have the area quarantined, as the armored vehicle had been carrying 'hazardous' material. Of course it was not typical chemical or biological agents in that transport, but devious experiments. They had been one of their more impressive batches and were about to be retrofitted to better serve but then it only took one drunk driver to completely destroy everything.
"Tch, if we had just gone after them as soon as we knew..." Vicktor started before he was rudely interrupted.
"Then we could not have silenced the emergency personal that had arrived at the scene." Robert chided, acting like the all-knowing big brother that he sort of was. Needless to say Vicktor was not pleased even if he knew it had been a necessity to keep any information from leaking into public hands.
"I see that not even your detective tin cans can find anything useful. The trail has gone cold, not even my devil hounds can track them from here." One of the said devil hounds turned one of its two heads in their direction and whined, as it was unsuccessful in sniffing out anything useful. "We'll just have to do search grids at this rate and look out for any 'special' reports."
"Yes that would be for the best," said Robert as he called off his mechanical fiends while Vicktor did the same with his own creatures.
"I'll be the first to find them and bag them!" Vicktor gloated as he strode off with his abominations.
"Oh, I would not be so sure of that." Robert smirked as a small cyber-roach crawled up his leg with a present, a piece of cloth from one of the experiments. "After all, I don't like sharing."
