Wasn't DIO like five arcs ago?
Also he was, you know, a superpowered vampire with an overpowered punchghost and he still would have gotten wrecked by Joseph and Polnareff if not for bullshit regeneration and being able to survive brain stabbings.

DIO toyed with all of them and wouldn't have died to Joseph and Polnareff at all because of his stand. All he had to do is stop time and kill them, he toyed with them the entire time. A minute, 60 seconds of frozen time is enough to do so much. Not only that, but your first post already has you godmodding @oni_'s character. For 60 seconds, you could stop time, pick up a bat and beat anyone to death who doesn't have superhuman durability. Stopping time is an incredibly powerful and unbalanced power.

Dragging him about five feet isn't really godmodding. Especially considering that Jack is described as physically weak.

Is it really godmodding if it's grabbing someone by the arm and moving them a couple feet without time-stopping?

@Wei Phoenix It wasn't really god modding. Stopman didn't even stop time to drag him to he. Besides, like @Xenonia said, 5 feet is not too long of a distance. It's realistic. I think the post is fine, unless Oni_ opposes it.

I understand that argument and will concede that point. However, time manipulation is still free GMing. Whenever it's used, there's nothing you can do and you have to take everything that is done because there's no way that your character can react to said actions.

@Wei Phoenix As said before, as long as it can be managed fairly then it's ok. Besides, we haven't seen him in action yet. If the player complains first hand, as in fighting him, that whatever method the power is used in is unfair, then it can be edited around to fit both people's needs.

Nothing's really inherently OP in an RP sense for the most part, since it's up to us to control how it's used rather than a fixed mechanic.

If you really think about it quite a few characters could be considered OP.

The cloth manipulating guy for example, that's pretty powerful considering he can not be naked and then control the clothes to stop you taking them off.

Abuse empowerment girl can just do something like go to a brothel, touch a girl, try and fight her way out and them come out of it super duper powerful (since the shit will be beaten out of her).

Peripheral translocation is cool and all, but lets you get out of a ton of battles. Could be considered OP by cowards.

Lilith, is inherently OP. But I'm cool with that because of catching her off guard and I assume she's the plot villain.

Hell. Even Jack can be considered crazy OP. Being able to set rules like he does? I wouldn't trust anyone in free RP with that. Or anyone I didn't think would be able to moderate it. Think of the stuff he could do to be able to just run away.

It's all in how we use it, if we do something to crazy then we have a ton of people to act as a jury on the matter.

But, I would appreciate not having to do my exit twice next time. Just confront me outside if that's cool and fits in the situation.

To counter act with how strong she is, I've made her more of an assassin like character. While she can be quite invulnerable, you can still do tactics that can stun her and stuff like that. In addition, she can still be overwelmbed with attacks (But not be killed by mortal hand and weapons), not to mentioned surprised and wounded with enough force, and when she feels like enough is enough or that she's losing, she will often retreat or leave your character with a mind fuck. So she CAN be "defeated", just not be killed with the mortal hand. She'll more often retreat then kill, as they are not worth her time. She has her mind on vengence with TWO people/angels (took at the bio for that info).

Yes she will be a plot character in the future and yes you'll probably still encounter her before that time comes. BUT, I got an anti-character covered for her, Adam, who'll I'll make some time more in the future.

Don't worry though, she may sound OP, but I'll use her right and fairly. :)

Name: Terrance Evans

[Picture]

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Hero

Powers: Telepathy- Terrance is a very capable and versatile telepath. He's not the strongest in the world but where he lacks in raw power, he more than makes up for in versatility. Applications of telepathy include: Mind reading, mind wiping, astral projection, mental downloading, etc.

Telekinesis- Terrance is also a very powerful telekinetic. Just like his telepathy, his telekinesis is very versatile and able to be applied through many ways. Examples would include: Shields, flight, moving objects, etc.

Drawbacks- Though Terrance has a wide array of abilities under these powers, he does not have conscious access to them all while. He has trapped his own mind subconsciously and believes that the life that he is living is one big MMO game. He can not use all of abilities while he is under his own mental prison he has to "level up" to increase his abilities or learn a new move. He is able to "respec" his points before a mission or battle to shut off some powers in order to gain access to others. For example, in his mind if he knows that his character has access to powers in his telepathy and telekinesis trees but he's about to go and fight an army of robots then he can access "character power chart" and respec his points to where he no longer has telepathy, but now has more telekinesis moves.

Telepathic Immunity- This is only active while he is awake and conscious. When he is asleep, another telepath could try to break into his mind and get past the blocks to pull him out of his dream world. When he is unconscious, all of his mental defenses are completely down and another telepath will have a much easier time reaching him.

Weapons: Able to forge Telekinetic blades in his hands.

Personality: The PK Kid is brave, courageous, eager for adventure and carries a strong love of justice. Terrance however is more introverted, lacks any sense of self-confidence and feels utterly useless and abandoned. He lives his life but he's not happy about it all unless he's playing a game.

History: Raised as an army brat, Terrance was always moving around from state to state, city to city, country to country. He himself didn't do much moving since he was bound to a wheelchair all his life since birth. Terrance spent his time playing games and reading books
so he could briefly be someone else that he was not. His powers were always lying latent in his body, they only lacked the will to bring them to the surface. This will surfaced when his father was arrested and imprisoned under false charges. His mother had gone "missing" as the government took her to a holding facility to interrogate her. Terrance felt betrayed by his own home government as he was forced into an orphanage in the last city that his father was based, Neo-Tokyo. The anger that boiled inside of him made him feel useless, weak and powerless. His powers awakened as he wished for himself to be lost, to be somewhere else, to just bury himself into one of his video games. Terrance was walking, levitating, flying and moving things with his mind, but in his mind, he was playing a video game. His mind snapped as his body healed. The world of Neo-Tokyo was his playground and he was going to play the hero and protect it like a super hero.

Weakness: Base physical level of durability is only around peak human, though his durability to energy based attacks are higher, he's no tank. Easily manipulated while his mind is trapped.

Other: I know this is an anime superhero rp, but it's so hard to find an anime picture of good quality of a young Black kid.

@Wei Phoenix The boondocks are a good start lol. But yes, your character is accepted. Go ahead and put him in the CS, while deleting the profile here on the OCC.

I'd like to join if that's alright with you. Also going by the approved character list we're pretty much well past any point for crying about overpowered abilities on CSes and it's gonna boil down to how they're used or not and whether the GM allows it.

@Wei Phoenix
So... he has two do-anything powers.

One of which allows him to pull mindwipes, and read minds (generally used as carte blanche for metagaming).

The other is telekinesis.

@clanjos Basically he's like Ness/Lucas. But while reading back, I think the reading minds and mindwipe things might have to go, unless you can (as said before) balance them out.

My villain character also has telekinesis, which again, I can allow unless someone does a huge spam attack of em.

Ness' powers were healing, barriers, an instant kill and his special superattack. Primary damage dealer was Paula.

That being said I personally think it's a pretty cool idea for a character and there's no real need to nerf it. I think everyone can keep themselves in check. After all, we're all adults, aren't we?

Exactly. As long as we keep ourselves in check, I think we can all get along fine. If problems arise, we'll deal it out like real men/women, and not like little kids.
