I'm sorry but I'm stepping out too. It doesn't seem like you know whether to make this into a purely roleplaying adventure or a stat based one and you seem to be getting caught between the two.
There's a number of problems with the game system, the main one being that the Attack stat is entirely worthless to the characters and actually hampers them by decreasing their health, which are getting in the way of the gameplay working for me, and I think it'd be best if I allow people who have a better grasp of the system to play without me getting in the way.
Hitting Streak with a totally unblockable attack and then arguing about me trying to regain a little health was a low blow, and I think that's what @SimplyJohn was talking about when he said 'metagaming'.

I actually went back and made edits to my own posts when you were in the right and after you'd explained the situation a little clearer. But again, I can't apologize for having an enemy attack somebody. I had the Warhound attack me afterwards because I'm not picking on anyone, it just makes for a good story if you're actually trying to still tell one. And God know's what you would've thought of if I'd have had it go after knighthawk's guy again... If I get my guy's hp down to about 1 or 2 points he's gonna run and try to find shelter somewhere in the war zone.
And there's no reason it can't be a stat based adventure and an RP. knighthawk mentioned being away for a bit, it's easier to write him out in the actual storytelling than mid-battle. Each post doesn't have to be in-battle for you to gain a post to your post count, hell your entire post could be a flashback sequence to your origin and have no effect at all on the battle.
If people wanna step out in the thick of it, no prob. Games like this aren't perfect in every post and it's always rough around the edges trying to work a new system, which I admit has had changes made since the game started. I'm sorry attacks have to be dumbed down, and that Signature moves are the only moves worth extra hp. If every attack is a special move, has different abilities that work for so many turns, that effect certain items or people, etc. things get a lot more confusing. Trust me this isn't the first time I've done stat based games. If this was meant purely to be about the in-battle stuff and not storytelling/RP'ing then it would've been in the Arena section.
If I have to write two characters out then I'll probably do it with Mad Harriet hitting the scene in my next post or two. Still talking to a couple folks through PM's so we may already have the void filled. Still not sure what kinda heroes they're working on but hopefully somebody that can fly...
