Weight: 65.77 Kilograms

Augmentations:
- Optical Smartlens
- E-MK XII Encephalon Cerebral Booster
- Spinal-mounted R6 Skilljack
- A-MK VII Synthelectrocardium
- Integral Cyberdeck
- Enhanced Joint Articulation
Where possible, most of Traction's augmentations are discerete and low-impact bioware. Her integral Cyberdeck has been modified to appear as an integral Commlink if scanned, while her Skilljack is already a regulation device employed by many corporations. Security scans of her body would not lead to any unsavory conclusions and would convey the impression that she was a corporate drone, which would correspond with a number of her forged SINs.
While there was some consideration over whether or not to replace Traction's eyes with complete prosthetics, it was determined doing so would create too much of a hardware-oriented vulnerability. Instead, her natural lens were replaced by a Smartlink system integrated into an organic crystal lattice. Even if the Smartlink function were hacked and deactivated, the lens function as perfect duplicates of Traction's original lens, allowing her to retain her natural vision.
The E-MK XII Encephalon augmentation is a recently developed upgrade to its hardware founded predecessor, linking conventional cerebral booster bioware with a scaled-back Encephalon device. The device has had most of its core features stripped, to the point where the remainder were easily integrated with a standard datajack. The cerebral bioware now accounts for the bulk of the cognitive boost, while subroutines in the modified Encephalon datajack enhance the effect in the same manner of a conventional Encephalon device utilizing regular hardware. The cognitive boons are less pronounced than when using a fully integrated Encephalon NEXT device, but it saves on space and possesses a greatly reduced biometric profile while combining its functions with that of a datajack.
The Datajack in question is a R6 Skilljack, enabling Traction to utilize various Knowsoft chips and programs in order to supplement her talents.
The myocardium of Traction's heart has been replaced with a synthetic weave containing electroplaques capable of delivering automatic defibrillation in the event of cardiac arrest. Standard filtration has also been added, allowing the heart to filter out any toxins in the bloodstream. Since any toxin that makes it that far will have already necessarily circulated throughout the body, the filtration system merely mitigates the effect of toxins on the body rather than preventing them.
The details concerning Traction's integral cyberdeck are especially confidential due to the critical nature of its use, operation, and maintenance. It can be repaired, modified, removed, and replaced with a simple outpatient surgery procedure and is not considered to be an invasive augmentation. The cyberdeck is connected to Traction's nervous system along the spinal column, the connection being mediated and supplemented by black box intended to function as an analog to a conventional surge suppressor, reducing the impact of biofeedback.
The Enhanced Joint Articulation bioware augmentation was one made when Traction was only fourteen during her interim occupation as [DATA EXPUNGED].

>That is nobody's business anymore.
Traction originally came to SCIRE when she was ten as a SINless secret child of Reraku Employee [DATA EXPUNGED]. In compliance with corporate policy she was expelled from the arcology. Her parents were either unable or unwilling to provide financial support to Traction from within the arcology, prompting
Investigation into her early years in SCIRE reveal a working relationship with the Yakuza as a [DATA EXPUNGED], likely due to [DATA EXPUNGED], which was when Traction received her EJA augmentation as well as her first datajack (its placement on the nape of her neck dictating the placement of all future datajack replacements and upgrades). As the Yakuza had little time for her otherwise, when off the clock Traction was remitted to the custody of the local Humanis Policlub's commonhouse.
In order to capitalize on her [DATA EXPUNGED], when she turned fifteen Traction was apprenticed to a Yakuza Decker who immediately died on the job. She was then shifted around between subcontracted Shadowmarket Deckers and Riggers of varying note for the next three years, with none of them surviving more than two months after the day of her assignment. While foul play was suspected, investigation has revealed that most if not all of her mentors were killed either by Renraku Matrix security or due to personal abuse of various addictions; Traction's unfortunate 'death streak' appears to have been genuinely incidental. Eventually Traction eschewed the need for a mentor and began working independently, although she retained ties with the Yakuza and continued working in their employ both in [DATA EXPUNGED] and in the Shadow market (likely due to an outstanding services debt tied to her augmentations and BTL addition).
When Traction turned twenty, they bought their debt from the Yakuza and sought legitimate employment with Renraku as a Matrix technician using a fake SIN. While her forged identify passed all initial inspections, Traction's Matrix skills caused proactive interference with a number of corporate-mandated Spider Knowsofts that prompted more thorough checking. While her psychogical condition proved too imbalanced to allow for creation of superior Knowsofts (precluding employment as a Knowsoft donor), it was determined that she was sufficiently talented and consistent in her behavior to be employed as a security Spider. This decision was then influenced largely by the then less stringent vetting process used in the wake of the second Matrix Crash and the recent implementation of the Wireless Matrix. The recent acquisition of Fuchi Asia assets had left reliable Renraku Matrix security assets stretched thin, and Traction was but one of many inadvisably sponsored 'gambles' at the time.
After a four month evaluation period Traction was tapped to act as an on-call Spider for a large portion of Renraku-Owned Seattle. Shortly afterwards, a number of mid-ranking Yakuza enforcers operating in the Seattle Metroplex met untimely demises involving automated city utilities. Her parents, who had died in the Arcology Catastrophe of 2059, had all remaining traces of their existence that had survived the second Matrix Crash expunged from Renraku archives.
>Damn right they did._
Traction also continued to operate within the Seattle Shadow Market, although they never compromised Renraku security while doing so. She still managed to generate considerable heat with Lone Star, the Mafia, and the Yakuza regardless, especially when she proved an insurmountable security hazard for Shadowrunners targetting Renraku assets (Traction is on-record as having killed or permanently incapacitated twelve suspected Shadowrunners using biofeedback and cyberware exploitation and of assisting in the apprehension of four addition suspected Shadowrunners through tracing). Traction was officially dismissed from Renraku Corporation and was given a generous severance package including enclosed Shadow market information, which marked the start of Traction's career as a Shadowrunner. Over the course of the last six years, she has proved exceedingly useful as a subcontractor in assistance to the Red Samurai as evidenced by the extensive bioware augmentations the corporation procured for her benefit.
[DATA EXPUNGED].
To date, Traction owes Renraku Computer Systems an estimated 410,250¥. It is recommended she be dropped as an asset and terminated in a pre-arranged incident. The Overhead will be regained twice over merely by repossessing her integral cyberdeck intact. While she has been extremely useful, her utility will reach its end once the new Matrix Grid Protocols are issued and GOD/demiGOd begin operating.
>Nice try. Next time you plan to geek a Decker, make sure you don't mention it on a wireless archive. Thanks for the heads up with the new Matrix Protocols, I went ahead and snagged a few copies - GOD is novahot, but I give it six, eight years tops before everybody thinks of the same exploit I did._

Traction's family life was always particularly tense, rife with emotional abuse and neglect. Both of her parents rejected her due to events preceding their move to SCIRE. Traction therefore has some commitment issues and trouble forming stable relationships of any kind. She did not have any noteworthy friends at the time of her employment, and she has kept all of her relationships strictly professional as far as can be discerned. The continuous deaths of every mentor and parent figure in her late teenage years coupled with her family life would indicate difficulty in forming stable relationships and building trust.
In a related area, Traction has a fascination with physical documentation and agreements, something which she constantly requested from Renraku while in our employ. An unusual habit in a digital age; the need for physical agreements that cannot be altered after drafting would indicate a deeply ingrained amount of suspicion and general paranoia.
Although only touched upon in her history, Traction spent the better part of her adolescence living in a Humanis Policlub commonhouse for lack of anyplace better to stay. Her continued work with the Red Samurai has raised the possibility that Traction may harbor concealed sympathies pertaining to Human Supremacy. Testing and observations of her interactions and behavior with non-Human metatypes has failed to reveal any overt racist tendencies, although she appears to possess some innate resentment and jealousy pertaining to the extended longevity of elves. Her exposure to both Dwarves and Trolls is limited due to their relatively small Seattle population, and so there remains the possibility that she may possess heretothough unknown Supremacist and/or racist sympathies.
Due to her extensive work as [DATA EXPUNGED], Decker, and Spider in further consideration to her access of UV-grade Simsense technology, it is no surprise that Traction possesses a BTL Habit. Due to her meticulous discretion, the nature of the Simense programs she regularly utilizes are unknown. She appears to possess an appropriate level of awareness regarding the habit, and only engages in Simsense submersion when off the clock or when waiting for code to compile. Testing had indicated she possesses a firm grounding in objective reality; the primary concern of her addiction is that it may affect her cognitive augmentations due to imbalanced neurochemistry.
Traction appears to be highly self-conscious and awkward in regards to her own actions. She suffers from high levels of anxiety when shopping in public or when making use of public utilities. Whenever possible, Traction prefers to utilize the Matrix for personal transactions.
An extended tenure in [DATA EXPUNGED] a utilitarian outlook of most social behaviors and [DATA EXPUNGED] assumes the worst from the outset.
Traction has historically never performed well in the long term when operating as part of a Shadowrunner team. While she is an exceptional Decker, she appears to possess little value for the lives of her teammates, viewing them as disposable pawns. Traction is directly responsible for selling out at least two Shadowrunner outfits she was a member of in the past. A comprehensive analysis of her actions reveals that she always presumes the worst possible outcome of any operation and plans contingencies for all eventualities, behaving as though the death of her partners was an inevitability. While her thorough preparation in this regard has served many other Runners well due to her ability to cover for their shortcomings, it has also unnecessarily compromised several Runners of note due to Traction acting in her own personal best interest. Specifically, captured and debriefed Runners conveyed that they had been expecting Traction to plan for any possibility of failure on their part, only to discover that Traction had instead deliberately planned for them to fail in order to reduce her own personal risk.

For a Decker, Traction is really low-profile with devices. When you picture a Decker you think of some vatjob so chipped up they have wires spilling from their slot, but she doesn't tote around a Deck or much of anything else aside from her SMGs and ammo. She has this impressive parlor trick where she walks into a room, does a sweeping gesture with one arm and just shuts off everybody's AR (tells everyone it's to avoid 'distractions'). At first I thought she might been one of those wizard hackers, but it turns out she just has low-profile invasive cyberware.
Ingram Smartguns: Carries two of these little beauties on both hips just under her coat. She isn't shy about slinging full-auto lead at any pawn or star that janders too close, and she carries lots of backup mags. She has her own ocular smartlink on top of what the guns have and I've seen her being chummy with the Rigger and their smartlinked minidrones, so I doubt she ever misses on account of her meat.
Knowsofts (Various): Carries around a couple dozen little datasticks. One time we ran with a file filled with drek in some language from wherever. She slotted one of the sticks and started reading it all back like she was fluent, no hemming or hawing or whatnot.

Yegor: He has a modest rap sheet of sundry crimes, mostly in the form of public disturbances and assault. Has more weapons in his stash than most would even be able to use unless they happened to have a mouth as big as his. Speaking as a person who lived in a Humanis bunkhouse for the better part of nine years, I have never heard anybody use as many slurs as frequently or casually as he does. Liable to get us all in trouble someday, and he has no heavy weapons or explosives apart from a grenades, which is infuriating. It's just as well that he has a cybereye. Easier to babysit him that way. I suppose if nothing else he makes a decent bullet catcher.
*Traction thinks of Yegor as a burden rather than an asset due to his temperament and relative lack of utility compared to the other members of the team.
Caewil McNamara: Little to no presence in the Matrix. Seems reserved, looks like she knows what she's doing and why she's here. Shaman magic is helpful and the absence of any major psychosis or baggage means she's probably going to have more longevity than the others. Good to know there's at least one other professional on the team. Those airs she puts on get tiring real quick though, and she smells funny.
*Caewil appears to have impressed Traction despite the pheromones being filtered out by Traction's augs.
Damien: This is somebody I should be taking notes from. Not too much of a presence in the Matrix, just glimpses here and there where he's had work done and in some corp reports. Just enough evidence to show he's been running and gunning for decades now. He may be a little long in the tooth, but obviously he's doing something right. Working with the sensor suites in those Lockheeds is a pure treat, and that rotor-drone is going to come in all sorts of handy.
*Traction looks up to Damien due to his combat experience and his utility as a Rigger.
Recluse: Worthless for anything other than stakeouts and, once in a blue moon, blowing things up. The best I can say about him is that at least he's quiet and doesn't get in the way. Annoying whenever we have to schedule around his sleep cycle. I've taken Long Haul a few times way back, and I cannot imagine being strung out on it all the time.
*Traction has little patience for Recluse's limited utility beyond being able to shoot straight and blow things up, and is especially irritated that his addiction directly interferes with run planning.
Kali: No information in the Matrix, no augs. Addicted to Kamikazi. Has four arms and fights like a grounded Gunship. Useful but problematic. Small miracle that she's also addicted to snuffchips, should help prevent her from creating tension with the rest of the team if their auto-delete features can be bypassed.
*Traction is extremely wary of Kali's unstable temperament.
