Day: Saturday February 23rd, 2047.
Time: 7:53pm. Past Sunset.
Weather: Cloudy with a slight sprinkle.

Anna looked up from her watch and out a dirty window onto a mostly abandoned street; few lights scattered down the road leaving it mostly dark. She sat in a simple metal chair facing the window, one leg crossed over the other. She wore a simple white dress shirt with it tucked into black slacks; her short red hair messily framing her face. From the desk to her left she found the file of their new recruit. Pulling it to her lap she flipped it open, quickly scanning it through and taking the information in full. She closed the folder and stood up from her chair. Checking her watch once more - 8:01pm. The new recruit, Alex, would be here soon.

She turned on her heels and headed out the dingy office and into the large warehouse; the loud sounds of machinery echoing through the metal building. She then made her way down to the main office where she took a seat in the lounge, grabbing a magazine and flipping it open to a random page. Her eyes idly glanced through the pages as she waited.

'I hope this is worth it,' she thought to herself as she walked down the street towards the warehouse. It didn't look like much, to be honest, and sat at the end of the street like some abandoned project that turned into a barely running business. She supposed that was how it was meant to look, perfectly blending in and yet looking sad enough that no one would even think twice about breaking in. Had it been three years ago, she would have never thought of doing this and in fact she hid behind her grandparent's influence and bribes to keep her as normal as possible, but she had since then embraced this strange new world of crime-fighting and hidden agendas.

She didn't dress normally, which was far more feminine, but instead decided to slip on a pair of tight jeans, a dark blue t-shirt, and a black hoodie - more than enough for the light sprinkle coating the night air. She had been approached knowing her vigilante cover, but they never really said whether she should keep up the act during her first introduction or not, so she figured most of them already knew and decided not to draw extra attention with her costume. Her small gamble paid off seeing as the two almost undercover guards let her pass without so much as a word.

The door creaked open and nearly slammed shut after she passed through, leading to the sight of almost pitch black warehouse while the main office was lit up brightly - almost with a welcoming tone to it's presence. She quietly slipped into the lounge where only one other person was sitting, browsing through a magazine, one of many spread across the iconic end table. Alex wasn't exactly the most forward type, despite her head long dive into fighting the underworld, and finding the other woman cute was even more of an encouragement to silently take a seat on the opposite couch - content to simply waiting.

Anna peeked up from her magazine for only a moment as the girl finally arrived, taking in her appearance before looking back at her magazine. She remained silently, slowly flipping through the pages for a couple minutes; simply watching the girl and seeing what she would do. As the minutes passed a small smile touched the girls soft pale lips. She closed the magazine and lightly set it back down on the end table, unfolding her legs and standing up.

"You're patient, I like that." She smiled, her words soft and sweetly toned. "My name is Anna Krause, but you can simply call me Anna. It's very nice to meet you, Miss Moore. Please follow me." With that she turned on her heels and lead the way out of the lounge and into the main warehouse. Each step of Anna's nearly glided over the ground, her body faintly swaying with each elegant step. Anna nearly lead the girl to the back of the warehouse before talking a turn between two large shelves and down a narrow walkway. At the end of the walkway was a simple gray wall. But pressing her hand to a spot on the right side suddenly a doorway sized patch of the wall sunk in an inch before sliding off to one side; displaying a pristine white room just big enough for a handful of people. Leading the way inside she turned around and leaned against the far wall. "Come on now." She beckoned her in, an alluringly sweet smile on her lips.

Once inside the wall would slide back in place and seal and suddenly the sound of smoothly whirring gears echoed in the small around, it was an elevator.

"So, Miss Moore, I have already introduced myself but I haven't quite told you who I am. At least to you. I will be your guide within the Organization, if there is anything you want to know feel free to come to me. But more importantly I will be your partner. We will be sharing our living quarters, we will train together, we will go on missions together. We will be at each others side from now until the end of either of our times with the Organization. Now, do you have any questions for me?"

Slightly surprised that the other woman was actually her escort, she smiled slightly at the compliment. She did find it interesting that this pretty woman - Anna - was able to pick up on one of her traits so quickly, but then again how hard was it really when she was a very patient person. She had become exceedingly more patient ever since embracing her powers though, she had to admit. Her young years she was content to hide away and pretend she wasn't different, but choosing the new life style of crime-fighting forced her to recognize the scope of it all - her regeneration let her sleep less, eat less, and at times she wondered if it would even let her live longer - perhaps even be immortal?

Shaking the thoughts away, she quietly followed the woman as requested without so much as a word - at least not yet. Walking down towards the hidden elevator, she smirked slightly and briefly to herself as the wall sank in, just amused and interested by how covert it all seemed. She had long envisioned of getting something so hidden. Despite her extreme awareness of how serious her vigilante life was and what it meant, the presence of her mutation and love for comic books made it hard to wave away fantastical ideas such as hidden lays and advanced electronics.

It was when Anna leaned against the elevator wall that Alex felt her entire attitude sour a bit. She was beautiful and acutely alluring in how she moved, smiled, and spoke though it wasn't so obvious to call her out on trying to seduce her as if it was some trap or bribe. That almost made it worse, because it made it seem more genuine and Alex didn't care if it was fake or not, she immediately felt defensive. How many times had she come across women that seemed friendly and sweet, only to turn her down? The only real time she felt loved and actually wanted was with Jasmine, but just like everything else in her life, she was left alone.

Alex quickly calmed herself and silently stepped inside, leaning against the opposite wall and waited for some sort of movement. Feeling the slight bump to indicate that it was now on it's way, she looked over at Anna as she made her short introduction. The first thought that came to her mind after it's conclusion was, 'you've got to be fucking kidding me...' Did the organization know anything about her? What were they trying to do with her emotions, putting her in the same living quarters to this sweet, beautifully dressed woman - they were nuts. Alex supposed she'd just have to keep herself distant or risk getting her heart broken for the thousandth time.

Pursing her lips for a few seconds, she took in a deep, slow breath and tried to decide whether she even felt like talking right now. After a few moments, "Um..." Again, there was another pause as she shifted her back against the elevator. "I guess not.. not right now anyways.." She didn't want to be totally rude though or make Anna feel like she had did anything wrong - after all, all of Alex's feelings weren't her fault. So she gave her a small shy smile and left it at that, glancing away to avoid too much eye contact.

As the girl mentioned she didn't have any questions for Anna she raised a curious brow, but let it go. Certainly once she began taking the tour of the facility she would have some questions. Anna assumed, it was a rather large and somewhat confusing establishment. It only took a minute before the elevator came to a stop at the end, double door sliding open with a faint whir. Lightly Anna shoved herself off the back wall and began to lead the way out and down a rather simplistic hall way; walls flat and white, not adornments or fancy embellishments.

Through the halls there were many doors closed with special lock pads, Anna making no reference to any as they went. A few turns and she went into a large opening that lead to a huge room filled with exercise equipment and a big open mat for sparring. "Here we have the training room. We will be spending most of our time here when not on missions or sleeping."

Turning on her heel she left the room and back down the hall with her slow swaying walk. Several closed doors and a few turns and they came upon another room; this time filled with tables and chairs, on the outer walls were filled with a large array of food. "Here is the cafeteria. It is open twenty-four hours a day and there is no cost for anything so have your fill." She smiled. "Now, onto our living quarters."

With an assuring nod she left the room and down the hall once again. It was a short walk before they happened on a wooden door. Grasping the metal handle and giving it a twist she pushed it open to an extravagant room. It was nearly the size of a small home, a flat with a bed on both sides of the room. There was a desk, dresser and mini fridge on each side.

"This is where we will be living. My side is on the right, yours on the left. The closet is that door there in the back." Anna said as she walked over to her bed and took a seat at the edge. "We already have people getting your things. They should be back shortly. So, any questions now?"

'Definitely a government facility,' she thought to herself, taking the time to look at all special locks on the rows of doors. They weaved back and forth a little, but Alex didn't find it too jarring as she was shown the separate rooms. She had always had a good visual memory, so keeping the general direction and distance of only three of them wouldn't be too hard - unless they ran this operation like some sort of military boot camp, then she might have some issues adjusting. Still, she wasn't entirely sure what to feel about the idea of always training in spite of the fact that she was dedicated and passionate about actually doing some good in the world. On her own though, she always made sure to make room for at least an hour of entertainment so she didn't go crazy with always 'working.'

She had to admit though, free food at all times? She couldn't help but smile a little at that part. Not to say she was a pig or that she really needed to eat a whole lot, but on top of being a night owl and not needing as much sleep, knowing she could get a snack at three in the morning was a large comfort to her - after all, even McDonald's closed at that time in the morning. She was a bit curious what types of food they served though and prayed it wasn't poorly cooked food at the odd hours.

Then came the room, to which her eyes grew slightly wide at how big it actually was. When she imagined sharing living quarters before she thought more of a dorm room, like having and forcing to be closer. This made her a bit more comfortable and she was especially pleased at having her own desk to set her laptop on. The mini-fridge was also a god-send that she couldn't thank the organization enough for. Alex guessed sometimes she was most impressed by the little comforts in life.

Though Alex's attention easily focused on Anna when she said if she had any questions. She picked up on the fact that Anna was almost expecting Alex to ask at least something about the base or about what they'd do or really anything, which made her smile slightly. For some reason, it put her in a slightly feisty mood and tempted her to be stubborn about not asking anything at all. Though in all honestly the woman didn't really have much to ask... she figured most if not all of her questions would be answered within the next day or two.

Then she was a bit torn between impressing Anna with her confidence or going a more friendly route by actually talking - then more thoughts and emotions of staying distant took over and she finally decided to talk. "Not at the moment... I am a little surprised they already grabbed my things... it'll be nice to make this place home, I guess.. seeing as we'll be here a while.." Alex figured that was the best way going about it, keeping some distance but not so much as to make everything awkward. They were going to be partners for a while yet she figured, so might as well be friendly at least. She went over to the mini-fridge and causally opened it up and closed it, then examined her new bed, sliding onto it to test how soft it was before finally glancing over to Anna with a small smile.

She lightly laughed to herself as Alex yet again didn't have any questions to ask. It was rather odd. A girl taken into a secret organization and not a single question to ask. She might have been thinking that Anna was asking if she had questions about the Organization. But in truth is was more open then that. It was an open invitation to better get to know Anna, ask her about herself as she felt it not fair to know so much about Alex and for the girl to know so little about Anna. So, she stood from her bed. Walking across the room with her confident, swaying walk over to the bed that Alex laid upon.

Anna then took a seat on the edge of the bed at Alex's hip and turned a bit to look up Alex as she lay there. She smiled sweetly, soft pink lips and pale skin frame by red hair. Anna was abstractly aware of her attractiveness, having heard that it was a weapon of hers to use but never understanding the true concept of her own beauty. More importantly she did not know Alex's sexual preference as it was left out of the report, her superiors thinking it non-essential information; seeing as they believed Anna held no sexual preference. In truth she was so desperate for love she would accept it from anyone, though in truth when she thought about it her mind often drifted to other girls.

"Not even questions about me? I feel bad for knowing so much about you and you having no idea about me. If you want to know something about me I have no issue answering. We are going to be partners for either the rest of our lives or when you decide to leave. Might as well begin building trust by getting to know each other." She smiled softly.

It didn't matter how confident Alex had become, how comfortable she had become with actual fighting, or how invincible she could feel with her powers... at the heart of her being, she was still this submissive, bashful, not forward woman and it always shined the most in situations like this. This moment had quickly spun and turned into a causal and yet somewhat personal encounter and the way Anna just causally strode over and sat down made it even more obvious for Alex. The familiar pit in her stomach churned as Anna looked at her and smiled, one that she hadn't felt for some time.

"Um.." was all she could manage at first. She sat up herself and slid more onto the bed, gaining some distance from Anna, even if it was only an inch or two. This wasn't an act of fear or pushing away, but rather a shy nervousness that wasn't that hard to see painted across Alex's face. Her apparent partner reminded her a little of Jasmine - perhaps more than she wanted to admit - the sweetness, the confidence, the forwardness, though Jasmine had been perhaps a bit rougher around the edges being a detective. Alex hadn't ever slowed down enough to let herself feel again, but now that she was here, she was being forced to and she wasn't entirely sure what to make of it. Maybe she was just being stubborn about the fact that she liked Anna being so forward.

"I, uh, didn't think of that.." She smiled shyly and chuckled a little. Biting her lower lip for a moment, she forced herself to relax a little. "Guess you know why they pulled me here, huh? I found Jasmine's killer after a few months, but still can't nail the guy... stupid lawyers using loop holes..." She paused, not meaning to go down that particular path just yet. "So.. um, why are you here? Just a friendly face offering services to helping the world?" Alex got the feeling it was probably more complicated than that, but couldn't think of a polite way of pushing it further than that. She crossed her legs, gently laying her hands in her lap, and looked at Anna patiently unsure if she'd even get an answer.

Anna laughed softly as Alex admitted that she hadn't even thought to ask Anna personal questions, smiling happily as she felt rather smart in this moment. Seeing as Alex sat up and scooted away she assumed it was meant as a means of giving Anna more room. So she simply scooted herself a bit more onto the bed and closer to Alex, thinking nothing of it in truth. Then the mention of the reason Anna was in the organization, her smile faded but only for a moment before she forced it back; her acting skills coming through as it seemed as if she were still just as happy.

"Well, you see.. I never really had a choice. I was, I guess you could say, born here. I grew up under the watch of the Organization, trained to be an agent since I could remember." She took a quiet breath, regaining her sincere smile. She didn't like thinking much about the fact that she was born to be a killer. Though she believed it was for the greater good it still didn't sit well with her at times. "So!" She beamed innocently. "What other questions do you have for me?"
