Gavin response was to vanish into the shadows, followed by a few moments of silence before the door swung open quietly. Gavin waved Wayen over. "Stealthy. Also, I've always been used to it. Follow me." Gavin headed twords the gunshots at a steady pace. Reaching into a nearby shadow he pulled out a pistol. "I've yet to figure out how to store much, but I've managed to keep a pistol in there. Comes in handy when your in a dandy."

Ryan had been wandering for a few weeks now and he was on his way to New York. He had heard that there were people like him and if he wanted to learn more he should head there. It was a constant struggle to get food and water, but his worst problem was one he couldn't solve.
"God damn it! It's so fucking cold!" He pulled his sweater and jacket around him tightly and kicked a nearby trash can in frustration. It fell over and a slight indent was made in it. It had already begun to frost over just from the miniscule amount of contact he made with it. He looked at himself and noticed he was making footprints of snow again. He growled and continued walking. He had asked a few locals which way New York was, but he was still lost.
"I fucking hate life." He muttered to himself as he continued walking. He heard some gunshots and considered running away. He instead made a decision he would regret for the rest of his life. He ran towards the gunshots. What he saw, words could not describe. The closest thing he could call it was a slaughter. One of the people with guns saw him and began shooting. 'I don't want to die.' He covered his face with his arms and waited for the end. But it didn't come. He opened his eyes and saw that ice had covered the shooters and the bullets were actually frozen. He picked one of them up and shattered it. "I guess this has it uses after all. And I'm not so cold anymore either. Huh." He looked up and frowned. "Damn my sense of morality." He then rushed into the building to go save lives.

Gwen was reasonably surprised by the sudden turn of events. "It's like one crazy, horrible thing after another," she though to herself sarcastically despite the fact that somewhere deep down inside she was scared. She watched everything happen, not really sure what to do. Serena was able to heal with her plants, similar to what Gwen herself could do with light. That would be useful, and at least she could do something since she absolutely would not even hurt a fly.

Then a girl ran up to them and claimed to be an elemental as well. She told them to take advantage of the situation and run away. While Gwen wished she could have been more helpful in this situation and was not one to trust a person easily, she had no choice but to agree with the stranger. She spotted Serena who was just looking around after healing the soldier. She grabbed her arm and pulled her forward away from the chaotic mess, then she motioned the rest of the group to come along. She hung around a bit in the back, waiting for them to go first before getting the heck out of that place.

Wayne was going to make a comment about if Gavin rhymed often or not but there wasn't any time for that. He saw a group of mostly young people huddled together and shuffling towards a way out. Wayne saw the chaos and decided going in to the fray wasn't the best idea, and they weren't looking in his direction. So he sent a small tornado to the person leading the group, nothing too strong, just enough to turn them towards himself and Gavin. He waved them down and made a small swirl of wind around himself, as if to say hey, we're elementals too, get over here.

He hoped it worked on got their attention, otherwise he may have to go in there and try to save them, which may not turn out well. As he waited for the group to hopefully come to them, he turned to Gavin and asked, "so, can you shadow-port us all out of here? Do we all just have to hold hands or something?"

Ryan searched all over for people to rescue but all he found were dead bodies. It seemed like everyone had been killed. Nobody escaped. Ryan grimaced as a fire began to rage around him. He rushed out fo the building when he saw some survivors. They had made a sort of swirl of wind around themselves and it seemed as if they had a plan.
"Hey! You guys ditching this slaughter too?" He asked as he rushed towards them but stopped short. He didn't want to get to close in case they were enemies.

Serena continued watching the slaughter when Gwen snapped her out of it, pulling her back closer to the group. Everyone was agreeing that they needed to escape before they all met the same fate as the soldiers. Serena didn't want to fight anyone but she couldn't stand and watch any more soldiers die. Things were getting way out of hand. Who were these people? How could anyone do such a terrible thing? The whole thing was too much for Serena. An hour ago she had been an innocent farm girl, the closest thing to death she'd ever experienced was her pet goldfish dying. She'd spent an entire week locked in her room after that. Now, she didn't even know how to react. Serena's whole body was shaking and she had to lean on Gwen for support.

"How..." She whispered. "How can we leave these people to die? There has to be a way we can save them without violence or running away." Despite the terrible event, Serena still felt fighting wasn't the answer. If heroes used violence to destroy villains, how could they ever expect things to get better?

The sudden attack was quick as it filled the air with a thick, heavy scent of fresh blood and pained screams of agony as the Renegades were taken by the sudden surprise.

Eric had to restrain himself from jumping into the fray and stop the ruthless slaughter of the Renegades. He wanted to save them, but it seemed their attackers had moved with such skill, Eric wouldn't even last the first few minutes, even with his powers, against any of them in a one on one with the only knowledge fighting in a street style way. He clenched his fist in spiteful anger.

He saw that the rest of the group began to move away from the scene as they wanted to put much distance between them and the attackers, but Eric hesitated for a moment still not wanting to leave the remaining soldiers to there undeserving fate.

We'll get'em back, I promise you that Eric thought with a scornful look as he himself made his way back with the rest of the group, but he never toke his eyes away from the shattering scene.

Riku noticed an interesting bunch of individuals who were trying to slip away from the scene. "Anna!" He yelled. The girl with the blue and red eyes shifted into the black matter as she circled the group of Elementals together, corralling them into a circle. She finally stopped in front of them as Zeke and Riku came to her side with the others securing the rear of the group. Some Renegades came to help but they were all ultimately too busy stopping a new onslaught of Vygorns at the front gates. "Just you and us." Takashi said, with a dry, creepy tone.

However, the Boss, who wielded two pistols, Gary with a katana, and Max who wore his classic Stetson hat and brandished a revolver from his holster, joined the huddle of Elementals. "We're going to have to fight now." The boss said, as he stared down Simon. Gary looked at Serena, "I've got your back, but you've got to help us on this one." He pleaded as he gripped the handle of his sword.

The Anti-Hygrons had the group of surrounded, but even with the experience of the Renegades that have come to their aid, can the Elementals stand their ground?

(everyone pick an anti-hygron in the OOC to fight, any left and Gary, Max, and the Boss will take on the others)

Now surrounded by powerful enemies, Amaya had no choice but to fight. Unfortunately using her power required emotion, with was something Amaya wasn't completely comfortable with. Amaya bit her lower lip, a nervous habit of hers. It reminded her of her piercing.

Amaya decided she'd need to use her wits if she were going to get out alive. So, she touched the side of her leg with her middle finger. Frost crept down, before spreading underneath the feet of her enemies. Amaya's leg may now be numb, and her allies may get caught in her trap, but it was worth the sacrifice. Then she made a chunk of ice in her hand. Time to get things started. Amaya picked out the, most unintelligent Vygorn and hurled the chunk of ice at him. Not missing a beat she then launched herself at her opponent. He had been hit square in the chest with the flying projectile throwing him off his balance. With a swift elbow to the diaphragm, Amaya had successfully managed to make him fall. She straddled her victim trying to immobilize him.

"For someone with such a power you're not very quick on your feet are you?" Amaya commented. She had been analysing them from the beginning. Another bad habit of hers.

Ryan was faced with a tall raven haired man with a gun. This was a highly unusual situation for him and he would rather not be shot. He looked at the ice that had spread across the battle field and thanked god he had gotten used to icy floors. Sometimes this whole ice thing isn't so bad.

"I don't suppose you'd be willing to let me go? I haven't done anything wrong and I really just got here." Ice was spreading near him the more he talked and he was kinda hoping he could use that to his advantage. He looked at the other girl with ice and decided to try and imitate her.

"I'm really sorry about this!" He formed a semi sharp spear of ice and hurled it directly at the raven haired man and began moving as soon as it left his hands. He skated around the battlefield like a professional skater, because he had to become a professional skater these past few months. Otherwise he would become intimate friends with the floor.

Gavin immediately melted into the shadows, vanishing without a word as he slowly scouted his targets. Looking at his possible opponents he wasn't quite sure who to go after. The girl that could shift into some odd matter wouldn't be the best target, she could easily dodge his attacks. The larger guy with a single sword could no doubt hold his own, and the dual katana wielder would be a tad to dangerous. He needed a easier target, one that he could at least disable. One of the guys stood out to Gavin in this regard. He stayed more to the back of the group and seemed to wear a surgical mask for some reason, but he wasn't built or carrying a visible weapon. Quite possibly a ranged fighter. 'Going against this one may yield the best results' Gavin thought to himself as he moved behind him. He watched as the others mounted their attack as he readied his own strike. Everything seemed just a tad bit slower as always when he was within the shadows, but as soon as the first attacks hit he made his move. As quickly as he could he emerged from the shadows behind the masked guy and condensed some shadows around his hand, making a blade of sorts, and thrust as hard as he could at the guys right shoulder.

"Of course this wasn't going to be easy, what is this, a book?" At this point Wayne was talking to himself as Gavin and the other boy who had approached him were now engaged with their own opponents. Wayne jumped in to the fray, singling out the first person that he saw not fighting already. A blond boy probably not much older than himself, with a very intimidating looking sword. Wayne knocked him back so they could have a proper one on one fight if it came to that, but he hoped maybe talking would work. "Look, I don't know who you are, but maybe we can come to a resolution without fighting." Wayne doubted it would work, so he held his staff up in preparation of an attack, watching how he moved.
