@Evanist Well, let's be honest, everybody and their mother probably wants to look cool and has a rapier. Nobility aren't uncommon, and he's not exactly in a lower-class group. And even if he's recognized as nobility, that puts him in a class of what - ten or twenty thousand within Moere alone? Nevermind across Europe and in his own homeland. The chances of anyone recognizing him are literally zero. xD

On the subject of nobility and all that, I'd like to point out that not just rapiers, but swords in general were a status symbol, both in the medieval era and countless others. The rapier really just came about because things had cooled down to the point that you could wear a sword more casually, and was less the Ultimate Noble King Dude Sword to Rule Them All and more of a civilian sword/glorified fashion accessory.

This is quite true! I wouldn't expect a real fighter to ever have a rapier, in any case - but having one certainly implies that A: you've got at least some disposable income and B: you're a civilian.

That said, status symbol or no, in many parts of the world you COULD get a decent sword without too much of a stretch. It's just that once you get the sword you also have to get the training to use it and that can take time and money if you're not a soldier...

Really it's a fantasy realm with an approximately medieval atmosphere - I'm sure you've played the type before! Pokemon don't change all THAT much. If you have any questions, I'll be glad to answer~

Feel free to use the real world as a frame of reference. That's one of the nice things about using an alternate-earth.

Also, Kalos/France is to the west. The area around Geosenge is a wasteland, but it's a small region in an otherwise very large part of the world~

Oh well. Maybe he's got a shop in the city too. :P

The fact I've played Y and forgotten about this just shows how limited my knowledge of Pokemon in general is.

Tonight I've got class after work and I've got to do enough homework so that I don't need to do anything the next few days.

On Wednesday I'll have work really early and then I'll be heading home to punta gorda and I'll probably have a few hours of homework to do and then I'll be completely honest with you, I'll probably spend the rest of wednesday night stoned. Then I'll be flying to Pittsburgh on Thursday and God only knows what my schedule will look like until I get home to Florida Sunday evening~

Managed to get out a very small post to set up the apothecary's shop but I dunno if I can make any more posts the next few days xP. We'll see depending on if I have the time.
