Adelisa looked up at him with wide eyes. Then she saw the pen in his hand and realized he only ask because he was going to write her name on her cup. She said, smiling "my name is Adelisa." She blushed and said "but if it's too long, just put Dela or Addie." She smiled sheepishly at the thought of her name not fitting on the cup. It was quite possible, with how long the name was.

"Getting some time for yourself? Yeah, I can't blame you. I'd probably go crazy if I stuck around my house too much, personally. That's why I'm not back there right now, actually." He probably would have to go back soon, of course. He had a set that night and he needed to get an assignment out of the way before he could prepare for that, but the day was still fairly young. Besides, he really didn't want to just leave now. "Well...there are a couple of places. The downtown mall is said to be popular with the younger crowd, of course..." He gave a slight smirk as he gazed over At the nearby skateboard. "...but that's a ways away and the stores are always overpriced. Besides, that's boring. One thing I like about this place is that if you wanna have fun, especially on a reasonable budget, you gotta be willing to take the back doors and check the side routes."

Jumping off the wall, he kicked up the board and stowed it under his arm, grabbing his bag and hoisting it over his shoulder. "There's a cute cafe not too far away if you wanna start there. I'm thinking that it's time to refresh a bit after losing that much blood, anyway."

Jazzy blushed when he asked if she wanted to come with him. "Sure I have some money for a cup of coffee." She said as she moved her purse on her shoulder as she saw him catch his skateboard spot on. What was it about this guy that she was so attracted to. He was handsome...but there was something else.

Liam Hamilton

Liam nodded in response and managed to squeeze in her entire name, Adelisa, all seven letters in tiny handwriting. He then took care of the next customer in line, a bit disappointed at how quick their conversation has went.

One of his coworkers, saw the cute, awkward exchange between the two and stepped up to deal with the rest of the customers in the cash register line. Giving him a wink, she teased, "Go make her iced coffee and put your phone number on the cup quick. Just be sure to include me in the story when you tell it to your grandchildren."

Liam blushed furiously, but did what she said. He quickly made the iced coffee, and wrote his number next to her name, immediately regretting it as he did it. "Oh what have I done? She's going to think I'm a total creep who's hitting on her or something," he worried in his head. He debated whether or not to make a new iced coffee in a new cup that did not have something so embarrassing. Before he could do so, as if his coworker had read his mind, snatched the cup out of his hand and shouted, "Iced coffee for Adelisa?"

Liam sunk under the counter, wanting to curl up and die. He mumbled quietly and headed to the break room. "I'm taking a break."

Fin smirked when he didn't reply. "Nothing to say huh? Just another win for me." Fin said pushing herself off the counter and walking towards the door. She grabbed her leather jacket before walking out the door and out to the street. She would leave her bike there for now so she could walk off the slight buzz from the alcohol. She definitely wasn't close to being drunk but she wasn't stupid enough to drive with any form of alcohol in her system. Especially after losing her real family to a car accident caused by a drunk driver.

Fin pulled a cigarette out of her jacket pocket along with a lighter as she thought about the fact the guy called her a little girl, 'Ha. Yeah this little girl is only a week away from being 18' she thought to herself. Fin then stuck the cigarette in her mouth and lit it, taking a deep inhale before removing the cig and exhaling. She was simply just walking down the street with no cares in the world. Minus the fact that she couldn't get what the idiot guy at the bar said out of her head. The same thing running through her head over and over

'You may act tough but acting like that is really going to bite you in the ass one day.'

Adelisa walked up to the counter when her name was called and quickly grabbed the cup so no one would take it and put a drug in it or anything scary like that. She saw movies! It happened! As Adelisa went to take a seat, she saw a set of numbers on the cup. Her curiosity was peeked as she dialed the numbers into her phone and texted a simple Hello! Who is this?

Landon Reed

"Nothing to say huh? Just another win for me."

"Not going to fall for that bait," he muttered quietly as she left the bar. He hung around, drank a few more drinks, and even chatted with a few of the other guys there. They talked about the girl, apparently she was Finn and she was a wild one, not that it surprised him at all. Just earlier today she was street racing. He didn't say much to them and simply listened as they talked, though he wished they would stop. Eventually, he got tired of listening to them, and paid for all the drinks on his tab.

He made his way out, unsure of what to do next. He still had hours to spare before his usual poker night with a few gambling buddies. He decided to go to somewhere quiet, his favorite spot in the city: the rooftop of an abandoned apartment building. It was a bit of a way to walk, but he had the time and so started to head over there.

Liam Hamilton

Liam was in the break room when he heard his phone's ringtone go off. Without wasting a second, he reached for his phone and checked the notifications. He got a text from an unknown number. It had to be Adelisa! Though he was shocked that she didn't already assume that it was him who wrote his number on her coffee cup. He texted back his reply, "Um...Hi. Not to be awkward or anything, but this is Liam. You know, from the register?"

He took a deep breath as he clicked the send button. "Well, here goes nothing..."

Adelisa sipped her drink when her phone went off. She looked at the text and blushed softly. Oh, hi there. I'm sorry for my awkwardness earlier. I don't get out much, she replied. She looked around to see if he was there, but he was no where to be found. Her eyebrows furrowed and she took another sip of her drink.

"Great! Like I said, it's not too far, so it shouldn't take too long to find." Heading toward the exit of the park, Ali stopped for a moment to make sure Jazzy wasn't being left behind before continuing on his way. "So...not sure what to say about this place. Interesting crowd, I guess...the place itself has a bit of an odd vibe at first, too, but their drinks are pretty worth it in my opinion. Snacks aren't too bad, either." He adjusted the shoulder strap of his bag as he thought about what he would probably get. He had a few ideas in mind, but then there were always the specials to check...

Liam Hamilton

Liam's phone quickly rang again and Liam was astounded by how fast she replied. While reading her text, he began to smile. While he wanted to stay in here and keep texting her, he should probably get back to work.

"Oh, were you acting awkward? I didn't notice at all. Anyways, can I keep texting you later? I have to get back to work before i get scolded or something. Bye! It was nice meeting you. :)"

He slipped his phone back into his work locker and returned back out behind the register. His co-worker gave him a playful nudge and asked, "So? Did you enjoy your little break?"

He blushed and didn't answer her question which she took as a yes. Feeling satisfied with herself, she went back to continue making coffees though she looked over her shoulder and added, "Maybe you should start clearing some of the tables again."

Seeing that Adelisa was still enjoying her iced coffee, Liam didn't have the guts to start talking to her again. What if she thought that he was creepy and stalking her? He decided against it and remained as the cashier.

Jazzy smiled as she followed close to him but not too close. She did not want to seem like she wanted this to be more than hanging out as new friends. She kinda wished it was more than that the more he spoke to her like a normal person. "That sounds great actually." She said smiling at Ali as she walked wondering how far it was.

Adelisa looked down at her phone and saw his response. A smile lit her face and she responded with I'd love too to talk to you more :) Text me whenever! Bye! She looked down at her coffee and blushed softly. Was that too weird? The 'text me whenever', was it weird? She looked up and saw Liam at the cash register. She felt her phone ring and she answered it quickly when it was a call from her mother. "Hello?"

"Adelisa! Where are you?!" Adelisa sighed and said "I'm just across the street drinking some coffee. You said after I was finished washing the windows, I could go." She heard her mother huff and say "do you think I forgot?! You ungrateful girl! Come home now!" Adelisa sighed, saying "yes mother." "DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD I WORK TO FEED YOU?! I ALWAYS SPOIL YOU ADELISA AND THIS IS YOUR PAYMENT?! MAYBE I SHOULD STOP FEEDING YOU! YOU'RE CHUBBY AS IT IS, MIGHT AS WELL MAKE IT BETTERFOR YOU!" Adelisa sighed, but looked down at her coffee and looked back at Liam with a smile.

She got up, gave Liam a small wave goodbye, and quickly made her way back to the shop. As she entered, she was bombarded with workload. She sighed and rolled her eyes.

Liam Hamilton

Liam saw that Adelisa was leaving and waved goodbye back to her. He couldn't help but watch her go and go back to the hair salon where she worked. The rest of the day went on without anything interesting happening or any mishaps. Before he knew it, his shift was over and it was time for him to go home.

He came home to find both his parents still working at the flower shop. Because they seemed busy, he decided to prepare dinner tonight, but first he needed to take a shower. After his warm shower, he went into the kitchen and decided to make beef stew. While he waited for it to boil, he grabbed his phone out and texted Adelisa.

"Hey, I'm done with work. What are you up to?"

He never really texted a girl that wasn't a classmate before and in those instances he usually just texted them what they missed in class or helped them with their homework. He hoped he didn't say anything stupid and continued on with his cooking.

Adelisa fell onto her bed and sighed. After she got back to the shop, her mother filled her day with tedious tasks: fixing old chairs, cleaning out storage, doing the laundry, etc. Where was all the in the job description of being a receptionist? All she should've done was taken calls and schedule appointments. Adelisa heard a small ding and she looked over at her phone. A smile quickly replaced the frown that settled on her lips. She replied with I just got off work. What about you?

It was a quick reply and hopefully, as soon as her mother fell asleep, she would be able to go out tonight. Grabbing the sketchbook next to her bed, Adelisa looked down at her new masterpiece that would soon be on a building wall somewhere. It was a ying yang symbol but instead of just the black and white, the inside of the black was the word Society in a standard print and the white was the word Outcast with the Os filled in as the opposite color as the word. A soft smile lit her face and she quickly hid the book under her blanket in case her mother came in to check on her.

Ali gave a small grin at the response. "Not too much further now. Another block, then we turn there, see?" Continuing in the direction he pointed out, they soon came upon the somewhat busy cafe. Here and there, people sat in groups or alone at tables or waited to order at the counter. Pulling the door open, the boy waited for his new companion to enter first, catching a glimpse at the line as he peeked inside. "I guess it's going to be a minute. Gives us time to get a good look at the menu, though. See what specials they might have and all. Anything in particular you usually go for? I kinda like exploring with the seasonal drinks, personally."

Jazzy blushed softly when he asked what she would want. "Umm..well I don't goo out to restaurants much so Iam uup for suggestions." She said trying to play it off laughing. She hoped he would not notice how nervoushe was aaboutthe price. She mainly hoped she had enough for something.

Liam Hamilton

Liam was chopping up vegetables when he heard his phone go off. "Wow, that girl is really fast," he thought to himself. He wanted to reply but his hands were full at the moment. He decided that it would probably be best of he texted her after he finished cooking. So about 45 minutes and a nice, warm stew later, he grabbed a bowl and poured some for himself. Normally he would wait for his parents, but they seemed to be busy.

He washed his hands and dried them before texting back, "Sorry, I was cooking dinner. So how was work? You work at the hair salon, right?"

He took a bite of his stew. It was not bad at all. Actually, he was pretty proud of it even if it was rather simple.

"Hmm..." The boy took a moment to think of a good suggestion as he looked at the posted menu. The cafe did have a lot of interesting options, but it was always a little tricky recommending flavors to someone he didn't know well. His face soon lit up a bit as a thought hit him. "You don't have any food allergies, do you? Because I think I just got a perfect idea." Noticing the line slowly moving ahead, he stepped forward with them on the way closer to the counter. "Before we try it though, can you do me a favor? Pick two numbers, one between 1 and 10, and the other between 1 and 5. It'll help me figure out the rest."

Jazzy was actually intrigued. She was excited to be trying something new...it was almost another pure rush of energy and excitement ran through her as she followed him close. "No I am not allergic to anything." She said as he asked giggling. "Okay how about 7...and 3." She says thinking about it for a few moments to be sure. She wanted to seem smarter than she actually was and it caused her to blush softly.

"Alright, then. Seven and three..." He looked back up at the menu at her response, trying not to get too caught up in the cute way she looked while she had been mulling over the decision. Honestly, he thought he had better focus than this. He had to keep up the good impression or...oh, the line was moving. He had to hurry and choose from the menu.

Lifting a finger to about the level of his eye, he ran it sideways across his view of the columns on the sign behind the counter, starting back at the first row when he reached the end of the sign. Seven...and... Once he had passed over seven columns and landed on one, he looked down the row for the third option and gave a small nod. Once they reached the counter, he gave a small smile to the barista, reaching into his pocket for his wallet as he placed the order. "Can I have a Pumpkin Cinnamon Latte and a S'mores Shake, please? Oh, Ali for the first and Jazz for the second." He placed the money on the counter quickly as he relayed the names for the cups. Nodding a "thank you" to the person behind the counter as he turned back. "Should we find a table for now? It'll probably be a minute before they're ready."
