@Crimson Raven Bronze and iron. I know other weapons are of that skill level but I don't need killing edges everywhere. As for skills the character will group and learn like real people rather than just having skills. You can mention if they have practice or experience. It's an equal playing field.

Dreadfighter + Shadowgift sounds pretty op. But so is Galeforce. Not sure but I don't think we've really considered in game skills.

Edit: Oh okay nvm, I didn't see that new message whoops.

Oh, one more thing I forgot to ask, do I need to make a specific reason for the character joining up, Or was there some sort of general way to apply? (Such as a 'HEROES WANTED!' poster) X]

Edit: I just need this last bit and my character will be ready.

I believe the Champion of Naga was rallying up people to join the cause. If that wasn't the case, then players joined him for their own reasons.

Ehh, doesn't answer my question, but I will roll with it...

@ApollosarcherExcept I have one more question (sorry, I am an inquisitive person) I noticed a lack of CS in the OOC tab. Do I post my CS here first or go straight to the character tab?

Apollo told us and the new people to place the CS in the CS tab so he/she can see them easier for checking, so go ahead!

I ain't gonna lie, I agree with @Amaterasu here. A Dread Fighter with Shadowgift is ridiculously powerful for someone just starting off.

Not really, he is new to it so all he has is flux which isn't very powerful, and the next is nosferatu is just Sol in a weapon.

Yes, really. There's a very good reason why Shadowgift was hard to aquire. Dark magic is exceptionally powerful for the levels that it requires to wield the tomes that make it up.

Additionally, the lore behind how dark magic works states it to be an art that requires years of practice and focus. Thus suddenly discovering "oh, I can dark magic now no problem " is rather distasteful and ignorant.

Does that make sense?

Yeah, I know the lore. I counted on that, see he needs someone to train him to use it. That was what I was going for any ways. I never said 'oh no problem' I just said he can use it. Maybe I'll change it to 'he has an affinity for dark magic' or some such...

Well if you need a mentor Raven, there's always the resident Dark Mage.

Working on first post. Not all character have to join ASAP but can be introduce or even working together before the meet the group. Also we are going into a prologue combat and I'm sorry if we don't have to really introduce everyone but you'll have time on the road as were going to get moving pretty quickly.

@Crimson Raven Approved.

@TheWindel I wouldn't trust Marianne to teach you. She would be a wonderful teacher!

...eyeball soup...
...finger fries...
...brain burger...
...mashed liver...

That doesn't assuage my fear of the overwhelming power if someone, from level one, being by definition more powerful than anyone else that remains as such up to and throughout the entire game.

However, I'm not the GM. I won't voice anymore concerns about an approved character unless there is a legitimate problem.

The point is not who is more or less powerful. Some just may end up stronger by definition. So? As long as it is not abused, power doesn't really matter. I wont have him charging in to solve others problems like a Mary Sue. Now, GM has accepted, let it rest.

@Crimson Raven Also the fact that Light magic is back and the churches powerful units wield it like the Bishop can now do more damage to you.

Good because Dread Fighters have high resistance.

Edit: Although, he could have a slight dragon weakness...

@Crimson Raven Weapons triangle always trumps stats. Light beat dark, dark beats anima, anima beats light. If your casting dark spells resistance doesn't help your just naturally weaker to that form of magic.
