Never did the neopets forums stuff, but I did start out with old IM rp's and yeah, definitely was a culture shock to switch to forum-style. You end up with longer and well-thought out posts for sure, but dammit the instant reply stuff was always really nice XD

What about you, @Mcmolly, do you have anything you prefer to be called (even if it's just a shortening of your Guild name), or would you rather everybody use your full handle, like in @mentions?

ETA: I work with kids, so I just got in the habit of checking with everyone re: names--I know that the name I'm given when a student signs in is not always the name he or she likes to be called at home. (And believe me, if there's anyone who's going to tell you a nickname and then become mortally offended if you forget, it's a five-year-old.)

Hey all, wish I wasn't late to the intro-fest and such, but c'est la vie. Everyone can call me Dub. I've carried this moniker for years and even RL friends and co-workers all call me that. I started interest in WoW RP years ago, and during one of my breaks from the game I got RP withdrawals, so I looked for potential rp forums and found this (well, the previous version of RPG).

I used to play Neopets all the time, way back when. Though I had not yet figured out my passion for reading and writing yet, so I steered clear. I'm actually in love with IM RPs, but my friend well is running dry for potential candidates as I start a small group rp of my own.

The username is Jinxer/LuckyJinxer or pretty much any variation on that, usually it's me if you see that anywhere! Most people shorten it to Jinx/LJ - like the Phantom of the Opera my real name is somewhat uninspiring so I shall stick behind my avatorial persona.

I've been RPing on forums for a good 11 years now, starting on a Final Fantasy forum with a particularly active RP section. I'm 22, married and graduated last year with a degree in history. I work most week days and some Saturdays depending on how the rota falls but I'm still relatively active since my evenings consist of chilling in the study/in front of the TV with my iPad.

Hi, all! Nice to "meet" you more officially. :) I am really wishing I had picked a username that better lent itself to nicknames; I spent forever trying to choose. All my old handles were outdated and pretty damn embarrassing.

Anyway, to mimic some of the other people who added a bit more about themselves: I'm 24, graduated a year ago with a degree in English, and read/watch a lot of genre fiction that would shame some of my former professors. (Some, but not all: my favorite lit teacher let me write a seven-page paper about Buffy the Vampire Slayer for my final, thus cementing her as my favorite.) Right now, I just work part-time, usually three to four days a week, so I should be able to drop in pretty regularly!

I'm WeepingLiberty, 19 year old Liberal Arts Major in Community College. Feel free to call me Weeping, Liberty, Libby or Jade.... All Powerful GM works for this narcissist too. I'm quite the oddball if you haven't picked up on that yet, but more or less harmless. ^.^ And very fond of my emoticons, I think they're cute. I started roleplaying five years ago on that embarrassingly addictive site known as Rescreatu, very similar to Neopets for those unfamiliar with it. Spent some time on those forums with a friend of mine until they started updates and policy changes we didn't agree with. From there we did our own things over IM and eventually a Webs page I set up for us. I think I mentioned this before but I live on the east coast of the US of A, so that's the timing I generally run with. And my Skype is ravenclawtimelordess (absolute hell for those with Dyslexia isn't it?) if anyone likes random conversations about nothing. XD

Well, that's my introduction. It's a pleasure to personally meet all of you and I can't wait to get this started with you all. I would love to start today but my brain is still a little fried from partying last night. But RP gods be willing, tomorrow it is! Eh there is not much for me to say. I am an engineering student I am relatively new to forum roleplay, but I have played Pathfinder, D&D, Shadowrun and the like on and off for the last few years. I like reading science fiction and fantasy, and I have consumed my fair share of anime and manga, but I really don't seem to get into the popular series that much. It's a bit of a paradox. I didn't like LOTR, though I can appreciate it as a work of literature. I hate most anime and manga tropes with a vengeance, especially anything to do with a high-school aged protagonist, yet I love Naruto. I prefer stories that are kind of close to real life. For example I can list off a few locations from Fallout: New Vegas (Primm, Novac, Freeside, Jacobstown, Nellis Airforce Base) off the top of my head while I cannot do the same for Skyrim. This is partially why I joined this RP, I can more easily connect to a story set Twenty Minutes into the Future better than I can Middle Earth. Anyway, I hope to have a good time with this group when the action starts.
