Manhattan, New York - Abby Taylor's apartment

“Evolved Humans or Evo’s are a threat to the fabric of a stable society. These people have abilities that allow them to do things regular people can’t do. Who knows the full extent of their powers, it’s not just people who can fly and turn invisible out there, there’s individuals who can be anywhere on the planet, even infiltrate your head and peer into your innermost thoughts your telling me people like don’t damage the stability of our society?” Beep

A noise was heard as Max Stross reached for his remote and turned the television off then yawned stretching his arms back. He leaned back against his pillow relaxing himself and reaching for his cup of tea and taking a sip.

“You people really think you’re going to get results watching television hmm, pointless” Max sighed he was in support of the man that was talking. The Evolved Human situation was a crisis in his mind, he could remember the feeling of uncertainty that coursed through his body when he was watching the news “that night”. He’d never forget the moment when that girl Claire Bennet jumped off the Ferris Wheel fell hit the ground and rose. Any other person would have been dead the minute they hit the ground, but she got up as she’d just tanked a hard blow or something.

That was the type of thing he never expected to see outside of a superhero movie, to say it was unsettling would be an under-statement. Shortly after as more about the situation came to light, about evolved humans and a whole species of them being out there. Not just that they where out there, that they could be anybody, anywhere that was crazy. Of course with the fear of this newfound threat, he’d been getting a lot more work for Olympus Inc.

And being the businessman he was, he played up to fears his clients had of these people to raise the the price and of course the quality of his service’s provided. As he was in deep thought about everything his phone began buzzing and he reached for it putting his tea down as he examined the caller ID.

“Aaaah fuck” Max let out a sigh of disappointment this wasn’t a call he wanted to talk right now but it was one that was necessary. He heard a woman calling out to him from the bathroom asking him who it was.

“It’s no one Babe just Blake” Mind your damn business you dumb bitch the way you run your mouth I’d expect your blowjobs to be better then that shit from last night. He rolled his eyes thinking about the chick using his shower as he swiped to the right answering the phone.” Stross here what’s up man?”

“Hey just calling to tell you about another meeting at Us & Them gone through some more files, and going through some recordings, I’ve got together a group I can bring in for a cleansing if you want.”

“Really now that’s some of the best news I’ve heard all day, it actually sounds fun, get it set up, I want to attend, I haven’t had any action in a while, today’s gonna be better then I expected.”

“No problem boss, consider it done.” The line ended and Max grinned as he reached over for a glock on his dresser and examined it with glee before setting it down as he heard the door knob turning and the woman emerged nude and smiling.

“Come on Max the water’s warm why don’t you come join me.”

“Don’t mind if i do” He flashed her a smile as he pushed the covers off and hopped out of the bed, today really was going to be better then he expected.

Brooklyn, New York - A trashy diner respectively.

"Honey, I wouldn't wear contacts if you paid me!"

"So they're naturally that color?"

"Naturally!" enthused the boy with a shake of his head, bleached white hair flopping from side to side.

The regulars were always complementary, especially the females but he kept a breezy air around himself no matter who he happened to be talking with. Working was easy if he flirted and he treated each customer like they were more special than the last. The diner was always teeming with life, people streaming in and out throughout the day but the tips were usually good, even if he had to work himself to death to get them. That's how he made a living most of the time, it was all tip oriented and he had learned how to work himself into quite the charmer to earn them.

It seemed sometimes that he was the most popular waiter and he liked to work that title to the bone, he deserved to be well liked, he'd been so invisible for so long. He had people who immediately asked for his section upon entering and people who slipped him numbers with their tips, he had a lot of good things here, it was a good job. He liked the excitement of meeting new people and he liked the warmth that some greeted him with and he liked the attention most of all. He couldn't act up at work, it was all about smiles and good service but he could work it to his preference. He had to constantly be having fun or it wasn't worth it at all.

The next table was a group table, teenagers like himself, ones from the school he'd dropped out of at sixteen and he feigned a smile. "Can I get your orders?"

"Oh my God, it's seriously him, Emmy said she saw him here but I thought it was a joke."

"It's not a joke. Order?" he tapped his pen to his pad and nodded at them.

"Yeah but-"

"Order?" he snapped sharply and received a few scattered laughs but as they began rattling off their orders, his nerves eased again and he tucked his pen behind his ear.

He was quick to send the order back to the cooks and he sighed, leaning back against the counter and eyeing the door for anyone heading towards his section. It was a lot easier just to wait there and the order would take a few minutes, his pockets were weighty with tips and he was starting to get a mid-shift headache.
Pressing his fingers into his temples, he drew in a deep breath and put back on his game face, nobody could complain about a pouty waiter at least. He liked the job, he really did, but sometimes being tied to it was a pain and it lead unfortunate customers like the group currently pointing at him and laughing amongst themselves.

It was fine but it was aggravating, he was technically an adult, it was such a pain that they weren't acting like they were. Today was going to be a long day if this kept up.

Brooklyn, New York - Streets to Mary's Diner

“Yeah man I’m telling you business is booming cop this shit for the $15 it’s some fucking loud brah.” Jason Koravil was at it again, pushing marijuana. “Fuck with me and I get you on an 8th for $40 right now actually got one pre scaled.” Jason grinned he’d just heard the man’s thoughts about how he was irritated with people charging upwards to $60 for an 8th up here in New York and hurriedly took out his money.

Jason locked hands with the man making the transaction putting the 3.5 in his hand and taking the two $20’s in an other. It was pretty easy to make a profit for marijuana when he could just mind control dealers to give him free weed. The man took a whiff of the product in his hands before laughing and putting it in his pocket.” Man Jason your the fucking best! I swear $40 and you got shit like this fuck.”

“Hell yeah edibles finna be on deck too fam, trust that, and the xans, molly, all that shit if you tryna be turnt this weekend.” Jason said as he parted ways with the man and began walking counting all the money he’d made dealing. With the power to read minds he could easily find clients, tell if they were snitching or not, and what they wanted and how much. It made him the perfect drug dealer really, his powers were really making every aspect of his life better. He just relaxed managing to stash the wad of cash in his pocket, and checking all his pockets to see if he’d finished selling all the drugs on him. All sold out hell yeah and I still got hella shit at the spot to go through.

He was walking back to his spot when he went to go check his phone and just grinned. He’d managed to get one of his beats to A$AP Rocky and made a whopping $30,000 thanks to some mind control, not to mention he’d continue making money off the song. This was going to get J Beats on the map and he considered the quality of the beat really good. He took pride in his music even if he had to use mind control to get ahead in the music game there was a-lot of competition and besides it made sense to use every asset he had at his disposal.

Jason put his phone up and began looking around it was time to celebrate this new money. Lately he’d been thinking of various ways he could use his power not only for his amusement but to increase his finances and spotted it Mary’s Diner. He’d been there once or twice and not only was the food excellent, that blond haired waiter he’d gotten both times was real good, and he’d felt no qualms about leaving him a decent tip both times. Plus he respected people who took their job seriously, and worked hard it was a sign of someone who was just as serious about their money as him.

He made his way in. “Table for one?”

“Yeah that is unless your willing to join me.” Jason responded flirtatiously to the woman who just blushed and lead him to a seat leaving him with a menu. He already knew what he was gonna get. Def in the mood for a good burger some fries and a coke, a classic.

Man Adrien is a fucking looser. Drop out piece of shit, he’s never gonna be shit. Jason overheard that thought and tuned into the thoughts of some people sitting at a table, scanning their thoughts he rolled his eyes.

Ite bet I can have a lil fun..shiit some pre meal entertainment with these haters Jason focused on them pushing a thought into them so that they’d start getting into an argument. He then focused on the girl who’d first spoke to Adrien who’d brought up the fact that Emmy had spotted him here. She got up clearly pissed from the argument he’d caused to break out, and he pushed one more thought into her head and suddenly she projectile vomited across the table onto another person on the table and Jason had to hold back laughter. The best part about telepathy was being able to fuck with people and he sat back waiting for his waiter to come take his order. I love my life

Brooklyn, New York- Kai's apartment

It was early morning, Kai slapped his beeping alarm clock to shut it up. He sat up from his old, coffee-stained bed and shoved the covers off. Closing his eyes hard, he popped from his bedroom to the kitchen, where a pot of coffee was, hot and ready for a mug. Kai smacked his lips and groaned. "Get up, mom!" He shouted to the other room, where his mom slept.

"Gettin' ready, Kai!" she barked. Kai smiled at that sentence. Normally, he had to bang pots and pans, blow a vuvuzuela, and shoot two blanks in the air to get his mother awake and out of bed. He poured the black coffee into cups, stirring creamer in his mother's. Kai had always preferred black coffee. He wanted it to be simple. No hassle, no sugar, no nothing. He took the mugs and sat down at the table, clad in bed shorts and a AC/DC t-shirt.

His mother hobbled out of her room, with her joints occasionally popping and cracking from arthritis during the walk to the table. She pulled out her chair and sat next to her son, picking up her coffee mug in the process. "I hear it's gonna be a cold one today, Kai. Better dress warm." Kai nodded, closed his eyes with clenched fists, and disappeared from his mother's sight, for about a couple minutes. His body popped back into the space he was in before, clothed. He had a stocking cap in his gloved hand, so he put it on his head. He brushed his long, brown hair to the side and smiled.

"Is this good enough for you?" he asked.

His mother gave a warm grin. "Yes, it is. Now give me a hug and we'll be off to work."

Brooklyn, New York - Vomit World The Diner Edition.

He'd watched the man enter and recognized him immediately as one of his better tippers, he recognized most people by how well they tipped him and how nice they proved themselves to be. Every now and then he'd get some asshole with an attitude and they would challenge every polite nerve in his body, those assholes usually left him a few dollars and drove him absolutely batty. He had to make a living and they were making it hard on him. Honestly, he didn't understand it sometimes. Being intentionally rude to waiters was so low-class and yeah, Mary's wasn't known for it's five star quality but it wasn't a complete dump. He'd definitely been to worse and he'd been just as polite as he could to those waiters, it was just common decency.

His big table didn't have any of that and he would try to ignore it as he strode to where Justin had made himself comfortable. The man was always a good customer and he didn't feel any need to be weary around him, even with the group of snickering teenagers nearby. He was nearly there when one of the girls--the one who had commented on his presence--lurched forward and vomited in a spray on the boy across from her--that made him cringe. It was gross to watch but somehow it felt like sweet karma and warmth flooded through him, he wondered what higher power might have smiled upon him today.

He delicately stepped away from the table and nearly started laughing himself but he qualmed it behind his hand, grinning ear to ear, blue eyes shining with amusement.

"Marla, darling, there seems to be a mess over here." he called to one of the new servers and she looked up in disgust but didn't complain as she shooed the group to a new table and motioned towards the bathroom at the girl and her vomit speckled partner. The table was a mess and Marla was going to have to lay down the absorbent beads and sanitize it, he didn't want anything to do with it and he wasn't going to touch it. He was just glad that their new table was out of his section as he made his way to Justin's table, smiling brightly and much more pleased than before.

"Can I take your order, honey? Your name is Justin, right?"

He liked this guy, there was always an air of positivity around him that made him feel good about serving him. He seemed like he just liked being alive and that was such a rare trait to see in another person, he would have liked to get to know him better if he wasn't so bad at holding friends. A lot of his friends had left him after he'd come up blank about their problems and offered a lot of half-hearted "sucks-don't-it" type responses. He wasn't the most comforting man in existence but that didn't mean he was completely heartless, sometimes he felt bad, it just had to strike him right. It was rare when it did strike him right.

Maybe he was kind of heartless.
That didn't stop him from being the best damn waiter in town.

"We have a special on the cob salads, not sure how you feel about shoving a bunch of salad in your mouth but it's an option." he said warmly before raising his eyebrows.

Brooklyn, New York - Mary's Diner

Jason was glad to see the table moving, he could of course still tune into their thoughts if he wanted but they weren't in his eye site which was still an improvement to him. He didn't have patience for those who hated on people who were working to change their situation and did nothing but hate. They had reminded him of too many people he'd encountered in his life who told him he'd never amount to much but he was determined to prove them wrong.

"Yeah I'd like the double cheese burger with a side of fries, and a coke to drink. And nah name's Jason, but that was pretty damn close so I'll let it slide." Jason responded in reference to Adrien getting his name wrong, not that he really cared. He didn't expect him to remember him at all a place with food like this he figured there were plenty of people who left a decent tip.

"Hmmm naw I'm good on that but I wouldn't mind some bread rolls though" He said before closing the menu and handing it to him. This man seemed different he couldn't figure out exactly what it was but he just figured there was more to him then just being a waiter.

Perhaps his opinion was unfounded after all his power let him read minds not see the future. But it was just this feeling he had whatever it was he couldn't shake it.
...................
Manhattan, New York - Us & Them Facility

Max stepped forward and looked at a group of eight people sitting inside a room socializing. He was watching them from within a glass door, the were eight people who had sought out the service of his charity foundation Us & Them.

In his hands were some files from his former comrade in the Department of Homeland Security Emile Danko. He was a man who'd participated in an operation called Building 26 which took place before Claire Bennet had jumped off the ferris wheel. Apparently a US Senator Nathan Petrelli had come forward and exposed people with abilities to the U.S Government. He'd just recently gotten his hands on the files apparently Danko had tried to reach out to him but he was already murdered.

He'd looked into Danko's murder and the whole thing to him screamed to him of an Evo being involved. Considering the work he did in this Building 26 operation that made his theory even more plausible. "So these eight are ones with offensive abilities correct?"

Blake, his co-director of the US & Them franchise, and formerly one of his top employee's at Olympus Inc nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah that guy right there can control fire, that girl can compress space and crush anything that's being compressed, she can manipulate poison, that guy can use kinetic energy to cause explosions, this guy."

"Alright I get the gist I'll read the rest of the report, for now we need to deal with the situation. Did you send this information to the Senator?" Max inquired as he stared through the glass on the surface those eight people were no different then any other person. They were of various genders, age's, and ethnicity's sure but they all looked human. There was nothing outward about their appearance that could determine if they were a regular or evolved human. However, he'd been helping fund a project by the U.S Government to uncover whether or not someone was an evolved human via their blood, led by some indian geneticist Mohinder Suresh.

"Yeah sent it his way, he told me the information would be very helpful and made an impact on a crucial decision Congress has to make today. Said you would be happy about it.."

"Really? Always good to know the work we're doing is actually contributing to something bigger then just us." Max said with excitement, he was always concerned about the bigger picture, and the role he played in it. He had no idea what decision Blake was talking about, but he had enough connections that he could step on some toes and get the answer if he wanted. However he preferred to work in the shadows for now doing the jobs the government couldn't outright do without getting some controversy.

"Yeah yeah fixing the world and all that shit, as long as I get my check, get to do fun shit and my old lady's happy, I don't give a damn but It doesn't hurt that what we're doing is making the world safer for everyone else." Blake didn't share Max's enthusiasm for wanting to better the world. He just enjoyed the line of work as he couldn't see himself settling for some job where he didn't get to tote assault rifle's and in general engage in plenty of other behaviors that was illegal for the majority of the population.

"It's good that your a willing participant but sometimes your ignorance to importance and necessity of our work is disheartening, regardless it's time for the cleansing. Let's get this over with."

"Oh you don't want to pop some popcorn or nothing to celebrate." Blake joked as he inspect his weapon before motioning for another guard to come over to them, the security woman making her way over.

"Naw I'll save the snacks for tonight's announcement, hopefully the Senator doesn't disappoint.. on his word, now come on." Max opened the door and stepped inside with the two security guards behind him guns in hand and looked around the room. He quickly garnered the attention of the eight evolved humans in the room who looked to him and he looked at them and frowned. "You've all come here to seek the services and US & Them for a specific reason. Whether your abilities are out of control, or your family's disowned you for something you can't control, you've come to the right place. I may not understand your predicament as I've never walked in your shoes, however I am a man who wants to help everyone, even those whose problems are not my own. And as such that help extends to all humans, that said you all are not humans. " Max's look of sadness turned to one of disapproval and before some of the eight could protest he reached in his pockets taking out pistols and opened fire, as his two guards raised their weapons doing the same opening fire.

It was blood bath, albeit a short one and the bodies of the eight specials were now riddled with bullets. Max put his twin pistols back up and looked around. "Amelia, Blake take note, sedatives are very effective, that cleansing could have went very wrong if they were alert, and could access their powers quickly, that's the difference in here when there under our watch, drugged up, and contained, out there in the real world there a much bigger threat, and that's why they have to be neutralized at all costs. Keep tabs on the others from today's meetings whose powers weren't deemed as dangerous as those, and forward the report, Amelia help Blake with the purification of this room and then you can take the rest of the day off, come on we have work to do." Max finished barking orders, and made his way out of the room leaving Blake and Amelia to get to work cleaning up. As for him he had other matters to attend too, he went over to the table that he set the files from Danko on picked them up and left whistling.

Brooklyn, New York - Kai's workplace

Kai, with his mother in his arms, appeared behind two large steel dumpsters that sat next to the factory building that he and his mother worked at. Kai happened to glance at his watch. It turned out that it was much earlier than he had expected, because they had made surprisingly good time today- an hour early. Kai hadn't had a real breakfast so he turned to his mom and said, "I think I'm going to grab a bite to eat at Mary's Diner over about a block away." He pointed to a direction in which the diner generally was. "Do ya want something?"

She pondered for a quick second and replied. "Nah, I think I'm good. My coffee was good enough for me, but thanks." Kai nodded and turned his body to the street. He walked to this cozy little place that he always ate at when he got the time before work. It wasn't too often, but it was enough to have the staff remember his face. They couldn't match a real name to the face if you held a gun to their head, but at least they recognized him. Well, maybe. It had been a couple of years since he was in there last. Now that he thought about it, he didn't really expect anyone to remember him. Kai's life had been so repetitive and drawn-out, he expected everyone to follow that notion like he did. But he sighed and accepted the fact restaurant turnover rates didn't agree with that lifestyle.

He pushed open the white, wooden door and was greeted with fumes of great home-style food. He craved some sloppy fixings of eggs and crispy yet juicy bacon. That's all he wanted right now. And by God, he was going to get it. He thumbed around inside of his leather billfold, looking for the twenty bucks he was sure he had. Yup. It was in there. He smiled at people glancing at him and he sat down at the bar, waiting for someone to take his order.

Brooklyn, New York - The Place To Be.

"I suck at names, darling. Completely my bad!" he had a good laugh, genuine and warm despite the fact that he'd messed up and he whipped out his notepad. Scribbling in the man's name and table number, he added in the order with flourish and he couldn't help but wondering why so many good things had happened upon the man's entrance. He didn't stop to think about it before, it hadn't occurred to him that maybe it hadn't been a coincidence and he didn't have much time to think about it as the new customer entered. He was another face that Adrien recognized though only vaguely and he glanced back to Jason with a winning smile. Trying to push his sudden interest away and focus on getting this order to the back, he shuffled through his own thoughts briefly.

Why am I worrying about this guy? He doesn't know about the power I have. He doesn't know anything about me. I'm just some blue eyed waiter who keeps calling him endearments-honestly. If he knew I could disappear like a bad magicians act then I'd be a little screwed in the normal department.

"I'll get that out to you in a New York minute, you just hang tight, dear." he said with an easy, breezy tone as he hustled over to the window and hung the order up and gave the order wheel a spin before tucking a strand of white blond hair behind his ear and making his way to the next table. The man had a K-name, he thought that it might be Kyle but he wasn't quite sure and he'd already made an idiot of himself once today so he just thought he'd stick to calling him nothing and feigning no knowledge of his mysterious name.

"Welcome to Mary's, can I get you anything?" he asked pleasantly, brandishing his notepad. "We have a special on the Cob salad if you're interested, darling."

Brooklyn, New York - Mary's Diner

Kai looked up from his old Nokia phone that he still didn't know how to work entirely. Everyone today was engrossed in their devices so he didn't want to stand out. He just faked it, but still never understood everyone's fascination with technology. All his friends moved along before him, getting Apple phones and Ex...droids? Maybe. Kai was a simple man, wanting nothing but being what he already knew himself to be. He knew he was going to have to catch up with everyone, but now? He wanted to move at his own pace. he'd figure out his Nokia soon enough.

He slid the shiny, laminated menu the diner provided him to the waiter guy, having looked over it for the past few minutes. "Nah, I think I'll just have four scrambled eggs, extra fluffy. Bacon too," he answered. "How's your bacon here? It's been a while since I've in here." He looked warmly into the waiter's eye. The guy was just a kid. Looking like he just wanted to make a buck. But Kai supposed it wasn't his place to make those assumptions. He was just here for a good bite to eat. Maybe to get to know the staff here. If he was going to keep getting to work early, he might as well had become a pleasant regular, with a friendly face that's nice to greet.

Los Angeles, California - Blaire's apartment

Blaire Anderson definitely wasn't the nicest person in the world, in-fact many would say she wasn't kind at all. Then again the world hadn't done her many favors besides providing her with some parents who did throw some money her way for her education. Rap music was blasting in the back ground as she was eating some lays chips and smoking a blunt. She reached over for her prescription bottle and frowned as she peered inside seeing only one xanax bar left inside.

"Fuuuuck I've been waaay too faded this week, I only gotta bar left fuuuuck I gotta get some more." Blaire pouted seeing her drug supply out as she took a few more hits of the blunt now a roach and put it out on her dresser. She got up from her couch yawning and going over to her phone picking it up to check what percentage it was on. Ooooooooh almost 100% fuck yeah!

Happy about her phone percentage she went back over to where she was sitting and turned towards her laptop. She tapped the keypad lightly, and the screen lit up. She was re-watching one of her favorite video's on youtube, one of Claire Bennet jumping off the ferris wheel then regenerating. Ever since the mysterious message she'd received she'd been looking more and more into people with powers. She had a power, Claire had a power, there were others like there out there. She was fascinated by the infinite number of people and powers that might be out there.

She refreshed the screen and re-watched the immortal cheer leader leaping off even more amused now that she was high. "That shit must be fucking bad ass, being able to heal from anything, but it's still not as fun as being able to fuck everything and everyone up." The blazed sociopath noted as she turned her attention away from her laptop and reached over to a folder she'd received two days ago. She remembered getting an e-mail about getting a delivery in her campus mail box, and was astonished at what she was given. None of it really made any sense. It was files about some secret Government operation done by the Department of Homeland Security over a year almost two ago, which meant it occurred before Claire jumped off the ferris wheel.

What was more interesting was their was information about another operation that took place back in 1961 in Coyote Sands, she'd googled information about both on an incognito tab but nothing had popped up. However the information seemed legit, it was information about certain people involved powered and non powered. What convinced her was that one of these people that appeared in the files was her idol Claire Bennet, and she'd called about three of the people in the Building 26 files to ask them about their experience's. She was met with similar response's on each attempt to contact them, fear, paranoia, and denial of knowing what she was talking about followed by hanging up quickly. A subsequent attempt to call said number later resulted in her finding out that said phone had been disconnected.

All of this information was interesting and for someone with her status somewhat scary. Being high didn't help the situation either, but it also meant she was really drawn into the information. She already thought people with powers should be in charge, and this information only supported her choice. It seemed even before Claire had exposed it to the public, some in the Government seemed to know. But perhaps the most interesting thing about the files was inside she'd found a short note.

Dear Blaire,

You're Right about them.

Sincerely,

A Man who's really sorry he disagreed with you.

There was no return address so she had no idea who sent her the package, but the note was just mind blowing. When she'd went to pick up the package she'd hadn't cared as she was off xanax. But as she sobered up and re-read the letter yesterday morning she began trying to figure out who wrote the letter. She'd never met any other evolved humans not that she'd known of and while she figured evolved humans were superior as soon as she figured out what she was there wasn't anyone she'd ever had that discussion with.

Regardless of whatever was happening it was good to know there was someone else in the world who thought she was the best. After a little more reading she decided to put the files away. She wished she could find out more about what happened, but calling people wasn't good because they probably figured it was agents coming from them. And talking to the people who did the hunting well that might yield some interesting results, and give her a chance to hurt someone. Hmm I haven't even fucked anybody up since I started smoking hmm, might as well kill some people before I go to the doctor's then I can murder people barred out!

She turned towards the carpet to the left of her couch and there appeared to be a miniature city on top of it. She grinned as she looked through the miniature city before she found what she was looking for. Her old high school, she had plenty of "fun" times their she only wished she had manifested this power before graduation. Still she looked at her watch school was still in session, and plenty of the old staff and plenty of people she went to school with where still there right now. She raised her foot above the city and stomped down on the high school smashing it. She then turned her attention away from the city and got up from the couch while stretching and laughing. "That was fun."

Brooklyn, New York - Mary's Diner

"No Problem." Jason had said in response to the waiter's first comment about getting his name wrong. He hadn't expected him too, and for now it was time to play the waiting game with his food. He was a little impatient when it came to waiting on food more so when he was hungry, but the fulfillment from making 30k off one A$AP Rocky had him feeling calm. All he needed was his soda and a couple rolls to hold him until his final meal was ready.

Hopefully New York time is faster then black time I swear we be taking forever. Jason chuckled to himself and decided to just peer into the minds of some of the people in the diner. If anything it would help pass the time, the best part about honing this power was being able to listen into the thoughts of people usually he'd hear things ranging from mundane to disturbing. However what he picked up from the waiter caused him to an eyebrow.

Why am I worrying about this guy? He doesn't know about the power I have. Jason heard this and listened to the rest briefly peering into his head to see a visual representation of his thoughts and saw him turning invisible before quickly leaving his head.

Invisibility huh, I thought this dude was sum different, but I wasn't expecting that. Holy shit ole dude is like me, fuck is he working here with what he can do. Jason knew their were others out there, he'd ran into a few evolved humans in New York. Invisibility was a cool power, and he could only think about the potential it had. Someone like that didn't just need to limit themselve's to bussing tables to make a living, with the business he was involved in he could see plenty of more lucrative opportunities for someone with a skill set such as his. The only question was what type of person was Adrien and would he be up for a chance to move up in the world if Jason could provide him with one. I picked the right place to grab a burger, let's see if I can get this guy that there's more money outside this diner even if their food is fucking boss.

Manhattan New York - Max’s Apartment

Max was just settling into his apartment after checking his phone and reading his texts. Blake had taken care of the situation and cleaned up with Amelia. He was glad everything was settled, and went over to his fridge to grab a bottle of water. In-fact the only thing in his fridge was water, he was a man who was health conscious and not only that required himself to be at his very best with the lifestyle he lived.

He went for the remote, and turned it on. AMC was the first thing that came on, however that wasn’t what he wanted to watch. He quickly flipped through some channels and stopped at the news.

“Congress has a special announcement about a new bill about to be passed that is related to country’s Evolved human situation, but more on that after this. Within the past thirty minutes an entire high school in Los Angeles was wiped out and everyone inside killed.”

“What the fuck.” Max said in shock…as the remote fell from his hand. An entire high school wiped off the map, he watched the TV as it shifted to a high school completely destroyed. It wasn’t an explosion it appeared some force had smashed it into the ground and the switched to an aerial view showing what appeared to be a giant foot print around the school that extended to part of the parking lot as well. “Fuck!!!!!” This has to be a power but what the fuck was it. This is ruthless…

Max was watching in disbelief as he looked at the scene on the TV, emergency personnel in the form of police, firemen, and paramedics were all over the scene. He couldn’t even count the number of police cruisers, fire trucks, and ambulance’s on the screen right now. They switched over to some student who was crying and apparently had went to her car to grab a change of clothes for gym when she witnessed what happened.

“One minute I was going through my trunk looking for my shorts, and then I hear this loud BAM and then I see the entire school gone. It all happened in an instant, everyone’s gone, even part of the parking lot was wiped out this is crazy it’s…oh my god.” She was crying tears rolling down her face as she described the horrific event that took place.

Max didn’t want to watch any more, and changed the channel a couple times until he arrived at a news channel that was just getting done talking about the high school situation and switching back to the Government’s announcement. He just shook his head and took a few more sips of his water thinking back to what he said earlier at the US &Them Foundation. Danko what the hell were you getting yourself into trying to go against these people in the shadows, with what the can do you need the whole world backing you to stop them. Max’s mood was ruined for the day, just thinking about all the people killed.

But the announcement he read on the bottom of his television screen caused him to raise an eyebrow. Test that can determine if someone is a regular or evolved human completed, to be administered to all U.S Citizens. “Today in Washington D.C, it’s been revealed that the Government has determined a way to figure out if someone has an ability or not. Accordingly they’ve passed a bill named the Bennet Act, obviously in reference to Claire Bennet herself who made her people public. This bill states there will be a mandatory testing to determine if someone has an ability or not, and it will be implemented into various establishments including work places, schools, and various government buildings. The Government says they are already beginning process of shipping out these tests across the country, and will start training various people on how to administer the tests and determine the results. Several in Congress have said this is a step in the right direction, and the President of the United States will speak on the matter later tonight. Many have concerns that..”

Max couldn’t believe it, he didn’t know whether it was a coincidence or a stroke of luck that on the day of such a tragedy something good had come out of it. All that money he’d poured into this project wasn’t meaningless, and the plan was coming to fruition much sooner then he’d expected. He went and picked up his remote placing it back down to the side of him as watched the television was intensity. After this announcement he knew it wouldn’t be long before his phone was ringing, and that people had work for him and Olympus Inc. He figured there had to be plenty who’d find this new Bennet Act problematic, and he’d be happy to give them test of his Smith and Wesson.

"Holy shit..." Michael Henderson, just your average doctor watching the news at home as he got dressed for work. He watched in shock when seeing the bird's eye view of the destroyed school. Questions sprouted in his head as he was curious to how something so destructive could happen. As he tied his shoes in his bedroom, his wife, Jennifer entered after hearing Michael's reaction to the broadcast.

"Que pasa?" Jennifer asked, wanting to know what was going on. Michael's eyes remained on the television as he tried to explain.

"The school over on the other side of town... it ummm-" Michael was cut off.

"It exploded?! How?! Oh my god! All those kids!" Jennifer said in shock as she seemed like she was ready to breakdown and cry. It took a lot to make her shed a tear, but this was a disaster.

"I know..." Michael sighed as he shook his head. This wasn't what he wanted to start his day with. Michael grabbed his keys before looking at his wife who was still taken by the news. When the next story broke way about the Bennet Act, her mood changed, and not slightly. Michael knew his wife's opinion on Claire Bennet, and he honestly disagreed with her. He just believed the world wasn't ready yet, whole his wife felt that her people should hide their powers in secret until the rest of the world caught up to them which would take forever. Michael figure ld if he kept his mouth shut about it, he was pretty much in good standings until she pushed the topic on him. Thanks Bennet Act. Better leave while I still have a chance! "Hey babe, I gotta get to work. I'll see you tonight." Michael said quickly as if he was in a hurry. Jennifer was so caught up with the news that she just turned her head to receive a kiss while her eyes looked to the screen. After giving Jennifer a kiss, Michael walked past her and headed out the bedroom. "Enjoy your day off!"

"Mhm!" Jennifer replied. She couldn't believe this was happening. Blood tests were the last thing she needed. Jennifer enjoyed her cozy life without anyone knowing what she could do. "Claire Bennet... puta susia! You can't speak for all of us!" Jennifer then sighed as she attempted to calm herself. She seated herself on her bed before grabbing the remote to turn it off. This was her worst day off ever.

Meanwhile, Michael was driving his black Honda Accord to the hospital. He wondered if there would be a lot of people coming in from the school. The moment he heard sirens in the distance, he groaned. He didn't enjoy hearing that sound at all. It meant both work and tragedy.

As the young doctor pulled into the parking lot, he headed straight for the emergency room.

"Thank god you got here early!" A nurse praised as Michael walked in with the upmost confidence. It was things said like that which made Michael's ego grow.

"Don't worry. Just tell me what we got on our plate and we'll make a plan like always. Let's get it!" Michael exclaimed as he did in his younger days. He put on his white coat and sterile gloves. It was time to get to business.

Brooklyn, New York - Honestly. Talk to your waiter for details if you're confused about where he is.

"I'd say they're pretty good," hummed the waiter, arching his eyebrows as he took back the menu and tucked it under his arm. "Then again, I'm also under obligation to say that about the turnip greens and I can promise you, those are disgusting. This is your gamble, my friend but-"

A jokingly secretive glance from side to side, "I promise I actually like most of the meat-based stuff here, especially the burgers. Just don't ever try the fish, if you love yourself then it's not worth the effort." he scribbled the order in with ease and spun on his heel, heading back towards the counter and stick the order to the wheel.

He gave it a good spin and tore off the old tickets, tossing them and ducking into the back, it was bustling with waitresses and waiters and cooks. The smell of food filled his nose instantly and reminded him he had to take a lunch break before he left, sometimes it slipped his mind and he let the time draw until he got home and he really wasn't in the mood today. He had also made a good earning of tips so far and they felt weighty in his apron, tips were good, it was rare when he made enough to do anything productive with and he'd have to grab a side job sometime soon. Maybe pick up some extra hours, he was a good worker, he knew he could start getting some real paychecks. His mother had always warned him that waiting tables didn't pay the bills and he'd been in steady denial of that for quite some time and here he was behind on practically everything but that was fine. He'd figure it out.

He scooped up the order that was meant to go out to Jason, balancing it on one hand and picking up the rolls in the other. He guessed the order had been finished so quickly because it had originally been started for the group table, they had filed out pretty quickly after the incident and now there was a bunch of useless food sitting around. He made a note to swipe the chicken tenders when he came back through and he headed out, humming under his breath as he settled the tray in front of Jason with flourish. "And there you go, darling. We had an accident at one of the tables and they left without even asking for to-go boxes or tipping the poor dear who had to clean their mess." an eye roll and a head shake. "Bunch of hooligans either way. Their tip probably would have made Marla's day worse."

He seemed vaguely amused despite his half hearted sympathy for the other server, he even tossed her a glance and she huffed at him. "She'll be fine. She just hates that I won't clean tables. Anyway, you enjoy that." he said warmly, his blue eyes glinting.

Brooklyn, New York - Mary's Diner

Jason was entertaining himself with possibilities if he managed to convince this guy to work with him. A power like that was useful to both his legal and illegal business ventures. Although he still very much enjoyed his power, and wouldn't trade it for another.

His phone was buzzing again and he went to check it. He had been so focused on looking through thoughts he hadn't been paying attention to his iphone. He had quite a few texts, and missed calls, although he wasn't about to hop on the phone. He quickly put in his password and went to respond to some texts. He liked to get back to people as quickly as possible, there was no time to be wasted in his mind.

It wasn't long before Adrien was back with his food and setting it down. It seemed he was reaping the benefits of some karma as his food came earlier then expected due to him messing with that rowdy group earlier. He reached for the ketchup and began putting some on his plate for the fries before sipping his drink. He dipped a fry in some ketchup and took a bite. "Mhmm" This shit is good. "I saw was pretty nasty, but I'm hungry enough that even that couldn't stop my appetite. Why don't you give her this sounds like she's had a pretty fucked up shift today." Jason reached in his pocket going for his wallet and took out a $50 bill putting it on the table.

"Why don't you pass her that, compensation for the shitty ass table she just had to deal with, and you best believe I'm about to enjoy this food." Jason took another whiff of the freshly made food before taking a few bites of his burger followed by chasing it with some more soda before he decided now was a good time to try to shoot him a question before he took the money to Marla."Hey one more thing man you know something you really seem like you should be doing something more then this no offense cause this is a nice joint. But there's far more money outside of here, hell I've got more then a few lucrative opportunities on the table right now if your interested."

Los Angeles, California

Blaire was on her way to the doctor right now speeding through traffic as usual. She occasionally glanced into her rear view mirror to see if she spotted the LAPD but otherwise kept up her speed. She was having a great day and really didn't want to have it get messed up by getting a ticket.

The radio was blasting Kendrick Lamar's Alright making the drive their even more relaxing despite how crazy some of the drivers in LA where. "Damn this guy's going too fucking slow in the damn fast lane!!" Blaire complained as she looked to her right mirror to see if she had enough time and space before quickly going right without even using her signal. She pressed down on the gas quickly passing the car in-front of her and moved over to the left getting in-front of him before quickly pressing down on the brakes as she noticed the upcoming light turning from yellow to red.

"Ahh fuck dude behind me was wasting too much fucking time, I'd kill him if we weren't in traffic fuck fuck fuck!!!" Blaire hated getting stuck at the light especially one as slow as this. She tapped her fingers on the wheel and sighed fantasizing about killing the driver behind her before the light finally turned green. She was quick to accelerate going off and it wasn't long before she was pulling into the parking lot for the doctor's office. She crept through before finding a parking space and racing in parking her car, putting it in park, and taking the keys out of the ignition.

"Time to finess." She said as she made her way to the hospital and headed to the emergency room. She would have hit her dealer up to get some bars, but this was cheaper. Not to mention he said he wasn't going to have any for at least a week maybe two and she wanted to party now. As soon as she got to the emergency room she went over to go sign in and it wasn't long before she heard a nurse calling her name.

Soon after going through the usual with the nurse, soon after she was in a curtained off area just sitting on the bed waiting for the doctor. She was doing her best to act depressed as she waited for the doctor. Where is the doctor ugh I wanna go pop some bars, drink some vodka, and turn up.

Claire Bennet's home

Peter suddenly appeared in Claire's room via teleportation and glared at her. He still cared about his niece, but he could no longer support her. Ever since she jumped off the ferris wheel, she'd changed the world and in his opinion not for the better.

He knew things would get bad, but when they actually were it just made him more upset." Do you see what you did Claire! Do you see what you fucking did! You kept talking about how things were going to get better, and how different things would be this time if the public saw us. But there about to start testing, my mom and Noah were right people don't change! You shouldn't have exposed us, because not everyone is like us, not everyone can heal!" Peter was furious and turned towards her television causing it to come on to CNN where they were showing the Bennet Act.

"Hmp they even named it after you, you can't still think you're doing the right thing! Sure there not coming out with guns and starting up the hunts again, but they will! Sooner or later that's human nature there coming after us, and we have to be ready to fight, and not just that we have to ready to win Claire, you started this shit, now I need you to help me fix it we have to go after them before they come after us!"

Elena Reese

Glendale Community College, Los Angeles, California

Groaning rather loudly Elena opened her eyes as she looked at her phone showing that it was 8AM on the clock, she was never the one for waking up so early in the morning. Looking around her bedroom Elena slowly got up from her bed and started to get changed into a pair of short jeans as well as a tank top. Letting out a sigh Kayla headed out of her bedroom and into the small apartment's kitchen and fixed herself a coffee and turned on the news.

“Congress has a special announcement about a new bill about to be passed that is related to country’s Evolved human situation, but more on that after this. Within the past thirty minutes an entire high school in Los Angeles was wiped out and everyone inside killed. Today in Washington D.C, it’s been revealed that the Government has determined a way to figure out if someone has an ability or not. Several in Congress have said this is a step in the right direction, and the President of the United States will speak on the matter later tonight." Elena's bright blue eyes went down towards the bottom of the screen seeing the words displayed at the bottom. "Test that can determine if someone is a regular or evolved human completed, to be administered to all U.S Citizens."

Upon reading and hearing the news on the screen she quickly turned it off, remembering the video that made international headlines about Claire Bennet exposing her ability to the whole world by jumping off of a Ferris Wheel where it would have killed a normal person. Of course this all had happened after her own ability had emerged, knowing how religious her whole family was Elena took all the money and belongings she had and moved to the other side of the country since that day she has never even made the attempt to contact them. Since then Elena had kept her ability a secret.

Elena heard her coffee maker going off and looked over towards the brewed coffee, she reached for the mug and took a sip from it. Looking down at her phone now she grabbed her brown leather shoulder bag which had all of her school supplies in it. She headed down towards the parking lot where an old orange mustang was. Which was her uncles who passed away and gave to her, who she was also very close to. Setting her bag in the seat next to her she turned the key in hearing the engine starting up and then failed. "Are you fucking kidding me!" Elena yelled smashing her hands on the steering wheel, she tried it again and it failed once more.

Elena sighed even more as she got up from the mustang and popped open the hood, looking around the engine was old and required a lot of parts to fix it. Looking around for a moment Elena closed her eyes hovering her hand over the car battery and sighed as she used her ability to jumpstart the old car which quickly came to life. She got back into the car looking over at her phone once more she had a good two hours before classes started and decided to drive over towards the school that was on the news.

Brooklyn, New York - Mary's Diner. (now with formatting)

Kai politely said thank you when the waiter went the other way, almost certainly to tell the cook his order. The waiter was nice enough, he supposed. Not many service workers are transparent enough to tell you their turnip greens kind of suck ass. Most just say "Yeah. They're pretty good." Then, you end up taking a bite of the greens and up cursing at yourself for trusting that rascally waiter. But Kai didn't have to do that. he had a nice waiter. He looked back to his phone and it was buzzing, sliding on the counter slightly from its own vibrations. He picked it up and answered it. "Hello?' he said.

It was his mom. "Yeah, hey. Kai? Do you have the key to the break room? We got here so early that no one has the key to unlock it. Everyone here is working early part-time shifts."

Not even hanging up, Kai teleported to inside of the break room. He reached around for a light switch, turned it, which in turn, turned on the lights. He pressed the lock button on the door and pulled it open for his mother, who was on the other side. She had a purse in her hand, with her other hand holding up her cell to her ear. "Thanks, hun. How was your breakfast? Taste alright?" his mom asked. "I need to know because I want to know if Mary's is any good or not."

"Actually," Kai retorted. "I hadn't gotten my food run to me when you called. The service seems pretty good though, and that really is half the battle."

"That's nice to know, but don't let me keep you. I'm'a let you eat. See ya later, Kai."

"See ya, mom." Kai smiled and waved, then in the next second he was back in his chair at the diner. He hoped no one saw him teleport just then, or even a couple minutes earlier. There was a good number of people in there, though. Maybe no one noticed. Maybe everyone had their nose in their phones or were too busy talking to other people. It didn't matter much to Kai, anyway. He wasn't the most recognizable face on the planet, excluding when he's known by a friend. Anyone that cared to confront him had to be good with faces. Kai directed his attention to his own phone, tapping away, mostly just looking at his pictures.

Manhattan, New York - New York University Campus then to Brooklyn, New York

A very light skinned female could be seen sitting there with her chin inside the palm of her hand, a slight sigh huffing from her now as her professor had it on the news. She had her headphones in and was nodding her head to the music that played. Her eyes shifted towards the television screen briefly before looking back down and writing down a few notes from the board before her. Suddenly, a loud bell went off and she jumped slightly, causing everyone who saw her to laugh. Her best friend, Emily came to her defense. "How would guys like if you jumped at a loud noise and people laughed at you?" She raised her fists up towards them as they all scoffed and walked away.

Mallory looked up at Emily with a smile, softly speaking towards her. "Thanks but you really didn't have to do that." Emily shrugged her shoulders while turning heel and walking alongside Mallory now. "I know but hey, what kind of friend would I be if I let them get away with something like that." Mallory shook her head at Emily's response as they made their way to the front of the campus now and stood there chit-chatting for awhile. "So, you want to go and get a bite to eat?" Mallory offered Emily, who looked at her, shaking her head. "I would love to but I have one more class, which I am so late for. Toodles. We'll talk later."

She waved goodbye to Emily while turning and walking towards the parking lot, getting inside of her car and starting the engine. She grasped her fingertips around the steering wheel for a moment before backing out, almost hitting another car. She slammed on her brakes and waved towards the guy while saying sorry but the guy did nothing but flip her off and continued on driving.

Mallory made her way towards Brooklyn, which was nothing but a fifteen minute drive from Manhattan, well with no traffic. She wanted to go to the local diner they had there since the food was amazing, although the service wasn't exactly grade A. She chuckled at the slight thought that crossed her mind while pulling up into a nearby parking spot and turning her car off. Mallory reached down and grabbed her clutch purse and cell phone, sending her brother a text. [I am in your neck of the woods. Meet me at Mary's Diner, fool!] She pressed the send button with a slight smirk then got out of her vehicle.

She walked into the diner and asked for a table for two. Of course, the person eyed her with a raised brow and Mallory looked at them. "My brother is coming. Now, table for two." She commented as the hostess showed her towards the table and sat the menus down. "Someone will be with you shortly. Okay?" The hostess said then walked away. Her phone chimed and she quickly reached out and grabbed it, reading the text message her brother sent her. With a smile, she turned her phone off and sat it back down onto the table, reviewing her eyes over the menu.

Brooklyn, New York - New York's Dance Studio then Mary's Diner

"Alright. Come on, guys. I am going to show you one more time. Okay?"

A young boy voice said as he broke down a few dance moves step by step in a gigantic mirror before him. He then turned heel and eyed every single one of the participants and made sure they understood the steps before going any further with them. "Okay. Here we go then. 1..2..1, 2 and..." The music started and the group before him began to dance. Matthew nodded his head to the music but watching everyone's movements carefully, making sure no one misses a step. "Nice." He said with smile while giving everyone a high five then running over towards his bag after hearing his phone chime. It was a text message from his sister, inviting him to the local diner to eat with her.

Matthew smiled a little then started typing a reply. [Be there shortly, Sis.] After hitting the send button, he got back up to his feet and eyed his group of dancers. "Alright, from the top!" His voice yelled excitedly then his hands clapped together repeatedly. After dancing for a few more minutes, he ended his class for the day and wished that everyone be safe and hoped that they have a good night. Matthew didn't bother taking his car towards the diner, since the walk was about three minutes from the studio.

Upon reaching the diner and entering, his eyes squinted as he searched for his sister. "Hey, I am here to meet someone." The hostess blushed and winked. "Well, here I am, sailor." Matthew raised a brow at her then saw his sister at a nearby table. "Never mind. I see my sister." He started to walk away but then turned around. "Oh, by the way, I'm gay." He winked while walking over and seeing his sister, sitting down in front of her.

"Hey, sis." He spoke as Mallory raised her head up from her menu. "Hey there. So, how was class? Well, you know, dance class." She asked. Matthew nodded his head while picking up his menu, speaking. "It was exhausting but I got through it." Matthew commented then looked up and could've sworn he seen a guy that had just teleported. Matthew tried his best not to stare but couldn't help it. Mallory raised a brow then turned to look at the male then back at her brother.

"Why are you staring at him like that?" She'd ask as her brother stammered while pointing his index finger towards the male. "Because, he just teleported. I am not going crazy. I saw what I saw." Matthew replied as Mallory shook her head, leaning back in her seat. Matthew continued to stare at the male, seeing if he was going to teleport again or not.

Manhattan New York - Max's Apartment

Max was pleased by the announcement, and already got some calls from people who wanted Olympus Inc's services to be provided to help provide security aboard air-crafts flying out delivering shipments of the testing equipment. But the most pressing situation he was dealing with was the one in Los Angeles an entire high school, and a giant foot print. His phone rang again and he looked again to pick up.

"Hello?"

"Max Stross" The voice inquired.

"Yeah it's me Governor, whatever you need or want me to say this is a secure line courtesy of Olympus Inc, and my CIA connects. I'm guessing your calling about the situation with the high school? The Evolved human attack hmm?" Max wasn't one to waste time he got straight to the point, and the fact that an entire school was wiped out warranted that anyway. Besides if that's what the Governor was calling about he'd be happy to deal with the situation.

"It's not been confirmed that a power was behind it, but there's no way else to describe it, it's like the entire school was stepped on by some massive person, and hell with all the crazy shit these super fuckers are capable of I wouldn't even doubt it, but it happened out of nowhere, and no Godzilla sized person was spotted. I don't even know what to say, I'm speaking later tonight, but what the fuck do I say, I can tell the people we're on it, that we're doing something, but I'm at a loss fuck it's."

"No what happened today was a tragedy, but it's not the end of the world. What you need to do tonight is comfort the people of California, offer a message of hope, and don't tell them your trying to deal with the situation, tell them you ARE taking care of the situation. I'm not much of a religious man but I do believe in karma, and whoever did that to the school will get theres, courtesy of me. Consider this situation handled I'll take care of it personally, my advice to you is to push for those blood tests heavy in LA. Use the tragedy of what happened to that high school to your advantage, have police, military testing everyone it'll make my investigation a-lot easier if I know every evolved human in the city, and from there figure out their powers, and which one caused this. Now I have to go Governor, remember stay sharp, this is not a time to show weakness." Max hung up and scoffed.

He went over to his closet getting two bags one full of weapons, and one empty. He quickly began to pack some stuff in the empty one while shaking his head. That bastard thinks he has the right to be scared when the people of California are depending on him, it's a sad day when the people who are suppose to be our leaders are just as scared as the followers. Max as usual was judging people, but he felt justified when he did in this case because the Governor needed to be strong right now or at least be damn good at pretending he was.

As he was almost done packing he went over to his phone and picked up the phone calling one of his agents. Come on pick the fucking phone up. "Dalton, hello how's your progress in L.A with your assignment? "

"Good don't worry I'm being discreet as possible, I'm not going to get the agent who called in our services implicated, she's with us now we already took care of the first person who looked up Building 26. Some journalist who could make people tell the truth, the other person is some college chick we're going to move in and deal with her today. I'll be on the first flight back to New York tomorrow."

" You won't be catching that flight tomorrow Dalton, I need you and your team stationed their. I'm getting a flight down there tonight and I'll be calling a back up team to join me. There taking care of a mission right now but they'll be joining us in LA tomorrow by the afternoon, and early evening at the latest."

"Ah shit and here I was hoping to come home, crack open a bottle of Jameson and get freaky with this new chick she's got a thing for men in uniforms." Dalton retorted somewhat disappointed that his assignment would be prolonged." I'm guessing this is about the high school that got stepped on by Godzilla and Casper's love child huh?"

"You always did have a fucked up way with words, but to summarize yeah. I just spoke with the Governor, I took on the assignment, this is a big, we can't afford to fuck this up, this is our chance to prove to the rest of the world that these people are not a force to be played with, and need to be eliminated. I'm about to be on our way to our private air field right now. By this time tomorrow I want that bitch who looked into Building 26 dead so we can get our money from the CIA, and make sure our business with them is over. Then we'll be on course to find the bastard who wiped out that high school, and I'll personally cleanse them myself." Max hung up the phone, went around the room double checking to make sure he had everything packed, then made his way out of his apartment.

Michael found himself swamped with patients today. I bet you're waiting for the "and he was very exhausted" line, but no. Michael enjoyed the he'll out of this. For one, he was helping people, whether they suffered from something minor and didn't want to use their insurance, or something major that would completely change their lives for the worse. The last guy he had made him chuckle. A teenage boy informing him of his burning pee. Michael found this so hilarious that he brought his smile over to his next patient. A young woman who seemed like she was down.

"Come on, turn up!" Michael said with a smile before he looks at his clipboard. "Blaire... Nice name, it fits." Michael said trying to keep things comfortable. "So what's up with you? Did you wake up with a superpower?" Michael joked.

Odessa, Texas

Claire Bennet glared back at Peter as he spoke. Who the hell do you think you are? My father? Like I even listen to him anyway...

"Fix? What is there to fix Peter? You don't get it do you? We don't have to hide anymore! You say there aren't people like us with abilities, but isn't it better to know who they are before we have another Sylar?! Speaking of which... didn't you let the serial killer go Scott free? Maybe you should check yourself, because you're the one who has made a problem that only you agree with." Claire grunted as she turned from her uncle and pointed at the television. The school is now shown. "You see, now we as a society, not just our little family can stop shit like this. People know what this means and it wI'll only be a matter of time till we get rid of all the bad ones. The world needs to know... People need to stop hiding. It's just sad."

Elena Reese

Site of High School Massacre, Los Angeles, California

It was complete chaos at the site, at least five different helicopters ranging from news station choppers, to police choppers as well as hospital choppers air lifting injured from the site. On the ground more news crews were covering the story and paramedics running around, then Elena could see white sheets covering up the bodies that were found. Doing her best Elena closed her eyes trying to not look at the sight of it, wondering who could have done an attack like this?

Reaching into her shoulder bag Elena pulled out her own camera studying journalism back at Glendale, she looked around seeing the yellow caution tape around the whole perimeter of the high school. Looking for the least guarded point Elena quickly snuck through unseen by police. They were all way to busy searching for survivors as well as trying to get statements from people who weren't at the school but close to the site to see what happened.

"Help!" Elena could hear several people yelling for help, following the pleas for help Elena spotted a very small opening but it was covered by some rebar from the building as well as some live wires that were moving around madly with an electric current. All the while a news chopper was flying over and hovering over where Elena was which she didn't even notice. "Hold still, i'm here to help!" Elena said as she started to move away crushed brick, moving what looked like school supplies as well as some wood. Sighing heavily she wiped away the sweat that was over her face now. Then Elena went for the rebar that was blocking the way groaning loudly and using all of her strength she had at first it wouldn't budge, then she pushed it some more until it finally was able to make the hole bigger. But it exposed a pipe sending some water down onto the students who were trapped inside.

"Back up hurry!" Elena yelled as the survivors did, feeling the live electricity knowing that she would expose herself to the world she had to do it now. Taking a moment she closed her eyes and started to relax and extended her hand out towards the live wire, the news chopper overhead now focused on her and recording her every move.

"I got this.." Elena said to herself as the bolt of electricity came out of the live wire and into her hand. "Hurry, and get out now! Elena yelled, there were at least five students and a teacher they were surprisingly uninjured just a few open cuts and possible broken bones but one by one they started to crawl out. Seeing that the news chopper was overhead, Elena once all of them were out Elena quickly made a run towards her car.

"An Evolved Human Saves People Trapped in the Rubble!"

Noah Bennet:

"Yes, i'm at the site now. And yes I know of the Bennet Act already its on the radio." Noah said over the phone seeing the group of six that were running over towards a nearby ambulance, he could see a girl running over towards the old rusted Mustang. Getting the feeling that something had happened he looked back towards the site of the crushed high school. "Hey I'll call you back." As he got closer, the mustang quickly started and drove out of the site. Seeing the license plate number he quickly wrote it down, letting out a sigh and turned around to ask the group that was just saved.

"Did any of you know who she was?" Noah asked looking to the group who were being tended to and they all shook her head, letting out a sigh he nodded. "Did she do anything strange?" He then asked, then a girl finally spoke. "I saw her control the electricity coming from the wires, and saved us." She said, Noah nodded at her. "Thank you."

Noah turned around and walked over towards his car and opened up his phone and called someone. "Hey I was wondering if you could look up a license plate number for me and find out who it belongs to." He said as he got back into his car.

Los Angeles, California - Emergency Room

Blaire wasn't the most patient person so sitting around waiting around on the doctor wasn't really her idea of a fun time. But it was worth it to get some more pills since her dealer didn't know for sure when he'd get some more.

It wasn't long before her doctor made his way into the room, and began talking. Wow he's cute. Maybe I should tell him that he could help with my "Depression" even better then xans She amused herself with her own thoughts but didn't allow herself to actually show any signs of legitimate happiness she was going to her best to feign depression. That was easy for her to do, all she had to do was think about her life before she had her powers and that familiar hopeless feeling sunk right in.

"I..I'm permanently turnt down....that's kinda why I'm here.."Blaire spoke with sadness and monotone. She didn't even respond to his comment about her name, although she was happy someone liked her name.

"I wish maybe then something good would finally happen to me, but...I.."Blaire managed to force a few tears out of her eye that she quickly brushed away with her finger. "But good is a foreign concept in my life..sometimes I don't even know why I wake up in the morning, a-lot of times I wish I didn't." Blaire looked down wanting to avoid looking Michael in the eyes, not that she wasn't confident in her abilities of deception but just for appearances. "I..just need my medication...sometimes xanax feels like it's the only thing that makes my life bearable..j..just today..my old high school was wiped out, almost everyone's dead, all the teachers I liked, and all my friends still in high school there...all dead..."Blaire sniffled and then some more tears came from her eyes at the mention of the high school. I'm so glad I killed all those motherfuckers, not only was it fun as hell but it's gonna make getting pills easier win win situation.

Odessa, Texas Claire Bennet's Home

I'm not your father but maybe if you listened to him we wouldn't be in the situation we're in! Peter thought in response to hearing Claire's thoughts but decided not to comment on that. He knew his niece didn't like when people messed around with her head even if it wasn't his fault that he heard a surface thought from her.

"No you don't get it Claire! If you don't see that what you did was wrong, and that the situation you created is a mess. I'd rather deal with another Sylar then the entire world coming after us! And like I said my mom and Noah were right people don't change, I admit I messed up by giving that bastard a second chance but unlike you I fixed my mistake, I took care of the Pandora's Box I opened, you didn't." Peter spoke with a condescending tone as he lectured Claire, soon after the whole ordeal with Samuel and the Carnival was taken care of he slowly began to regret his decision of trying to help the murderer of his brother and many others seek redemption. After using him some more for his own purpose's he took him down and made his amends with Matt.

He couldn't help but feel bad about the school situation, and watched as the news described what happened. "No as a society things like that are going to push us closer to an all out war between us and them, and there's going to be tragedy on both sides! It could have been different me, you, my mom, Noah, Matt, Mohinder, Hiro, all of us could have started a new Company, a better one, handled stuff like this, took care of people like this before they could do shit like that, and even if we failed to stop a few disasters at least we wouldn't have to deal with the media and government using incidents like this to pass bills like the one they approved today in your name! You see how long we lasted while we were hidden, it won't be the same with us out in the open now Claire. I came here to try to reason with you, to get your help to save the world from the mess you put it in, but your still blind to this nonsense about how people can change, and how things will get better. They won't Claire, these tests are gonna be used to find us and after that hurt us, I don't understand how you can think anything different" Peter said as he continued to berate his niece, he loved her and felt like it was job to help protect her especially since he'd promised Nathan that he would. But he also wanted to save the world, and if Claire was on the opposing team then what else could he do.
