Standing at 5'2" with a pitiful weight of 98 pounds, Lorelei is what many would call a petite beauty. Paired with her personality, colors seem to pop around her, gaining a vibrancy of their own. Her hair is a sort of crimson red, something she got from her father and her eyes are bright and glimmering blue, something she got from both of her parents. With a round face and soft skin, she's ever the beauty that her mother was all those years ago, albeit with a different hair color. (Her sister was the one that got the blonde hair and blue eyes.) Lorelei tends to hold herself in a certain way and with a certain delicacy.

Personality: Lorelei likes to play the part of the sweet and innocent girl next door, something her sister finds quite annoying, considering she sees the other, less sweet, side of Lorelei all the time at home. When around other females, Lorelei is kind and gentle, wanting only to be friends and around males, she becomes shy and reserved. However, her sister has seen many times where Lorelei walks away from a boy seething in anger at how he treated her so coldly. Two sides to the same coin. One second she's calling your name sweetly and the next she's clawing your eyes out. A bit peculiar really. But... deep down, Lorelei is struggling, still, to discover exactly who she is and if there is anyone she can honestly be herself with besides her family. She knows that many guys and girls don't like the sort of person she is, brash and impulsive.

History: Lorelei grew up in a particularly normal home with her twin sister, Adalinda, commonly called Ada by her family and friends. Lorelei's name was also shortened to Lori considering her initial difficulties pronouncing her own name. (However, now she much prefers people call her Lorelei. While Ada simply doesn't care.) She being the younger of the two, by a mere 2 minute margin, was always a bit jealous of her older sister who seemed to have all of the boys flock to her but never cared for them. Lorelei had to fight for it, she dieted and did her makeup and did all of those god-awful skin treatment processes all while Ada sat on the couch all day and watched TV with their dad. Still, she couldn't exactly fault her sister.

Ada had always been there for Lorelei through thick and thin, through break-up after break-up and through the loss of a good deal of Lorelei's friends. Ada'd even beaten up a few guys for picking on Lorelei way back when. Even now, Ada's the only one Lorelei will let call her Lori. Not even her mother. She still yells at her father when he calls her by her pet name, "Lollipop." On the other hand, Ada didn't care what you called her, she smiled when their father called her, "Ada-Bear." For some reason, even to this day, Lorelei can't seem to pull herself out of her sister's shadow, a place Lorelei put herself on her own. She can't seem to realize that she is a separate person from Ada...

She got the invitation from a postal carrier at her school. Usually they just send emails about this stuff, but for whatever reason, this guy needed to deliver it to her personally. After opening it in her dorm, a rather obnoxious noise came from Lorelei's voice not unlike the sound a small bird makes when it wants food. She immediately rushed out of her dorm room and down the hall to tell her darling sister where they would be going for Christmas Break.

Towering at 5'6" and weighing 120 pounds, Ada is 4 inches taller than her 'younger by 2 minutes' twin sister. Her blonde hair is long and thin and travels down towards the back of her knees. Her sister had a fondness for hair growing up so she kept it long for her and cant' bring herself to cut it now. She is the sportier of the two sisters and has a much more muscular body than her counterpart. Her blue eyes are identical to her twin sister, however, and is one of her defining features. Many boys have asked her out simply because of her eyes. She is not one for trying to be cute but her sister often insists on doing her make-up and dressing her up.

Personality: Ada is as laid-back as they come. She prefers to live life as she wants without regard to what other people think of it, a mindset she got from her father who lived the same way. The only opinion she cares about is the opinion of her sister, Lorelei. She will often do whatever it takes to make Lorelei happy and has even broken up with boys so that Lorelei could be happy. She doesn't understand Lorelei's need to dress her up considering how she knows Lorelei feels about her own beauty. Still, her sister is the most important person in her life, so what can she do? To other people, Ada is distant, but not reserved. She will talk to others but won't form very deep relationships with other people. To some, it looks like she is social butterfly, to others... they might see the distance that she herself puts on others. She does not stick to one social group and instead flocks from one to the other, knowing that if she stays in one too long, she might get stuck. She also often speaks as if very bored and loves to put sarcasm to good use, though people may not like it.

History: Born the other half of a set, Ada is accustomed to life with her twin sister, Lorelei. They both grew up in a warm home and Ada could never complain for anything. However, there was once a time when Ada was a very happy and outgoing girl who made many close friends. That was ruined when she found out about their betrayal. Rumors had been going around about Ada in middle school, things like being adopted or having a child at a young age, sleeping around with the teachers. It didn't bother her too much but when she overheard her friends snickering about how they'd started it all, Ada went off the deep end. She attacked her former friends and was sent to the principal's office (after winning, of course.) and was put on suspension for a few days. After a talking to from her parents, Ada became a rather quiet child. She didn't talk to anyone and she never responded. She only spoke to Lorelei who, it seemed, was the only one who managed to pull the poor blonde child out of her funk. By the middle of high school, Ada was back to talking with people again and seemed genuinely happy.

Now, in college with her sister of all people (She can't seem to get away, not that she wants to), Ada hears the familiar sound of her sister's footsteps down the hall of their dorm. With a heavy sigh, she lifts herself off the couch and attends to her sister who excitedly tells her off the letter she'd just received in the mail. Oh, and what a lovely Christmas Break it would be...

A reasonably tall man of 6'3, Troy has green eyes that tend to wander, always watching the people he is in the room with. His frame is in shape and athletic from almost daily workouts. The smell of expensive cologne follows him.

Personality: Troy tends to act very snobby, born rich, raised rich and still rich, he has no qualms acting like he is. But he's usually cool, a charismatic man with a Hollywood smile. He is a huge party animal, he tends to enjoy drinking a little too much, flirts with women that aren't his wife and has a coke problem which he blows off as nothing more than an occasional habit he has under control. He still cares about his wife, but their marriage has been on the ropes for the last couple months, in large part due to his tendency to get party too hard and not appear at home until the early morning.

History:
Troy was born into an upper class family, one of three children, all boys that his parents had. He was given a fine education, an expensive education in a private school. He was near the upper echelon of the social circles in his school days, a talented athlete as well as a great student. He ended up getting into prestigious Columbia University, which is where he met his eventual wife Maria. He fell for her the moment he laid eyes on her.

Troy ended up getting his degree and becoming a criminal defense lawyer, he then married Maria and his current life started up. A hotshot lawyer even right out of college, Troy has a reputation for his skill in his field and has made a great amount of cash off of it. When he arrived in his office he found the invitation right on his desk. Initially suspicious about the invite, he dismissed those and when he came home for the day his wife went through his jacket and found the letter. She asked him about it and he said that it was supposed to be a surprise he was going to give her.

A brunette of average height, 5'6, Maria has a striking appearance, she always tries her best to elevate that even further. Like her husband she works out almost daily, her body showing it. Her brown eyes are her most notable feature, and during the ball they will be mostly watching her husband.

Personality:
Maria isn't as much of a snob as he husband, but still isn't the nicest person. Her anger at her husband's recent antics and their unfolding marriage have made her into an almost ice queen, though she always tries to put on a face of kindness, a fake one though. She still hopes to resurrect her marriage but it's not looking too great. Internally she is about to break down.

History:
Maria, unlike her husband was born into a middle class family, an only child of two hard working parents. She focused on her schoolwork throughout her childhood, it paid off as she ended up being the valedictorian of her high school class, which paved the way for her to attend Columbia University where she met Troy. He was smitten with her right away, she wasn't exactly, but he managed to convince her to go on a date with him, which she did. After graduation she married Troy and become a psychologist.

Their marriage for the first several years was something beautiful, the two still in as love with each other as they were during college. But recently her husband started to go off the deep end with his partying, shes suspected that he had been cheating on her and that he developed a drug addiction. She found the invitation in his jacket and confronted him about it, her husband intending to go, now she only allowing him to go if she came along and kept her eye on him.

Physical Description:

Linda is tall at a height of 185cm (approximately 6"1) and weighs at 68kg (approximately 150 pounds). She long, straight chocolate brown hair and sharp judging deep brown eyes which seem to assess whom she is looking at with a judging glare.

Personality: Linda is the jealous type though she is also the type to keep a stiff upper lip and she is good at it too. She loves being in the spotlight and is very judgemental. All the same she is more intelligent then she seems and a good actor. She is not one for sympathy. It takes her a while to trust a person but once she does she is loyal and very trusting but that does not mean she won't use anything you have told her against you if you betray her trust because she will. Linda is savvy wen it come to this world and is aware that it is not a fair one. Despite her usual banters with her brother she has a soft spot when it comes to him. She is also flirty at times.

History: Lind was born into a middle class family with her two parents and her older brother, Cameron. When she was 6 she became a childhood actress and a pretty famous one at that raising her family's name and financial status. In her acting career she acquired many nominations, yet only a couple of awards, and more money then any one person would know what to do with. Yet by the time she was 15 she could no longer find any more jobs and by 17 she had become a has been almost forgotten by the movie industry. She often brags about a 'big break' but has not succeeded with one and her family are not hopeful she ever will.

Linda retrieved the letter from her front garden. It was not in the elegant white mail box which dwelled in the front yard yet it lay on the ground half hidden by the lush green grass. She had read the late and decided it was hers, it was in her garden, she didn't care if someone was now to miss out as she found it on her property. She had acquired the company of her brother, as she usually does.

Physical Description:

Cameron is significantly shorter then his sister measuring in at 160cm (5"2) yet weighs the same as her with a muscular build. He is very tanned and has kind light blue eyes unlike his sister's sharp glare. He, like his sister, has straight chocolate brown hair.

Personality: From years of living in the shadow of his younger sister he is much more reserved and likes to keep to his own company. He often finds himself deep in thought. He is intelligent and soft-spoken. He is one to keep his mouth shut and look over others with critical eye. At times he can come through as cruel hearted but is not all the cruel. He isn't, so to speak, antisocial yet he isn't very sociable either.

History: During his sister's rise to fame his family had become one of middle-class one of wealth. Cameron was often in the shadows but didn't mind he preferred it that way at times. He left home only 2 months after his 18th, while he was completing his senior year. He then moved onto university where he took a teaching degree. From there he had acquired a job at the local university as an English lecturer. His sister had left him a small sum of money to live off but the majority of his funds are from working.

When he was 26 he got married to one of his colleagues whom, currently, is pregnant with his first child.

Physical Description: At 4'10 and 100 lb, Erica is extremely short and often mistaken for a child from afar. The roundness of her face doesn't help. She has gray eyes and mousy brown hair cut into a short pixie cut. She wears a dark grey pant suit with a white shirt and a silver tie.

Personality: Erica rarely speaks a word, which can be quite exasperating to those around her. She's not shy, but usually finds talking to be an annoyance. She enjoys watching people, and even interacting with them, so long as they can put up with her silence.

History: Erica grew up as an only child in a middle-class family in a small town. She recently graduated from college with a degree in computer science and found a job in a small company across the country from where she grew up.
Alden approached her one day at the office with an envelope bearing her name. He had found the invitation on his desk, probably set there by accident. She didn't know what it could possibly be, or how it could have made it to her new job. After some unfruitful Internet research, she was intrigued, but not convinced it wasn't some sort of scam. The next day, she handed the invitation back to Alden to see what he thought. He took it as an invitation to be her "+1". She decided she wouldn't correct him, and instead attend the event.

Physical Description: Alden has dark brown hair and brown eyes. He has a strong jawline softened by some light stubble. He wears a cheap black suit, completed by a white shirt and black tie.

Personality: Alden, or Denn, as most people call him, is a very easygoing person. He's not a extremely chatty, but he does enjoy friendly conversation and has a cheeky side that comes out occasionally. He doesn't like to talk or think about the past, instead plowing forward in life with determination.

History: Alden grew up in a poor family, but he taught himself how to code as a teenager, hacking away at night after his shift at whatever job or jobs he had at the time. He eventually shifted to freelance web development before landing a full-time job as a developer. He knows Erica from his office at that job, where he's been working for two years now. He sort of took the tiny woman under his wing when she arrived at his company. He calls her "Rica" for some reason. She invited him to the ball after he'd found the invitation mistakenly set on his desk, and he was intrigued. He saw no reason to refuse.

Physical Description:

Jonny is a little short, standing at 5 ft 11, however only by an inch or so and so it’s not really that noticeable He is quite broad also and not stick thin. His build is quite toned on his legs and arms whilst being broad everywhere else, though still slim. His hair is a dirty blonde that is a medium length and curls around his ears. His face is broad also but his jaw bone is well defined, though you couldn’t tell as he has grown a well-trimmed full beard. His beard is darker than the hair on his head and so is more noticeable but doesn’t look out of place. His skin is quite tanned on his arms and face however is paler under the areas he normally keeps covered up. Jonny’s nose is a little off though, having been broken when he was younger it has a slight kink in it.

Personality: Jonny is certainly the more fun loving of the two brothers. He spends most of his days relaxing and being a regular socialite. As such he takes very little as seriously as he should and is constantly looking for fun, even if it means some pretty serious danger. Whilst living amongst wealth Jonny has never really been all that in love with it and, as such, isn’t stuck up. He knows his wealth doesn’t make him a good person which is why he is incredibly loyal and trustworthy. He doesn’t like fake people and it is the only thing he finds distressing in his life, that he is surrounded by so many fake people. He also prides himself on being able to convince his brother to stop being a stick in the mud.

History:Jonny was born two and a half years after his brother. As such they were a close enough age that they played together, enjoying each other’s company, however Oliver was old enough that Jonny desperately looked up to him. Whilst Oliver was committed to school though, Jonny was not. On more than one occasion their father would be called into the offices to answer for questions on Jonny’s whereabouts and his behaviour towards other students. It wasn’t that Jonny was a bad kid, he just didn’t enjoy school and knew that his brother would take over the family business anyway. As the pair grew older Jonny found he had more and more sway over his brother and the two were practically inseparable in high school.
The brothers even went to the same university, however this was where they split up slightly more. Jonny spent his time in university chasing girls and partying until the morning hours. Meanwhile Oliver spent his time revising and building up his knowledge of law. When Jonny left university his brother had established their family law firm even more strongly in the small amount of time he had had ahead. Whilst Jonny lived on the percentage of the business he owned he spent his time partying and spending to his heart’s content. This changed when their father died.
Their mother had died giving birth to Jonny and whilst nobody in the family blamed him, their father never recovered. The death of their father brought the two brothers back together and Jonny took up a job in the firm doing some filing work. It was a meagre pay, though Jonny still had the money from ownership, but it helped Oliver out and the brothers have grown closer. It was when a strange invitation arrived in the paperwork, on a stack of tax forms from out of the blue, that Jonny found out he had been invited. The only person he even thought of taking was Oliver and so the two of them arranged schedules and bought their outfits.

Physical Description:

Ollie is taller than his brother, at 6 ft 3, but is a lot thinner. He does not nearly carry the weigth his brother does and his limbs are more like twigs than appendages. He is not unhealthy, he does eat, just no matter how much he eats he doesn’t seem to gain weight. His black hair is cut short and slicked back to reveal perfect skin. He does not let a shred of facial hair appear anywhere and is quite pale. His face is longer than his brothers and much sharper however they have the same emerald green eyes, though Ollie’s have a pair of glasses in front of them.

Personality: Ollie is a lot more serious than his brother. Having been revered as the ‘man to take over the family business’ he has always worked hard, forgoing his own love interests and social life to make sure he was smart enough. He doesn’t get crude humour that much but does enjoy more highbrow humour. He knows how to behave in social occasions and whilst normally tries to hold back his brother, occasionally joins in with some tom foolery as a respite from the dull, but well paid work.

History: Ollie always loved his little brother from the day he was born, despite such tragic circumstances. Playfully nicknaming him JJ for his first and middle name. When they were young Ollie always looked out for Jonny, however he never let that take away from his studies and whilst they were growing up Ollie made it his duty to drag Jonny to at least fair grades.
At university Ollie actually started seeing someone, a girl after his own heart who worked hard rather than played. This was one of the reasons the brothers grew apart however the relationship soon broke down and Ollie was too wrapped up in his law degree to repair the bridge. After being top of his class Ollie took over the firm, their father retiring to enjoy his last years. When their father did eventually pass away Ollie used it as a chance to bring his brother back into the fold and gave him a small job in a way to target his brother at something constructive. When his brother brought forward the invitation Ollie was hurt at first, why had they invited his much less upstanding brother over him? But he soon forgave any infraction and merey looked forward to some time away from the business.

Personality:
Muriel is a vivacious older woman with a large personality and loves to be the center of attention. She is loud and gregarious, and can be charming at times and at others appear overbearing, arrogant busybody. She can come off as being selfish and self centered, but she means well and truly does think highly of others and hold them in high regard.

History: Widow of one Beauregard Rousseau, the man had been a consummate bachelor and well into his fifties when he fell to the womanly wiles of his young secretary one Muriel Greenwood. Despite the scandal of being caught in a romance with a significantly younger woman, Beauregard was deeply in love and asked for her hand.
Muriel found herself married into a life of wealth and luxury, and found that it suited her very well. No expense was spared, no trinket to lavish for Beau in his display of his love for her. And when she finally gave him his long desired child, his only daughter Tatiana, he continued to shower them both with affection until the day he died. Which happened near ten years after at the old age of 78 when he finally passed in his sleep.
With Beauregard's will he left the larger portion of his estate to his wife and daughter, so that they would continue to be well taken care of now that he was gone. Although she loved Beau very much Muriel now found herself a wealthy widow at the age of 45, with her young twelve year old daughter at her side... and the attention bestowed upon her had changed significantly. Instead of scandal, people saw opportunity and soon young men were flocking to Muriel's side to shower her with attention, affection, and volunteer to be little Tatiana's father figure.
Muriel has yet to settle down with another man, few men she meets can hold a candle to her Beauregard's cherished memory, but she is also not shy about displaying affection herself and thrives on being in the center of attention. She is also not shy about pushing her wallflower daughter into social situations in hopes that she will meet a fine young man herself. Which is why when she received the invitation to the Acheson Family's Winter Ball in the mail, she lept at the chance to dress up her little girl and take her out for a night of dancing and 'hopefully' romance, not that she's nagging but she wants grandchildren eventually.

Personality:
Tatiana is a quiet and reserved young lady with a strong independent nature. She does not like public speaking or large crowds, and is very uncomfortable in most of the socialite circles her mother frequents. This not a sign of a lack of self confidence or self worth, as Tatiana is very confident and articulate on a one-on-one basis or in familiar surroundings where she feels comfortable. In such situations she can even prove herself to be quite clever and witty, but she is above all an introvert, and quite a wallflower much to her mother's dismay.

History:
Tatiana was born into a life of love, happiness, wealth and luxury. For how much her parents showered her with love and affection, wanting for nothing, she could have grown up to be a singularly spoiled and bratty child, however that was not the case. Instead Tatiana grew up to be an extremely sweet and timid child, preferring to stay home and pursue quiet indoor play that explored her creativity. She loved to read and paint and play music and was terribly frightened around large crowds which became largely apparent when her mother would try and show off her lovely and talented daughter. Tatiana would become shy and consumed with stage fright that would reduce her to tears when having to endure what would feel like a thousand staring eyes for longer than a few minutes.
Her mother often claimed it to be a phase, and that she would grow out of it in time. She continually pushed Tatiana to take pride in her accomplishments, not understanding that she was already plenty proud and did not need the approval of others to know if she had done well. Still, no matter how she argued her case her mother just could not understand her, fearing her beloved daughter would waste away as a shut in hermitess.
She has since become resigned to her mother trotting her out to some social gathering or another, and trying to foist her off onto some available young man. She has no problem with the men her mother finds for her really, she just does not like being forced into situations where she is uncomfortable and having to 'make nice' with strangers. With the Invitation to the Acheson Family's Winter Ball, Tatiana has braced herself for another tedious mind numbingly boring dance sparse with moments of agonizing anxiety as her mother drags her around to 'mingle'.

Personality: This guy is a regular ladies man. Charming and respectable, Kest is a creature of the social world. He enjoys parties and going out with large groups. When relaxing at home with close friends, he shows his kindness and loving tenderness. This is all offset by his sharp business sense and sharper tongue. He will state his mind without a care to how it effects strangers and defends the truth no matter what.

History: Kest was born to a very wealthy family and was first in line to take over the family business: Pierce International, inc., a factory that produces parts for airplanes. He resented the responsibility and made it very clear to his father that he did NOT want to hold that position.
They went to a convention out in the country, Kest sulked the entire time. He sulked most of the duration of the tornado that wrecked several homes in the rural area. The girl he met, however was a genuine spark of delight and they became fast friends.
After Kest and his father left the farm, he kept in contact with Odette through letters. Despite their distance, the two of them remained close through the written word. That all changed four years later when his father passed away and he was required to take over the business. He became so busy he had no time to write to his friend.
At the age of 24, Kest became one of the most successful business men of his generation. The aero-foundry boomed and everything was going right with his life. One day, a letter arrived at his office, inviting him to a party. The first person he thought of was Odette. He hadnt seen her in eight years.. perhaps it was time for a reunion.

Physical Description:

Personality: Initially shy, Odette opens up to show an outgoing and personable attitude once you get to know her. She is extremely independent and sometimes a little hard headed, but she tries her best to understand what is going on in the world around her.

History: Odette was born to a poor family of farmers. Her childhood was fairly normal, and she spent most of her time out and about getting dirty and tracking mud and stray animals through her home. As she grew older, it was expected she would stay and run the farm after her parents passed away. While she had her own plans for her future, she couldn't just leave her family.
Just before her 15th birthday there was a storm brewing and a tornado warning was issued. While Odette's parents prepared the storm cellar, someone knocked on their door. It was an older gentleman with his son. They had been caught in the muddy roads and were asking for shelter. Not a moment later, tornado sirens went off in town. Not one to leave anyone to face their fate alone, her parents offered the strangers safe harbor in the cellar with them.
Together, they spent three days hiding from the weather. The man was respectful and kind to her parents while the boy kept to himself most of the time, eating alone. His father claimed he wad just upset with their situation and it was best to leave him be. Odette, however was not sure anyone should be lonely in a storm cellar so she sat down next to him and made an awful joke about the weather. He looked at her quizzically before smiling and introducing himself as Kest Pierce. The two of them spent the rest of the third day chattering away, finding they had a lot in common.
When the storm finally passed, the two families emerged to find the storm had blown away everything her parents owned. Kest's father reassured them he would take care of everything to repay them for their kindness.
A couple weeks later, Odette received a letter from Kest. The exchanged letters for four years. One day, he simply stopped writing and she went on with her life. Her parents decided the farm life was suffocating their daughter. They gave her all the money they had saved and sent her off to college. At first, she had no idea what she wanted to do with herself, but in sudden inspiration, she sat in on a graphic design class. Finding her motivation, she immediately enrolled to get her degree.
Odette spent four years studying graphic design and was considered something of prodigy. The day she left college, she went back home to visit her family. To her surprise, she was also greeted by someone she never expected to see again. Kest had been in contact with her parents and made arrangements to see her. After spending the day catching up, Kest asked Odette to be his +1 to a party and she immediately accepted.

Companion: Agrus Grau

Physical Description: A rather tall, fairly thin young man. Garen has sharp, intelligent that eyes are a slightly yellowish green, while his face is narrow and pointed. He has deep brown hair, cut short but messy, and wears a simple black tuxedo with cobalt blue bowtie

Personality: Very polite but uses informal wording when speaking. Garen is less inclined towards the darker side of humanity than many of his contemporaries, instead enjoying playing with the positive emotions within his writings to instill a sense of wrongness or fear. In spite of his skill in playing with the emotions of his readers, he is quite a poor conversationalist, becoming easily withdrawn into his own thought and sometimes seeming to entirely drift off into some other plane of thought. Some tabloid magazines report that he is being tested for some mental illness, though the accuracy of these claims remains unknown

History: Born into an ordinary family, Garen always loved books over interacting with other children. Particularly his mother’s collection of classic horror, psychological and occult tales inspired his imagination, but it was in the atypical, the postmodern and scientific creations that truly made him want to write for a living. During his early childhood he spent much time hanging around his similarly aged cousins, reading nearby while they played together. He occasionally joined in, but was usually the first to lose in sports and physical games. The four cousins drifted apart in the later years of their childhood as two of them had to move away, except himself and Agrus who continued to keep contact throughout high-school despite attending different schools. Garen graduated with high marks across the academic classes.
He wrote his first published book when he was sixteen, which while it didn’t fail never amounted to much, and has never stopped writing since. His first hit book was an occult horror novel set in the near future, that rapidly spiraled into the list of best selling books across the spectrum. His crowning moment so far has been the most recent publication, a tale of a man trapped in a paradise world that is slowly collapsing around him, like a program starting to fail, and only he notices the small inconsistencies that start to build up. In the second half of the book, the problems start vanishing and fixing themselves when he tries to catalogue them and point them out to others. The book ends with the world running smoothly again, and the protagonist being left paranoid about the world around him.
Garen’s invitation arrived in the mail, encased in an envelope from his publisher. Research into the name on the invitation led him to find the Acheson name is the primary stockholder for his publisher. He felt obligated to attend, despite not usually being one for social functions.

Name: Agrus Grau

Age: 26

Companion: Garen Waldgrun

Physical Description: Short and extremely wiry, Agrus has blood red hair. It is naturally quite curly but he prefers to keep it in dreadlocks that reach the base of his neck, disliking the default state. He has piercing green eyes with a somewhat predatory look to them and and oval face with smooth but strong, almost serpentine features. He wears black slacks and a white button down shirt with a dark brown vest and no tie.

Personality: Somewhat notorious for his bad attitude, he almost always ends up threatening people at some point, despite rarely acting upon it. Agrus has a reputation in his usual circle as remaining eerily calm even in the midst of heated arguments, and at times almost emotionless during a fight. In spite of this, he is quite outgoing and sociable, able to play nice extraordinarily well in formal events, although he makes it quite obvious when he is angry, betraying his mood through body language more than words or actions.

History: Part of a large family that were well enough off to never need for much. Agrus had a bad habit of getting into fist fights that started at a young age, most of which he started himself. He never seemed to come home with any bruises due to his natural agility. He spent much of his free time when he wasn’t fighting other kids with his three cousins, mostly gravitating towards Garen as they got older, who he considers his best friend. As the four become older, two of them had to move away, though Garen and Agrus still lived near each other during their high school years.
It was in his senior year that he was recruited from a local MMA club by a major promoter, and he rose through the ranks astoundingly quickly. He is on the firm belief that it was his own natural skill and harsh training that facilitated the quick rise to the top, harshly shutting down anyone who tries to suggest otherwise. He held the featherweight title for nearly a decade before deciding to retire from the sport while he was ahead and still able to function without the help of a machine. Having saved most of his prize money by living in basic and humble accommodations and not splurging on unnecessary objects, he has just enough money put away to live comfortably for years to come.
Recently, Agrus received a call from his cousin Garen, who was now a well known author, inviting him to attend as his cousin’s plus one to a fairly exclusive social event. Never one to avoid the limelight, he accepted.
