Hello everyone! Anyone interested in a Mana Khemia style roleplay? For those who haven't played an Atelier series game, this roleplay will be a school themed roleplay with a heavy focus on character interactions. I wrote this OOC a long time ago on another site but I wanted to bring it back with a fresh look.
Mana Khemia: Forbidden Awakening
Mana, the father of power, the mother of life, the source of all nature
Those who wish to enter these halls must pledge
To uphold the sacred tenants of Lilith, the origin of all that exists.
To honor this pledge go forth and pursue knowledge and go beyond your limits
Thus is the decree of our founder Al-Revis
Background:
The world you are about to enter is inhabited with races of all different shapes and sizes. From the smallest cutest creatures known as the punis to extremely large bloodthirsty dragons all these races must co-exist with one another. A long time ago a human discovered a being known as a mana. A hidden being that rarely appears. The mana at first was hesitant of the human but eventually they formed a friendship. With the combined power of both a himself and the mana, this human was able to combine items into new ones a process that would revolutionize the world. Soon alchemy became very popular as many more humans have found mana and formed pacts with them. While some alchemists used their abilities to benefit society such as creating medicines and panceas others used the power to create weapons, bombs and poisons. Recipes were created to document the creation of these objects so that others can also use the benefits of alchemy. With the spread of alchemy there became a need to teach the proper way to use alchemy and thus Alchemy academies were created.
When it seemed like the boom of alchemy would never fade a horrible incident occurred. A human and mana fell in love and had a child. The mana who had the child disappeared without a trace and the half-mana was an outcast and ashamed of who it was. The kings of the mana world decided to cut off the mana world from the mortal realm forever and thus started the fall of alchemy. When it seemed like alchemy would be lost forever students from Al-Revis academy was able to prove that human and mana can co-exist with one another and prevented the fall of the science this civilization was based upon.
Story:
The events in this roleplay will take place approximately fifty years after the events stated in the background.
Thanks to the efforts of alumni from the prestigious academy known as Al-Revis the collapse of Alchemy was averted and alchemy is now thriving once again in the world. Mana was now free to do as they pleased. This prosperity between humans and mana continued but peace doesn’t last forever. Somewhere far beyond the reach of humans and mana a being that was meant to sleep for all eternity was about to awaken.
A new school year was about to begin but strange events have been occurring around the campus. Buildings mysteriously collapsing, strange lands have been appearing as well as the weather patterns becoming very unpredictable. Despite all this school must still continue as students compete amongst themselves for the top grades and to determine who the best of the best at the academy is. Within the struggles of the students and the harsh lessons the teachers provide can the students find out the cause of the mysterious occurrences before the entire school is destroyed?

Humans and beastmen are very common in this major.
Alchemy is the process of combining various materials into a cauldron and following an exact recipe to create a brand new item.
