Character Name: Silverwind Blade

Age: 44

Species: Red Fox

Appearance:
Around 5' 9", and solidly built. Muscular, but not a powerhouse; more of a stamina vs. power build. Obviously keeps physically fit and active. Fur has dulled to a rusty colour with age, and his white has become a little less brilliant with age. Grey around the muzzle, and his brown hair has white and grey streaks in it.
Only one eye; warm, brown and occasionally twinkles with mischief, humour and especially determination. Still looks young, in the rest of his face. His left eye is gone, and is instead at the middle of a pattern of rough and crude scars. Normally, it's covered by a black leather patch. Small nicks and notches on his muzzle on the same side, and a little cut out of his left ear too.
Left arm is also gone, replaced by a cybernetic prosthesis that exactly mimics the originals' range of movement and sense of touch, but is obviously not real, made of synthetic plastic materials and artificial muscle and nerve fibers. It is coloured black-and-white, and has no hidden gizmos or gadgets: it's a replacement, not an enhancement.
Wears practical, functional clothing, but has an eye on what he likes. Often wears BDU-cut trousers even when not on duty; just not in camouflage colours. Boots of some kind instead of sneakers etc. Likes T-Shirts and work shirts.
On duty, normally wears BDU pants in an appropriate camo pattern for the area, with either a BDU shirt with the sleeves removed, or a T-shirt with no sleeves, fingerless tactical gloves, and an equipment harness. His PADD is strapped to his right forearm in a ballistic nylon case for easy access. He sometimes wears a Shemagh-type black-and-white scarf around his neck as well.

Personality:
Despite his gruff voice and weathered look, Silverwind is a pretty nice guy. He's had some tough times - quite obviously - and met some terrible people, but he's also seen the best of what Arvaran's - of any nationality - can do to help one another, which he finds inspiring.
He is dedicated to the idea of doing better, and trying to help those who can't help themselves, and while a man of strong morals and good nature, he is not naive or a pushover, and will not easily forgive and forget those who make others suffer, and will often make sure that they reap what they have sown. Especially those he cares about, or are unable to defend themselves. He is more than cognizant of the fact that 'good people sometimes have to do bad things', to make the world better for everyone, and while a good man, 'good doesn't always mean nice'.
He is loyal and rewarding to those who are good-natured and friendly toward him and one another, and has little time for those who are unpleasant or cruel to others, and will deal with them as much as is necessary, and no further.
He values intelligence and honesty, as well as bravery, and would not ask anyone to do something he wouldn't do himself.
His personality has gotten him into trouble with LDF high command, and with various politicians he's come into contact with, but this doesn't bother him a great deal, as others who are like-minded have taken his side on more than one occasion too.
While he has a great deal of respect and faith in the discipline and organization of the LDF, and for it's regulations and protocols, he also still harbours a very ingrained independent and creative streak, and believes firmly in encouraging others to think outside of the box and develop their particular and unique talents and skills. While he frequently bends the rules or interprets them creatively, he is firmly dedicated to his oath as a soldier and the constitution of the LDF and Landren as a whole, and more so to his own moral code and beliefs in protection of the weak and innocent against those who wish to harm them.

Personal History:
Silverwind was born in a small town near the North-West border of Landren. Between the shores of the Drennian sea and the forested foothills of the Andalean Mountains, it is a land renowned for its' natural beauty, as well as it's extensive farming area.
His mother was an artist and musician, while his father was a GEAR Pilot in the LDF. He has a younger sister (two years younger) named Sabine, who is a medical technician in the General Hospital of Anteriad, one of Landren's larger cities.
Silverwind was a bit of a troublemaker at school, but mainly for getting into fights sticking up for people. He received some talks from his Dad and his Dad's friends that straightened him out a bit, but retained that edge long into his teenage years and adulthood.
His father was killed when he was around 13-14 years old, and while he was devastated - along with the rest of his family - the stories from his Dad's combat buddies of what he did inspired him to join up with the LDF, and strive to do the same.
After joining the LDF, he scored excellently in all tests and grades, but had a minor problem with authority and the specifics of his orders, but displayed courage and initiative.
He was trained as a GEAR pilot, and deployed on several tours of duty, receiving mention in messages to HQ for his actions several times in encouters with raiders and other menaces, and eventually was selected for Special Operations.
There, he excelled, and was quickly seconded to the Roughriders, one of the premier units of Special Ops in the LDF. There he met people who became his best friends. He also grew very close to Izzy, one of his colleagues in the unit.

They performed many successful operations, acting as an Arvaran equivalent of the Navy SEALs; operating with a great degree of freedom and latitude, balanced with a strong sense of pride in their unit, intense training and self-discipline, and a wide array of skill sets and expertise.
They were becoming almost too famous at one point, especially so for their distinctive GEARs, which were home to a wide array of operational test equipment and systems. However, after a mission turned bad due to a betrayal from within, the unit was disbanded. Most of the members were MIA or KIA, and the remainder all suffering from grevious wounds, either physical or psychological - or both. The remaining members kept in touch with one another as they drifted into different areas of life.
Silverwind fell into a deep depression at this time, bought both by the loss of his comrades and Izzy - who had become his lover - and due to the extent of his injuries. It was only a year ago that he recovered enough, after being headhunted by an old acquaintance in the shape of Landcruiser Captain Amanda Garrett, to spearhead a new project for the LDF.
The new unit would be a form of a QRF based around mixing types of GEAR in the same unit, and using unconventional tactics, as pioneered by the original 101st. She wanted Silverwind to lead the new group, and he agreed, after some soul-searching, and a great deal of intensive planning and strategizing with her, and other influential and trusted colleagues and comrades-in-arms.

Personal Weapons and Equipment

  • Standard LDF-issue heavy calibre revolver w/optional LAM/flashlight unit. Carried in holster on left thigh, with speedloaders on right thigh.
  • Carbine version of standard LDF Adaptable Battle Rifle with standard electronic sight and under-barrel flashlight. Optional suppressor, grenade launcher and shotgun attachments issued as needed. When carried, is clamped to a mount-point on the right of his GEAR-harness backpack, to be drawn over one shoulder.
  • Spare magazines carried on pouches down right side of GEAR pilots' harness.
  • Kukri-style machete, clamped to a harness point on the left side of his back. This is carried most of the time when expecting trouble.

Gear Name & Serial Number: SGR-96A 'Barghest'

Role: Limited-production Command-variant Special Operations multipurpose combat GEAR

Normal Loadout:
The Barghest truly embraces the 'modularity' concept of GEARs and as such has no real 'standard' loadout, as it's weapon hardpoints are designed with standardized connnectors, making outfitting the GEAR even more straightforward than normal. It's only real 'standard' weapon is it's rifle, and the onboard anti-personnel weaponry.

  • Hand-carried 20mm hypervelocity autocannon rifle. Optional under-barrel
    weapons module, can be fitted with a variety of sub-weapons for different roles:
    • Anti-armour rocket - functions as grenade launcher; single-shot
    • Flamethrower - anti-personnel/defoliant use, multiple shots
    • Shotgun, close-range anti-GEAR/vehicle weapon
    • Pile Bunker, melee-range anti-armour weapon
    Fitted as standard with flash-and-sound suppressor and enhanced mid-range sighting/target ID system for precise fire. Mags and ammo are interchangeable with the M-112-series of autocannons, and the autocannon used by the Harlock.
  • Head-mounted 7.62mm linked miniguns for anti-missile/anti-personnel use
  • Anti-infantry flechette dischargers in lower legs
  • Hand-carried anti-armour kukri-style machete, clamped to rear waist in horizontal position


Other Systems & Equipment:
  • Silent-running systems; dampen and padded joint articulation and motor systems reducing the sounds of normal GEAR operation to much lower levels.
  • IR Suppression system, as mounted on the ADM-39 Banshee, with which it is designed to work in tandem.
  • Simplified version of the ADM-39's linear frame. A less costly version of the same system that enhances overall performance, but not to the same levels. Not quite as intuitive or responsive, but still allowing a moderate performance and maneuvrability increase over standard GEAR controls

Uses semi-intelligenct algorithims to fuse sensor data from all battlefield sources and known records for a commanders overview of the battlefield, allowing for more efficient tactical control of the situation. Used only on command-variant GEARs.


Other notes:
The Barghest was developed from the MR-M-7 Rapier General Purpose GEAR, winner of the N-G-X GEAR competition to replace the Harlock-series as the LDF's next primary combat and general purpose GEAR.
While the Rapier is being slowly rolled out to GEAR units as production ramps up alongside other new GEAR variants, the Barghest was quietly developed from the baseline MR-M-7 as a Special Operations mainline GEAR to replace the multitude of modified Harlock variants then in use. The decision was made to go with a standard model, rather than the various on-spec modified units then in service, as it would mean consistency of parts, controls, and systems across the Special Operations force, rather than a grab-bag of capabilities. The shortfall - if any - could then be made up by modular equipment and systems.
The ADM-39 Banshee came out of the same program, with the Barghest being specced as the mainline combatant for the Banshee's lighter scouting role. However, the delays and teething problems with the Barghests systems meant that the GEAR is only now coming into service, and has yet to be battle-proven.
The 96A version is the squadron leaders' version of the Barghest, and incorporates better communications and data-handling equipment for efficient communications with other squad members and command.
All components on the Barghest are designed with modularity in mind, allowing for quick replacement and upgrading - potentially, with an eye to the future - of both structural components, such as the limbs, as well as onboard systems such as electronics, sensors, and power systems. This also allows for massive flexibility of the platform for a variety of roles.

Appearance

Personality: Aidan can be described with a few words: gentle, kind, practical, loyal, dedicated, introverted and self-sufficient. While he shows real passion in his work, he isn't very fond of tying any deep connections with people around him; he is socially competent, sure enough, but he prefers to keep ties with his colleagues professional, thus, his self-sufficiency doesn't necessarily cripple his ability to work in a team. He doesn't push away people that try to talk to him; he greets them with a kind, generous nature and cheeky quips.
Although he suffers from a light form of social anxiety, he manages crowds or groups of people with a half-humorous cordiality, but should the crowd be wounded people, he transforms into a medical machine. He can show empathy to those who are hurt and can lift up their spirits in any way he can. If he’s not treating the wounded and the sick in the infirmary, he’s piloting his “angry ambulance” GEAR. It’s either this, that or silently reading a book.

Personal History: Raised in poverty and civil conflict, Aidan knew hunger, hatred and violence. Although he showed an incredible detachment towards the suffering surrounding him, it affected him enough to harden his personality as he grew up aiding insurgents together with his father. He carried weapons, ammunition and supplies, earning his piece of bread and leftover rations with hard work, bruises, cuts and even one gunshot wound. When the religious conflict subsided, his family could finally move to a more calm life and away from the messy borders, but this life proved to be boring, after having to deal with such ordeals. Knowing nothing else but to fight fiercely for his own life and help others in the struggle, Aidan showed little interest in higher education, as instead, he felt the violence of war pull him back in to the fray and much like a moth drawn to a flame, his wings withered in agony as old scars reopened during military academy high school.

At one point during his boot camp, he decided to study army medicine, wishing to become a combat medic: this way he could truly recreate the childhood sensation of fighting in the civil war. Thanks to a kind high-ranking officer, Aidan was given the chance to enlist for a specialized infantry unit program: GEAR piloting. That is when the shepherd gained the passion of reading books, especially about pathology, trauma management, GEAR catalogs and technical manuals of operating several GEAR models. After twelve years of being in the military (as he joined the academy at age fourteen), Sykes finally graduated, ranking as Warrant Officer; he was capable to pilot a light-type GEAR and proudly bore several badges designating him as a trauma and medical emergency specialist. These two feats combined qualified him as a GEAR Pilot-Paramedic, “angry ambulance” as Aidan once japed.

But putting so much theory into practice was rather tough, though the shepherd proved to be most able on the field during several skirmishes. It was there, out in the wild, where he felt at home, bringing some peace to his inner turmoil. He finally felt he was normal again, that he was back in his natural habitat. Soon, he will find himself right in the grinder, something as simple as a transfer to a certain landcruiser might just change everything.

Personal Weapons and Equipment


Weapons:

    A compact and versatile personal defense weapon, inherently fitted with pistol and rifle iron sights. Aidan acquired a holographic sight matching top rail dimensions. Easy to stow away safely even in the tightest situations and sprays bullets at a scary rate-of-fire.
  • Standard LDF-issued sidearm, nothing particular about it.
  • Black Carbon Steel Tactical Knife
    A pretty blade that, hopefully, it will never serve its main purpose.


Equipment


  • Standard issue GEAR pilot overalls, one set for non-combat, another one fitted with a ballistic vest and armour pads designed to fit perfectly into the seat of a GEAR and protect the pilot from most dangers while on EVA. A pilot helmet with VitaSign Visuals software installed.
  • DATMK – Deployable Advanced Trauma Management Kit
    An advanced all-purpose emergency kit contained in a single duffle-bag-like rucksack. Capable to store copious amounts of medical equipment, such as bandages, gauzes, drugs, collapsible crutches, an emergency surgical kit, etc. What differentiates this portable hospital from the standard issue kits is the VitaSign Monitor, a PADD with included wireless electrodes that reads the vitals of up to four patients at a time; it also includes a defibrillator module and software to be installed on any advanced combat helmet that provides live optical feed from the main PADD's readings.

    Another useful piece of hardware the kit carries is the LAZARUS Automatic Chest Compression System: a strong band tied with a strap that wraps around the back of a victim and provides automated chest compression for cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures. Very useful if the medic needs to treat additional injuries or other patients; unfortunately, the kit does not carry any automated ventilation systems, thus, the active presence of an EMT remains obligatory. The mechanism works in cycles and in synchronous with the defibrillation module in such way that the LAZARUS device will stop compressing the victim's chest when an electrical charge is prepared to be administered. The kit can carry only one such device, mostly because it drains battery life quickly.

    Although it is an extremely convenient bag of resources to have in handy, it is difficult for a single person to operate with the whole kit; serious training and practice is required to hardwire muscle memory in the trainee wishing to use the DATMK effectively.
    Heavy and susceptible to extreme weather conditions, prolonged sun exposure, excessive punishment and vibrations. Battery life lasts for a week at 100% usage, but it can be recharged with a GEAR’s battery.

Gear Name & Serial Number: “Dartwing” DX-7 Mod. 3/ “Stumpy”

Appearance
Mod. 3 has a wider main body with several extra hardpoints designed to attach the Quik-Ambulance Modular Container on the back of the GEAR. Due to this modification, the GEAR is less capable in combat aspects, but it is fitted for quick insertions and exfil. Its short stature and uninteresting design makes the GEAR harder to notice on the field, a key aspect for its purpose.

Role:
DX-7 family: Hit & run assault GEAR

Mod. 3: Light hit & run, ambulance

Standard Loadout:

  • Primary - M-121 GEAR Auto-Cannon firing 20mm ammunition. Relative high rate of fire, designed for spray’n’pray tactics.
  • Right shoulder: Rocket launch pod holding a barrage of 12 missiles per launch. It holds a total of 36 70mm rockets.
  • Left shoulder: 12.7mm anti-infantry machinegun, holding 500 rounds.

Additional firepower

  • M-89 Battle Cannon, a longer GEAR Auto-Cannon for longer skirmishes. Fires 40mm rounds at a significantly lower rate.

Other Systems & Equipment:

Standard combat sensors and anti-radar measures, IR and thermal sight technology, which all in all are not very effective. The main body of the GEAR had its cockpit stripped from auxiliary and high-tech equipment to leave enough space to act as an ambulance, plus the extra space offered by the Quik-Ambulance Modular Container attached on the back of the GEAR. Once attached, the GEAR can hold up to two wounded persons, plus the corpsman-pilot. The advantage of having such a Container is that it can be easily detached from the GEAR and be transported away by other vehicles if the GEAR is unable to retreat with the wounded. Unfortunately, this leaves the GEAR open to attacks as the pilot needs to bring the GEAR to ground level, detach the container and latch to connecting doors shut. The inside of the container resembles bunk beds, leaving enough space for the pilot to maneuver the stretchers and to monitor the wounded.

The GEAR serves a supportive role if the pilot needs to leave it for tasks that require him to be on foot, becoming a stationary, auto-firing sentinel; thus, the GEAR also has an IFF protocol that very rarely engages the wrong targets. For its medical purposes, the GEAR is able to lower its main body to ground level and extend a ramp, easing patient transfer in and out of the GEAR.
For quick movement, the GEAR benefits of wheels installed in the heels of the GEAR, allowing it to travel at faster speeds, so long the surface is not riddled with potholes, boulders or other obstacles.

Other notes: The GEAR bears a series of small decals on its left shoulder, resembling a red cross on white background, a white caduceus on dark blue background and another dark blue star of life. They have all worn off and are now barely visible, as they are merging with the GEAR’s paintjob.

Character Name: Dane Abraven
Age: 22
Species: Desert Fox

Appearance: Dane is is a overall average figure in both build and height with the color tan being the dominating color to his fur. He also carries a scar on his forehead but hides it with a patrol BDU cap most of the time which is probably one of the few things unique to him aside from the crimson red eyes he had inherited from his father. What he wears varies depending on the situation, but when deployed he either wears the airman's jumpsuit or the LDF BDU but will always make sure he has his plate carrier when he is flying which is one significant thing that sets him apart from Kensington compared to the senior airman's assault vest. Oh and he loves aviators... A lot.

Personality: Dane is an overall timid and quiet individual with a variety of exceptions. In some circumstances where there is a more laid back surrounding or the higher ranks aren't present he might open up, and when he needs to talk he isn't hesitant in doing so. He usually carries that professional image though with a lot of respect for his superiors like any other soldier. On top of that he carries that brotherhood mindset with those he works with, working for their well being in his heart despite any decision he makes being bad or good. When it comes to decision making he 'usually follows orders' but always has that gut feeling deep inside with the warrior's influence being the primary factor that guides him.

Personal History: Dane was a more urban person during his childhood, experiencing the technology, the fun, and the media that surrounded him during that time. With urban society though comes it's flaws and bad parts of town which he had been exposed to for a good portion of his life. Despite having no father and a mother that was buried with her job he was always that 'good guy' on the block; fighting for the younger folks and being respectful to those who weren't total douchebags on the streets. It got him into a lot of trouble, with disciplinary referrals to even a moment where he was almost hauled off to jail and put on the books as a criminal. To society he was one of those troubled kids; a lost cause to the 'hood environment' that surrounded him.

With such a bad label and a bad neighborhood, the desert fox was dead set on proving everyone around him wrong. With his brother's words and a daily news broadcast that showed the world outside his street he soon found a drive to leave the struggle around him and become something that was more significant than some warehouse worker or some store assistant. That answer came to him in his PADD as he checked for messages. When he looked in one day he noticed an advertisement about the LDF and after weeks of contemplating he embraced the idea of being a military man but more or so the idea of being a pilot like in a movie called 'fly dogs' he had watched prior to signing up.

During training he proved to be a great fly boy and a great soldier overall, but in some cases he was cited for deviating from his orders and even defying them despite the specific action he took. With that weighing him down he was probably never going to see a decent fight in his life, that was until a request for a co-pilot came in, and supervisors with a lack of faith in the division it came from decided to just throw someone who they deemed dispensable their way. He knew it, but kept quiet about it, dead set on taking this opportunity to prove those damned supervisors wrong.

Weapons and Equipment: The co pilot carries the same pistol as Kensington with three spare clips resting in their pouches on his utility belt. Depending on the situation his equipment can vary, but if the odds are in favor and he manages to get his pack he has a smoke grenade, three flares, a minor disruption device (So to help him avoid any hostile search parties), a distress beacon, three packets of field dressing along with a morphine and epipherine autoin-jector, and food and drink to help him survive.

Confident, with a good-humoured sharp tongue, Irry is irrepressibly smart and quick-witted, as well as tremendously pro-active and practical. This is not to say that she lacks in character or compassion, or that she is unfriendly.

Personal History:
Irry is the sister of one of Silverwind's former comrades. The two met while he served with Irry's brother Marlen, in the original incarnation of the 101st Roughriders, and made good friends, and when the Roughriders were reformed, Silver requested Irry to serve alongside him due to her exceptional skills and memory, and she accepted due to the opportunity to get to know more about what happened to her brother for some closure, and to push her training and service in a different direction.

Personality: Hongli comes from an affluent, traditional noble house, and most of his mannerisms are learned from his background. He respects others that do the same, treating benevolence in kind and harboring ideals that could be comparable to chivalry. He is confident, in both himself and his GEAR, although not overbearing. Due to the circumstances of his homeland's annexation, he harbors a deeply-rooted vendetta with the Northern Empire. However, it is also difficult for him to stomach the idea of fighting enlisted Imperial soldiers that were once independent, or even from Xiguang, like himself.

Personal History: Hongli is a descendant of minor nobles of the Xiguang Principality, a small, formerly-independent nation sandwiched between the Northern Empire and the Southern Alliance. It is located west of Landren. Xiguang was forcibly annexed by the Empire just several decades ago, cutting it off from trade with the South and other independent entities. The annexation was relatively peaceful, although likely out of fear from what the Empire might do to dissidents. The power of the nobility was greatly diminished, but the houses managed to preserve some semblance of Xiguang's culture in the midst of Northern control.
However, when the purges started and the count of once-influential persons started dwindling, many started to realize it would be too dangerous to stay. The Lang House was among those that attempted to flee, and among a much smaller number that actually made it out.
When Landren's government learned of the incident, it opened up to Xiguang's refugees, granting many asylum within its borders. Hongli was among their number, who'd left everything behind to escape the Empire.
As he acclimated himself to Landren society, Hongli decided to enlist with the LDF, either with the hope of taking the fight to the North or as a way of repaying the country for taking him in. Having already served one tour of duty as an LDF pilot, he's been reassigned to the Roughriders under special circumstances.

    The VFV-6's primary armament is a Type 304 30 mm, single-barrel, dual-feed, electrically-operated autocannon developed and manufactured by South Industries Corporation (Soinco). It is electrically operated, using an external power source to cycle the weapon. It has a standard rate of fire of 200 rounds per minute, but can reach over 600 rounds per minute in an alternate fire mode. Its effective range against armored ground targets exceeds 1,500 m, while softer targets can be engaged at distances up to 4,500 m. Low-flying aerial targets can be practically engaged within 2,000 m. The VFV-6 typically carries high explosive dual purpose (HEDP) ammunition, which is capable of armor-penetration rated at 55 mm (over 2 inches) at 1,000 m and 45 mm (1.8 inches) at 2,000 m. The GEAR carries up to 1,200 rounds.
  • Mk 27 grenade launcher:
    The Wang Dynamics Mk 27 is a blowback-operated, high-velocity, fully automatic grenade launcher. It fires 40 mm high-explosive dual-purpose rounds at cyclic rate of 325 to 375 rounds per minute. Its effective range is about 1,500 m. It is recommended for safety purposes that targets fired on in combat should be at least 75 m away from friendly personnel. The ammunition has a kill radius of five meters from the point of impact, with a wound radius of fifteen meters. It is capable of penetrating 2 inches of rolled homogeneous armor with a direct hit at a 0° angle of obliquity.


Harpoint Weaponry
  • Dragoon NF-30 missile launcher:
    To combat heavier armor, the VFV-6 is equipped with two Dragoon NF-30 missile launchers. The weapon has an effective range of 4,000 m. The Dragoon missile is a fire-and-forget anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) with a tandem-charged high explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warhead. While it is capable of being fired in “fire-and-forget” mode, it can also be directed to target the top of vehicles by a “fire, observe and update” guidance mode. The VFV-6 carries six missiles.
  • Type 77 machine gun:
    The VFV-6 carries a 5.56 mm Type 77 machine gun for anti-personnel capability. It fires 850 rounds per minute and has an effective range of 1,000 m. The GEAR carries 2,000 rounds for the weapon; half in storage and the other half ready-to-fire. The weapons is affixed to a mount in the shoulder, which can carry other machine guns of higher caliber, if so desired.


Other Systems & Equipment:
  • A hallmark feature of the VFV-6 is the Integrated Helmet and Display Sighting System (IHADSS). The pilot is able to slave the primary weapon of the GEAR to their helmet, whereby they can control the tracking of the weapon through head movements.
  • The VFV-6 makes use of a new targeting and night vision system. The Modernized Target Acquisition and Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (M-TADS/PNVS) is developed by defense, security and advanced technology company Ackerman-Liao. It features infrared sensors with multiple fields of view, a TV camera, electronic zoom, target tracker and auto-boresight.
  • The GEAR is fitted with an advanced electronic warfare suite, which allows for radar warning, active radar jamming and passive radar frequency target detection and classification. The suite enhances situational awareness by marking threat locations and ranges on a virtual map, working in tandem with the Ground Fire Acquisition System (GFAS).
  • Other systems include GPS, passive infrared countermeasures and the Ground Fire Acquisition System (GFAS), which detects and targets ground-based weapons fire sources in all-light conditions within a 120° field of vision.
  • Shock absorbers and reinforced armor systems are installed in the feet and legs, meant to minimize the danger of IEDs and mines and stabilize the GEAR during high-speed maneuvers.
  • All versions of the GEAR are equipped with two smoke grenade launchers for defensive smoke screens, which can also be loaded with chaff and flares.


Other notes: The VFV-6 is among the latest developments of South Industries Corporation (Soinco), which manufactures military vehicles, machinery, optical and electronic products, firearms, ammunition and other industrial products. Before the Imperial takeover, Soinco was a frequent trading partner of Xiguang. The country now is forced to make use of less-advanced Northern assets, although the process of reverse-engineering Soinco products is based in the nation's capital.
Hongli's VFV-6 was acquired by Landren in the turmoil of the purges. As many refugees fled the country, the North sent units to chase them down. These units had not been fully reequipped with Imperial-sponsored machinery, so many were still using Soinco models. The LDF sent small incursions to escort the refugees and protect them from the Imperial units. In the process, it was able to capture several of the company's GEARs.

Character Name: Casper Sergios

Appearance: Image Link-(Imgur) standing 1.49m (4'11") and weighing 41kg (91lbs) she is much shorter than most of her comrades. Casper also has a silver stud pirceing through her tongue. (I do not have an appropriate pictures showing it.)

Personality: Casper has selfish traits with a bit of hedonistic personality mixing together, with care for friends occasionally surfacing when she wishes to give attention to certain people. Though she does so in her own special way that can make people wonder if she is being serious because of the teasing aspect of her personality.
On a deeper level she carries many insecurities that she hides behind a false bravado, she does not let this rule who she is however and only takes it as a faucet of her core personality.

Personal History: The Sergios name could be recognized because of Casper's father Karl Sergios, the man who runs and owns Zodiac arms, the weapons company responsible for more than half of Landren's military equipment. They test experimental equipment and manufacture weapons for the army.
Casper originally joined aspiring to be an aircraft pilot but was rejected because of her height, the fox was too short to fly but was just tall enough to be a GEAR pilot, that was of course after having to convince the recruitment officer that she was in fact 17 because of how short she was.
In basic it took her time to adjust, Casper was used to a pampered life living with her parents and she initially did not get along well with her sergeant and squad mates. Spending a lot of time having to pull extra chores but eventually Casper adjusted and managed to graduate basic as one of the top recruits after working her ass off to improve herself.
The hard work paid off in the end, selected to join an experimental unit of flight capable gears Casper joined a squad of aircraft pilots and ace gear pilots to use the new Nordwing model. They became part of a rapid reaction force, using the nordwing and it's ability to long jump as a fast attack squad that would cover other gear squads and infantry by flanking enemy positions.
Her time in the RRF was the first time Casper actual felt like she was part of team and she really got along with her squad mates.

Normal Loadout:
- T-83 Bolt Dual Semi Auto Cannons, 50 round Drum per cannon, Shoulder mounted. Medium range weapons with a moderate rate of fire, Fires explosive rounds tipped with shaped charges for armor penetration.
- Redox 0-02 Surpression Rifle, 300 round Drum. A rapid fire assault rifle loaded with either HE or acid laced rounds, designed to weaken and eat away at armor. Doubles as a very messy anti infantry rifle.
- Slug Rifle, Mounted on the same system as the Redox 0-02 this rifle is made for long range encounters, 10 shots per Mag, with a slow rate of fire but devastating power it is best suited for sniper combat.
- Anti Infantry machine gun, 500 round drum. Mounted atop the right forearm it uses 7.62 rounds.
- Arm Mounted Pile Driver (Right), 4 shots, A single shot weapon meant for use in close combat it is a short range hydraulic weapon that fires a 3 foot metal pole laced with acid with enough force to penetrate 8 feet of armor before being slowed down. It requires a manual reload before it can be fired again and is only effective in close range.

Other Systems & Equipment:
- Nordwing Pattern 5 Jump Jets. The integrated system that allows the Nordwind to be a flight capable GEAR, while not efficient in lifting the gear off the ground they do pack enough power to get the GEAR into the air and flying at high speed, they are more commonly used for performing long jumps making the Nordwing a very adept fast attack unit. The Thusters allow for 30 minutes of flight before putting the GEAR into reserve power.
- External UHD Battery Packs, The Nordwind has hard points for four of these, two mounted on the back of the legs and two on the integrated Jet thrusters, once spent they can be eject to reduce the weight and drag of the Gear during flight. These are a used to extent the amount of time the Nordwind can spend in the air, increasing flight time from 30 minutes to 50 minutes.
- Smoke and Chaff defense systems to aid in combating aircraft, as well as radar jamming equipment.
- Long range scanners and communications equipment to compensate for the Nordwind's fast speed, as well as night vision, thermal imaging and electronic zoom on all view ports as well as being connected to the pilot's helmet. GPS tracking systems to help locate friendly units and updated L/OS software to help with electronic warfare to prevent signal jamming.
- Heavily reinforce armor on the legs as well as heavy duty shock absorbers to allow the punishment of dropping from high altitudes when making jumps into enemy positions.
- Tear Grenade Canisters stored in the legs, they shoot out and create a cloud around the GEAR to ward off infantry and help with crowd control.

Other notes: The Nordwind is a prototype GEAR that is the solution to their weakness against aircraft, while flight time is short it gives the unit time to either get away or out maneuver a hostile aircraft. The intended use of the Nordwind was to be a support unit for Harlock squads, providing air superiority, but it was discovered that Nordwind acts much better as a fast attack unit, using the jump jets to propel itself towards the enemy after out flanking them and landing among them causing chaos, using the faster reflex time of the updated systems and close range weapons to mop up all hostiles before falling back to make another attack.

Claudia possesses a classical, elegant beauty combined with a powerful yet athletic form built to top physical condition over years of intense training. Her fur is almost entirely black despite her head of long, red hair, and she has vibrant green eyes full of determination. Her wardrobe seems to consist of nothing but BDU trousers, boots, and tank-tops, with the occasional dress uniform thrown in for good measure, thus nearly everything she wears is military standard.

Personality: An exile from a noble house and a soldier to the core, Claudia's dignity, honor and devotion to duty are without measure. Perpetually cool, collected, and deeply sarcastic, even in the heat of battle, her attitude tends to come off as overly strict or stuffy among her fellow pilots, but somewhere beneath the hardened warrior is a cultured woman with a love of music, comic books, and friendly competition, as well as a shady past that she prefers not to discuss. To put it bluntly, her past experiences have instilled in her that honor is earned, not inherited, and despises anyone born with a silver spoon in their mouth who hasn't worked to get to where they are in life. She holds everyone around her to the same high standards she holds herself to, and will gladly lay down her life for her brothers and sisters in arms, regardless of personal feelings. Her respect is hard-won, but if you win it you will win a friend for life.

Personal History: Claudia hails from the nation of Wulfram, bordering the Drennian Inland Sea not too far from Landen. Wulfram is a heavily autocratic nation with a strong sense of nationalistic pride and a proud military history. This has allowed them to remain largely independent despite more then a few incompetent rulers in their time, many of whom viewed the populace as an expendable resource. Like many loyal citizens of Wulfram, Claudia loved her country, but despised the men who ruled it. This is unfortunate considering that her family has been the ruling class in Wulfram for years and her father Johan Hildebrand reigned as supreme dictator.

Claudia was destined for an easy life of luxury thanks to her status as the princess of Wulfram, but by the time she was a teenager she hated her family so much that she would have given up everything just to get away from them. Thus when she was fifteen, she lied about her age and enlisted in the Wulframsten Heer as Claudine Jaeger, first serving as a tank driver before being reassigned as a GEAR pilot. She excelled in this role despite the infamous mechanical faults in the standard line of Wulfram GEARS and even earned the Wulfram Eagle medallion for her unit's actions at the Battle of Kyle's Ridge during the War of Zhao Succession. Johan, blissfully unaware that the decorated soldier was his own daughter, had her transferred to an elite GEAR unit more suitable for her talents and made sure she was well compensated for her service to the country. She even had a GEAR specially configured for her, courtesy of one of her older brothers, Erik Hildebrand, who shared her disdain for their family and had gone into the GEAR manufacturing business to escape their stifling influence.

Unbeknownst to Claudia, who had willingly exiled herself from politics, things were looking bad at the top. The previously mentioned War of Zhao Succession was a Pyrrhic victory that had taken a heavy toll on the armed forces and Johan Hildebrand was already busy asserting Wulfram's claim on a minor province with ties to the Southern Alliance, which many feared would cascade into a war against the Alliance which would leave Wulfram decimated. A band of military officers with dubious intentions managed to capitalize on this fear and spearheaded a military coup against the Hildebrand government. Hildebrand's family members and cronies were rounded up to be put on show trials, and Johan himself was, according to eyewitness accounts, beaten, stabbed, gunned down by a dozen assault rifles, set on fire, thrown from the balcony of his executive mansion, and fell on his own statue, which impaled him. Claudia's elite GEAR unit, meanwhile, remained faithful to the old government, and when they encountered Erik Hildebrand, who had narrowly escaped the rebellion's death squads, and learned that their squadmate was in fact the daughter of the recently deposed Johan, they agreed that they should leave as soon as possible. Thus Claudia, her brother, and a few of her surviving squadmates managed to flee across the border and into Landren territory to seek asylum as Wulfram crumbled into a chaotic civil war.

Claudia was one of many who escaped the collapse of Wulfram, and like her fellow countrymen, she was utterly shocked at how different Landren was. Whereas order and obedience were the law of the land back home, here was a new nation where prosperity and freedom was the norm, with a government that actually cared for its populace instead of sending them off to die for another useless patch of dirt. Claudia almost felt guilty for loving this new nation more then her old one, and within a few months of living there decided that there was no better way to serve her new homeland then to join the LDF. Sher served a few tours of duty before her actions and past exploits earned her a reassignment to the 101st Tactical GEAR Unit, and was given a new GEAR based heavily on the unit she used back in the Wulframsten Heer. It was awkward to say the least, but Landren was a much better nation to protect and serve, Claudia admitted.

Note: This was concept art for the GEAR unit when it was still being developed as a long-term flight unit. The manufactured models do not possess the shoulder-blade-mounted thrusters.

Role: Multi-role, Tank destroyer, hit and run assaults.
Normal Loadout:
-VSK-88: A GEAR-caliber anti-tank rifle comparable to an AT gun, built to smash through armored surfaces with extreme prejudice. The rifle is semi-automatic with an eight-round clip, but the recoil severely impedes accuracy during rapid fire. It works best at medium to long range, and is wirelessly integrated with the GEAR's optical systems for accurate targeting.
-WF-42 Jaeger: A highly adaptable selective-fire GEAR battle rifle based on a Wulfram design commonly associated with the Schwarztiger model GEARs. The 30-round magazine attached to the left side can be swapped out for a 500-round drum to let the WF-42 serve as an LMG.
-M5 Vulkan: A purely Wulfram innovation, the Vulkan is a light artillery weapon mounted on the back of the GEAR that fires barrages of incendiary rockets, six at a time. Nasty against infantry and the weaker top armor of tanks, but is very slow to reload and not very accurate.
-ZA-R "Sucker Punch": A compact rocket launcher mounted on the right forearm, which can fire high explosive and armor piercing rockets.
-12 mm Anti-Infantry machine gun: Exactly what it says on the tin. Mounted on the left forearm.
-Collapsible GEAR-sized Tomahawk: Perfect for hacking through armor.

Other Systems & Equipment:
-Smoke canisters and chaff defense systems to break line of sight and confuse enemy targeting systems. The Sucker Punch can also fire defensive flairs.
-Long range scanners and communication equipment standard to most GEARs. The sights include all the standard infrared and thermal vision for tracking heat signatures, as well as an integrated HUD for tracking critical systems and information in combat. The system used by the CHDB-34 also possesses a thermal spike detection radar, which idly scans for, locates, and alerts the user to abnormal increases in thermal energy not assigned to designated friendly targets, such as from an engine or a large gun firing off.
-Additional shock absorbers and reinforcement joints located in the arms and back to better handle the recoil of the VSK-88
-Advanced targeting system synced directly to the weapons, primarily serving as electronic scopes for the handheld weapons and a trajectory prediction system for aiming the Vulkan.

Other notes: The CHDB-34 Black Tiger model was initially a prototype GEAR designed by Kosch Industrial, designed to be a fully flight-capable anti-air GEAR. While this project turned out to be a catastrophic failure due to the limitations of the available technology, GEAR designer Erik Hildebrand retooled the initial design of the failed prototype to serve primarily in a tank-destroyer role, as the original GEAR was designed to be lightweight and maneuverable, but sturdy enough to handle the impact of repeated stress. The newly redesigned GEAR, dubbed the Panzerexoskelett Schwarztiger, was wildly successful on the battlefield, if mechanically unsound, and it entered into production during the War of Zhao Succession. After Erik Hildebrand fled to Landren with his sister, he went back into GEAR manufacturing and was employed at a high-level position at Custer Manufacturing and helped the company manufacture a newer version of the PzExsk Schwarztiger. Dubbed the CHDB-34 Black Tiger, the new design brought the model up to Landren standards and corrected many of the Wulfram version's mechanical faults, and the GEAR has served as a very reliable tank destroyer ever since. On a more personal note, Claudia's variant of the CHDB-34 Black Tiger is nicknamed Dynamo, after the main character of the Super Thunder Princess comic book series, Donna Dynamo.

Standing at 167 centimeters and weighing 69 kilograms, Bradley is a small, stocky and strong looking individual, conditioned from an upbringing on a ranch and working in the mines. He has mischievous brown eyes, dark hair pulled back into a decidedly non-regulation ponytail, and he has several scars over his body, each with its own story of how it got there.

On duty, he wears the standard LDF uniform, although during war times, he has been known to tear the sleeves off of his tunics and simply suck up the replacement costs for fresh tunics after campaigns. He wears his favorite green bandana while piloting his gear, keeping his hair out of his way and keeping comfortable during operations that typical military covers don’t provide. Off duty, he tends to gravitate towards rustic garb, including jeans, cowboy boots and hats, duster coats, and whatever shirt he fancies at the time.

Personality:

Somewhat abrasive and blunt, Ross is known to speak his mind and he carries an impressive sarcasm streak with him wherever he goes. Somewhat disdainful of “citiots”, his decidedly non-endearing term for urbanites, Ross loves all things country – except for the music. A fan of fishing, hunting, irresponsibly large and powerful vehicles, all manner of guns and explosives, drinking and a quiet life on the ranch, Ross is a colourful individual with an endless supply of stories and what he considers a pretty well-worn in life.

As a soldier, he is surprisingly on board with working with a team and once people get by his often brash mannerisms off duty, they find a surprisingly loyal and unexpectedly sympathetic individual who cares about doing his job right and proving his worth. He is dependable, tough, and more than willing to show the rookies how a real GEAR pilot gets the job done.

Personal History:
The middle child in a ranching family, Ross grew up working the field, raising cattle and game, and tending to the grub colonies that were largely his family’s primary food source. It was hard work, but rewarding, and from a young age Ross had developed a solid work-ethic of working hard during the day and developing the easygoing rural lifestyle of the region. Where some boys grew up with toys and colouring books, Ross grew up driving tractors, shooting pests, and using the ranch’s GEAR for the heavy duty lifting.

Protective of his older sister Lucy and his younger brother Kyle, Ross was one to get into several fights during his school career that landed him in hot waters with the administration quite often, but his otherwise excellent academic record often stayed their hands short of expulsion. Ross’ father, Calvin, was adamant his children took their education seriously, desiring for them an opportunity to move away from the life on the ranch. While Ross didn’t quite understand what his father was so worried about for most of his childhood, child protective services arriving under police escort one afternoon after returning from school all but turned his life upside down; his parents had been growing and selling illegal drug crops (leaving the children and hired hands to tend to most of the rest of the ranch alone while they tended to it) to at first make some extra income, especially in times of recession or drought, before getting tangled up with debts to the wrong sort of people. Being sentenced to ten years in prison, Ross’ parents were taken away and him and his siblings were sent to live in foster care, where he became disenfranchised with school and upon immediately graduating, went to work in the mines to make his own way.

After four years in the mines, Ross had afforded himself a cheap affordable apartment, a steady income, and numerous new skills as a miner, becoming proficient in blasting and drilling. He was offered a foreman position, but the Landren military had begun to catch his attention, starting with a bar fight with a bunch of off duty soldiers who talked and spent big, eventually accumulating in a fight between some of the locals, to which Ross was impressed by the army’s devotion to one another. The message was clear; wear the uniform, you’ll never face adversity alone. After a few more drinks, Ross went home with one of the local’s girls who had decided her deadbeat boyfriend wasn’t worth sticking around for, and the itch stuck. Military life wasn’t one Ross had considered before, but it would get him out of doors, something resembling respect, and he wanted to amount to something more than being a miner. Three weeks after the bar fight, a smug Ross found himself in the LDF’s local recruitment office, thinking it would be a cakewalk.

After a thoroughly brutal and trying basic training where Ross graduated around the middle of the class, much to his disappointment, Ross set his sights on GEAR training, something he would prove to be adept at, largely thanks to the familiarity of the equipment given the machine he grew up with. Setting a few local base records on the simulator, Ross would become a proficient GEAR pilot with a few combat missions under his belt. Now a corporal and a 3-year veteran of the LDF, Ross has recently requested transfer to the 101st.

A newer design in the LDF arsenal, RXV-417 Light Reconnaissance GEARs are designed as rapid deployment GEARs, often amongst the first into a battlefield to provide early intelligence and rapid assault capabilities to the often still deploying main forces of the LDF. Capable of high speeds and mobility, the RXV series is lightweight and modestly armoured, preferring to stay out of heavy scraps and utilizing the terrain better than larger GEARs can. Heavily armed for a light mech, this GEAR is proficient at ambush tactics and raids where surprise and mobility are essential factors. A well-trained and disciplined squadron of RXV pilots have been known to decimate forces much greater in number in short order, largely thanks to the machine’s modest stealth capabilities and surprising firepower. The RXV also has a largely modular weapon setup, allowing weapon hard points to be swapped out even in the field with minimal technical support, and in extreme situations, allows malfunctioning or spent weapons to be jettisoned with relative ease.

Appearance:

At 170 cm and 55 kg, Patricia's body did not suffer any modification from the intense training she partook during boot camp, but she did build her strength and agility. Her visage does't say much about her mental state as she tends to keep an emotionless expression most of the times, albeit having gentle and bright features. Even though she displays complete emotional neutrality, she has expressive golden eyes that give away the curious and intuitive characteristics of her personality. On duty, she wears standard military attire issued by her Special Ops branch, a set of navy shirts and tank tops coupled with endless pairs of olive BDU pants. Off duty, Patricia takes great care in regards to her choice of attire and accessories, making sure she looks elegant in any situation.

Personality: Highly insightful, inquisitive, quiet and frank in her choice of words, Patricia comes off as a pleasant presence due to her calm and detached demeanor, but she's not much of a conversationalist. Not that she is unable to speak or connect words together and avoid being condescending, but she does not feel the need to speak to others unless it is absolutely necessary; she is most able to keep a conversation alive and does find pleasure in conversing with others, as she can be a lovable small feline. She is known to have quite a short fuse, though. Should anything annoy her in any way, she is easy to jump up and generally become an insufferable feline. She dislikes incompetence with a passion and looses her patience quickly, especially when it affects her and her performance.

Patricia has learned to be independent, take action on her own accord, take full responsibility over her decisions and use her intuition to pull herself through most tight situations. Due to the nature of her specialization, she rarely is dependent on another teammate's support, which pushes her senses reflexes to maximum; it's here that she is most patient, preferring to face days of starvation and tension rather than someone's idiocy.

Personal History: Patricia was the only child of an upper middle-class family residing in a more civilized sector of Landren. With her mother being away on business trips for the most of her early life, Patricia picked up many of her father's passions, such as sports cars, video gaming and military GEARs; with those, she also started to show great interest in her father's field of work, him being a freelance concept designer working for several companies. He had the liberty of working at home, which influenced the development of Patricia's independent personality, her father teaching her to be self-sufficient while taking care not to spoil his little brat; her mother would come home every once and a while, which lead to a sort of distant relationship between the two. That would be aggravated by the almost inevitable conflict between the two. In a way, she did feel her absence just like any child would long for their mother, but her old man made sure she could handle herself regardless of his or her presence.

The more pleasant part of Patricia's life ended abruptly with the definitive separation of her parents, the growing distance between them finally putting their marriage to an end; due to a loophole within the legal system, Patricia ended up living the last half of her teenage years with her mother and many of her boyfriends. This change pushed her more and more towards her father's pastimes, nurturing a ravaging want to walk in her father's footsteps so that one day they would work together. During this time, Patricia picked up some tricks from her mother, appreciating her taste in attire and courtesy; those were the only two characteristics that made Patricia's mother half-decent in her eyes. This positive impression about her mother was soon erased as she made sure that Patricia's dream would be crushed by her insistence, pushing her daughter to take up a career in business instead, promising her that money and wealth were the two parameters men were most interested in, besides beauty. Seeing that there was no room for passion in her life due to her mother's constant pressure, Patricia gave up on education, on her personal life, on all of her friends and joined the military on a whim. She did not have a particular reason to do so, but she felt it was the right move. She enjoyed physical effort and she believed that this would also increase her mental fortitude, but most importantly, she would get away form her life.

Regret soon followed, but she was already halfway towards selection by then; she tried to convince herself that her father would have agreed to this decision. She would have loved to talk to him, but since the divorce, he nowhere to be found. Having that as a motivating factor, she gave her very best during boot camp, achieving high marks and remarks from her superiors; she had opted to take up GEAR piloting, knowing that her old man would beam in glee at the thought of his daughter piloting a giant robot. To her delight, she was accepted in a Spec Ops task force thanks to her performances. Years of brutal physical and mental trials made her a resilient and reliable woman, a real artist of a pilot. Once she was given her distinctive patches and decorations, Patricia was immediately drafted for a campaign with the 13th "Spectre" in the Badlands, where she had the chance to prove her innate talent and gain more respect and renown.

She met her secret significant other after being wounded in a quick ambush, she was quickly transported to a nearby military base hosting a medical company. She was instantly charmed by an eerily optimistic man with a dour sense of humour that sent shivers down her spine while allowing herself to laugh her worries away; it was weird to feel this sort of vulnerability so many years after she finished high school, especially after being trained to let no emotion escape and show no sympathy or empathy. It would seem that the woman had taken control over life once more, proving to herself that she could still make the best out of her life and enjoy what she was doing, even if it wasn't her dream. She knew that military experience would change her outlook on life entirely.

Normal Loadout:

  • M-112 20mm autocannon - A versatile compact rifle-like weapon with a moderate rate of fire and high accuracy. Patricia's model has a an under-barrel module that can act as an HE grenade launcher/rocket launcher, or take the role of an underslung shotgun. The rifle is loaded with 200 round beta mags, the GEAR carries a maximum of 6 mags.
  • Right shoulder hardpoint - Single tube multi-purpose missile launcher. The "Banshee" can carry a maximum of 6 missiles.
  • Left shoulder hardpoint - "Meteor" three-barreled gatling machinegun firing 7.62x41 mm rounds at 5000 RPM. The GEAR stores 2000 rounds in its shoulder
  • Right hip mount - GEAR scaled machete


Other Systems & Equipment:

  • The hallmark feature of the ADM-39 are the highly responsive linear frames that follow the pilot's arm and leg movement with high precision. For it to properly respond to the pilot's input, the GEAR has exemplary mobility and flexibility in its articulations, almost to the limit of an Arvaran's anatomical limits. Extensive training with this GEAR model can lead to successfully performing acrobatic maneuvers
  • Intuitive optics and display systems
  • Chest-mounted smoke/chaff/flare launchers
  • 180o rotative wheels mounted on both heels and the left "kneecap". The knee mounted wheel allows low-profile movement
  • High-end electronic warfare heuristic countermeasures, radar scrambler and somewhat effective heat sinks to disperse and lower the GEAR's thin hull temperature
  • Extra synthetic musculature and hydraulics in the calf and thigh of the GEAR designed for high power jumps, the current altitude record being 15 meters on an experimental version. Also useful for kicking.


Other notes: The 39th model from the ADM family was designed with a single purpose in mind: stealth. Rendering an entire GEAR invisible and undetectable may be considered a far-fetched goal, since invisibility technology is still in its very early stages and camouflage can only do so much; instead, the GEAR possesses a much lower sound signature and a sleek frame, sacrificing armor plating for flexibility and a less pronounced shape. The GEAR is nearly undetectable thanks to its hull shape and intelligent scramblers, making the GEAR very suitable for stealth operations under the cover of the night or extreme weather. It can hold on its own thanks to its high mobility and near-instant reaction times, but a well-placed missile can turn the fragile "Banshee" to confetti.
