"The power to change the future is in your hands..."

The land of Zephyr have been at peace for the past three-hundred years. Being rich in farmland as well as natural resources, Zephyr has long treasured its economical and political stability. One family has ruled for the last one-hundred years, and at last, it had been time for the previous king to give up his throne to allow his oldest son to become the country's leader... But the day before the crowning was supposed to happen, there was a massacre within the royal palace grounds. Every single member of the royal family, and every single guard was killed. At least, it was indicated that they were killed by the blood that painted the walls. No bodies were ever found. The only person alive was one of the king's sons, Aloysius, Since the deaths of the other royals, he has taken the throne for himself.

Ever since the day he took over, a darkness has spread throughout the kingdom. While Aloysius rules with a restrictive, iron fist, villages attempt to rebel against his rule. Strange, undead creatures have emerged and started attacking the resisting settlements. The kingdom, or at least two thirds of it, has been overtaken by fear. By now, it is clear that somehow, Aloysius is manipulating these creatures in order to keep his subjects in line...

All hope is not lost.

A resistance has began to retake land from the empire. They are lead by seven, courageous former soldiers who once served the king, and they have pledged to dethrone Aloysius once and for all. Their journey will not be without its struggles, and they need all the help that they can get.

It is up to you to join them, and attempt to reclaim the land of Zephyr.

Classes from Fire Emblem: Awakening will be available, alongside the Laguz classes.

I am figuring on this being a tabletop RP as well, regarding stats, level ups, class changes, etc.

I'd be really interested in participating, if you'd have me. Stats intrigue me, too.

Couple questions to flesh things out and get the brain juices flowing, though: What's the tone of this RP, as in will it be more happy-go-lucky or grittier? I'm assuming gritty from your premise, but Awakening had its light-hearted moments that mostly outshone the gloom of the story at large (like when Sumia decked Chrom in the face or most of the support conversations). Also, how descriptive will it be and what's its style? I was involved in a more medieval-realism one with Fire Emblem elements like the Laguz and magic, but I've seen some more fantastical ones as well.

So I looked at adachi's profile and he has not been on since he posted this thread so the likely hood of him following through it is very slim, that said I would be willing to take over the role as GM if I am given some time to come up with a good plot.

Plot I could help with, but my level of commitment will depend on how many people are playing and how fast the RP goes. Just give Adachi a little time, I'd give him a week before picking up the ball and running with it.

Possibly. We might want to refurbish the concept some and gauge interest again; maybe put up another thread? It's hard to say, in a situation like this where the GM up and disappears.

Hey I would be interested in running (or at least co-running). I have a lot of Fire Emblem rp experience, I've even made my own tabletop for use with play-by-post forums.

For anyone still interested, @Corporal Lance and I were at work concocting a new Fire Emblem RP, ironing out what story is going to take place and what mechanics we want to use. It is looking fairly robust so far, and I feel once we can finish an OOC header post to explain everything, it will turn out quite nicely.

Lemme throw out what we have so far, for the interested:

• The plot will definitely different from Adachi's so we're not stealing anyone's ideas. Might end up similar, but we're still working on that one right now.
• Classes and progression is a thing, along with the laguz, taguel, and manaketes being playable races (taguel are just fluffed laguz, for those who care). Custom class creation is also a thing, with players being assigned so many points to put in so many skills and choosing 2 weapon proficiencies of any type and then a class feature. We'll have some default classes showcased to help y'all see that in action.
• We'll have a separate Interest Check when we get the mechanics and plot down to see who still wants to play with all that we've changed.

I also wanted to pop in and take suggestions for what people wanted to see regarding general overall feel of the story (dark and depressing, high adventure, gritty war, whatever), just whatever people feel like doing or experiencing in this RP.
