never mind... I was attempting to inject some much needed humour into this overly serious RP. I was using Mikoto as an example, i could have picked any character, yours was just the first to spring to mind. I'm sorry.

... I mean, yeah, this RP is going to have and has had plenty of serious stuff. There's been some humor though, too... I mean, Mikoto was just in a slapstick scene basically, um... Katsumi's so far cheerfully cried out "Justice Kick!" in what was probably terrible English in the opening of an admittedly serious but not without funny moments fight... Everything Meowrin has done...

well Asuka and Lili are not doing ther comical stuff atm. They are rivals and friends and very serious. That is why i am refraining for now. In the future possibly.

Well, they're not attacking so much as freaking some people out.

As for the whole seriousness vs. silliness thing... I'm going to say this: Yes, the RPG has serious moments in it, and for the most part, it's serious. But that isn't to say that it doesn't have its silly moments. And I am willing to allow the silly moments, provided that they don't go too overboard and cause mood whiplash. Like, to put for an example, one post has someone dying in a heroic sacrifice, and the post right after that has two people slapping each other playfully while dressed up as cats for no explaination... Erm... I'm not sure where I'm going with this... Alright, new analogy.

If anyone has watched Kamen Rider Gaim, you'd know that while the show is very serious and dark, it doesn't go completely dark and has some funny moments too. Hell, the one guy you expect to be one of the darkest characters (basically an ex-military paratrooper who entered the Rider scene to show the kids a real fight and his armor is very spiky) turns out to be the funniest person of the bunch. That's good scaling of seriousness vs. silliness.

Bad scaling would be the Myna Bird arc of Kamen Rider Wizard. Especially the ending. If anyone's seen it, they'd know what I'm talking about.

Bravo is the best character. ^_^

While it has and will have serious moments in it...I really don't see how its been overly serious so far. John and August's interactions don't come off as overly serious, especially given how the characters COULD be acting, given the circumstances. Mio, Mikoto and Danny's scene would be going a LOT worse if the electrocution were treated seriously instead of as slapstick. The stuff with Meowrin, Anno and Raineh is...uh, definitely not coming off as overly serious (I should know, I kind of did the overly serious reaction to Meowrin's style of shenanigans in a previous RP, it looks very different and is dumb). And...well, I could go on, but um, even with the serious scenes at the moment, none of them are coming off as overly serious, to me at least.

Bravo is kind of amazing.

Um, but more seriously, um... Tachi sums it up pretty well. This RP is like a lot of other things, um, it's going to be serious but it will have plenty of comic relief and humor.

yup and with a nice balance makes for a great rp.
