All the interactions between the young people who were in the group made Apalacia’s head spin. She kind of frowned as Jericho made his announcement and shook her head at him. “Really... “ This is why they never worked out relationship wise. She crossed her arms under her chest and took a deep breath as everyone seemed to agree to go to Applalta which was fine with her. Sam and Cali ran over to sit by her feet and she reached down stroking their ears gently moving to squat between them. Her nostrils flared as she heard other people speaking of splitting up which only made her more confused as they all seemed to be deciding to go in the same direction. The entire idea of splitting up made her cringe on the inside.

“Guys really? Split up? We’re all going to the same city! Down the same road! Not to mention there are chances of us running into Northern Region soldiers, who are better armed! Better Trained! With stronger pokemon! And you want to split up? This is the worst idea I have ever heard in my life and my father one time suggested meatloaf cupcakes with caramel icing! I mean come on! This is worse than that idea!” She opened her two pokeballs and retracted the pair of Evee’s inside and pushed past Jericho and Reggie and walked straight through the little cliques everyone was trying to become. “Now come on. We’re a team! We got places to go! Pokemon to catch! And a war to end! And we’ve been screwing around for a hour. Let’s go!” Apalacia started to walk without waiting to see if everyone was following her.

In hindsight, she should have given the move more thought. When her temper was up Serenity was known for going on instinct, instincts that weren't always kind. And that problem came to the forefront as she took several fast steps forwards, grabbing Apalacia's wrist to halt her in her tracks.

"Clearly dumb ass decisions must run in your family then, but just because dear old dad isn't around to make them doesn't mean you have to volunteer. We are not a team. We are not here to 'end the war'. Our job is to stay alive long enough to train pokemon and beat at least one pokemon at every gym in the area, so that we don't get sent to the front with our partners."

Eyes glinting angrily, she pointed back at Jericho. "You clearly have not thought this through. Do you really want to travel with someone who doesn't listen to anyone else? Because you were right about one thing-- there are northern soldiers out there. And I don't want some know it all wise ass leading us into an ambush because he won't take anyone else seriously. Do you?"

Raising her voice slightly, Serenity turned to the rest of the group. "It does sound like we are all going in the same direction, and there are safety in numbers. But if we want to travel together safely as a group, we have to work together. And that means no one gets to elect themselves leader and then toss out anyone who doesn't grovel at their feet."

Reggie

Well shit, this escalated quickly. Reggie couldn't help but think, almost finding the situation humorous if not for the fact that their lives hung on the outcome of this decision. Also, as things were headed, the group would likely split because two hot heads are arguing at each other over the same point. He merely sighed at the situation, turning to Jessie with a look that said 'Ridiculous, aren't they', before he popped up two pokeballs to recall his pokemon, than turned towards Serenity, then Apalacia, then Jericho, breathing out another sigh after thinking through his response. Here goes nothing . . . fuck, I'm going to sound like such a preachy tool, aren't I?

"While the town and language of the red head's arguement had much to be desired for as a method of keeping people together, the basis is sound enough. We're all going to the same place, have little idea what the hell we're doing, are probably in for some tough times ahead, and don't have time for pointless squabbling." Reggue scratched his head before he turned to Jericho, choisong his words much less carefully this time.

"Dude, why did you expect any of us to follow you, only reason I wanted to was because I'd rather have more people around and because I wanted to make sure our mutual friend Apalacia stated safe. Like hell was I going to let any friend of mine go off into a battlezone with only one other person to watch their back. But I was never going to follow you like a little puppy, and if push came to shove, I'd knock some sense into your head if you were too simple-minded to see it. And don't say you aren't, cause only a simple-minded alpha male dickbag would think that a bunch of damn near strangers would entrust their lives to his leadership after just meeting him." Reggie's tone was calmmand neutral the entire time he spoke, betraying none of his emotions or feelings on the matter that his words didn't already show. "That being said, I'd rather be on a team eith you than without, for your sake as much as mine, so please suck up your pride and stop trying to be incharge. My dad always told me that a true leader is someone who inspires others to follow him, instead of trying to force and threaten them. That a true leader thinks about what's good for the group, not just the indivudual. Do you think you can be that type of leader, Jericho, because if so, you're going to have to prove it and earn the position."

After his lecture, Reggie walked over to be standing next to Serenity, scratching his head agaim as he turned to his audience. "Sorry for the preavhy lecture there, everybody, just felt like speaking my mind all of the sudden." Turning to the redhead, he extended his hand with a smile. "Name's Reggie, and it's nice to meet you. Also, would you not argue with Apalacia here when your both literally on the same side of the arguement. Oh, and good job to both of you for speaking out against sepating early, the rest of us were probably to distracted by our pride as men to actually speak up on that fact. So, do people want to keep argue and wasting valuable daylight, or do people want to make to Appalata town some time this year." His tone near the end was slightly mocking, but the message was clear: Calm your tits, save your arguements for the road, and lets get moving. Okay, the crudness wouldn't be clear, but the basis if the message would be.

Trystan was going to say pretty much what every one else ended up saying when all hell broke loose. Jessie tried introducing himself and asking to join up, Appalacia blew up, and he knew what was happening with Serenity as soon as she started to move. Trystan knew it was best to just let her vent. She was as fiery as the fire types she owned. Then Reggie jumped in. Trystan physically face palmed himself. He had dealt with guys like Jericho his whole life and you did not talk to them like that. Nine times out of ten it got your ass in trouble. Trystan hoped this would be one of those lucky tenth times where the asshat is impressed and backs down. For all their sakes he prayed it would be.

Trystan stepped forward patting Reggie on the back. "Thank you for that lovely speech there Reggie. I for one was truly moved, but don't make it a habit to speak for others. It might come back to bite you. Just a little pro tip." He said before turning to Serenity and Apalacia. "Now ladies before we say or do anything we may regret lets take care of this." He unlatches Serenity's hand from Apalacia's arm. "There. Now, let's all take a deep breath." He says before doing so. "This little group needs to remember we have a town depending on us as well and we are literally in the middle of it arguing like we have no sense at all." He said indicating the concerneed looks of the citizens in the sqaure around them. "Can we at least leave them with a picture to be proud of not one that reminds them they are depending on a bunch of bickering teenagers?"
