For as long as he can remember, Damian has always been the best at whatever sport he found himself participating in, whether it was as simple as bowling, or the more complex basketball. Since his emergence in grade school, Damian has been said to possess abilities and a physique that could only be seen once in a lifetime, breaking numerous state and nationwide records in a variety of Junior Athletics, resulting in effectively every High School in the United States attempting to recruit him, bringing national attention to his minuscule home town in Oklahoma.

August certainly never had to worry about money. Both his mother and father are very successful lawyers. His parents were willing to pay any price to get him into Caelbury Academy, even if it isn't exactly what their son wanted.

Personality:
August isn't really conceited, despite his parents' money. He's always been kinda down to Earth. However, he is definitely overconfident. He's a full-out Smart Alec and a master of sarcasm. He boasts his abilities, and even though he might not have many, he likes to pretend he does.

He's generally a really nice guy. He doesn't like to hurt his friends, so he does a little bit of sugar-coating when he speaks his mind around them. But when his buttons are pushed, he's quite skilled at telling people off! He can get along with most people, though is a little challenged in any kind of romantic relationship. He can be a little slow sometimes when it comes to things like that.

Good grades aren't really August's 'thing'. Not because he isn't capable of achieving them, but because he's just lazy. Instead, he focuses almost completely on swimming. He's been on a swim team his entire life and the water is where he's most comfortable. It doesn't matter where it is, how cold it is, or even if it's green and murky, August strives to swim in every pool he comes across.

He's fairly well known is the discipline department. He usually gets detention for absurd things, like the time he 'accidently' set off the indoor sprinkler systems or dyed the water in the pool red. He goes a little overboard on the whole Truth-or-Dare thing.

History:
August has no significant background story. Starting at fourth grade, he was enrolled in private school. His parents moved often, dragging him around the country, and he never really found his feet.

The Academy wasn't August's idea. He was perfectly fine going to the private schools, but his parents wanted something 'more challenging' for their son. He enrolled at the beginning of ninth grade. Although he acted upset, he was extremely excited when he heard about the Academy's swim team. They boasted about their sports programs all the time, and he couldn't wait to try out for the team. By the end of his first semester, he was considered one of the team's best swimmers.

August is an only child. He often wishes he had a brother he could get into trouble with.

Acacia Hawthorne:
“Acacia! I think she's probably one of the few people who will actually put up with me for any extended amount of time. She's really nice, and really pretty, and doesn't particularly hate me! You'd think she would, since we can be, like, complete opposites, but she's cool like that. Don't tell her, but I actually look up to her. She's always working to do better. I don't know how she keeps it up.”

Lili Lafontaine:
“I don't really know her that well. But she seems to be one of those artsy types. And she can appreciate some freedom.”

Jacob Rockwell:
“Oh, him.... He probably isn't a bad guy, but I'm pretty sure he hates my guts. I'm all for military guys, but he needs to loosen up a bit.”

Roman Zelenka:
“He kind of reminds me of the Terminator. He's one of those silent but deadly types, I guess. He's pretty cool, honestly. A few of the kids in my class say he's just a commoner, and I don't mind. But I think he'd do better if he wanted to.”

Vladimir Kalkovich:
“Oh my gosh, this guy is math's worst nightmare. I wish I could get him to do my work for me. No such luck, so far. He's real friendly, and like the same kind of music as I do.”

Rayne McCutcheon:
“That's the one with the pink hair, right? Well, it kind of matches her personality. She's all over the place, never sticking to one thing for long. She's a rebel and a loudmouth, but gets awesome grades. You get away with it when you're that smart, I guess. Overall, I guess she's pretty cool. But the one thing I can't stand is the smoking. I dunno why she'd do that, it'll ruin her lungs and she could never be a swimmer. Different priorities, I suppose.”

James McNamara:
“I'm not real sure if I like him or not. He knows everything. Psh, once, I gave him a maraca, and he was like freaking Mozart. Really, how does he do that?”

Nathan "Nate" Dixon:
“I like Nate. He's considered one of the Gifted kids 'cause of his brains when it come to computers and such. He isn't at all stuck up about it, either. He claims he's just average in other school subjects, but I still think he's really smart. He likes doing people favors. He's nice, but it always seems to me like he has something else on his mind...”

Julie Scott:
“Dude, this chic speaks languages I can't even pronounce. Czech? Where's THAT from? She could probably tell me off and I'd never even know what she was saying, hah. She seems pretty nice, though. I'm not sure if I annoy her or not, but she likes my pranks!”

Cole Grimoire:
“I dunno about him. I don't like him getting all goey-eyed over Anacia.... Plus, he ice skates with her, so.... Shut up, I am not jealous!”

“I haven't talked to him much. The few times I have, he was kind of distracted and had his nose in a book. I've heard a bunch of girls in my class sobbing about him. Dunno what that's about.”

“Well, 'out of my league' probably sums her up. But I don't really know that much about her. We're the same age, but I've been assured she a lot more grown up then I am. But whatever. Do I say 'but' to often? But but but but but! Well, anyway, I'm not sure how I feel about her.”

"She's another one of those picture perfect beauty queen types. She's real close to Acacia. But she not as nice. She thinks I'm an idiot. She's told me so a few times, actually. I don't really appreciate it - I mean, its not like I've ever gotten to get to know her. Plus, if Acacia doesn't hate me, I can't be totally awful, right?"

"A cute, bubbly little freshman. She almost all the time. Sometimes her happy expression wavers a tiny bit when one of the other popular girls walk by, but I guess she's just competitive."

Brenden Aldrin:
“Mr. Principle? He's cool. He's easy to talk to and kinda fun to be around. Plus, he hasn't expelled me yet, so I'd say we're on pretty good terms.”

Hayden Hawthorne:
“Pain in my butt. Don't laugh, he really is. I can appreciate that he wants to keep people's grades up. But he tried to get me kicked from the swim team! Not cool, man, not cool. But in the end, its kinda nice to think that he may just be looking out for me, even if he's kind of annoying.”

Flynn Zimmerman:
“I like him. But I really like his kitty! I always smuggle treats for Oedipus. Anyway, Mr. Zimmerman seems pretty laid back, and he doesn't rag on me too much the few times I've fallen asleep in his class.”

Alli Kendrick
“She says she used to be a cheerleader. I believe her. She's pretty energetic and playful. Tell no one, but I really like her history class. I have never once skipped, which is unusual for me. I try to ditch my teachers equally so they don't feel left out, but I can't ring myself to disappoint Ms. Kendrick.”
