This story will take place in Prospect NC. I have a map available to download here


I will be playing NPCs and the environment in classic GM style. I am doing this to keep the story moving and to create a sandbox enviroment wherein you can do what you want, within the limits of Prospect, NC (For now).

This will be two days into the apocalypse. Considering the volatile nature of these zombies at night I feel that's plenty enough time for things to go to hell. You can start grouped up as you wish. I don't care if you're together, but getting together should be your goal. To that end, if you wish to be grouped together from the start then feel free to pick a structure to start in and perhaps start a base (I'll let you guys pick, but there are several large or small buildings from which to choose)

Buildings are numbered and zones are labeled. If you wish to visit a house use it's designation so I know where you are i.e. Building A,1. That building would be located in Zone A and its numerical tag would be 1. (It's really self explanatory, but PM me if you have issues) If my Imgur link isn't working let me know and I can E-mail you a copy of the Map as most of the writing is quite small and would need to be magnified to view. (Its a big map)

I look forward to this. I have been GMing for several years now and I love to throw emotional curve balls.

@TheYouthPastor Ok, as I mentioned to you on a PM, I was thinking about starting in a pharmacy, looking for painkillers (and if he's lucky, cigarettes; but after seeing @Voltus_Ventus CS, it seems like Gustavo won't need that much luck.)

Also, if anyone saw today's Google Doodle (is that what it's called?) today's would have been the 56th birthday of Gustavo Cerati, who's image I used for the CS. He was a true Argentinian rock pioneer/savant and, if anyone doesn't mind listening to music in spanish, you should check out his band Soda Stereo.

@JudgeApatow Alrighty, there is a pharmacy right off of main-street at P,8.

I might check him out, he looks (and sounds) like an interesting guy.

I don't mind if Ivory is already paired up or not. She'd be scavenging for food in the closest grocery or convenience store most likely, since she would have holed herself up in her hotel room the first day.

How would the situation be right now? Two days is enough time for quite a bit to happen. Is there still power? Or was it cut? I'm sure a good portion of the items in stores and such would have been taken by now as well(?) Raiding the stores is the first thing a lot of people would do as soon as someone mentioned zombies.

Will there be any DLC maps, as the map appears to be rather small.

Also, I don't really think that two days is enough for a lot of stuff to go down, the towns would still be full of people as opposed to the much preferred desolate and I'd assume large hordes of zombies would have not yet formed.

Can I nominate this as the theme-song for the RP? Every good RP needs a theme-song.

@Kieran The stores wouldn't be hit too hard simply because everything went to hell so fast. Those that survived would have taken things, and people would have stocked up amidst the paranoia but generally there wont be a lot of problems initially finding supplies as most places will have plenty enough for your group of three. There is a dollar general at O,7 and a local grocery store at S,3. Take your pick.

@Voltus_Ventus If these were vanilla walkers then I might agree. The CDC didn't want to treat what could potentially be just an illness like a hollywood zombie apocalypse, so the undead were gathered for treatment rather than destroyed on the first day. Due to the extremely volatile nature of the undead at night (Think just a little tamer than War Z) That first night wiped out a sizable portion of the population worldwide. There are few survivors here in Prospect. Most are dead or turned. It's been two days, so that means its been two nights and if you make too much noise at night you can get a whole group killed. For that reason I'm saying that things are pretty bad already. I plan to add more maps as they are needed, but there will be plenty to do here for the time being. (This one took me 3 hours to edit)
