Avatar: Kalem the Cycle Lord, and avatar of Sheesha the Goddess of Conception. It is said that Kalem is the gatekeeper to the circle of life, wherein life is continuously born anew. Traditional depictions of the Cycle Lord cast him as a giant serpent with four arms, carrying a crown of skulls upon his head.

People worship Kalem so that he can continue to guard the sacred life cycle.

Appearance: Saamir has a hawked nose, brown eyes and heavily tanned skin. He wears the same tattered garments as the rest of the farmhands, and doesn't seem to carry anything of any note. His hair his jet black, very thick and has grown down to the base of his neck. A light beard obscures the bottom half of his face, but is kept trim enough to allow others to see his rigid jawline.

He carries a malnourished build, giving one the opinion that he often skips meals, however enlarged muscles from a life working the fields cling to his bone structure.

Current Equipment: The tattered rags on his back, and a sickle.

Handy Skills: Can horse ride on a basic level, but should not be considered an advanced rider. Also, he can read! Has some knowledge of blacksmithing, but is effectively an amateur at it.

Personality at RP's Start: Devout believer of Sheesha, and therefore frustratingly calm about most matters. He holds no open discriminations against anyone, regardless of race, gender or age. He tends to smile a great deal when talking, as if trying to ease the people he's talking to into believing that he is genuinely a nice guy. He can be very slow to anger, but at the same time, does not allow much room for heresy, and will not allow peers to insult Sheesha or her avatars.

  • His family originates from Elastor, a desert realm hundreds of miles to the east, though he was born in Ashuran.
  • Saamir's mother passed away at his birth.
  • He has no brothers or sisters.
  • He has a father, Arak, who is Cowfallow's blacksmith.

  • Saamir is only planning on being a farmhand until he can save enough coin to buy his own blacksmithing tools, and then he will join his father at the forge.
  • He almost killed a man when he was drunk on ale, and hasn't drank since. Happened a few years ago.

Appearance: Horace has light brown hair, shaved low to his head, to match the same, thin beard, reaching from just under his nose, now growing, a little to close for his liking, to his under jaw. His muscles are a little bigger than average size, because of not only his work in the fields, but his training afterwards. Facts Likely Known To Others: His father died to protect him from the green-skins when he was a child, and he has rage built up from that to take out on them. He has a brother, who always one upped him at everything, and was the first to take his leave on a journey. He has a knick for swordsmanship.

Avatar: The Rat. Mill follows The Rat because he believes that there will always be a struggle for life, but that ultimately life will not change. Maybe the humans will push back the orcs, but the orcs will return someday. Or maybe the orcs will triumph, but in the end humans will rise back up and drive them out. There may be temporary victories, but nothing will truly change in the end.

Appearance: Mill is tall and gaunt with a perpetual forlorn look on his face. He has black that is roughly cut short and blue eyes. He wears a white work shirt with a brown leather vest over it. He also wears brown leggings and thick boots. He is somewhat muscular, but not as much as some of the other farmhands.

Current Equipment: Besides his work clothes Mill is only carrying the scythe he was using to cut wheat, he owns a bow and a few arrows but they are at his house. He also has a pendent shaped like the avatar he worships, The Rat.

Handy Skills: Mill has some experience with tanning and leather work, as well as carving and fletching.

Personality at RP's Start: Mill is a glum person in general. He tends to be very pessimistic and is usually the first to point out how something could go wrong. Despite this, he can be a good and loyal friend, and he is not the type to leave someone behind. Furthermore, as a follower of The Rat and Fala, he believes that the Orc invasion is just as futile as the human defense, which in his mind puts them on equal footing. Also due to his belief that life has no deep meaning, he is often the first to volunteer for any suicidal plan or action since living or dying makes no difference to him.

Facts Likely Known To Others: Mill is not generally very talkative, but having worked with the others for some time they have come to know him fairly well. They know he is not a good person to talk to if they need cheering up and that he tends to depress people unintentionally. However, they also know that he is a good person overall and that he works hard to support his younger sister, who is a follower of an avatar of Magmehn and is the complete opposite of Mill.

Personality at RP's Start: Gnorlin has become rather shy due to all his failings in the past. He tends to avoid people, as they only make fun of him. But oh boy... If something succeeds (or when he had too much to drink), you'll never hear the end of him.
Before he started failing at every job that was human-... gnomely possible, he was a cheerful lad, full of potential and laughter.

Personality at RP's Start: Hogun comes off as a learned yet eloquently spoken mad man. His macabre, and often unintentional, form of humor is conveyed with such sincerity that it’s hard to tell when/if he’s joking. Prepare to get awkwardly caught in the throes of topics you never cared about, nor wanted to discuss in any sort of capacity. Despite an otherwise off-putting first impression he may convey to newcomers, he is a hoot to have around in social gatherings. His storytelling is truly engaging – so much so that he’s had to tone it down after last year’s festival. To this day, The tale of Bishan’s Screaming Child on Blood Orgy Mountain is a prime cause for many of the children's nightmares.

Facts Likely Known To Others: It is common knowledge that a young Hogun was part of a commune devoted to the spiritual and practical study of magic called The Whisperers. Hogun lets it be known that magic exists and that he could have been a grand mage if not for his dabbling in the dark arts. According to Hogun, he botched a conjuring ritual where he sacrificed what turned out to be a sacred lamb. A high level archmage stripped away his magical powers and threw him out of the commune. It turns out that The Whisperers were infamously known throughout the land as traveling con artists. They tricked their followers into believing they could summon mystical powers – all for a one time hefty sum of coin. It also turns out that the archmage that banned Hogun from the commune was a wanted criminal named Spiltz Fonzworth. A common detail that is described in most of Fonzworth’s wanted posters is that he is usually seen with a black lamb. I think you can see where this is going. Hogun received no refund for his enrollment fees into The Whisperers.

He was married to an elephantian (elephant humanoid) named Letra, a Cowfallow native who died while giving birth to their only son, Truxis. He is 11 years old.

Personality at RP's Start: Thekk is something of a loner. He doesn't talk much because he is rarely talked to. He harbors bitter resentment for a life he had no choice in forming and aspires to be known for something beyond his means of conception.

Facts Likely Known To Others: Thekk is a bastard (hence the lack of surname). Not just any bastard, but one belonging to a rich landowner in the village. Though not accepted as a full member of his father's family, he has modest quarters among his father's homestead. He "earns" his stay by working his father's fields and stables. His illegitimacy caused something of a scandal among the village at the time of his birth, and he has been something of the town pariah ever since.

Race Description: Ogres are large, brutish folk that make up for their hideous appearance with their unparalleled strength. Ogres are generally considered very simple, rather stupid people, as seen with their weak grasp on language and horrendous literacy. As mentioned previously, their strength allows them to be unparalleled in hard labor, but their idiocy allows them to be easily taken advantage of. Most Ogres stand at around 2 meters tall and have lifespans similar to humans.

Avatar: Kordo is perplexed by the notion of gods. Don't even think of trying to explain to him all the different avatars and what-not; it hurts his brain when he tries to fathom things of such great proportions.

A wiry black beard and bushy eyebrows are the only hair on his face as he is bald. He has dark brown eyes and a large crooked nose.

Current Equipment: Walking staff, hammer, nails, tongs. He is out on the field fixing a plow when the screams sounded.

Handy Skills: Is a blacksmith. Can drink a lot of alcohol without getting drunk. Can yell really loudly.

Personality at RP's Start: Loud and boisterous, Gerly is friendly with everyone. Because he is the village blacksmith and everyone needs his help he tries to be fair to everyone.

Facts Likely Known To Others: He injured his leg when he was an apprentice when he dropped and anvil on his leg and it withered away. He was in a fever for a week before he woke.

Race Description: The Norisi are the people from the cold and hostile north. It is said that they are the decendents of the ancient frost giants and it isnt really hard to realise why this is said. Norisi are generally much bigger and stronger then humans, aswell as very resistant to natural cold. However they still resemble humans closely in other features.

The Norisi are a proud yet also savage people. They are known as a scourge from the north as they are frequently raiding the northern states. The Norisi are attempting to settle in the more warmer south. The problem is that these territories are usually already claimed by different lords. This causes some friction ofcourse and since the Norisi want to eat the whole cake and not just a slice… It usually results in bloodshed.

Avatar: Kharneth, the Lord of Blood. Kharneth's followers are both warriors and explorers without exception, if only in mind than in occupation. His followers build no temples but rather worship him on the battlefield or by going beyond the horizon and explore new lands. He is not just the god of senseless slaugther but also of martial pride and honour. It is said amoung the Norisi that if a follower Kharneth were to break his word Kharneth would come down from his throne and crush the man’s soul, denying him a place in Kharneth’s great hall.

Name: Herja Rikisdatter

Gender: Female

Age: 22

Appearance: Herja would have been a very much sought after woman in a Norisi clan. She has a pretty too look at face, has bright blue eyes and a series of tattoos over the right side of her face. Her red hair is almost always styled in a typical Norisi fashion. (A mixture of braids and straight hair. Pretty much a viking kind of hairstyle) All in all not so bad is it? Well, she’s also standing in at 6’10 and has a massive muscular frame, as is typical for all the Norisi. She has a rather pale complexion compared to the others, eventhough she is a slave and works from dusk till dawn in the scourching sun. She also has several scars on her back which are a reminder of her previous owner and his tendency to use a whip to get his slaves to do his bidding.

Current Equipment: At the start of the RP Herja only posseses the rags her master gave her and the slave colar she wears. She is not trusted with any tools and is seen more as property then as a living being, hence why she doesnt even have anything resembling shoes.
There is only one thing which is truely hers; a small pendant in the shape of the rune for Kharneth. It is the only thing she has left of her old life.

Handy Skills: -Strong as an ox. Herja, thanks to her Norisi physique, is able to perform great feats of strength. These involve very practical applications like lifting heavy objects, pulling a plow or tearing a man’s arm off and club him to death with it.

-High pain resistance. This is what you get when you have a person who’s body already has a higher then average resistance to pain and you combine that with years of torment from various masters. Note though that the word used is resistance and not immunity. She does feel pain and while she might be able to take some major injuries it will still hurt her. She just doesnt show it.

-Good at tracking. This is something she was thaught when she was still a little girl by a member of her clan. She is good at tracking animals and humans alike. This will be a valuable skill for hunting for dinner.

Not So Handy Skills:-Loner. Imagine being taken away from your hometown at the age of 13 and then being dragged across the land into a foreign country with people distrusting you and worshipping foreign gods. Now imagine being sold into slavery and being treated as an object for 9 years, all the while being hated and beaten just for being a Norisi. Just imagine what that does to your trust of the people of that land. Needless to say, Herja is not really a people person.

-No diplomatic skills at all. While being a brute might have its advantages from time to time, threatening the man who holds your entire village hostage is not the best way of doing things. Herja however… She would probably still do that.

-No understanding of local affairs. Herja does not really know how to deal with Ashuran society and they dont really like her either. She does not understand some of the local costums and also has some limited issues with the language.

Personality at RP's Start: For nine years Herja has been treated worse then a dog. Needless to say, she is not really a person with a pleasant view on life. She is filled with supressed hate for all of the people of Ashuran. However, there may be a silver lining. Herja still has her people’s sense of honour in her. And if she were to meet someone who shows an act of kindness towards her then she will do whatever she can to protect them.

Facts Likely Known To Others: Herja is probably looked at with either disgust, fear or just ignored. She is a Norisi, the scourge from the north. They loot, rape, maim, kill and burn anything they can find. Surely this girl is exactly the same! Or so they would think. Propaganda does wonders to shape the view of the peasant rabble.
Herja barely ever spoke during her times as a slave so it wouldnt be suprising to find alot of people who think of her to be a mute.
It is generally known by the people of Cowfallow that Herja is a slave. Only new arrivals would not know of this.
