"The principal has expressed that he will not allow us." Alphonse said gravely. "One of the iron laws of the school is that the student council is the strongest. The Rumble has always been set in stone because it represents the Student Council's first challenge."

This wasn't something most people knew, but that was the true purpose of the Kagetora Rumble. The Student Council, though they would lose their position if they ever lost any fight, still had the right to refuse any and all challenges. But the Rumble was an absolute, the Student Council had to participate and inevitably, whoever remained standing at the end of the Rumble would be the new Student Council. Whether that was the normal student council or an entirely new composition didn't matter, whoever was the strongest would rule.

"We will have to escort our Investors meanwhile fighting off fellow students and classmates." He said, "This is our first trial as the Student Council. We must emerge victorious."

The Boxing Club

Kurosawa Misaki had just procured some more muscle to help set up the stage for Boxermania. And besides muscle, this Luchador had a spectacular form of showmanship already trained. This boy would do well in a No-DQ match, and help keep the crowd entertained. As her thoughts were focused on Boxermania she noticed that Alphonse was trying to get her attention.

"Oh yeah, I saw." She said turning towards Alphonse, "You gave the crowd quite the performance extravaganza. You'll should be fine in a No Disqualifications Match." Alphonse did garner quite the reception from the crowd. In that match, despite the illegal move, he showed that he had the potential to become a champion. That boy could become a true boxer one day, and Misaki knew that in time he eventually would.

The cheerleader listened to the roars of the crowd, knowing that they were inspired. The members of the audience were hyped, and it appeared the luchador did awake the FIERY PASSION held within them. Misaki peered around, gauging the sheer hype gathered from this match. Oh the luchador did earn a spot in battle in Boxermania. Though despite the wonder and the hype filling the air, there was something wrong. In the midst of the awe-struck crowd, there was a nasty situation at hand. One of her peers was turning into a sickly hue of blue.

And that poor fellow wasn't Iko 'Bane of the Bakery' Gorou, who happened to be accidentally activating his power to become the tastiest of blueberry muffins! No, the poor fellow was Johnny Pots. And that scene of color changing was certainly not natural for the boy. Misaki focused on the boy, and immediately dropped her pom poms. "OH no! He's CHOKING!"

Kurosawa slammed down her left hand on one of Rudioso's shoulders, and used the rose she took to point at the blue boy. "Wanna show your strength to be used at my command? HE..." The cheerleader thrust the rose forward in the direction of the kid who needed help. "...NEEDS THE HEIMLICH MANEUVER. FOLLOW ME! I'll start it." And with that, Kurosawa Misaki departed from the luchador and ran off towards the boy.

Great, this was just spectacular. She had one of her own choking to death. Misaki was not going to let one of her own get taken out like this. The crowd continued to roar on, still not noticing that one of the others was suffering so. Misaki quickly yelled out, "HEY JOHNNY BOY IS CHOKING! GIVE SOME SPACE!" And, it appeared that those near him finally noticed. They began to move aside, as Misaki plucked the rose betwixt her teeth so she could have her hands free. Misaki stood behind Johnny and quickly wrapped her hands around the boy's stomach, keeping a tight grip on him.

And so now that she had the position, she began pulling quickly and forcefully on the kid to perform the Heimlich Technique.

Kingsley, through Ruidoso, found himself pulled into the spectacle with the rest of the crowd. He cheered and hollered with the others, and got hyped as hell despite having almost no idea about what this man was talking about. Boxermania? Dates? Well, at the very least Kingsley understood FIERY PASSION. This was it! Kingsley understood now that this was also a part of Lucha Libre.

"Yes, just like cutting open a fish en papillote! No, more like a sizzling fajita! The show is a part of the meal. No more could one separate a Luchador from his showmanship than a chef from his knives! It's beautiful in its purity."

The ovation, however, was cut somewhat short when a boy in the crowd began choking. Being a gourmet, Kingsley was well-versed in the Heimlich maneuver, but the attentive cheerleader seemed to be on it.

"Wait, do boxing clubs have cheerleaders? Or Luchadors, for that matter?"

Kingsley then spotted a tall boy with a collection of gigantic swords in the ring.

"Or swordsmen? What kind of boxing club is this?"

Regardless, a boy was choking and it was Kingsley's duty to offer help.

"Miss," he called out over the crowd in his deep, booming, imposing roar of a voice, "May I help? I am very well-versed in the Heimlich!"

Some members of the crowd finally noticed the giant as Kingsley strode towards the choking boy in a white apron, emblazoned upon which were the words 'KISS THE COOK'. Some cried, some fainted, some wet themselves, and more shouted:
'Dear God, it's the Shadow King! He's come to murder us all!'
'He will use our varied corpses to construct his dark throne, from which he will bring the throngs of Hell to descend upon the Earth!'
'In this moment of panic, I have seen the face of God! It is terrifying and benevolent, and I no longer fear death!'

"WE HAVE AWOKEN HIM FROM HIS DARK SLUMBER! The Shadow King will show no mercy to us!"
"THE END OF ALL LIFE IS UPON US! ...Or at least the school!"
"THE DAY HAS COME! THE SHADOW KING WANTS TO KILL THE CAPTAIN!"
"SHE'S DEAD! HE ALREADY HAS HIS EYES ON HER! CAPTAIN! NOOOOO!"
"Someone who against all odds manages to survive this apocalyptic event, tell Mister Mittens to not open that book! Trust me, he'll know!"
"Amaterasu protect us!"

Among other cries were heard. Even in the Boxing Club, there were many members who feared the rumors of the 'Shadow King'. Some of them swore that this figure was a myth, a legend told to keep people in line. Of course, now they knew, the Shadow King was in fact an individual that existed. They did not know what horrible darkness stitched this abomination to life, but somehow the cook was alive and scary to others than they initially thought he was.

The Captain quickly turned around as she noticed the giant dressed in the garments of chef. This, was the form of the Shadow King. With hardly a word she let go of the blue boy, who still needed more help in freeing whatever was clogging his airway. Turning around she removed the rose from her teeth and gestured to him. "You know? HURRY AND GO DO IT!"

Upon her declaration, the crowd was warped in various thoughts on the matter. Some grew silent, wondering if the Captain was sacrificing one of her own to save the rest of them. Others pondered if this was the Prophecy of the one who brought the light of binding upon the Shadow King. Others, were still screaming out in horror due to the sudden realization that the man was still there.
"DEAR GOD, IS THE SHADOW KING GOING TO FULFILL THE PROPHECY!?"
"The Fifth Seal is going to be broken!"
"OUR TIME IS AT AN END!"

"STOP SCREAMING OF DOOMSDAY!" Misaki yelled out. If there was one thing she didn't need right now, besides one of her own choking to death, it was them panicking of doomsday due to some guy who wanted to help out.

Kingsley was used to the doomsday prognostication that came with his presence, and thus largely ignored it as he rushed to the choking boy. Occasionally one of the more outlandish claims would get to him and he would retort, thus resulting in more rumors, but the boxing club seemed to be screaming some pretty standard stuff.

"Y-yes!" Kingsley replied to the boxing cheerleader's plea. He quickly took her place, and began his skillful and practiced Heimlich. It was something that every chef worth his seasoning was proficient in, and as Kingsley was worth a lot of seasoning as a chef, he was quite good at it. Invigorated by the Lucha, he decided to try naming his Heimlich.

"Ultimate... Heimlich... CRUSHER!" he cried, punctuating each word with a strong, swift movement. Sadly, it took a couple more movements to dislodge whatever was choking the boy up so Kingsley awkwardly continued after he had called his move. When finally the disruption was cleared up and spat out, Kingsley added another word to the end of the move to save face.

"MIRACLE!"

He stood back to allow Johnny to get some air.

"You alright, kid?" his voice boomed gruffly.

The Ultimate Heimlich CRUSHER MIRACLE technique had indeed saved Johnny Pots. Emerging out of Johnny's mouth was a golf-ball sized of chewed up gum of many different faded colors. The drool and spit rolled down the ball of chewed up candy, before the candy itself started to twitch. It appeared that in the turmoil, Johnny Pots accidentally swallowed too much gum while probably practicing his power of turning candy things into a weird state of pseudo-sentience. That power didn't come up much, but it appeared to be at the crux of why he was choking.

As for Johnny himself, he was hunched over breathing in and out heavily. "A-yeahwa." Coughing a bit, Johnny spat some pinkish color saliva towards the ground. "Biiit more than I intended for." The assorted individuals in the Boxing Club watched in awe, as the screaming in agony appeared to have come to a pin-drop silence once more. The Shadow King did not appear to slaughter Johnny. He was right there, he had Johnny exactly where he wanted. But against all logic, the Shadow King did not murder the man. Once more, the sounds of discussion around the Shadow King commenced.

"D-did the Captain tame the Shadow King?"
"Holy crap! The Captain tamed the Shadow King!"
"What if he is only doing this to draw us into a more comfortable state so he can enjoy our tears more?!"
"I have seen the blessing of Amaterasu this day."
"...By Jove! Did Amaterasu actually hear our plea for survival!?"
"IT IS JUST LIKE THE BLESSED WINDS!"

As the ramblings of the superstitious lot were spoken once more, Kurosawa Misaki gave a relieved exhale. She glanced towards Kingsley and spoke up, "Whew. That could've been far worse. Thank you for the help."

"Oh, uh, it's no problem," replied Kingsley with a good-natured smile on his face that some might misconstrue as some sort of dark hunger, "Any good chef knows a proper Heimlich in and out. It's one of the fundamentals, even though it's not about cooking. I wasn't even allowed to handle a knife until I could prove to execute a perfect Heimlich."

Kingsley looked around the boxing club. Aside from the terrified and/or awed faces of some of the crowd, it seemed like a nice place.

"I heard a lot of commotion from over in the Home Ec room. I mean, more commotion than normal. I'm used to the words of your announcer, which can cut clean through steel only to knock on one's ears gently and offer a freshly-baked muffin. But these ear-bursting declarations filled with spicy passion and the sort of purity that make salt look like the scum accumulating on the top of a boiling soup are new. I had to see for myself what all this was about."

Kingsley looked to the luchador, who he had assumed was the source of the commotion.

"This is truly an odd boxing club. Interesting, but odd."

Souta placed his finger on his cheek, prodding it ever so slightly at a rather slow speed at his eyes wandered up towards the ceiling, thinking of what to do -- or in this case, how. His sister had trained him how to use his powers, teaching him how to control over the two odd samurais that would come to his command whenever he called for them to come down from the spirit world.

Well, not command. More or less, to give orders. He didn't have control over the two spirits that would protect him in the sense that he could control where they moved or how they acted, but he could give orders to them -- which they would follow out of their own free will.

It was a very strange power. In a sense, Souta didn't exactly have a power. All he had were two "people" -- with his sister being able to summon more than two -- who were already dead, coming from the spirit world to protect him. Without this "power" of his, he was virtually useless. If they were bested, he would more or less be screwed over -- and both he and his sister knew that.

How his sister had managed to attain a spot on the student council, he didn't exactly have an idea, and how she even managed to keep it was beyond him. He was told that this ability of his was useful, that it was powerful, but he had yet to even use it once -- yet to even summon them once; but, if all they did was protect him, would they also be useful in protecting the investors?

Probably, he thought, even though a small part of his mind told him otherwise.

"Let's try our best," He said, giving a short nod to no one in particular.

Kurosawa Misaki glanced around at the assembled Club Members, as the Chef mentioned the fact it was an interesting organization and complimented the announcer. The cheerleader beamed a grin at the chef as she placed her hands on her hips. "Well I'm glad you find our band interesting Trust me, if you think this is interesting, you are going to enjoy Boxermania." Misaki began thinking upon Boxermania. She was glad she wrangled that Luchador on-board to help set things up, alongside whoever else she and Roy would get to help out.

"Oh yeah! Roy's our boy!" Misaki moved her hip slightly to the left as she raised up her right arm. She glanced back towards the ring, "You couldn't ask for a better announcer." Yes, Roy tended to do a marvelous job for all of the announcements of the fighters.

Suddenly a new thought dawned upon Kurosawa. She was talking to a chef. Blinking, Misaki glanced at Kingsley. "So, you said you were a good chef? Fascinating. So didya cook anything recently?"

"Ah, yes, I am an excellent chef!" roared Kingsley with a wide grin on his face, "I'm likely the best in the school, and the only member of the cooking club. And as a matter of fact, I have cooked something recently. It's cooling now, and you can smell it from here. A delicious pot pie."

Kingsley certainly wasn't above bragging, though the statement was by no means a stretch. Most of the students at this school seemed more concerned with fighting than anything else, after all. Even the real chefs seemed to phone it in when it came to school lunches. Regardless, there were other things that interested Kingsley.

"But I would like to hear more about 'Boxermania'. It sounds like an interesting event, and I honestly don't do much here besides cook. Perhaps I could cater or something. Maybe that would help to dispel the rumors that I'm some sort of demon king, too."

"That's right... if they just taste my food, I'm certain that they will understand! Kingsley Sovereign is just a chef. A very good chef who can fight, but a chef none the less."

Yes, all was going well. Kurosawa Misaki now had more muscle to set up and entertain with a few No Disqualification Matches and now was going to get catering. And, just as Kingsley said, the aroma pot pie was in fact just starting to enter the room. Oh, it did smell lovely. Yes, this was going to be a mutualistic opportunity for both the cheerleader and the chef. Misaki glanced towards the chef and gave a smile as she tilted her head to the left.

"It would be wonderful if you were to cater!" Misaki declared as she clasped her hands together and held them just to the side of her left cheek. She then released the grip she had from her hands and brought them back to her sides. "As for Boxermania, it is the entertainment match of, pretty much all semesters. It is where champions are made and where they engage in the pinnacle of competition! Each contestant, seeking to display their might and prowess and win the hearts of the crowd! It is full of blood, sweat and tears!" Misaki clenched her right hand into a fist as she shook it. A single tear dramatic rolled down her cheek as if it was rehearsed. Which it was, crying on cue was an absolutely important part for increasing tension. "Witnessing such paragons in the ring, over a variously styled matches, is truly beautiful. And having a culinary platter that reflects the sheer dedication and majesty of the event, would be appreciated."

Misaki kept a decent lull, mostly for dramatic effect. Then she moved onto the next matter.""Say, if you aren't busy, would you want to help set up for it? Gotta warn you though, you'd be getting up really early for that." Misaki rolled her shoulders around. "Anyway, I'll get Roy to help out in hammering out the exact details for catering. Anything you'd particularly want to serve?" This Boxermania was going to be grand, Misaki could feel it. And she knew that the crowd was going to feel the raw hype from it.

Kingsley's eyes flickered with manly passion as he listened to the cheerleader's explanation of Boxermania. The pilot light inside the weary chef came ablaze, and he nodded excitedly. This was why he still cooked, despite missing an ingredient! Finally, he'd found a purpose. And that purpose was Boxermania.

"It sounds fantastic! Of course I'll help with set-up," he said, his deep voice booming menacingly despite there being absolutely no malice in his words, "But before we decide on a menu, it's important to note my ability and how it will contribute to the event. When I prepare food, qualities of the creatures being prepared are given to the eater. For instance, if I prepared rabbit, the eater would become more agile and be able to jump higher and hear better. In that case, if we can come up with a menu to highlight the contestant's strengths, I think that we could have the most amazing battles in Boxermania history!"

Kingsley pounded his fist into his hand in excitement. To some, it likely looked like he was threatening the cheerleader. He wasn't, but his smile was slightly terrifying.

"But I don't know as much about this club as you, so if you could tell me which meats would be of use, I can come up with the specific dishes from there. I'm also open to requests, of course. By the way, only up to three effects can be active at once. It will be important to choose wisely with this in mind."

Kagetora Rumble - 10.00 AM

"Are we ready for the Rumble?" Akiko asked.

She was in her room in the A class dorms. It was quite spacious and decorated to her liking. In several chairs scattered around the room sat several Coalition members, some of which came from the A class dorms and the rest had come from a large portal which covered all of one wall of her room. It was directly connected to Gabriel's room, him being the captain of the Going Home club, he was well suited to bringing them together.

The portal was the handiwork of twins from Akiko's own club, they could open portals wherever they wanted and whenever they wanted but only to each other.

"Give us a second." Gabriel said.

He was leaning over the shoulder of another student nearby, one from his club. The curtains in her room were drawn of course, for his convenience.

"It's connected." The student said.

In front of Akiko, several screens flickered to life showing video footage from the eyes of several people who seemed to be in class at that moment. But there was one main screen which she was focused on now. She pulled on a headset and spoke.

"We're online, everybody. Look sharp." She said.

Several of the perspectives on the screen jumped a little.

"I have to thank you for making this possible, Juri-san, Kurosaki-san." She said.

Yes, this network of screens was only possible due to the unique powers the coalition possessed. Juri-san was from her own club, and her power was called 'Psycho-Spider'. Basically it was a collection of spider themed psychic powers with several interesting characteristics. The one she was using now was a sort of telekinesis web. She connected telepathically to a network of other minds meaning she would be able to communicate with all of them at once if she so wished. The downside was that it acted like a real web so if a certain student was rendered unconscious, she might lose contact with many students at once.

Kurosaki was from the Going Home club, and his ability was to gain access to any kind of network no matter what it was. Digital, social or even mental like Juri's spider web. But he isn't able to change anything, only access it and use it. He was using his power now to digitally integrate Juri's network so they could observe and command the Coalition even though they couldn't be in the battle.

Juri's web encompassed all of the Occult Research club and key members of the Science and the Going Home clubs.

"We need a visual on the Student Council." Gabriel said, also donning a headset. "Velstar, that's you're cue."

"O-okay!" A nervous voice said from one of the screens. The frame it came from started to move.

"Meruis, back him up, he may need it." Akiko finished.
@Eklispe

"We welcome you." Alphonse said, bowing.

Their guests had arrived now, they'd come in early because they needed some time to get the CEO's father ready before the main event started.

"Yes, thank you." The man himself said, walking over to him.

They were at the front school gates and the venue was on the other side of the school, sort of near the dorms. Another car pulled up, and out came their biggest concern. Some bodyguards came out with him but he doubted they would be enough. That's why the student council was acting as personal escorts, and they all had jobs to do.

Maxwell and Sota would make up the vanguard. They were to guard the old man and obscure his vision by way of numbers mostly. Augur was to be their scout and their assassin. He would be nearby, looking ahead and taking out all threats he could. Alphonse was going to be their main fighting power. He had the most direct combat skill and if need be he could take out threats before they got close.

"Please, step this way." He said.

Meruis nodded, "Feel free to move in Velstar, I'll cover you." He said as he made his way over. He also materialized a spear of ice into existence next to himself as he moved. Best to have at least one spell prepared just in case. Enemies were supposed to be everywhere in this rumble deal. Anyone not from his faction he was supposed to attack on sight. He wondered why exactly they needed to watch the student council but didn't question it too much. He was confident in the abilities of his superiors, and this should be a good chance to test out his skills.

There were rumors floating around the school halls regarding the arrival of a VIP guest. An important figurehead, so important in fact that members of the Student Council were assigned to meet and greet him. Many theories surfaced about his identity, some far fetched, while others slightly more grounded. The Student Council didn't seem to be that secretive about the matter, but they didn't make any announcements either. Of course, that was none of Raymond's concerns. He had bigger issues to deal with, specifically The Rumble. The Kagetora Rumble. He enlisted with the hopes of actually improving himself over the course of one week. How stupid of him. An entire week went by in a couple of seconds, or at least that's how it seemed to the angry blonde. Ray was given no chance to train, and he was so accustomed to exercising senseless violence on people that his social skills were below zero. So, he spent most of his time in his dorm room, trying to figure out a strategy, and playing different battle scenarios in his head. Definitely not a healthy way to pass the time.

His room was pretty tidy, which was very unexpected of him. He shared his bunk beds with another person, but he was only around when it was time to sleep. His clothes were nicely folded, while he was sporting his white, silk pajamas. Pacing back and forth in exasperation, Raymond noticed his hands were getting clammy. He would never admit it, but he was actually nervous, more nervous than he's ever been in his entire life. He wasn't looking to win the tournament, but he had to at least win one fight and judging by the participants, that was not gonna be an easy task. Most, if not all, specialized at long range attacks. Getting close to them without resolving to take a few hits was gonna be nearly impossible.

Letting out a soft sigh, he threw a look at the clock and decided it was time for him to leave his dorm. He dressed himself up in a pair of black sweatpants and a white t-shirt - his makeshift battle attire, opting for functionality instead of theatrics, and then exited the dorm, making his way to the Arena.

Once again, the morning sun had deprived a little extra bit of sleep from what Trinh desperately needed to begin the day. From what Trinh understood, the day was supposed to be a school event, where all could participate. Those who didn't could simply stay in their rooms. The latter sounded like a good plan to him.

Trinh rolled over, checked his room, then peaked out to the hallway. He then rolled back into bed, threw the sheets back on, and went back into his state of torpor. It didn't take long for Trinh to begin snoring.

"Fweh...Classes are so boring..."

She laid her head on the table, staring with dead eyes at the teacher yapping on about mitochondria. Yuzuki was all pumped up yesterday, and now she feels like killing herself on a bamboo shoot. While playing Chopin on the piano.

Come to think of it, she should go grab a bow from the archery club. That was, assuming they had one that was both strong and fireproof. To fight against those piece of shit gunners, she need some sort of advantage she could use against them. That was, if she didn't kill herself first from that teacher's voice droning on and on. What sort of fighting school needs to know about mitochondria? For some sort of quiz battle royale?

"Ugh... please, something interesting happen already..."

Velstar moved from the inside of the school building up to the roof there was no one else there. Normally the Ballistics club or Archery club would've taken up the position but they had used some 'Gentle Persuasion' in order to get them to stand down.

"Give us a visual." Gabriel's voice said in his mind.

Down below, the Student Council were escorting a group of people. They were in the main school courtyard now, and all eyes were fixed on them. Most of the students in the courtyard were still supposed to be in class but they'd made excuses one way or another and no one was going to be able to stop them now.

"Th-th-there are so m-many people down there..." Velstar stuttered out, "I-I don't know if I can do this!"

Suddenly, a resounding gong sound reverberated throughout the school. The Rumble had begun.

Down below, chain after chain burst out of the ground and trapped all of the students within range, pinning them to the ground. Since the Rumble was an all out battle royale, there were certain special rules in terms of what counted as 'defeat'. One of them was if a person was restrained without conceivably being able to do anything for 10 seconds which was undoubtedly what Alphonse was going for.

But it wasn't going to be that easy, as they watched some of the students pulled out bows and guns, taking aim at the council.

"It's the Imperial Regiment!" Velstar shouted.

Obviously they were going for a coordinated attack to take control of the student council. They were going to have to intervene...

"Velstar, take out the gunners and Meruis, take out the archers." Gabriel said.

"Right!" Velstar said, getting onto the railing. He looked down and gulped at the height.

"You can do this Velstar, we know you can." He reassured.

The shy student nodded and without further hesitation, he jumped forawrd into the air. To anyone else it would've looked suicidal, but Velstar needed an act of courage to activate his power. There was a star shaped, yellow flash of light, and where Velstar was there stood a strange creature. It had a glowing transluscent star instead of a head and brightly patterned spandex. He fell from the air fast and landed with another star shaped flash.

"Velstar arrives on the scene!" He shouted.

This was 'Velstar's' actual form. His real name was something else but he always wanted to be called Velstar, mostly because of his power. In this form, he gained super speed, enhanced senses and most importantly for him, a changed personality. Velstar's true form was brazen, confident, brave, all qualities he lacked in his normal form.

Down below, he dashed forward leaving behind a sparkling trail. He flashed through the crowd, dropping gunners left and right. Another rule of defeat was simply unconsciousness. Those that were defeated would be seemingly consumed by shadow and then dispensed into their dorm room or the nurse's office as required.

The nearby archers wouldn't be able to get a bead on him so they instead decided to focus on his Ally. The roof gave anyone on it an advantage versus gunners who could only shoot straight, one only needs to step backwards to avoid almost any of the gunfire that could be shot at someone on the roof. But bows had an arc, and even now several arrows were already whizzing in the air towards Meruis. Elsewhere in the school, fighting had also begun. Mostly brawls were breaking out between the Fighters and the Imperial Regiment, although the Regiment had specialized squads formed they were still relatively equal with the Fighters who had more numbers.

Several of the Coalition's main fighters were also in action, although much more covertly. There were very few of them who had permission to engage in open combat as that was how Juri's web worked. Any open combat specialists were out at the ends of the web because they were most likely to expire early and cut off communications.

Juri herself had also hidden. The reason she hadn't stayed in the dorms was the fact that she was capable at combat and battle power couldn't be wasted for today.

The Fighters had the numbers, the Regiment had the organization, and the Coalition had the tactics. If these three factions ever banded together perhaps they would be truly powerful. But in Kagetora, only one could really be the King.

Olle and her elite squad were hidden away from most of the others. Today she was quite lucky she bought her rifle, however it wouldn't do quite much. She'd just seen whole squads being taken out. Of course, that wasn't all of their numbers, but it was quite... Interesting to watch. The Commander forced her body closer to the wall as the six people in charge of protecting her (Which she thought of as stupid) reloaded and checked their weapons.

"Commander, why did you authorize the decision for the Coalition to take the roof?" Foxtrot asked, looking down the sights of his KSG. How he attained one didn't make much sense to the Commander, however, it didn't quite matter. Apparently he had been given a small toy shotgun at age two and that just made him more curious about the real thing. Everything else was history. Well, besides the fact that he was able to operate almost any shotgun he got his hands on.

Gun shots sounded nearby along with heavy grunts. "We'll let Ichor have it's fun, and if we're still left over, come back and challenge them. For now I'll just enjoy the Rumble as it is."

Next happened to be Whiskey. He sat on the ground casually as if everything was perfectly normal. Slung over his back was a sleek Oracle AR. "You had the same approach last year, right? Ki- I mean, incapacitate a few people, act innocent sometimes, and then gun down everyone in sight?"

"Haha. Sight." Uniform adjusted his scope. This was why he was the certified sniper of the group. His eye sight was at 20/15, not to mention how far his field of vision went, thanks to his powers.

Romeo loaded up her sidearm. "How'd you know that, Whisk? Aren't you new?"

Whiskey was a pretty odd case. He had a power that was centered more around academics. His brain could intake knowledge incredibly fast, and he'd probably be able to think up details from memories if he really wanted to. He was a Senior that had spent most of his other years in clubs for a short amount of time or in none at all. But apparently he got a bit curious about firearms, and well, learned how to basically build his own ARs. Something that made quite a few people fill unsafe, but come on, it was a school centered around fighting. So just a few weeks before the Rumble he decided to join up. "I know because she acted innocent last year and then shot me in my chest."

"Oh, that was you?" Commander Mattis briefly remembered shooting some guy in the back at a Rumble last year, but come on, you couldn't just remember everyone you shot. It was like remembering every squirrel you killed.

He gave a joking sigh. Everyone seemed ready, so they began to walk as far away from the Coalition of Ichor's little battle. They'd start by hopefully taking out the much more weak students or loners out first -- and then edge up to the council. Mattis didn't quite care about winning any sort of position on the thing; it was more about the power aspect. The Regiment was already probably the second most powerful faction, only to Ichor, and rising slightly above them or being to at least taunt the members seemed liked it'd be grand.

Meruis nodded, "On it." he said simply and surveyed the situation. First thing he needed to do was secure the student council, though they no doubt had formidable powers of their own it would be best to be safe rather than sorry. He made a gesture along with some eldritch muttering and, "Earth dome!" he called out as the ground around the council quickly stretched over them and sealed them inside, safe from the incoming attacks. If the council could break out they could easily protect them selves from a few measly ranged attacks, as could Meruis. Taking advantage of the spear of ice he already held in his hand he muttered, "Wall.", the spear changed elongating and stretching out into a sheet of ice that deflected the incoming arrows sending them harmlessly spiraling down into the courtyard. Never the less he took a step back, given the sheet's coloration none should be able to see behind it and besides, the shots were taking their toll, etching small cracks into the ice. Certainly a gun shot would shatter it at this point and he had no intention of remaining directly behind it if it did. In the meantime he prepared another spell, he would have to take care of those pesky archers, and it be best to do in all in one shot... "Fire Form, Pillar." Meruis said as he gathered power into his hands concentrating fiercely, as soon as his wall shattered, or the tink tink of arrows hitting it stopped he would begin his counter attack
