Kijani heard her name, and her head jerked up automatically. "...Connor." Her eyes were full of hope and fear in the same instant. She'd fallen out of contact with him over the break. She had tried to send him emails every day, while she traveled. It was a journey she'd taken alone, to erase what she'd been told she had to be, and discover who she really was. To be honest, she really wasn't sure that she'd done either of those things correctly. But- there was still time.

Hopefully.

"C-connor... I missed you." She started to approach him slowly, uncertain.

Roxy nodded. "Sure the more I get around the fast I will be able to memorize my way around the campus. Having someone who knows he place well will be very helpful." she grabbed her cane so she would be ready when they left.

One of the few reasons Connor had returned to the school was the chance to see Kijani again. She had gone through a lot, and Connor hadn't wanted to pressure her. The hope he saw made him that things would be okay. The fear made him worried.

But she started to approach him, and that made Connor relax slightly. Yet he noticed the uncertainly, and Connor wasn't sure if that was because she wasn't sure how he would react, or for something else.

He smiled slightly, hoping it was more reassuring then nervous. "I missed you too" he said, managing to keep his voice level.

"You keeping secrets from me? What's happened to you Kaden. I really hope this does not mean I have to become the heroic of the two of us, that would be so very selfish of you." She scolded, but all in jest. It seemed that most of the words she said were teasing and flippant. In regards to guiding the new students Kat was indifferent. While she failed to be enthused at the prospect of giving a tour it promised to wield knowledge, and knowledge was something Kat could always work with.

As Connor said he'd missed her, Kijani's steps lost their uncertainty. She all but ran to him, wrapping her arms around him and hugging him close. "Oh, Connor..." Her forehead rested in the hollow of his neck. Inhaling, she just breathed him in. He always smelled nice, though she wasn't particularly sure what that smell was. It was just... him. After realizing something, she blinked and looked up. "...did you get taller over the break?" She went a bit warm- she and Connor had been seeing eye to eye before. This was a nice development. "You look good." Better than good, but she wasn't going to make out with him in the middle of the hallway.

Well, maybe if he asked very nicely.

Connor wrapped his arms around Kijani as she hugged him, relieved. He didn't particularly want to let her go, but they were in the middle of a hallway. He seemed a little surprised at the question. "Ah. Seems like it" He said, with amusement at the question. He smiled, "You look good, too" he said, wishing he could think of something else to say, but again, they were in the middle of a hallway.

"Should we move from the hallway?" He asked

Ryan continued walking through the hallway when he saw Connor and Kijani. "Get a room." He muttered as he walked by them. He looked at his watch and smiled. Almost time for the next class.

Kijani nodded, looking embarrassed. "Yeah, I suppose we should." She slipped her hand into his, and almost instantly she felt herself relax. She was home.

When Flood walked by and commented, she poked her tongue out at him. There was something quite childish in the gesture. "Don't be jealous. I'm sure there's a gorgeous girl that can put up with your level of... you. Somewhere out there."

Connor gripped her hand, and started to head out as Ryan walked passed them, Connor was just about to say something, opening his mouth to do so, when Kijani spoke up. He laughed, "Oh, that was perfect" He said, still chuckling. But Ryan checking the time had reminded Connor that they did still have class.

Still, there were areas in the school were they could have more privacy before class. He started to walk again

Ryan nodded at Kijani's response and had a rare genuine smile on his face. Glad to see she's lightened up a bit. He then began thinking about her comment. He frowned and continued walking to class. After a couple of minutes he stopped. "I think I'll take that as a challenge." Ryan said to no one but the voices in his head who would not shut up about how amazing @floodtalon was. His usual cocky grin came back up and he continued his walk.

Dead act walking back inside and walked right passed his brother. All he did when he noticed his brother was glance up and kept walking. "why does he have to be the lucky one with a sane mother. You would think apart of dad seeped in or or something." Dead act shrugged "Because dad stole Harley from joker when he proved he was crazy than the crybaby prince of crime and easily kicked batman's ass all over Gotham." Dead act stopped and looked at himself in the mirror he knew the voices in his head were talking but what could he do. "Yeah, but hey look what they made, they got me, a awesome son and a crazy one at that"

Kijani walked with Connor, leaning gently against his shoulder. So what if they saw? She didn't care right now. "So, how was your summer? Did you discover antimatter or build a better mousetrap?" She giggled faintly, clearly in good spirits. "Or maybe you just learned to make food that doesn't require a microwave?"

Estella's arrival on Earth was not the most pleasant. Not that it was awful, just nothing she was used to or expected. The first shock wasn't even waking up on a completely different planet. No it was when she attempted to float out of the pod and tumbled flat on her face. The unfamiliar sensation of physical pain immediately alerted her to the obvious changes to her form. She was solid and had obvious appendages. While using them came with natural ease, making them do exactly what was wanted did not quite come so simply.

Had she no idea what had happened to her she would likely have panicked a lot more. However Estella was aware of the reconstruction technology, not that she understood how it worked. Shakely the girl picked herself up off the ground. Without much experimentation her new body clearly was not meant to operate on all fours. Bracing herself against the pod she lifted herself to her feet. She was like a newborn trying to learn to walk as with every step she nearly fell over.

What shock there was finally started to wear off and she became more aware of her surroundings. The pod had landed safely, though it did appear to have some internal damage. Perhaps overriding the controls was not such a great idea. Around her were a few trees and a rather large looking building. Inside she could sense many different minds. Too many didn't seem particularly well guarded but them all together sounded like constant noise. Blocking it out she was essentially without communication until she could learn to focus.

Setting that aside she noticed a sign out front. Why had the ship landed here? It must have detected something in particular about this place. The writing meant very little to her but if she could have read she would know this was a place of learning for very special people. While she was curious she didn't want to leave her ship just yet. It may not operate like it should but it was the one thing that felt safe at the moment.

Connor smiled at Kijani's good humor, "No, every time I go near a stove it seems to smoke" He said matter of factly, "Mostly, I hung around Stark Industries. I think Dad wants to make sure I know what I'm doing when he retires" he said, not really ever thinking that his father would retire. "I didn't mind, it gave me plenty of time to work on things without having to worry about blowing up the house or something" He said easily, knowing that it was purely for distraction that he'd been there.

Ryan was was a bit surprised. He was just walking around when he saw a pod crash into the front yard of the school. He was slightly more surprised when he saw someone get out if it. He opened the first floor window and did a jump out towards the pod. "Hey whoa! You alright?" Ryan suddenly realised he was talking to an alien of some sort and face palmed. She probably didn't even speak English. "Do you speak English?" He asked calmly.

Whilst looking around Estella suddenly heard someone call out. Whirling around her eyes locked on Ryan long enough to tell that he had a similar appearance to her. This must have been one of the creatures she was now modeled after. He was making some sounds that appeared to be directed at her. But there was no way for her to tell what it meant so she backed up. Or at least she would have except walking was still not a thing she could manage all that well and she fell back on her but. She yelped briefly before covering her mouth. She could speak potentially speak as well it seemed. Communicating verbally was a new concept to her though so that might be a while.

@floodtalon@t2waveheard the pod crash and ran to see what was going on, shock surprise his brother was there already. He ran up and looked at the two as they talked and looked up at the sky and saw the smoke of her entry to earth. "Wonder where she came from" he then looked at her as she yelped. "Well at least she knows she is alive and all. We should probably take her to a teacher that would know where she came from. Hey I bet you a lantern would know. Or maybe Superman." He looked at the pod. "Where ever it was, they have awesome means of transportation" "Hey so do we. We have a awesome ride too" "Our means of transportation is a pogo stick, not really what I would call awesome" "hey its a Awesome pogo stick, and it makes traveling fun"

Ryan turned to his brother in shock. "I think the fact that you just had a reasonable idea is the most shocking thing I've experienced today. And I just watched an alien fall from the sky." Ryan turned back to Estella and frowned. "I can't believe I'm saying this. Dead-Act, I need you to watch her and make sure she doesn't wander away. I'm... Oh god, I'm counting on you." He turned back to the school and jumped through a window. He headed to the principal's office and shuddered. Ryan knocked on the door three times and waited in front of the door.

@floodtalon He looked at his brother and looked around to be sure he wasn't hearing things and nodded. "OK bro. You can count on me." He the kept a eye on Estella as his brother went to get help.

Kyle shook his head. He didn't know what was going on. There was suppose to be a second class. But no one seemed to be in any hurry to get to the next class. So he decided now was a good time to explore. He left without talking to anyone. He knew he would have to talk to someone sooner or later but he preferred later. He wasn't comfortable getting to know people that he might have to destroy someday.
