@Mahz I didn't want to leave the site, because it really needed something but I had a suggestion in the section, you probably will read it right? roleplayerguild.com/topics/84837-sugge..

When it comes to the suggestions that people make, they have to be split up into whether it's something we need, something we want, and if it will benefit the site.

Polls I can understand as a benefit and something we want, but for the majority of cases it's not something we need straight away. The meme generator is something we don't need, not many people would want, and it wouldn't benifit a roleplaying site.

Mahz did a poll recently with what people would like (couple pages back) and higher up on the list was PM management and the ability to delete them. He'll probably look at your suggestion as he does check out that section a lot, but it may not get the reply you we're looking for.

It doesn't make sense to compare the Guild to an anime community anyway.

@Mahz: These past few days we've had occasional 522 errors when loading the guild.

We think it is slow response from the server.

In light of recent activity in numerous RP's I'd like to suggest a report button. Either it's there and I am missing it, or it's a worked on feature because I just know there was a report button before guildfall..

If you wanna know why I suggest this, look here.

I realize that the guild is a pretty civil place most of the time and we might not really _need_ a report button but there's always a stray person doing stray things, and I don't think the moderators would appreciate 50+ PM's of GM's that need help to delete a large, unrelated post.

There's something funny about the post timestamps now, @Mahz...

got a post that got tagged with:
in 2 min

It clearly claims to have been posted in the future and we ain't got our time machine powered up.

EDIT: Same goes for this post. claims to be posted at 20:31, yet was posted at 20:29. Is the server clock incorrect?

If your computer's clock is behind the server clock, it does that. I was mildly amused by it saying that the post will be done in X amount of time rather than it breaking when I was on the Windows side of this computer, which tends to be three hours behind. Damn time machines!

yup. As it often is, the autocorrecting time wasn't correcting automatically.

Ah, but according to Doc, we still have some time left to invent the flux capacitor and Lexus have already created a prototype hoverboard.

Mahz(errella,budum tss)

I'm oblivious to wether or not you're aware if this but I have came across something I feel I should tell you about,

Occasionally when I go into the subs page, I noticed that the rps I have unsubbed from appear, it's as if it's a screen shot, I have not a clue if you are aware of this but regardless I thank you for the time you took to read this

To anyone else experiencing this, I have come to discover that going to your profile page than back to the subs page tends to fix it sometimes.

Thanks for reading

I want the power to mute people in the Guild's chat.

That will be all.

On a slightly more serious note, empowering a few members of the guild who frequent the chat to mute is not a bad idea, but of course if it is abused, said abusers need said privilege revoked. With the chatlog being visible, it will at least not be hard to identify whether abuse found place or not.

If you have chat mods, they should only be able to mute for a short time. Eg: 8hrs anything that requires longer can be reviewed by a mod.

Just means that the chat mods don't have all the power, but are more helpers and a group to encourage good behaviour. Most problem users will calm down after a while and if they don't them more serious punishment may be needed.

8 hours is actually pretty long. we'd say increments from thirty minutes up to a few hours. If someone's as much trouble as to be making a mess in the chat after a several-hour break, then they're something the regular mods probably have to deal with too.

The chat mods should not be selected on a whim. They should be reliable enough to be trusted with full power though. If they abuse power, they should lose it, just as would be the case for moderators. The power to indefinitely mute someone is something that only one or two members of the staff needs. The decision to do that should after all sit deeply enough for people to wait up to a day or two for it to be used, depending on the schedule of those people.

Don't worry about it. Each site must submit a validation certificate, and when this does not match the provided certificate information, security systems flag it as a false/shifty site. It's likely just an error.

@LegendBegins Fair enough. Figured it would be some sort of error. Thanks.
