@MuginYou still trying to decide between Wood Release and Aburame? Because I'd like to throw together a Wood Release ninja. If not I'd be down for a support-type ninja or summin'
Also @Blu what's the ruling on Wood Release? Is it still Hashirama exclusive and a character would need the cells or...?
I'm going offline but I'll answer this question before going. Your character would need the cells.
Tomorrow I'll be busy for a good chunk of the day so direct your questions to either @caliban22 or @OneWayOut. Any completed CS's will be reviewed by them too.
@Grey about your question on Wood Release, I don't see a problem with it still being around, though I feel like it's pretty unlikely. I mean, wasn't Yamato the only one to be able to use it (only after being expiremented on)? I doubt it is something that can be passed down just through the Senju line. That said, this is just my opinion, but if you somehow mentioned in your characters history that he/she had been expiremented on using some of the 1sts cells, that could work. In desperate times where tension is brewing, it's good time when nations start bringing back old ideas such as expirementation. But honestly that's a lot more work than its worth.
That's my two cents. tldr, yeah but make it a good read.
edit: totally didn't see what Blu put. Go with what he said x.x
He also has the fang marking of his clan on his cheeks.
Personality: Haru is an impulsive person who is quick on his feet and works well under pressure. He is the kind of person who enjoys the mission and takes joy in tracking down a target no matter how long it takes him. There is a primal thrill of the hunt that drives him to continue tracking until he has caught his target at any means. Outside of missions, he is a friendly person who speaks his mind and normally will act without thinking. He also has a caring side and does not like when his partner Makoto or any of his teammates get injured in the line of duty even though he knows it is part of the job.
Haru Inuzuka was born on July 7th to one of the branch families of the Inuzuka clan. He was an only child who was under the constant care of his grandparents as his own parents were active jonin who were always going off on missions. As a small child he always dreamed about becoming a ninja like his parents and even have a ninken of his own some day.
Soon the day came when he was accepted into the academy which was the proudest day for his parents minus the day that he graduated from the academy. On his first day of school, his father promised him that the day of his graduation he would get his own ninken as was the tradition for their branch of the clan instead of being given the dog during the academy. That was also the first time he met the people that would soon become his best friends in life even after they went their separate ways.
The first one he met was Katsumi whom he sat next to in the academy classroom though she was quiet for the first several weeks and did not speak to anyone. The other friend was a boy from the Nara clan who was constantly challenging him to some competition or another in an effort to best him in some way but it never seemed to work as Haru always came out on top. This went on for the entirety of their academy time with Inotsu sometimes wearing on Haru with the constant challenges but Katsumi always bringing him back and keeping the friendship strong.
Once Haru graduated from the academy, he was presented with a puppy ninken which would become his partner from that day on. The day after his graduation was the day that he was given a team and was disappointed that he was not put on a team with Inotsu and Katsumi but knew that they would still be able to see each other when they were not on missions.
It took the genin twice to pass the chunin exams to embarrassment as it seemed that Inotsu and Katsumi had both passed on their first try and he felt like he was being left behind. He felt this way again once he found out that Inotsu had been accepted into the Anbu Black Ops and decided that he would work harder to caught up with his friend. Haru earned his nickname during this period when he gained a reputation for never letting a target escape his tracking stills which was always helped with the fact that he was always put into sensory teams for back up. Soon after a man named Nise Uyanagi approached him asking if he was interested in joining the Anbu which was quickly accepted.
Combat Information Nature Type: Earth, Fire Kekkei Genkai: N/A Fighting Style: Taijutsu Equipment:
ANBU Tanto
A strong smelling sticky resin that can be attached to objects.
Personal Information Name: Chen Chideta Aliases: The Bloody Snowstorm and The General of the Tundra Age: 27 Sex: Male Date of Birth: December 14th Blood Type: AB Ninja Registration #: 027613 Join Rank: Tokubetsu Jonin Current Rank: Jonin ANBU Mask:
Appearance:
Personality:
A.N.B.U. Member Chen Chideta has shown no signs of defection or intent to cause any direct harm to Konohagakure. He is a quiet individual who seems to prefer the company of himself instead of others. I Dr. [Redacted] would classify him as highly introverted with a INTJ type personality. He prefers to think situations out instead of charging into them headfirst and on a personal note, he thoroughly thrashed me in a game of Shoji. I would recommend trying to force him to make friends soon however, no man is an island and his insistence on being alone is unhealthy.
History:
Chen was what many would consider a prodigy of his time. He graduated from his Academy Class two years early and was promoted to Chunin at the age of 14. He routinely took B rank missions and the occasional A Rank with his Jonin Sensei when everything went wrong.
It was December 31st, he had just turned 17 that year and he was in Nami No Kuni on a job to protect a local bridge builder. He was repairing the famous Great Naruto Bridge like he did every year, but something was different this year. A Nuke-Nin defected from Iwagakure wanted to cut off trade between Konohagakure and Nami No Kuni. This Nuke Nin killed his teammates, his sensei and the bridge builder. The only reason Chen lived was because of his quick thinking which led to him hiding underneath his Sensei's body. Chen had left a young boy who was ready to take on the world, he returned as a scarred Ann who had seen how cruel the world truly was. He pushed himself harder than he ever had pushed himself before and quickly made Tokubetsu Jonin.
5 years passed, he now regularly lead Chunin out in the field of battle, there was talking of promoting him to Jonin. Chen was uninterested, he was content with being alone. He was leading a team of Chunin to Nami no Kuni. They had received Intel that a Nuke-Nin from Sunagakure had set up shop and was ruling over the locals with an iron fist. They arrived and a battle took place. Complications arose as it was revealed that it was both the Nuke-Nin from Suna and from Iwa, they had teamed up so they could avoid capture. Chen had two choices. He could retreat and fail the mission, possibly leading to the town being killed by these mad men. Or he could sacrifice his team of 4 Chunin, so he could save the town and secure their business in the future. He made the tough decision and came back to Konoha, minus 4 Chunin. He was made an A.N.B.U. in recognition of his superior tactical skills and he was given the moniker of Panther.
Combat Information Nature Type: Wind and Water Kekkei Genkai: Ice Release Fighting Style:
Chen uses his Kekkei Genkai to cause frostbite with every hit. Requires Chakra to actively use, as such it is not meant for long conflicts. He prefers to get into short and intense fights rather than long drawn out conflicts. He sometimes likes to use grabs to try and freeze and opponent solid but tis requires a lot of chakra, so doesn't do this often, he will typically keep to a medium range while fighting.
Equipment: Aisukatta: A normal Katana other than the fact that it can channel Chen's unique Ice natured Chakra. When channeling Chen can cause varying amounts of frostbite depending on the severity of the wound. Techniques:
Ice Release: Thousand Needles: Chen creates 1,000 needles and shoots them at his target. Requires water to use. Ice Release: Weapon Creation: Chen can create various tools out of ice. (Note: Weapons made of Ice tend to be broken easily) Ice Release: Blizzard Dragon: This technique creates a Dragon of Snow and Ice to crush the enemy. Large amounts of water are needed to use this technique. Ice Release: Hiding Within Blizzard: This technique creates a blizzard in which Chen can hide in. Ice Release: Birds of the Blizzard: Chen creates birds made of Ice which will attack the enemy. Chen does not need to manually control the birds. Ice Release: Abomination of the Infinite Tundra: (It's a secret, I will PM @Blu about it though.
Water Release: Large Projectile: Chen spits a large mass of water from his mouth. Mainly used for survival purposes to create clean water. Water Release: Gunshot: Chen kneads his chakra into Water and spits it out of his mouth as fast as a gunshot. Multiple small shots can be fired or one large shot. Water Release: Tearing Torrent: Chen creates water that spirals in his hand and is shot out as a drill. Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet: Chen forms a large body of water into a Dragon which collides with the enemy causing massive damage.
Wind Release: Wind Cutter: Chen uses his Chakra to make wind blades to shoot at the enemy. Wind Release: Great Breakthrough: Chen creates a massive gust of wind to push or throw an enemy away. Wind Release: Divine Wind: Chen creates several small tornadoes. He will typically combine this with Ice natured Chakra to create tornadoes filled with sharp ice.
Trivia
Chen is famous for using 4 C Ranked Chunin and his now infamous Ice Release: Abomination of the Infinite Tundra to defeat 2 A Ranked Nuke Nin with minimal harm to himself. This earned him both the moniker of General of the Tundra and The Bloody Snowstorm.
I might be withdrawing my interest in this. The increasing number of powerhouses and KKG is slightly off putting.
I was planning on creating an archer medical-nin who was proficient in the use of poison, but he'd seem to be out of place given the current line up.
Technically, the lineup so far consists of only my character since no one's been accepted yet. The CS's will be reviewed with careful consideration to provide a varied cast of player characters. A unique character concept is more likely to be accepted than just being a powerhouse character. Just a reminder though, the ANBU is an elite force even if the actual series may not show them off to be considering all the important characters are crazy powerful. I'd just re-watched an old episode of Naruto the other day and Kakashi remarked the ANBU as being "the best" in terms of the shinobi hierarchy. Take that as you will.
Yeah, I get that, but so far, most (if not all) pending characters are powerhouses of some sort. I mean I know the ANBU are supposed to be high tier shinobi, but in both the manga and anime, I don't think any of them were that powerful compared to the real monsters. Danzo's body guards were good examples. They were excellent shinobi and probably the best at what they did, but they weren't too powerful and flashy. Their strengths were quite reasonable and not something people would complain about unlike the characters with grandiose jutsus. Kakashi was considered to be a skilled ANBU operative and he was one of the more flashier ones, but his strengths were still acceptable. Even his sharingan wasn't all to imbalanced since it drained so much out of him everytime he used it.
You also mentioned something like your character technically having all the tailed beasts in him or at least their chakra or something. Not sure if that was a joke or not.
Not complaining though, just sharing my thoughts and observations. Sorry if this looks like or turned into a rant of some sort.
@Jabber Well, like I said, the Co-GM's and I will review the CS's carefully and ask for changes if necessary. And that tailed beast thing was a joke. Are you still planning to withdraw?
I'm also retracting my interest. Have fun. Good luck! :)
Lol Chill out peoples. Let him review and grade first before you going to town about the characters. Now if he starts only accepting over the top characters then you have a problem.
Though one thought Itachi, Shisui and just about more of the powerful characters we see were ANBU. ANBU were stated as "The Best" in part one but that changed for Part two due to....plot. Now I will say Inotsu has plenty tech that he could take away and just stick to the Body Snatching/Gale Motiff. Less tech is never a bad thing and honestly would enhance the scenario in terms of characters and debating having much. My Uchiha will only have Sharingan and Lightning based taijutsu. Don't need much else. Unlike say the Aburame who has tons of Earth Jutsu AND Bug Jutsu. He only needs the Bug Jutsu to be vastly effective. It can appear to be too much.
I think Sloth's character Chigetsu is a model citizen of what to look for in sheets currently. He doesn't have na overbearing amount of jutsu, a few stealth, and a smaller amount of offensive jutsu. Which ANBU don't have to be stealth unless the mission calls for it but Chigetsu is more an assassination type.
I understand what both sides are coming from. One sides thinks each character should calm down in certain areas and be more focused instead of wildly everywhere. While Blu just wants a chance to review and give out his own grading first.
Sorry if this is long and I mean no offense to anyone nor character that I mentioned.
Just putting character creation on hold and waiting to see the actual line up. I mean not all, but I wanna see the few characters I'm gonna be RPing with.
@Kal-El 1 gold star for the carefully crafted response. Minus 1 gold star for talking shit about Inotsu. XD nah, I'm kidding. The other techs are for restraining/immobilizing the enemy not for standard battle which is why I mentioned he relies mainly on Wind/Hiden techs.
@Jabber I understand. I'm busy atm so I can't look over the current CS's but hopefully the Co-GM's will help me out.
@Kal-El he does make a good point. hmmm...im not sure yet. I think, maybe we can stick to one ranking for the characters. Like, an all chunin or jonin, or anbu team. might help keep the roster less sporadic and then add characters as we go. Just an idea.
