My character would be saying ef that because that would just make us vulnerable. If we were on top of a bus. He would tell them how it is a bad idea and stuff. If the characters can get the bus started then maybe they could get out of town. Although the book says that during the first few hours of the outbreak that it is a bad idea to try and drive out. It will make more traffic that is already there. We in essence would be a giant tube of food for the undead. Maybe if things weren't going to fast he could think for a second and be like... hey lets go to my house. Stick it out for a few hours and what not. That and he lives on the second floor. The stairs are wooden allowing quick whop chop action to getting the only way out or in out of the way.

In outbreak level 3 there are so many zombies around that they will pile up on one another to get over most obstacles. Assuming the outbreak is just starting then the amount of zombies are scarce. There are a few here and there. Putting too many people into the mix usually leads to panic and dumb people doing stuff. Like crushing people below them. Widespread panic seems unimaginable although people are in essence dumb and give into the fight or flight. Either they gain courage and fight via military background or whatever… or they run. Most everyone will run because in essence most people are cowards.

Well, in this case I think I'll be a coward. My plan is to run, on foot. Untill the great panic dies down and vehicles are (reasonably) safe to use.

But your character didn't choose to run. He chose to save a little girl and join up with out group. Ragtag group we are.

Well the plan is still to get the hell out. Preferably with a group to help. I mean someone has to stand watch at night. I can't stay up 24/7 until it's over.

@Aqutanama I understand the bus idea was not the best but I plan on leaving that with a cunning plan but right now we just need to leave the Center.

Oh and there is more walkers then humans in Savannah right now, some people couldn't take it and killed themselves, keeping in mind not everyone has a gun to 'punch their own ticket'

Also sadly it is listed in the book that most people... when they punch their tickets will not shoot themselves in the head or stab. You know how terrifying that is? The thought of dying would have to be in their sleep or something... Probably

It would happen in a lit of ways. Most people wouldn't kill themselves. Its not something most people do.

Oh, and (I could be mistaken) the majority of suicides are with firearms or overdose. But the vast majority of people wouldn't. Even seeing the horrors of the zombies would only increase the suicide rate by a few percent.

I was getting at the fact that most people don't know that is some scenarios of zombie outbreaks. Most people are already infected as in when they die they will reanimate. Regardless of how they die unless it was from a head wound. Something that would be powerful enough to scramble the brain a bit. So people who ate pills would be the most "human" looking zombies. Thus people close to them could get confused. Also there is the attachment factor. People who feel as though they love someone too much and cannot take it upon themselves to kill said loved one. Another thing... in the walking dead show there were the misunderstood people. People who didn't realize what the situation was and believed in faith or something to come save their loved ones. There are many factors to take into consideration.

Im, not disagreeing with you these characters will be brought in and Vincent himself is religious, but we don't have the time mention that he will pray later on because I really just want to get the story down, and by story I mean the plot our 'Destination' I'm really just waiting for the follow up posts

We will not be staying in Savannah I want to leave as quick as possible because I do have a little idea

Side note: Sometimes there will be a choice your specific Char has and depending on your choice the consciences will have a different outcome. It's just an idea any thoughts, I'll let you guys decide.

I like the idea of consequences, I mean. I want to RP realisticly but to be perfectly honest. I would die during the apocalypse... So I have to use some creative license lol

What I meant by that was fanatic religious people. People who use the word of god to control and contort people to their wills. They use it as an excuse and stuff.

Consequences? Everything has a kind of consequence. Kind of like risk vs reward. Some people see victims in our group. Let’s say... They prey upon our group and kill someone... let’s say the little girl and Anastasia. We kill a few of them and there will always be a vendetta of sorts between the groups. Everyone will end up fighting and killing one another for vengeance. Like in the walking dead.

To me Consequence is not seeing that kind of downward spiral. I would like to think that I could see it and move the group past that. If you were getting at spiritual consequence or emotional then those are a bit different. Insanity could develop within someone from hearing the constant moans of the undead or from seeing them pull apart a loved one. To allow it to get to you on such a level that your mind snaps seems another consequence. The moaning could be stopped with earplugs and/or listening to music on a really low setting through earbuds.

Spiritual consequences are... in my opinion something developed based on personal opinion. Each god or belief out there seems to have some kind of strict rules. To me using that as a power base to control others breaks your spiritual connection to others. Spiritual and emotional connections to others can become strained and taken in situations like this. The fact that most people cannot handle and outbreak and mentally snap breaks most bonds. Either the parents of a child break down and kill one another or they get torn apart from the undead and the child lives. That child will be broken in a way. Consequences of keeping that child around could be bad. As seen in walking dead. Although snuffing out a life is never a simple matter. That and if shown enough love and hope they could become a stronger person for it. Even though they will always have that baggage they will become stronger.

@Aqutanama That was an AMAZING answer I respect and admire you for that answer. A thing that interested me the most and was already a plan was 'Insanity' this will be very important as I do plan on coming to choices at some point to kick people out due to insanity hence why I asked about consequences.

But maybe Consequences is the wrong word. Maybe it isn't. Let's try interactive story. Being an rp it is already an interactive story but I want say: (EXAMPLE) John had to think fast climb the building? or boost the child up? Doing these will make all different outcomes.

It seems everyone is cool with this so if we get a few good posts in we can get to the 'plot'.

That could be somewhat difficult to pull off. I like the idea tho. It sounds like we will need to consult with you @ChronoBovino

However if I might say, if we encounter a group that tries to victimize us. I won't play games with them I'll petition for an... Extermination campaign.
