@Nate Sheet looks good, but there aren't any elves in this RP.

XD you remember my explanation for it right? It's not that he is an elf but rather his people are thought of as elves since their culture is so vastly different than the rest of the world and few Opradans ever climb the mountain to interact or trade with the world. They are nimble and quick especially in trees and rough terrain, and as a hunting culture most of them are great archers. Seeing an Opradan outside of their country is rare so it is commonly thought that the country is a country of elves.

Yeah but I thought about it; elves don't exist anywhere in Ostaria so they wouldn't know what elves are. Sorry if I'm being a little annoying. ^^;

Well, I attributed it to something like legend. Elves don't exist in reality but we have plenty of legends and fantasy stories about them and so we could call something an elf if it behaved much like something from those legends.

So while Ostaria may not have elves they could have legends of beings called elves that could be identified by certain traits, possibly legends of Opradans interacting with the world from long ago. We never really defined a history or language for any of these cultures so it could be possible that the word "elf" may derive from an ancient form of another word that these cultures had for Opradans.

I'm very good at creating lore, especially to explain something like this within the bounds of the existing lore XD

Another thing to take note of is that we never entered a city, so about half of your post is a bit on the... imagination side.

It was never actually specified where we were so I didn't really have much to go on...

Edit: Correction, it was specified that we were in a castle/palace. Typically you wouldn't build a castle in the middle of nowhere. It would be surrounded by a village or city with the outskirts of which being fields of farmland. Considering this is one of the 3 main houses of Sariwon and that it was never specified whether we were in a city or village it's safe to assume that it is a city.

It's not an unfair assumption either way. Castle's typically encapsulate at least a small village along with the main palace. Importing food during these times would be expensive and inefficient so you would have a village of workers who work the farms, guards and the families thereof. Get enough people to ensure that you can feed everyone and it's safe to assume you'd build a place of worship (though we haven't established any religion left) where they can all go. If this is feudal as it appears it is House Tosen would be like a Lord serving a king, they would have power over a large amount of land which they would "lease" out to other nobles or to townsfolk to grow their food.

Much like House Aseryo's castle, the Tosen's castle was located in a broad expanse of grass fields. A slight cool breeze often worked its way across the plains, making the dead weeds and ferns rustle and sway. It looked much duller than she imagined, she had to admit; she heard stories of House Tosen's fields being filled with life and colorful flora, but all she saw was a sickly and tawny shade of brown surrounding a large building.

Seriously though dude, @Nate. No.
Since I'm Aseryo Lord, I'm gonna say that they don't have much around them. The GM also has posted this. Please stop trying to work around the lore like this.

I've been told to enact Ambra's will in my own words since she is busy at the moment.

You are not the GM, or a co-GM. Creating lore is the job of Ambra, and myself. I just didn't want to be officially recognized as the co-GM until now, for my own reasons. To be specific, I handle plot pertaining to future events. I do have my part in looking at characters during their trial period, but if I did it on here, it would take forever.

Don't get me wrong, we love to see extra effort and creative stuff. That doesn't mean it justifies creating random lore out of the blue. Like, sure, little things like naming one of the Houses that your character could come from would be fine, but trying to create the history, mentality and way of life for the people of an entire country? I know it's just the concept of "elf", but that doesn't exist. If those legends did exist, then it likely would have been stated if we described the people of Oprad. We never described the people. This does not give you the right to do it yourself.

You are not the GM. You are also not a co-GM. You could cooperate in creating said information with us, but you can't just go rogue and do it yourself because you think you see fit to bend the roleplay however you want for whatever reason.

It was never actually specified where we were so I didn't really have much to go on...

I do get your explanation about the castle building part. Ambra had already written the part before I told her that castles generally have a city or village around them, but it was established this way because of a lack of communication beforehand.

But it was very much established, either way. Ambra described it in her first post, you must have really skimmed through it or something. We all write our posts with the intention of them being read to futility. Please do so, so that there won't be any confusion like such.

There is really no excuse for a mistake; it's just a mistake so just fix it. There is really no need for a whole explanation. It just makes you sound like you're trying to cover yourself up after a misunderstanding. Like, it's great, but it was still ESTABLISHED, and you're still fixing the post to fit the ESTABLISHED setting, lol.

Also, however the leaders of countries/House rule is really up to how Ambra and I want to write them. This also applies to how countries are operated. But if there is a character (like the current Lords of their House for example), they can set how they want to run their House, but they can't just randomly make it that a war happened ten years ago when we said it was just a feud for five or so years.

TL;DR
solace (me) is the real co-GM
nate you are not a GM or co-GM
stop creating random, impacting lore (anybody in general)
things like naming one of the five random Houses in some country for your character to come from is fine
we want to do our jobs as GMs too
please read all posts from all players, we all put effort into posting so they can be read
if you want to introduce a concept please go over with us instead of just doing it dammit shia

EDIT: As an afterword, sorry if I sound like a huge asshole. I just don't think you can really sound nice denouncing somebody, especially with the turn of events that happened for us. I'm still irritated over the whole lord disappearing after only being in the roleplay for one day ordeal.

Alright... Forget it... I'm out. I joined hoping this would be fun and friendly. I didn't think creating some very minor lore for a country that didn't have any would be such a big deal considering that you didn't seem to have a problem the first time around... See you around I guess...

Let's continue on with the roleplay. I at least know who the true 18+ are. :^)

All memes aside, I'll likely have a post up tomorrow. I might also control Slizard alongside Ambra to try and move things faster, but I also might not if I have an inconsistent representation of the character. I don't think it'll be too difficult.

From our last little ordeal, is there any idea that anyone would want to suggest for anything? Like, I don't know, <country name> has flying pigs and <other country name> is trying to steal them?

I'd say its better to keep to the core story, as fun(ny) as that may sound. Only adding/suggestion tidbit and the like as we progress.

Now that I think about it, can the drakes have different colors? If so, I think mine will be either blue or green.

Good news. My personal crisis was handled far faster than anticipated, so now I'm home. I'll get a post up soon.

Lorelei can take the Lord position at the nearest IC convenience, but I guess others will handle Silzard until that time arrives.

There was no reason to leave, but oh well...

@Kangutso I'm gonna have it that the more earthy tones of wyverns are more common than lets say... Blue or red.

@j8cob That's great to know!

Yeah, that's how I prefer anyway. I don't enjoy pre-planning a lot (actually against it), but I like to keep ideas of what types of events I'd like to occur in a certain proximity of time relevant to the plot's current position.

As for the wyverns/dragons, I think it would make a lot of sense for them to have different shades of scales and whatnot. Like, adding on to what Ambra said, the non-earthly colors (brown, etc) could be attributed to whatever country of origin said wyvern is from.

I'm glad to hear that. At least we have some good coming our way. :p

Given that Slizard's original creator kind of just up and left in a very brief manner, it's no secret that I'll definitely be killing Slizard off at some point (or something happens that causes him to leave for an indefinite amount of time that just so happens to be forever, dunno).

It's just a matter of when, and how. I don't want to just have an arrow fly through his brain at the beginning of a skirmish, is all I know. :d

You like to be all dramatic. Make it ironic, like some fanatic from Aseryo kills him. Not right now, obviously, but later.
