At the moment Kain finished the torture and looked at the tools, a few guards bustled into the room. Two of the guards grabbed the lycan and threw him against the wall. "New orders from the boss," one said with an evil grin. "You are being relocated." Once he was down, they kicked him in the stomach a couple of times and began to pull him out of the room. They dragged him out into the hall, then pointed guns at him, looking on and daring him to make a move. The other two guards in the torture room sewed the vampire up and then practically tossed him into the hall with Kain. Guards did the same to Kaori and Alfons, and all of the other prisoners in the torture rooms. Once everyone was out in the halls, the guards forced the prisoners forward, and carried the injured with them.
Ten minutes later, everyone was escorted into a small court-yard looking area, enclosed in (essentially) a giant cage. Not caring about the injured, they threw them around the courtyard, all the while the other guards aimed their weapons at the uninjured. Finally, when all of the injured were thrown in, all of the guards bustled out and locked the cage on the way out.
Daniel opened and closed his eyes, trying to keep conscious as the guard, very poorly, stitched the vampire up. The next thing he knew, he was lifted into the air, and then tossed out of the room, and onto the floor. As soon as the pain shot through his body, he was out cold.
Daniel sat up, his eyes adjusting to the bright light. He reached his hand to his chest, then to his neck, then he looked at his hand. He was fine. Was the torture session a dream? Had he just been sleeping? That had to be it. Daniel looked around and smiled up at the bright blue sky, decorated with small puffs of white, and a fluttering black object every so often.
He took in a breath of fresh air and stood up. He turned around and saw his house. It had felt like he had been away for a lifetime, and now here he was after one small nap. The young man took one step, then two, then three; before he knew it, he was stepping into the house he had called home for, now, 19 years or so.
"Mom? Pop? Anyone home?"
No answer.
Daniel walked into the kitchen, then to the living room, then to the family room, then to the garage. Nothing. It didn't even look like anyone was home. He got to the stairs and looked up. It was dark, darker than the rest of the house, which probably meant that they weren't home. But if they had left, why did they let him be asleep outside? Nothing made sense. So, after some hesitation, he made his way upstairs.
"Hello? Anyone home?"
Still no answer as he checked his sister's room, his grandma's room, and the bathroom the three of them shared. Still no sign of anyone. All that was left was the master bedroom, which, oddly, was closed. He made his way to the door and slowly opened the door, and stepped inside.
"Mom? Pop? Anyo-"
Daniel froze in place and his eyes widened. There was blood everywhere, but no bodies. He went into panic mode. Someone had broken in, someone had done something to his family, but where were they? His eyes darted around the room, and stopped when he looked at the floor. There was a thick trail of blood, like that of a body being dragged, and stopped inside the master bathroom. Daniel rushed into the bathroom, and almost threw up at the sight inside. His family was basically torn to shreds in the neck, they were all just thrown around the bathroom. Something caught his eye in the mirror in front of him-- a small movement-- and he looked up. He was covered in blood, from his mouth, all the way down his front. He had fangs, he had dark, lifeless eyes, and his fingernails were long and jagged. He looked down when he saw some more movement, and saw his sister looking at him with white eyes. She held up her hand and pointed at him, and her lips begin to move. Daniel couldn't make out what she was saying, so he leaned in closer to get a better listen. He still couldn't hear. He leaned down more, almost to the point of touching the side of his face to her lips. Tears were streaming down his face, and when he heard her words, they wouldn't stop.
"You did this, Danny... You killed us... You are a monster..."
Daniel opened his eyes when he hit the ground again, and made a small groan. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He needed to get out, or killed. The latter was sounding really good, though.
