Appearance:

Personality: Dutiful, Proud, Boring. Kieran appears to be the boring knight who fights only because it's what he is told, however, Kieran fights to protect his mother, who is unable to work, and all of the money that he obtains is sent home to her. Kieran fights to make sure that he can get home to his mother, who is everything to him. He is not someone who cares about what others think about him. He is not a philosophical person, and his thoughts are mostly occupied by fighting strategies.

Short Biography: Born in solis, Kieran was raised by his mother alone, after his mother had a severe injury that left her without he right arm, and without the ability to use the other, Kieran went to the military academy in order to learn to defend her, he eventually took up mercenary work in order to finance his mother's care. Travelling the lands, he eventually found the guild, joining because it paid well, with many of the other members believing him to be greedy, however he didn't join to make people like him. The falling stars are just another job to him.

Also @Renny, it seems like Thora would be the ideal dragon for one that is scared of them. She's tiny, for a dragon, and looks a lot "neater" and "nicer" xD

Name: Melaniya (Mel) Shadowbird

Sword: A straight double edged 28" sword wielded with either one or two hands.
Dagger: A 10" straight double edged dagger.
Hook Swords: A pair of double hook swords connected by a sturdy chain, the length of Melaniya's wing span. Only used in high risk situations.
Armor: Light and easy to move in, but still durable.(Similar to picture)

Appearance:
Melaniya's skin scars pretty easily, so many small scars litter her skin. The largest one is on her back, it runs diagonally between her shoulder blades, and is also the most prominent.

Personality: Melaniya is a no nonsense kind of girl. She's hardworking and curious. There are times where she pushes herself too far and needs to be reminded to take a break. She is fairly harsh when it comes to training and battle. When Mel has a task to do, she'll see it through to the end. While she finds it difficult to relate to other humans, she tries her best to get along with them. On the other hand, Mel feels more at ease with the dragons, and tends to feel more of an emotional bond with dragons than she does with humans.

Short Biography: Mel can barely remember spending the beginning of her life in Lunaris. They were surprisingly happy times, but then Mel's mother died of a disease that she can't remember and her father refuses to remember. Mel was 5 at the time of her mother's death. Her father didn't handle the situation well. Unable to stand the land that brought so many painful memories back, he brought Mel to Solaris to try and escape the past. Eventually, Mel's father became an alcoholic. Early in his alchohol addiction, he was violent. He was the one who created Mel's large scar. However, as time went on, his drunken state was more depressing. Mel had to take care of not only herself, but her pathetic father as well. Once she started noticing the falling stars she became interested in them. She found out about the White Dove while doing research and started training with weaponry and dragons to get in.

Arm span or wing span...?

I know there's a rider interested in pairing with Freya, but does anyone else have a preference for my character? I just want to make sure that pairing isn't totally up to a "me first!" sorta thing, if it means possibly missing out on an otherwise unique / fun opportunity with two good characters.

@BytheSpleen I probably wouldn't worry about it too much until we have everyone's chars organized and ready.

They are used interchangeably. I'm just use to calling it wingspan.

Also I think riders and Dragons should be paired after everyone has made their character.

Agreed! Waiting until every CS is in is logical.

On that note, hope everyone is having a great day! With school and work, I'm just excited to come back here and check on the progress of things. :) Can't wait to start !
