Beatrix Durandal

Beatrix nodded to Matt's comment on how long it had been, it really had been a good while since she had been here

"It is a shame that I had to step out to manage my shop but when the time comes for birthdays and holiday's everyone sees to want one of my dolls."

With that they got back to talking about jobs, she noticed a few interesting ones, but really the missing girl was something she was most suited too to say the least.

"Well the dark guild may not even be real and just rumors, but time will tell. I shall even see what I hear while searching for the girl. Who knows something interesting may come of it, not to mention if you are going then maybe i can finally witness your full power?"

She could not help but give a devilish smirk at that, the chance to see a S-class unleash themselves, or any true warroir for that matter, was a sight the girl longed for.

"Of course I shall first be eating, a fine meal to fit my tastes-,"

Her eyes were suddenly drawn to who had some to be known as the Silent Mage, or Sage if you wanted to use his name, but what she saw confused her a little. Her eyes darted from the paper he was holding to the mission board and back again, but before she even turned back around he was already making his way out of the Guild Hall! She turned to Matt, a look of disbelief across her face

"I swear I mentioned that I would be taking that mission, correct? He clearly must be confused! I will be sure to correct this mistake right away. I shall see you soon Matt."

Without even waiting for a explanation she gave off a small wave of her hand to get her chair and guardians moving. However before leaving the blackened angel made sure to write Beatrix's name on the note as well, a small drawing of a chibi version of one of the angels giving a peace sign was a sort of 'seal' it seemed. With that the three left the guild hall just as fast as they had come, tho that was just like how Beatrix was, like a golden hurricane! Soon enough she had caught up to sage, her chair using its fore legs to make its way in front of the man, keeping itself walking if he continued to do so, but at the same time keeping its mistress facing the man.

"Halt, Sage. I know I am humble in my speech and you may not have heard but I did say I could be taking this job. After all I have numbers and children love me. Of course you are free to accompany me on this mission if you so wish~"

A wide grin crossed her lips at that point...

"I shall take your silence as agreement~"

A Silent Sage,

Daily life

There was the first hiccup, Beatrix had caught up to him, and quite fast he might add. "Halt, Sage. I know I am humble in my speech and you may not have heard but I did say I could be taking this job. After all I have numbers and children love me. Of course you are free to accompany me on this mission if you so wish~"

His left eye twitched, her speech and air around her was very similar, more like his former childhood friend. Sage wasn't the type of show emotions. Heck, a rock would have more emotions that him. The white haired mage ceased his walking as looked at the blonde haired girl, then the puppets the followed her. What he could collect: She was a cripple, taken down by an illness the followed her since childhood, just like not being born with vocal chords, Beatrix was confined to the chair she was currently on.

Sage sighed once again and stood back. Then bowed before standing up once more and sidestepped the girl. Leaving a note on her lap with out showing any evidence that he did write that note.

A skill he was proud of.

>I humbly decline your offer, i did hear you mention that you wanted to take this mission. But as the saying goes: First come first served. I declared my intentions to complete this mission, yet you expressed interest.

He paused before leaving other note on the face of the puppet on her right.

>There will be no agreeing in this matter on who follows who, yet i will no stop you, if you want to chose this mission, but we will be going separate ways. I work alone and i also have ways. Mission like these are simple.

With that Sage walked of and waved Beatrix farewell..or that he was least expected. Her eyes held determination and he respected that. Luckily Sage's house was nearby, heading inside his house and grabbing his travel bag, hood and coat. The silent mage headed towards the station. Unfortunately not by himself.

Beatrix raised a eye brow as the note was placed onto her lap, this was the first time she had ever had to really communicate this way but she made sure not to be rude and read the note, though when she did she crumpled it up in slight frustration! Her chair turned sharply to face the man walking away, but when she did her guardian was leaning over so its face was right infront of Beatrix's, the note clearly visible so that she could read it...

"How bothersome..."

Moments later as Sage was making his way towards the station, the sound of flapping followed after him as both of the angel puppets were lifting their mistresses chair above the ground and carrying her so that they could follow Sage to the station.

"It is fine. I understand if you misunderstood my lovely offer. I shall still allow you to come along, after all there is only one way to go."

The chair was gently placed down beside Sage where it continued to walk on its own, the owner still sitting in it with a smile across her face like she had done something really nice for someone...

"Besides, as I mentioned, I am perfect for this job. I shall even pay for our tickets, as a sign that I have truely accepted your aid."

@Ira

The mission back at the ogre cave was surely some mission, when they were going to be assured victory a mysterious woman just came in and attack of four of them. She had been thinking about a lot, about if she's going to get as strong as Kuroku, who was an S-Class wizard. Or to even make it herself to be an S-Class, she was told that she had the potential by other guild members, but she knew that it wouldn't be so easy to reach that goal. She had also been thinking about that mysterious boy, the one who was called Ira. She didn't quite understand what he even wanted, and she was told that Ira had been looking for her for some odd reason.

Why look for me? There's nothing special about me, I'm just your regular beginner mage who uses fire magic. Taka had continuously thought this to herself, this was just a mystery in itself. And people are even suggesting that I love that bastard?! Who would love a creep like him! Taka thought to herself before she stomped the ground, she was outside the guild hall getting her thoughts out so she can focus for the day ahead.

Taka had slapped her cheeks with both of her hands and shook her head before looking up at the guild hall and somewhat smiling.

"This place, really is my home." Taka said as she continued to smiling, before heading into the guild hall.

Alexandre Cross

Alexandre didn't go on a job the other day, he wanted to get used to how a guild would work and accustom to the changes in his life. Before he had been travelling the world figuring out what to do with his life, and how he could support people with his unique and even scary magic. Alexandre even had the slightest comments of being called a 'vampire', because of his use with blood, despite the fact he doesn't even consume it in the first place. He had problems as a child using his magic, because it can get him sick rather easily, but now that he's grown up and accustom to it, the chance of that happening is a little less.

Alexandre was sitting at a table thinking to himself, he wanted to go on a job with some people, but he had no idea who he wanted to join. And, well he was a little bit shy you could put it. He looked at the glass of wine that was in front of him on the table, staring into the substance that resided in the glass. Hm... what am I going to do today? I have to get some extra money for some rent. Alexandre had thought to himself, closing his eyes as he saw mages walking by rushing to the job board.

“Fire Dragon’s Great Breakdown!” The words echoed for several miles, the severity of the bellow was perfectly made out. A tall explosion rocked the tree-line and painted the sky a burning orange before crackling away to embers.

Isshum fist was black within whooshing flames from his attack. With a quirked-up eyebrow, he examined the uprooted, twisted, and charred trees surrounding him. Disappointment lowered his brows and fixed a frown on his face.

“Dammit,” he said calmly, the tone completely alien from his usual demeanor. He extinguished the flame on his fist with quick flicks of his wrist. “I’m nowhere near strong enough to show my face to him yet. A monster is all he’ll see. That’ll change once I become a hero though… hopefully.”

* * * * *

He packed his sleeping bag with his rations ontop before heaving them onto his back. First thing was to find Vi and Belial so they could continue on their way. No single headquarters was the official headquarters of Fiore’s one true guild. And there was plenty of missions swimming around the country. The best ones were located in the isolated regions, where mages dared not go.

Walking into the guild hall with his usual, lighthearted smirk, Isshum was quick to find a seat near the entrance. He folded his arms across his chest and tapped foot against the ground repeatedly. “They better show up quick.”

@WaddleDaisy

Ira reached the guildhall faster than he’d expected to. Maybe it was the anxiousness building inside him to see Taka. He didn’t quite understand why the wanted to see the girl so bad. She’d only stopped him from destroying a guildhall. Why did he feel the need for emotional ties. It could be that this would be his first date ever , since he’d previously been on a world-wide search for the remnants of Zeref. It seemed he never had the choice of being a teenager. His only goal didn’t consist of such things as love and girlfriends. Ira felt he was thinking too deeply about the situation and its dexterity. He had become so lost in thought he didn’t notice Taka standing in front of the building. She’d randomly clasped her face in between her hands , as if a sign of embarrassment then proceed towards the guild’s entrance. This was Ira’s chance to talk to her away from the rest of her strange companions. He pulled down his face mask and began to speak.

“ Well aren’t you a sight for sore eyes. You’re really a hard person just to run into . For a moment I thought you had planned to skip out on our date.” , Ira smiled as he extended his hand as an invitation towards Taka. He smile was quite sincere. It had to be the first one since that fateful day he desecrated his village. This feeling was something he couldn’t quite place a finger on but he enjoyed the company of this female. “Are you gonna stand there or are we eating?”,Ira coaxed his younger counterpart.

"Well the dark guild may not even be real and just rumors, but time will tell. I shall even see what I hear while searching for the girl. Who knows something interesting may come of it, not to mention if you are going then maybe I can finally witness your full power?"

"Maybe..." Matt responds while thinking about perhaps going, "Perhaps I might come along after reading the papers.""

And that was when he was interrupted by Sage and his note that he will be going alone. It was slightly annoying for someone to take a mission right before one would, but either way, he fears that his massive size may intimidate the little girl a bunch.

"I swear I mentioned that I would be taking that mission, correct? He clearly must be confused!" "

"I hear Sage often does that," the brawn man responds, "Or maybe he's just quick on the dot..."

"I will be sure to correct this mistake right away. I shall see you soon Matt."

"Farewell Ms. Durandal." Matt calls out as he continues to read the last few articles.

Eventually a bartender came a long and asked Matt for his order.

"Would you like the usual sir?" the tender asked kindly, "The triple decker pancake stack with extra syrup and some coffee?"

"Indeed." Matt answers calmly as his order was issued.

In 5 minutes, the meal was ready and Matt devoured the whole meal in only a minute. He was a really hefty eater and who would blame him? He's metabolism is quite fast for a giant of a man as him. Suddenly, he has the urge to walk outside again. He pays the waiter, and gives him a nice tip, and walks out of the hall building and onto the streets. What will he do now? Who knows?

Kuroku Nagasai

Kuroku was lounging in the lounge calmly sipping some coffee in a lazy-looking posture. As he glances towards the guild hall, he happens to see the new recruit, Alexandre, looking at the available jobs. The Ice Mage gets up and slowly approaches behind him, also looking at the jobs as well.

"Plenty of jobs out there huh?" he says just as he comes behind him, "Found one that suits your fancy?"

Before Taka headed into the guild hall, the male that she was thinking about just before was standing right behind her, and speaking to her. She widened her eyes as she turned around to face him, listening to him speak. It's this person again. Tch. And when I tried to get you out of my head so I can go on a job with the team. Taka had thought to herself, gritting her teeth slightly before she breathed in to calm down. She then decided to speak back to the male with a calm and somewhat confident voice.

"Just for a date? Are you really lusting for me that much? If you are so devoted to I guess I can give you one just this once, but this isn't for me it's for you cause I want you to stop bothering me! And no creepy stuff!" Taka said as she pointed towards him, now she was being your stereotypical tsundere, but did she really even have feelings for him? It might just be denial, but it might not be. She just needs to know this mysterious male a little more, maybe she could even convince him to join the guild?

Taka then noticed Matt had walked out of the guild, looking like he needed some fresh air or something. She could already tell that a fight could most likely break out.

Alexandre Cross

Alexandre glanced over to the one who was talking to him, saying that there were plenty jobs and if he's found one yet. Alexandre shook his head in response with a calm smile. "Honestly, it would be my first job in a guild, maybe being with some comrades would be the best bet. I'm not the person to choose one over many, because the rest of them could be equally as great." Alexandre said as he retained his small smile, looking around the job board. He took a sip from his glass of wine, he hadn't had a good drink like this in a very long time.

Reminds me of back home...

“Ha. Lusting? That’s a bit much if you ask me. You promised me this date in return for not destroying your friend, or did you forget? One date will rid me from your life. That’s the least you can do . So let’s go .” , Ira felt sort of embarrassed. He didn’t expect Taka to be so mean about their little adventure. Did he really seem lustful? The girl’s response had him deeply questioning himself. Honestly he never knew how to act around females. Maybe he was acting awkward or maybe he came on too strong. He decided it may be best not to think so much. Besides there was a pretty girl waiting for him.

Meanwhile in reality , a fully satisfied Matt had just came outside . This aroused Ira senses. He immediately felt the tension but thought it would be best just to leave the situation alone. After all fighting is what ended him up in this predicament in the first place. He couldn’t help himself . He just had to say something. “ Isn’t it a little too early for you to be showing your face nightcrawler?” That’s what happened when Ira turned his brain off.

Damon Phobos

Damon stood in the Guildhall with a flustered look having just visited his mother in the hospital. He was not irritated by her being there as the woman had been hospitalized ever since before Damon was ever born. Damon never understood how his mother survived even child birth in her condition but he knew she was strong for being able too. His mother's condition had never changed all the years he was alive and it even caused her to miss certain years which never fazed him. For a good portion of his life, Damon trained under the illustrious Gildarts. It made him far more famous then he wanted to be. This included people staring at him, like they were doing now, and others proclaiming him as the wizard jesus even though it was Natsu who saved the world and not Gildarts. Regardless Damon's mood wasn't the best at the current moment. He had been waiting on Alexandre, Ren, and Blanche for over an hour now.

"Where are these chumps? I sent them a telepathic message an hour ago." Damon muttered to himself before stomping the ground below him, causing it to crack a bit but send a familiar rumble throughout the area that only the team would understand who it is.

Marcus “Limbo” Clementine

The early morning sunrise pierced through cracks in the ceiling of the guild hall, shining a warm light upon the face of a slumbering Marcus. The light caused him discomfort as he was trying to sleep. He was not a morning person. He stirred a little at the bar, groaning as he shifted his face away from the light to continue snoozing. Normally he'd prefer to spend his mornings in a warm, soft bed. Unfortunately for him, he was out of money and couldn't pay for another night in his hotel room. So the guild hall was his temporary home. The thought of an official member telling him he wasn't allowed to stay didn't bother him, since he intended to earn some money today to help pay for an apartment.

Yet at this moment, none of that was of pressing importance. Even in his sleep he could hear the chatter about who would be taking what jobs. All logic told him that he should get up and make sure he gets a high paying job before they are all gone. His only thought on the matter was how much he really didn't want to wake up. He used his sketchbook as a pillow, opened up to a drawing of the guild hall he'd spent last night working on.

Alice Vetrov

One of the perks of being a busy person was that you became quite accustomed to the idea of not wasting a single waking moment of the day. From the moment she had woken, Alice had began working. She spoke to her comrades across the country that were running her academy for her through thought projection, all whilst enjoying breakfast and dressing herself and James for the day. While she and her son walked through market stalls, purchasing ingredients for lunch to be made at the Guild Hall, Alice was browsing over order forms for supplies she'd needed to be shipped in. Even as she sat in the Guild Hall, sharing a cup of warm milk with James, she was filling out forms and going over her files for reference all whilst a thought projection of an elderly man stood behind her; reading from his own set of files.
"Everything is prepared for this years graduation ceremony, Provost Alice." He flipped through the pages, signing each sheet with such ease that paperwork must have been a hobby of his. "I trust you will be sending a Thought Projection over for the ceremony?"
Alice helped James take a sip from the glass, worrying that it may be too hot for his hands. She smiled at her comrade's projection and spoke with an unusual amount of energy for the early morning.
"Don't be silly, Professor. I will be attending the event in person. It would be insulting to send a mere copy of myself. This is a new wave of fully trained Healers being sent out into the world, after all. I want them to see just how important their mission is, and what better way to do so than be there to congratulate them in person?"

The man nodded in approval, a smile of delight plastered across his face.
"I couldn't agree more, Madame. The other members of faculty will be delighted to hear of your return after so long. I shall make the necessary preparations at once." With those final, eager words, the Thought Projection dissipated and left Alice alone with James at a table filled with paperwork. James sat there, happily stamping away at the papers while he enjoyed his milk. Alice always made it a point to involve him in what she did, and even though he couldn't read what was written down on the papers; he very much enjoyed stamping them for his mother. Alice stood up from the table, patting James on the head.
"Your stamping is so neat this morning, sweetie. You're my favorite little helper." The young boy beamed up at his mother, his mop of blond hair messily covering his azure eyes. With one final sip, James finished his milk and stood.
"I'll give it back to the lady!" He ran off through the guild hall, the mug firmly grasped by both of his hands.

Alice turned to face the entrance where Isshum had just shown up. He looked like he was waiting for someone. Alice buttoned up her white lab coat fully, moving her glasses from her forehead to cover her eyes. Her short hair was tied up into a neat little bun. The woman practically glowed of professionalism, and whilst one might have found her attire excessive for the guild hall, this was how she preferred to work. She walked over to the young Dragon Slayer and cheerfully spoke, commenting on his expression.
"Awaiting your friends are you?" Alice could see that he'd been training in the early morning, which was quite impressive to her. To be so resolved at such a young age reminded her of her late brother. "In truth, I've actually been waiting for you three as well. Is our arrangement still in place?" Alice was referring to seeking their assistance with setting up her office. It wasn't exactly an exciting job, but she was willing to pay for their help. Young James skipped happily back towards his mother, having returned the mug to the bartender.
"Mommy! I gave it back!" James came to a halt upon seeing Isshum, nervously burying his face into the side of Alice's leg. "Uh..."

Alice affectionately patted her son on the back, slightly pushing him forward to greet Isshum.
"Don't be rude James. Say good morning." The young boy stared at his feet, not very much enjoying the company of strangers around his mother.
"Good morning," he said reluctantly, frowning at his feet in displeasure. It was quite amusing to see him so defensive.

I S S H U M.

His waiting was cut short by a sudden scent, one that wafted first in front of him before sliding into his nose. Isshum turned his head towards her before she had asked her question, his hands stuffed in his pockets with impatience speaking through his body.

For whatever reason though, he tried to fix his intolerant position. He poorly straightened himself up, fiddled with the sideward strands of his immaculate hair as she stepped in front of him. In the back of his head, something reached towards this motherly figure. Though, he couldn’t quite pin-point it. It was wholly instinctual cause he didn’t remember her in the slightest.

Before speaking, Isshum’s hearing picked up on a distracting conversation. Had he heard Taka? A stranger was with her too, one who’s voice was annoying charming. It pricked with little daggers to just to listen. He shivered lightly before zoning them out and returning to the lab-coat.

“Umm, yea. How’d you know? Are you some psychic or something?” Isshum quickly waved his hands and that idiotic question away. “Sorry, I’m not thinking again. But why are you waiting for them? Wait, did you say you three? Me too?” he wondered, slowly but unknowingly pointing his index finger at his face.

When the small child approached his mother and moments later hid behind her leg, Isshum looked towards him with pouted lips and a quirked brow. “Your kid? He looks awfully cowardly. Is he usually this afraid of people?” He awaited her answer before continuing with his idea.

Taking a knee two or three feet from the kid, Isshum extended tight fist towards him. “Watch this,” he told the kid with awe, his tone once again betraying his idiolect; that tone of innocence and childish thinking. “It’s going to be brilliant.”

He brought his index finger up and ignited a sparkler at its tip. The colorful crackles that came from the white flame was harmless and only minutely warm. With a smirk, he quickly brought his finger into his palm and extinguished the light.

“You should treat them with understanding, young one. Even things that are scary … because you never know,” he stood up slowly and raised his still fisted hand into the air, a sizzling emanating from within. “They might just dazzle ya.” He swiped his hand high over his head, etching six floating sparklers into the sky. The light from it darkened the room and casted shadows around them, but in front of Alice and her child, the fireworks would cast a brilliant array of oranges and whites.

“They could also disappear quickly so you have to cherish the memories you make too. At least, that’s what someone told me.”

With a reverse swipe, he cut the sparklers from existence and smiled at the boy. He hated to admit it but the fear in the child's eyes had stirred dark memories. Ones that he felt inclined to ignore, no matter what the cost would be.

A Warm Beatrix, A Cold Sage Pt 1

Magnolia, Train Station, Platform 13

True to this name, the white haired mage continued to uphold his title as he ventured towards the trainstation, he silent declined Beatrix's offer to pay for their tickets. Instead he paid for a sigle first class ticket. He never liked ecomony class, and surely Beatrix did to. Asusming that she would follow (Hoping that she wouldn't.). Sage said down at the nearby seat and opened up his duffle bag, fishing out a small novel as he opened the page from where he left off.

"............." Sage would continue to keep silent, Beatrix on the other hand would have a different opinion.

Beatrix had followed Sage all the way to the train, thankfully she had some kind of unqiue pass that allowed her puppets to ride free, likely due to the fact they were not considered real people and could reasliy be stored in the overhead compartments. Convenient. When she reached the booth, her infulance easliy allowing her to force the issue of her getting the seat within the same booth as him.

"I think we should talk about battle plans, since we cannot just go around without any direction! Allow me to see the poster please!"

Beatrix held out her hand, all the while the white angel had picked her up from her throne and had placed her into the booth, the chair looked kinda confused at this. " Ora, ora~ Go and get some snacks." She shooed the chair away with the black angel to obtain the needed snacks.

As Sage saw Beatrix order the white angle to get some snacks, he shurgged as he handed the mission slip to the girl before returning to his book. He had already made a plan to search the arround forest and beach. In his time of training, he learn that even the smallest clue can lead to treasure...or so to speak.

Sage sighed for the umptenth time before looking up the beatrix, deciding to hear her out and see her plan of attack, he sent a note her way.

>I'm all ears.

The girl looked amused for a moment as he sighed, clearly he was so thankfuly to have her along so that she could provide such a lovely plan as she was about to give! Reading the note only comfirmed her guess, and after leaning back in the chair to get more relaced she gestured to the slip which she had already read.

"It is rather simple, looking around like a mad man wont get us anywhere. I can use up to ten of my faceless pupepts to look around for us while we ask around about if any other children have gone missing. If they have then I can use a child puppet to draw whatever happened to the child out."

She looked a little spent on that fact. "Of course it could all just mean nothing and she could just be lost. Still, betetr safe than sorry."

Sage nodded, if was a excellent plan. It was true that he wasn't good with little kids, heck his facial expression and aura around him was enought to make them cry. Crossing over her plan with his. It was simple enough.

>Then we'll make this a two front plan, you interact with the civies in Cedar city, i will search for clues around the outskirts.

Sage passed on the note to Beatrix, although we wouldn't admit it, his mission could go smoother with two mages working together, and yet serperatly. But the nagging feeling of a similar mission was about to take place. it wasn't a mission he undertook. He couldn't put his finger on it, but it was nagging him.

>If you would excuse me, i would like to read my book in peace.

Beatrix nodded happliy when he had agreed to use her plan like that, it seems she was right about the fact that he could see just how wonderful working with her truely was! She sensed the chair and Shi returning so she motioned for Ari to help her sit up, which she did tho it seemed that the white angel took it on itself to brush the noble girls hair a few times before she just brushed the puppets actions off as if she was not fully in control.

"Would you care for any snacks? I had my servants bring as many as they could so that we could pick whenever we wanted."

Taking a look she could not help but ask something she had been wondering for a good while now, after all she had seen him with that book, or others like it a few times.

"Do you enjoy reading?"

---

>Thank you, but no thank you.

Sage didn't bother looking up from his book as the young girl offer up food for him to eat, having already eaten in the morning before napping at the guilds rafter. Sage wondered if this girl was going to be annoying, so far she wasn't. As long as she did her part and he did his. There wasn't going to be a problem. Soon Beatrix asked a question. To which he replied.

>Not particulary, but it helps pass the time.

However the sudden urge of reading soon left him as he closed the book gently, folding the page where he was currently at. He soon opted to look outside the window, he didn't notice that the train was already moving towards their destination.

'At the pace, Cedar city will be in sight within another hour.' he mused lightly. He soon casted a quick gaze at the puppet, he had never seen a puppet user before, sure there was Sherry blendy, a former guild mate at lamia scale who used living doll magic. A noticed tug on his lip could been seen as he turned his head back to the world outside.

The girl decided to pick something at random, a bar of rich dark chocolate which she happly munched on with a smile across her face. However she noticed that her minion was having some ploblems with not accepting her offer so she motioned for the black angel Shi to do something about it. A moment later the note that Sage had placed down was covered by a mountain of snacks from the chair, obscuring it from Beatrix ever reading it.

"Enjoy, I have to keep the one that is working with me healthy after all! We dont have all that much time before the next stop so enjoy yourself! KWhahahaha~ Munch, munch~"

Sage's right eye twiched with annoyance as he was covered with confectionaries all around him. 'This girl...' Close his eye he sent a pluse of magical energy around the room, before lifting his left index finger into the air, on command the snacks floated into the air before sage neatly piled the next to Beatrix in a neat fashion. A grunt of annoyance was sent her way as sage set his finger down.

>I'm not hungry, thank you very much.

He was now praying that Beatrix would not taken advantage of his paitents. Settling into his seat, sage closed his eyes and started to nap.

Slowly but surely a wrapped snack cake slowly came down from above him, as if on a invisable string it bounced up and down like bait on a fishing line. The two angels were gathering the remaining snacks up into a basket. It seemed she had not given up on this, after all she had to feed him something, she was being so nice as to offer it to him as well.

"Either way, lets see. How long until we reach the next stop?"

This girl was really testing his limits, he was beginning to think if this was a bad idea. But soon as they set foot in the city, Sage was have to grit his teeth and head to the lost child's families house to get some more info frmo them. After that he was head to the forest where silence would welcome him.

>......Half an hour.

The snack cake ploped onto the table as Beatrix decided to just leave it there for the time being, her two angel servants had taken it on themselves to start brushing the girls rather long hair. Though she just decided to ignore their actions for the time being as they had half a hour to kill so why not start by asking some hard hitting qrestions? A smirk crossed her lips as she leaned forward on the table, her elbows supporting her as she rested her chin on her hands.

"If we are going to work together, I think we should know a little more about each other right? I must always keep a close and protective eye on those that work under me after all~ So, what powers do you have Mr 'Devil'?"

Opening one eye, Sage stared at the young upcoming mage. Another sigh escaped his lips. 'Of course she would want to know how i came to be how i am, however.'

>You say that you must keep an eye on me, i find that hard to believe since i am 20 and your are 16, not near the legal age as well.

He hid his smirk underneath his persona.

>You not need to be concerned about my wellbeing, i have been alone enough to take care of myself. The poeple i have trusted have long left me.

Then it hit him.

>Are you familar with Makarove Dreyers words: 'There are people in this world who prefer solitude. But there is no one who can withstand it.' I am a living conradiction to those words. I have been alone and i've always liked it that way.

Sage wondered if he should tell her about Black void Unlimited, but decided againest that, it would be a treat to see her reaction towards it.

>My current magic is Gravity, as you saw with the confectionaries before. My secondary and previous magic are none of our concern. I will not ask question, mainly for the fact I am not interested about you.

Letting his lone eye close, he proceeded to sleep again, unfortunaly he would be awoken again. It seemed the Beatrix was going to grill him.

"Oh ho? I had heard you could achive much more, a intresting prospect to see it if you are keeping it hidden"

Beatrix only remained smileing towards the man with not a hint of change, her very presence outdid most adults let along people her own age. One could clearly see the girls mayjor weaknesses and yet despite all this she was calm an forceful in all things... A intimadating girl to ordinary people to say the least. No matter their ages Beatrix clearly gave off the feeling that she was in control of this conversation.

"His words are wise, no one can truely be alone and remain sane... I am never alone, my connections and my feelings are far more powerful than any sort of isolation that would be placed on me."

Staring at sage for a few moments she was checking over him, seeing what kind of person he was from his small movements and actions, each sigh told her something new. He had not stopped talking to her, so that was at least something that she could use for the time being.

"Well, my magic is made rather clear is it not? Though I am a little sad that you do not trust me of all people enough to tell me what you are capable of."

---

>There was a time.

Sage mind started to wander back to the days of Lamia Scale, back when he was a S-class mage, Back when he, Hana, Stacy and Annabeth were the most powerful team in the GMG. But nothing stayed the same forever. Bountries shift and people change...much like the silent mage.

>Then hold on to what you believe in, that is all i have to say.

Just like how Beatrix was seeing for any small movements or twiches. Sage kept her at arms length. It was proper manner to answer a young maidens question. Just like his aunt told him. There was nothing more to it.

>Trust is not the main issue here, i just want to be by myself.

Sage would answer the maidens question, but at the same time, lead her around the bush. There was no need to stick her nose where it didn't belong.

"Bah, it is fine I will be here to make sure others do not bother you... I was wondering something...."

She either did not understand what he meant by alone or did not care about that fact. However it seemed to not matter as she had already changed the topic onto something that was a rather sensitive issue, something she hoped would crack the mans rather stone like persona, even for a second. Besides it was not like he was going to tell anyone that the great Beatrix had a opinion on something so big as the guild.

"Do you ever miss the times of the old guilds? I would often be taken to visit some famous guilds when I was a child, just before the war... They felt so different than the current guild."

".............." Sage stayed silent, decided to thank her or not, he opted to wave it off. 'This girl...."

It came to attention that she would not leave him alone, not unless force had to be use, but doing that would prove unwise, he would have to deal with the guild and then the council. Something he would rather stay away from.

>The guilds in the past and the Guild of today...they are much the same, Just like now. I stayed away from the spotlight and worked in my own accord, did mission and took orders from the guild master.

Sage knew that it would be polite to listen to her, feinting sleep would only insult her. Sighing once again, the white haired mage shifted position and got himself in a better position and waited for more questions to come his away.

"Attention all passenger, we will be arriving in Ceder city in 10 minutes."

"No... They are not the same at all"

For the first time her rather forceful yet cheerful tone had stoped, giving way to a rather sharp opinion that held some kind of grand passion behind it. The two angels had reached to brushing the rest of the girls hair, tho she just waved them away from her face so that she could talk to Sage. Her look held a lot of passion for the subject of guilds, she held the old guilds in such high regaurd.

"Family, that is what is differant. The guild today is nothing but a job, somewhere to learn and be apart of something... But the guilds of the past held true meaning, they were like a family and had close bonds that... I saw such grand guilds back then, but now? People in the guild hall may as well mostly be strangers if you are a low enough 'rank'"

>Family....

Sage mind flashed back to his family and lamia scale once again...Sage gripped the arms of his chair as he breathed through his nose.

>Close bonds....friends.....disgusting.

His calm yellows eyes would soon shift into blood red eyes with vertical slits, his white hair would become feral and wild. Sage would go back on his word and give his one and only question.

>Does 'family' treat you like a monster?

She had finally done it, she cracked sage: but for the wrong reason. Not wanting anymore nor did he want her to see him enraged. Sage closed his eye and stood up leaving the blonde haried girl in the booth with her puppets.

>Not every mages advetnure was a Fairy tale. I'll come back for my bag later.

Before he left her, he sent her one last note.

>Hence the reason i prefer the guild of today. I am a 'stranger'.

Beatrix paused for a moment, both her angels looking towards the cracked Sage as he placed his last note before leaving, thankfuly not with his bag so he was at least going to come back for it. She felt like she had really steped on a land mine there, and without any chance to speak up before he left she had no choice but to remain sitting there until the train arrived at the station...

As time ticked by, the two mages arrived in Cedar city. Sage having cooled of reutrned back to the booth. Not saying anything to Beatrix, the white haired mage picked up his bag and exited the train. The would soon followed.

>We head to the lost girls family home. Then we part ways and regroup tonight.

As Matt was walking out the building, he begins to sense that very same dark aura from yesterday. Now, he would've ignored it, if only hadn't the dark mage barked an insult at him. And it was that very question Ira made, that broke the Lizardking's peace. Matt stops dead after being insulted, huffing and puffing in a rising anger that begins to engulf his whole body. He looks back at Ira ominously, who happened to be very close to Taka. Was this man attempting to kidnap her? Was he going to rape her or enslave her?! Whatever it was, Matt's patience has run out. He growls gutturally as he moves his body towards the dark mage's direction.

"YOU SHOULD'VE KEPT THAT BIG MOUTH OF YOURS SHUT." he growls ominously as ripples of grey scales began to form on his skin, "I THOUGHT YOU WOULD'VE LEARNT YOUR DAMN LESSON BY NOW."

Matt begins walking towards Ira, his whole body rapidly morphing into his 'Lizardking' form, along with his magic aura pulsing powerfully. But this time, this wasn't just an arm or a leg. Oh no... this was his true form. This is him turning into a complete beast! And he has little to no plans of holding it back now...

Kuroku Nagasai

Kuroku nods as he continues to look at the request board.

"Try to go easy first though," he says to Alexandre, "Then progressively you can go for more harder quests~"

But he was cut off by the intimidating aura that began to brew from Matt by the entrance. And in front of him was Taka... and the dark mage again. And Matt seemed like he wasn't going to hold back this time, if hopefully trying to take the fight somewhere else.

"Oh no..." he sighs, "Looks like someone pissed off the Lizardking. I would stay far from him as possible at the moment Alexandre. Prey that he'll take the battle out of the guild hall..."

@Ira@Lmpkio

Ira was right. She did make a promise to him in exchange for the guild to not be destroyed by his powerful magic. Taka had widened her eyes as she realized the current situation that was unearthing itself, Ira said an insult to Matt which means that a massive fight as about to break out. She took a look around at the many civilians, gritting her teeth as she realized that they could be hurt in the process of this fight. "Fire Ring!" She decided to put a ring of fire around to the two, to keep them in a circle as well as to keep the civilians away from their massive fight that was going to unveil. She knew that she wouldn't be able to do anything this time, but the most she could do was protect everybody.

"He's going into his beast form... the whole lot of him..." Taka said as she jumped to the outside of the ring that she created for the two, she rarely ever even saw Matt go into this form. Taka breathed in calmly as she watched the fight, she kind of wanted to see the outcome this time, but if it threatened the entire town she knew that she had to stop it. If she had to, she could get a rune mage to cast them in a sealed box together until one is the winner.

Either Matt... or Ira is going to win.

Alexandre Cross

@Kal-El

Alexandre listened to the advice that was being given to him, he calmly accepted it so that he could potentially be a good guild wizard. He then felt the intimidating aura as well radiating off from Matt, Alexandre could easily tell that he was a wizard not to mess with. He narrowed his eyes at Matt for a second before looking to see Kuroku talk to him again, he decided to reply to him. "Understood, and same here, I'm hoping this beautiful guild hall will not be destroyed." Alexandre said before he felt a small rumble under his seat, he lifted an eyebrow before standing up.

"Oh that's right... I was going to go on my first job with Damon, Ren and Blanche. I'll see you later my friend." Alexandre smiled at Kuroku before he headed towards Damon, he arrived to him and calmly smiled as he apologized. "I'm sorry my friend, I guess I tend to get a little sidetracked you could say. Anyways I'm here for my first job." Alexandre said to Damon.

“ Oooo. A ring of fire and a lizardman . This must be a circus act. Tell me something geico. Why can’t you control your rage? Is it the pea-sized brain encased in that thick skull or maybe it’s something lacking there of?” , Ira taunted Matt as he began to glow in a golden aura. It was unlike the previous fight with with the cheapskate who’d snuck him. He actually knew what this was and planned on showing this guild just show strong and calculated he could me.

“ Sorry didn’t mean to keep you waiting.”, the golden aura careened out of his body into the sky like wavelength in a sound barrier. There was no more holding back. Before his opponent could make the first move, Ira decided he’d do it first. “ Heavenly Body Magic:Mītia(Meteor). In a flash of light Ira was already in the lizardman’s face. He swung directly at his stomach with an outrageous might, the force would be strong enough to make any normal man spill his recent breakfast and a couple guts too. The punch was followed by an overhead kick. Ira was moving at unnatural speed. To most he seemed like just a flash of light. He ended his combination by grabbing the lizard by his face and slamming it into the ground. He knew that wouldn’t be enough to stop the man but at least he looked good doing it.

“ Done already geico? Ira was pushing limits on his power as he was but he didn’t care as long as he could beat the man in hand to hand combat. With Meteor in his arsensal he was faster than Matt but he wasn’t sure of the strength difference. Ira didn’t personally believe Meteor’s strength boost was enough to put down Matt but even so, he strive to see his goals become reality. “ Bring It Matisuki!!” , Ira was excited to see what the lizard had up his sleeve.

Revan

"Fuuuuuuuuccccck . . . and I had just ignored that brat's presence." Revan groaned from his place in the rafters, before jumping down and walking outside. Someone had to make sure that Matt didn't destrpy half the city this time, and Revan was probably the best man for the job.

Stepping out of the guild hall and placing himself next to Taka, he placed ane elbow on the girl's head, using her like an armrest as he watched the fight, studying Ira's opening moves before clicking his teeth.

"Unless your lover boy put's a lot more force into his blows, I doubt that he's going to stand a chance against Matt. Speed will only get you so far in a fight like this. Most ge can do is avoid what Matt throws his way, though again,,he can.t do it forever." Revan watched the battle for a bit longer before he suddenly spoke up, his voice easily carrying across the area. "Oi, Matt, if you can understand me rigt now, tag me in when you've calmed down a little. I still need to teach the shit a lesson, and I can't do that if you kill him."

Matisuki Kiryuin ---> LIZARDMAN

Matt completely ignored Taka's fire ring as he continues morphing into his beast mode. His huffs and puffs begin to sound deeper and more animal-like, his charcoal-black scales covering his tanned skin, his massive claws forming on his fingertips, his eyes beginning to glow a venomous yellow, and his height looming up to a massive 7 feet tall. The Lizardking has finally shown his true form, bringing awe and terror towards innocent bystanders and perhaps some mages alike who were near him. Matt looms down upon the dark mage and growls angrily.

"WE'VE TOLD YOU ONCE... WE'VE TOLD YOU TWICE... AND YET YOU STILL HAVE THE GUTS TO STAND HERE AT OUR HOME." booms Matt furiously as steam begins to flare from his nostrils, "THOSE WHO IGNORE THE WARNING OF THE GUILD, MUST BE PUNISHED! AND YOU WILL FACE THE MIGHT OF THE LIZARDKING!"

Matt wasn't even intimidated by Ira's glowing golden aura as he stands ready to kick some major ass. He knew that he was dealing with a dark mage, a strong one that is. He reminds him of the ancient Zeref, the strongest dark mage in the history of Fiore Kingdom, with an aura distantly reminiscent of that. This was going to be a fight for him. A real one at last.

Ira was the first to strike, punching Matt right in the stomach. While he did feel it, the Lizardking's hard scales were enough to make it feel nothing more then a regular punch. Matt then avoided the dark mage's overhead kick, but couldn't move fast enough to avoid getting his face slammed into the ground. Yet even after that he stands up, hunched into attack mode, and jerks his head to the side. It was at that time when Revan called out to him, saying that he would like a piece when he's done. A toothy smirk and a snort assures him of that. He looks back at Ira.

"CHALLENGE ACCEPTED."

Then suddenly, he quickly turns around, swinging his massive tail at a high speed right towards Ira, which should surely cause anyone to trip and become unbalanced. He then would then issue a massive punch of his own brute muscle and finishes his combo by jabbing his scaly knee onto Ira's soft human skin. With such power and armory at Matt's disposal, they should certainly knock wind out of almost any opponent.

@WaddleDaisy
Kuroku Nagasai

"Take care my friend." Kuroku responds kindly with a wave, "May your first job be successful."

As Alexandre leaves for his first job, the Ice Mage continues to watch the battle as it begins to unfold in the entrance. This will be most certainly an entertaining battle...

Ira was too busy showing off. He didn’t see Matt swing his tail and was instantly swept off his feet. Regaining his composure almost immediately, his enhanced senses kicked in. He begin to calculate the lizard’s next swing, it would probably be a punch of some kind. Most likely slow. He could dodge it with no problem in meteor state , but was quite curious to find out just how hard the lizard hit. Within a second of Matt’s first move, while Ira was hung in the air, a punch was threw with such force it could pummel a building. Ira swiftly dodged the haymaker with a backwards handstand . It was the quickest way to move. He moved even further back toward the magical fire. The lizard had tried to strike him simultaneously but he’d been just too fast. As he moved away he decided it may be best to use a little magic. After all he could fly. It was perfect for his next attack.

“ Nice try , but you’re no match for my speed. I think I’ll show you something your friend hasn’t seen .” Ira’s aura began to flood from within him as he lifted from the ground. No one had ever seen him fly. He just didn’t feel the need for it but for Matt it would be the perfect disadvantage. “ Now watch little geico.” He sped off towards the sky as his opponent below watched. He was now darting around the sky as a firefly would at night. If his opponent was smart enough he’d notice the pattern Ira was forming in the sky. It looked almost like the little dipper but not completely connected. Seven points for seven seals were place the the pattern. Ira stopped and spoke, “ Its obvious I’m not going to beat you hand to hand . So now it time to try something different. Just watch and trust me . You gonna love the show.” He then placed on hand on top of the other , his top hand only having his outer finger interlocked. “ Heavenly Body Magic :Guran Shario(Grand Chariot).” Seven beams erected from the points Ira had created. They begin to intertwine with each other heading toward the ring of fire with amazing speed. The beams would then split to form the exact pattern they had made in the sky. Thanks to Taka’s fire Matt would have nowhere to go . It was the perfect trap. Ira smiled as the beam decimated the earth beneath him. That should be enough to put him down. If not he’d just use more.
