Marxo laughed at Nabil’s remark. In the back of his mind he questioned the whole boat ordeal but it seemed he had an idea. “If it was destroyed we could just still another. No sense in wasting good marine boats. They won’t need them anyways, they’ll be dead. As for you two it was fun but my brother says we can’t play any longer. But alas to the harbor.” He decided to ignore the captains stare and proceeded with Nabil. For some reason he had a feeling they would meet again . For now his focus was the boat Nabil and himself had came in on. It held many precious treasure Marxo didn’t want to watch drown in the sea’s rage.

“ Before we leave , you might want to take a good look towards the ships. I’m sure that’s something you wanna see.” , Marxo said as he pointed towards the disturbing looking captain. He knew this would rile Nabil up . He’d probably forget all about the ship. On the inside Marxo was itching for a fight himself. He honestly didn’t see the need to check the ship right away. There were more interesting things in front of them.

The attack on the harbor seemed to be going well. From the point of view of the ship it seemed to be going well. The commodore stands nearly naked rubbing the stubble of his beard. He squints his eyes as he looks out over the different cannon balls being fired into the town. Many of them explode but the last one didn't. He could have sworn he saw someone catch it. Doubtful he told himself before turning over to his left to look at the tall blond captain that had approached him earlier.

"Who in the hell told them to do that? We aren't here to terrorize citizens." his voice was calm but he was clearly irritated by this turn of events. He crosses his arms and then snorts twice. "Well get a move on! Tell the other captains damnit!"

"Sir yes sir!" She answers with a quick salute and then quickly dashes off in high heels. In just a moment she arrives at the officers meeting room. Besides her there is only two other captains. She puts on her own jacket with a name across it "Kariko". The other two captains were also wearing their coats with names on them. Following closely behind her are a young woman wearing glasses and strange gloves, as well as a young boy who has a pistol at his hip that his hand seems to unconsciously keep touching.

One man standing at about six and a half feet tall with no visible weapon in hand. The name across his back is "Kuroshin". Beside him is a large oaf of a man who is both tall and fat. Next to him is a much smaller man who looked to be no older than 15 or so shuffling a deck of cards. The other captain seems to be a normal sized man sleeping in his chair. There are no others around him.

"Oi!" She shoults waking the sleeping man. "Where is cannonbaLL and sword crusher?" She asks impatiently. A vein slowly rises in her forehead through her heavy makeup.

"woah...well" The sleeping man starts rubbing his eyes. "Pretty sure they already left. I mean...do I really need to get involved? Looks like you guys probably got it-" He is cut off as the woman slams her hand on the table making it shake. "...fine."

"Can't be helped if they are already out there...." She starts pulling out a compact and fixing her makeup. "Let just head out there ourselves. Looks like there are a few strong ones." With this she turns and leaves with her companions. It seems that the others follow suit.

@Invisible@Boss Muffin

As Marxo and Nabil head off on their own round about way in the port three prominent figures are made out in the crowd. One man is obviously very important and stands over seven feet tall. He wears a large white coat that trails down to his feet. However instead of having the normal sleeves they have been ripped off. Now his muscular arms are exposed. The man's face is scarred up and his yellow eyes almost shine. His faced is clean shaven and on his head is a ridiculously tall mohawk. In his hands are two small axes. Tomahawks might be a more accurate description of them. On the back end of the blades it looks like a hammer. There appear to be several of these strapped to his body under his jacket but its impossible to know just how many.

Just behind him walk two other people. Both of them are men who seem to be of normal sizes for humans. One has big poofy brown hair. This man holds a long pole weapon at least 4 meters long. Of the two he is the taller. On his arm is the rank of 2nd lieutenant. The second man is just a bit shorter than the average man with strait black hair and cold eyes. He has two much smaller staffs only at about 1 meter in length. He holds them in the middle of the staff though so it is as if he has 4 ends to fight with. On this man's arm is the rank of 1st lieutenant.

"You two take the walking tazer. I'm gonna fuck up the freaky fish guy." A grimm and sadistic smile spreads across his face. Contours and lines shadow his face as he leaps forward with incredible speed. None of the other marines in the area were even able to follow him. He seems to be making a B line for Able but when he gets close he throws both of his tomahawks at the same time aiming for both the heart and the liver. Just a split second after releasing them his hands already have grabbed two more and continue with his normal advance for a melee attack.

The other two have mixed reactions between shrugging and looking irritated but both follow through with the orders taking advantage of the captain's quick rush to make a dash for Ahio. The smaller of the two runs around to try and get behind Ahio while the first leaps into the air to bring down a powerful downward arc swing with his massive dragon pole (wow don't take that out of context).

@Renny@Ira

(sorry this one is a bit short running low on time. may edit later tonight if I can muster the energy)

As the two of you reach the port you notice that your ship is also sinking. It looks like there might be time to salvage a few things but before you get the chance a cannon ball of sorts slams into the ground right in front of them. It blasts concerete everywhere and makes a huge crater hole. Inside it you see a tiny man wearing a helmet and a blue jump suit. Floating down now to the round is a captain's jacket that has the words "Bernie Cannonball" sewn into it. The man despite having slammed into the ground incredibly hard seems fine. In fact he is crawling out of the crater and brushing himself off.

"Captain!" A voice calls down as two more people land on port. They arrived at normal speed. One was a tall woman with glasses wielding a pistol in one hand and a rapier in the other. Her partner is an older man in his 30's wearing sunglasses and smoking a cigarette. On his back is a fishing pole. No other weapons are seen.

"Hey captain..." the older man says as the other girl seems too out of breath to finish her sentence. "You can't just go ahead of us like that. It makes us look bad to the enemy when we can't catch up." He seems far to relaxed and his complaint is mostly passive. He gives a glance over at the two who had just rushed into the port. "Those ships of yours will sink to the bottom. Then at our leisure we will send down the divers to collect what you have. If you survive your trial you will be given a box to keep a few items from it if you wish." His voice is now condescending and he pulls out the fishing pole off of his back and starts to tie a hook onto the end of the string.

"Run to the hiiiiiiiiiiiiils~"

Nearly instantly hitting the deck as the sounds of cannon fire echoed through the town, Leonard was definitely scared, shivering as he ran after Abel. The last thing he wanted was to stay inside a building while they were hailing cannon fire. Sticking close to Abel and awestruck that a human being just caught a cannonball and LIVED, he silently obeyed Abel's request. Gently moving her so that oxygen was ensured to flow to her brain, Leonard huddled against the wall, shaking slightly. If one thing was apparent to anybody, he was scared. Scared out of his mind. So scared he actually was starting to hyper-ventilate. With shaking hands, he reached back into his cloak, pulling out his black-iron mask, placing it over his mouth so he wouldn't breath so rapidly. Like an iron paper bag.

Looking at Nikko sadly, he hugged his knees against his chest. "...I wish...I-I wish I could help..." he says quietly, before gingerly placing his hand behind Nikko's head, making sure she wasn't bleeding from the head. "No sign of swelling...just...w-what is this woman made of? A normal person would be dead." he affirms as he quickly puts her head back where it was against the wall. As long as she didn't move too badly, even if she had a concussion, he would have some painkillers ready for her when she awoke. Keeping his eyes out for any danger, he was ready to move her at any time if need be.

"Shattering" Sylas

"Alright, it's been a long enough delay. It's time to continue on with my journey into the Grand Line." He wasn't talking to anyone in particular, he never was. The eccentric man walked alone along the port, his hands behind his head with his elbows out to the side in a relaxed pose despite the fact he was walking. "But it seems that this will have to be my ship from now on. I suppose she deserves a name, for surviving as long as she has. Hmmm... perhaps Chain Breaker Junior? No, pops would roll in his grave. It needs to be unique, magnificent, and most importantly it must scream that it was christened by Sylas Maison!" He finally arrived, standing before his ship. A solid glass vessel, shaped like a miniature galleon. Despite the fact it had no canvas on the empty mast, it was equipped with two large oars as a means of propulsion.

"I've got it! She shall be the White Rose!!" Sylas thrust his hand into the air and crossed his other arm over his chest, making an overly dramatic and equally lame pose. In an epic cue, the sound of cannonfire rang across the port at the very second he struck the silly pose. "Wha-?" While several others that had been walking around the port immediately ducked in cover as ships along the port began to explode, Sylas remained in his pose as the explosions rocked around him. He wasn't particularly worried for his own health as only one cannonball exploded nearby. And it had crashed into his glass ship, destroying it instantly and sending shards of glass in all directions while the majority of the hull sank into the water.

He remained frozen in place, his face contorted in an expression of comic disbelief. "White Rose!! Noooo!!" He broke the silence, collapsing onto his knees and taking his head in his hands in grief. By now the others had all run from the port, not willing to take the chance to see if the marine ships would open fire again. "A legendary vessel struck down the very day she earned her name! The adventures to come will never get to be!" Sylas looked almost as if he was about to cry, before suddenly recomposing himself and getting back on his feet. "It was pretty small anyways. Now I have a good excuse to make a new ship of the proper size. I bet I can get a proper mast even. But first..." His right hand moved up to smoothly adjust his glasses as his gaze stretched down the harbor, past the other sinking ships, to spot the landing marines.

"Shattering Sylas must avenge his fallen vessel..."

As a platoon of marines began to make their way from the ship towards the town, weapons already drawn, one of the young men on the right flank felt an ominous presence and noticed a shadow covering him. When he looked up and to the right to see what it was, his eyes widened in genuine surprise. Sylas came down on him, holding a gigantic hammer over his head. The odd pirate slammed into the formation of soldiers with an explosion of dust, concrete, and glass, sending soldiers flying in all directions. As the dust cleared and the marines began to pick themselves back up, Sylas was seen holding the large glass handle, notably broken off at the top from where the hammerhead had been destroyed. "I can see it now," Sylas spoke, his voice low and ominous as the glass in his hands began to regenerate, reforming the hammer.

"Shattering Sylas shatters entire Navy fleet, saves the innocent Town of Contradictions in a stunning display of passion for his beloved ship, White Rose. A long headline, but a proper one for sure." While he seemed intent on talking to himself, several marines prepared a sword charge, coming at him from all sides with their blades raised. "Hmmm, perhaps it should be shortened just a little..." Gripping his giant weapon tightly, Sylas swung it around in a full circle, the sheer size and weight of the glass hammer bashing any swords out of the way and sending the marine attached flying backwards. One full rotation later and Sylas was no longer in any danger from the marines. "Now that I look closer, it seems that there are many marines on the scene..."

Resting the weapon on his shoulder, Sylas looked back towards the town. Several other platoons had already landed and entered, causing whatever mess they were going to make. Then he looked back towards the port, at the Navy ships that were still on the water and prepared to deliver more cannonfire. "A more cowardly man might consider this a good time for a tactical retreat. But not I. My thirst for revenge will not be sated until their ships share the same fate as White Rose!" One of the marines on the ground began to move, slowly and stealthily drawing his pistol. As he aimed the weapon at Sylas's back for a surprise attack, the young man suddenly turned around and slammed the hammer against his hands in a horizontal swing. Surely this broke the marine's hands and arms, but it also sent the pistol flying into the distance like a home run. "Besides, I'm sure if I tried to sail away those ships out there would gun me down. Definitely have to handle the Navy before I leave this town..."

Brenda Wirrit

Brenda hurries through the streets, turns a sharp corner and runs into what she first takes for a tartan wall, falling backwards. She then looks up to see a huge kilted marine turning around to look her way. The brute considers, then reaches down to the inexperienced pirate.

Brenda stands and swallows, only for the marine to grab her treasure chest with two massive fingers and try to lift it away from her. Brenda holds on so tightly she's lifted as well, curling up around her treasure as the Marine begins trying to shake her off.

Through what remains of the tavern window flies a beige ball of goop, impacting behind the bar with a splat and falling to the floor along with several bottles. Then there's a groan from behind the bar, and a woman made of blue glass, with a cork for hair, paper labels for clothes and an unknown substance sloshing about inside stands up.

The woman takes a moment to regain her footing, and then looks at her hands. "Mix-Mix Separate!" she says to herself, before reaching into her body and pulling out several bottles of grog. When the last is removed, her body changes to beige putty, then back to flesh and blood (And cloth, leather, wood, metal and everything else about her person).

"Ah! Su Atano!" she says suddenly, her words foreign but her tone one of shock. She begins patting herself down, eventually breathing a sigh of relief as she lifts her shirt to reveal a wooden belly, with a brass keyhole over her navel and hinges on one side.

Finally, Brenda notices the other people in the tavern. The unconscious woman, the man tending to her, the various pirates preparing to fight or hide. "Is every person okay?" she asks, before being answered by another ominous croak from the overhead beam, and asking "Do you want me to fix that?" She takes a hammer and nails from her belt, gesturing to the crack.

DYING IS NOT REPAYING A DEBT

ONLY WEAK MEN WOULD DIE AFTER SOMEONE SPARED THEIR LIVES

It seemed Zell's plan was canceled in a second as the tavern went down after rumbling sounds came from the outside. In a blink, the red-haired girl was thrown from one side to another side of the tavern by a cannonball. Fortunately, the cannonball was being a good boy by not detonating when she caught it. If it was detonated, the explosion could rip apart her fingers or her whole arm. Zell was sure one lucky guy, he escaped from the chaos and made to the outside. He could use his devil fruit power when he was inside but he didn't want to break a sweat for a temporary chaos. Anyway, he scanned the area and noticed few marine ships were in the harbor. "Nice.." Zell was smiling as his blood rushed around quickly through the veins. His adrenaline was high and he was hungry for actions. However, he could contain it inside him and decided to stay good while the other pirates rampaging. Sure, they were beasts and it wouldn't need another beast to wreck havoc around.

Zell took a sitting place on a bench across the tavern and he watched in awe as the guys took care of all the problems. Zell reached his sword on his back and he unsheathed it from the scabbard. "At least, I should be cautious during this mahyem." . mumbled Zell.

Nabil.

Nabil paused as they reached the harbor, a dull yet exaggerated sigh leaving him. Marxo had been right, almost severely so. The ships had all been put down, the wreckage sinking into the debilitating ocean. Almost comically, the black haired pirate craned his neck towards his comrade and itched the side of his temple with his index finger, a light, cool chuckle leaving him.

“You were right as usual,” he admitted, just as he had dozens, no hundreds of times before.

In the grand scheme of things Marxo was a guiding star for Nabil. The youth had a darkening tunnel vision when it came to the marines and Marxo was the lanterns at the top, signs on the side, and occasionally the push that save his life from an oncoming train of overwhelming odds. He stuck a hand in his pocket and started to walk toward Marxo, some of the stuff on the ship could still be salvaged if they hurried but the both of them were Devil Fruit users, was it worth it?

Just as he turned around to face Marxo, he felt a shift in the thermal energy in the air. It was approaching fast too, far too fast for him to warn his blue-haired comrade. Simply, he launched himself out the way. He trusted Marxo to do the same since they trusted each other’s reaction wholly.

As he flipped around to face the crashing object, he was struck by expelled dirt and pebbles. The first pebble nicked the side of his neck, the rest of the rubble that passed by was dodged with minuscule movements. A wispy smoke hid the figure coming from the crater, so much in fact that Nabil had to scrutinize the smoke with a glare in order to see him.

The others that approached was worrisome but he felt more inclined to rip the captain apart. Anger etched its way onto his face, an unfiltered rage that disclosed his past but sheltered his usual calm. His right fist and forearm glowed hot-red as steam billowed from it.

“Atsu Atsu no Wrecking Ball!” he shouted, bursting towards the captain and throwing a powerful blow towards the man’s kidney, ready to unleash a barrage of heated attacks once he was stunned by the pain.

As they reached the harbor , Marxo accumulated the damages that may have happened to their ship. He looked upon the sea as the boat sank with all items intact. He was right. Sometimes he hated being right. Would there ever be a time in this life that this sixth sense wouldn’t save him and Nabil. There was nothing they would salvage from the ship. Their devil fruit powers wouldn’t permit it. “I don’t think we had anything worth drowning for on the ship.” , Marxo said as he tried to coax Nabil not to try and swim. No sooner than he’d spoken, a cannonball like figure flew from the sky blasting the remaining pieces of the already ruined boat into nothingness. Nabil easily dodged the debris , only being hit by small rocks. Marxo on the other hand was so lost in thought he caught a full impact of the aftershock. It sent him hurdling into a nearby building.

As he awoke from unconsciousness he muttered , “ Asshole. Stupid cannonball interrupted my train of thought.” To Marxo’s surprise the cannonball turned out to be a human and not just any human but a damn marine. He unfurled himself from the ball form he was currently and again to speak. Marxo couldn’t hear him though over the sound of Nabil getting overexcited .

“Atsu Atsu no Wrecking Ball!” , the rage could be felt in Nabil’s voice as he launched his immediate attack. Marxo decided it may be best just to hang out in the newly hollowed out hole he’d made in the building. As long as no one else showed up Nabil would be fine and besides he had bigger problems like the headache arising in his head. In concern he yelled out to Nabil. “ Make sure you destroy that bastard. He ruined our ship and interrupted our conversation.”

Ahio

”Oh, a two on one eh? I didn’t think that Marines were that foolish!” Ahio called out as he drew his left hand sword to block the incoming pole. The second lieutenant with two poles rushed towards the swordsman who’s left arm was now locked so as not to collapse and cause the pole to collide with the man’s collarbone. Ahio could only draw his right hand blade and block one of the poles as the man swung both. The second pole crashed into Ahio’s ribs, cracking a couple of them and maybe breaking one or two. Focusing less on the pain of a broken rib and more on the fight, Ahio crouched down and bent backward causing the first lieutenant to tilt over him and the pole to collide with the ground while the second lieutenant’s follow up attack quite simply hit the air above Ahio’s head. The now free left hand katana swung towards the second lieutenant’s legs only to be dodge by a hop backwards leaving the first lieutenant’s pole to be cut into by the katana colliding directly into. With a slight jerk, Ahio removed the katana and once against sliced towards the first lieutenant but with result this time as the blade cuts the lieutenant’s right arm causing blood to blotch the shirt the man was wearing.

Ahio had been barely fighting for more than three minutes and he was already sweating from the two’s assault. They were much stronger than anybody he had fought before but it was perfect for making him stronger. If he wished to be the best swordsman he would have to fight opponents who were natural counters against him like bojutsu users. Lightning began to spark between the two blades resting in the young swordsman’s hands as he charged them for his next attack. ”Nitoryu, Boruto!” Ahio called out as he made a swing with both of his blades parallel to one another, sending two blades flying towards both the lieutenants. The Lieutenants blocked the attacks causing the remaining lightning to curve around them, blinding them for a short moment. That moment was long enough as Ahio launched twelve bolts using discharge, six for each lieutenant, at them. These were low power bolts but each hit left a mark of black on the clothing and skin beneath as they collided with the men. The second lieutenant was knocked over by the final bullet colliding against him leaving the first lieutenant to face the assault of Ahio who now had advanced upon the man and attacked with both blades at once.

The lieutenant could only block one blade with his pole and instead designed to duck under the blades and swing for Ahio’s legs which cause the swordsman to topple over onto his side. The swordsman was met by a pole colliding with his stomach when he tried to roll away and only successfully got away by kicking the pole away before he was hit by the second lieutenant’s dual poles colliding against where his arms would have been. Such an attack would have broken or cracked his arms at the very least if he hadn’t reacted so quickly. Ahio almost felt as if he could tell what the two were going to do, a warrior’s instinct his father called it. He had almost laughed at the old man when he stated it originally to the twelve year old Ahio but now he believed it more than most likely any man had ever. Ahio’s flashback was interrupted by the two lieutenants rushing him at the same time, an attack the young man most definitely couldn’t have completely blocked with both his blades. The two swords in the hands of the swordsman clashed with two poles as the third pole slammed against his ribs, most definitely breaking two and causing the tiring swordsman to cough up bloody sputum.

The pair would have hit Ahio again if he hadn’t jumped back several feet and threw two more bolts at them in an attempt to keep them away. The attack worked as the pair jumped back, letting the electricity disperse in the thin and non-conductive air. The swordsman sat back, nearly four meters from the pair of lieutenants who he had been fighting for, what was it? Six or eight minutes? He was unsure as time seemed to be passing far faster than it actually was and most certainly hadn’t had the time to sit around and look at a clock. ”I… didn’t think I would have to use this so early in my journey. You..”, Ahio stopped briefly as he coughed up more blood “, forced me to do this where no one else had.” The body of the swordsman shifted from the solid skin and blood to a crackling lightning. The blades in his hands seemingly became nothing more than two, long bolts of lightning with cross guards. The ground around him seemingly attracted the lightning jumping off his body creating blackened spots which stood out among the stone.

Tristan had spent a good few months on the island he was currently on. Today was the day he was planning to leave the island to travel to a new one he had yet to explore, his sense of adventure was overwhelming him as he walked from the tree on the side of the road he was sleeping under. "Today is the day I set off. Finally I get to go to a new island!" He walked along the road towards the nearest port town with a large smile on his face and a brown bag full of his personal items but as he approached he couldn't help but notice canon fire and debris.

As Tristan got into the center of the town he could clearly see the chaos going on "Oh dear..this is unfortunate. Perhaps I can still find someone willing to give me a ride." His excited smile quickly turned to a worried frown. Tristan wondered around the town for awhile, helping people who needed it while looking for someone to give him a trip to the next island. Eventually he gave up on looking and stood in the center of crowd, dropping his bag, leaning back, taking a deep breath, and cuffing his hands around his mouth before shouting at the top of his lungs "Would anyone be willing to allow me passage on their ship!!"

Tristan's voice echoed through the part of town he was in and those around him turned their attention to him however most started immediately laughing at him. The townspeople around him all walked away laughing and he simply knelt diwn and picked his bag back up staying in the spot waiting for someone to approach him with an offer.

OUTSIDE THE TAVERN

@The Irish Tree @Natsume Honnaji

As Leonard propped up Nikko's neck she began to stir but then went back to sleep. She seemed find for the most part. It was just a bump on the back of the head. However more pressing issues settle in as Marines start making their way up to the tavern. A squad looks over to see her laying in the street with Leonard and begin making their way towards them with guns in hand.

A woman approaches and inquires about Nikko. Before Leonard is able to answer she looks at the falling tavern and offers to fix it. However it starts to cave in before she is able to fix the original support beam. The marines that were headed towards them seem to be distracted by something now.

Between the three and the marines is a loud individual who didn't seem to even notice the fighting. This was Tristan. He stood calmly in the middle of the street about 15 or so feet from where Nikko and Leonard were. The marines first approach him and point their weapons at him.

"Get on the ground you filthy pirate!" One screams. "Or we'll shoot!"

PORT

@j8cob@Ira@Renny

Nabil unleashes a powerful assault at the cannon ball captain. The narrowing eyes of the captain however wasn't one of fear or meekness. Instead the captain crouches down as if he were about to jump. Though one of his men, the large one with the fishing pole, steps between them before Nabil can get to the captain. He skillfully blocks the strike at the captain with the pole which bends back but doesn't break.

"Can't just let you attack the captain all on your own now can I?" The man said with a small smile. He had lightly tinted sunglasses and a stubbled beard. His rank looks like an enlisted soldier rather than an officer yet for some reason he was accompanying the lieutenant and the captain. On top of that its obvious to nabil that the man has impressive physical strength to boot as the pole pushes back on his fist. Nabil knows that if he simply moves his hand off of it the pole will whip out and possibly hit him. For some reason a sense of danger can be felt around the pole...like it was the edge of a blade. "Just be a good little pirate scum and surrender."

The captain himself smiles and then turns to Marxo but spots another pirate off on the other side of the port.
"Hanna. Get your scrawny ass over there and take down that pirate." The captain bellows at the female lieutenant. She simply brushes her hair to the side as if she didn't hear him. "Hanna....I don't have time for your pretentious bullshit. Get over there and handle that pirate!" He says a little more aggressively this time.

"Tch." Hannah responds. "You just want to have your 1v1 matches. Whatever. I'll go take care of him." She blows a bubble gum bubble and it pops. The catty lieutenant then heads off towards Sylas.

"Now where were we?" The captain says turning back to Marxo. "Oh yeah..." He says with a sarcastic grin. "I was about to KILL YOU!" He leaps from his crouched position but one could hardly call it leaping. It was more like a blast from a cannon as he himself balls up tightly as his whole body is thrown at Marxo at cannon ball speeds.

Hanna dashes over towards Sylas in a fairly nonchalant manner as she pulls out her pistol and aims it at Sylas's head.
"Die." She said while blowing another bubble gum bubble. She fires a shot aimed at the dead center of his head. Her aim was perfect but she kept her sword at the ready just in case the pirate somehow evaded the shot.

As Tristan stood waiting some marines took notice of him and seeming to mistake him for a pirate they yelled at him to get down threatening to shoot if he didn't. He looked over at the Marines and tilted his head to the right a bit " You guys seem to have the wrong idea about me. I'm no pirate. " He put his hand on his forehead and closed his eyes as he slicked his hair back. " However, seeing as how you're Marines I'm obviously not gonna be able to get a ride on your ship..at least not a peaceful one. " He opened his eyes again looking the Marines over trying to asses them and any possible weaknesses they may have been showing before they fight.

Tristan sighed in a slifhtly annoyed matter as he stretched his legs out and cracked his neck from left to right " Seeing as how you guys are raiding the town looking for pirate's, chances are if I beat you and some of your friends, they'll let me join them. " He pointed to the Marines threatening him and then dropped his bag and took off his cloak taking a defensive fighting stance.

Tristan's smile grew at the thought of adventuring to new islands. " Normally I don't like fighting unnescesary fights, but nothing's going to get in the way of my travelling, especially not a bunch of stuck up Marines like you! " He was clearly trying to antagonize the Marines into attacking first, normally he wouldn't resort to such tactics, but his enemies were clearly already quite riled up and he wanted to get things over with things as quickly as possible

“ Must you bother me ? I was just getting comfy.” Marxo noticed the captain heading at him with tremendous speed. It was no match for his though. His quickly dislodged himself from the wall’s grip, using the hole as a getaway . He slipped into the building and watched as the man came barging thru the wall. As soon as he were to unravel himself he’d be met by a one inch punch from a fist the size of his face. The marine raised up off of the ground as he heard Marxo yell, “ Now you’ve pissed me off, More More Punch.” The sheer size of the first was just unnatural and it came at surprisingly fast speed. Marxo paused just as it reached his face. He knew it would throw the captain off balance and make him question why but as his tiny brain processed it thoughts , Marxo would obliterate his face putting all of his might into one calculated punch. “ Should’ve fought Nabil.”

If things were eventful for Countless before, they were definitely eventful now. From what he gathered (and witnessed), Marines had managed to attack the place for pirates. Countless knew about the Marines, but had rarely seen them before. There was a time where he was lucky enough to see a ship somehow make it to the White Sea, although Countless was only able to get a glimpse of what they looked like before they were attacked by the White Sea's sea creatures. Everything else Countless knew about the Marines was from reading and being told stories. They were essentially just Law Enforcement. Like the Divine Squad, without the robes and spears.

Surprisingly, Countless' portion of the tavern was still somewhat intact; save for the small piece of wood which fell on his head, prompting him to move out of the way before the ceiling come crashing down or something of the like. He wasn't worried about the Marines though: he wasn't a pirate, closer to a Bounty Hunter, probably - even then he was more of an adventurer now... with no form of travel. Still it wasn't the time for the young gunner to be thinking about that. He still had to make it out of this town somehow. Stepping outside for a brief moment, he quickly assessed what was going on outside before re-entering the tavern.

"You know, there are actually a lot of Marines out there." He announced mundanely to whoever was still within the gradually-crumbling tavern.

"...You people should probably hide." Countless continued, in a more matter-of-fact way. He assumed most of them were pirates, and were probably in pretty crappy situation right now.

"I swear officer, I only malpractice on the weekends!"

"This is bad... is all that Leonard could really think before turning his head ever so slightly to look at Nikko. He felt a tinge of pain in his gut as he realized that the Marines were zero tolerance...even if she was injured, they'd likely still fire if he didn't do as they asked. Lowering his head slightly, he started shivering, particularly his legs started quaking, before he nods. "F-F-F-Fine! I-I'm not a pirate, b-but she's injured. W-We need to get her medical attention." he states, slowly sinking to his knees and then lying on the ground, visibly afraid of what would happen. Looking up towards the blue-haired woman, he pleaded: "D-Don't give them a reason to hurt anybody...M-Maybe i-i-it'll be okay..." as he clenched his teeth behind his mask.

He felt terrible...he was literally about to let them walk all over him. What if they hurt Nikko? What if he had to go to jail? W-What if they'd execute him then and there? A million worries were racing through the pacifist doctor's mind. None of which really involved thinking of how to get out of this mess. He was going to get arrested, probably beaten up, then get a fishman island breakfast in prison from a sturgeon man named Bobo. Ashamed and scared, he lowered his eyes to the ground. "...Am I...really going to die here?" he questioned from behind his mask in a hushed tone, almost impossible to hear. He felt like he was going to cry, but just...lied there. One last time, he said: "Please, don't hurt her," voice quivering slightly.

DYING IS NOT REPAYING A DEBT

ONLY WEAK MEN WOULD DIE AFTER SOMEONE SPARED THEIR LIVES

Zell was lucky to have a sharp hearing, he could notice the event that happened in front of his eyes. A tall man was standing on the middle of the street, few feet from him was a girl and another older woman. However, this somewhat heroic dude was about to be captured by the marines. Before he faced the marines, he uttered few words that caught Zell's attention. He said something about joining these bunch of pirates in their voyage by helping them first during this mayhem. Zell was interested in his plan because from the beginning, Zell had an urge to find a ship to sail back to the Grand Line. Maybe it wasn't a bad idea to join them, at least he could save some money and travel time.

Zell's lips began to curve upward as he became excited. "This man should be my vessel to the victory, he should carry me on his back." Zell muttered. Fortunately, he unsheathed his Katana already so when the tall man was overwhelmed, Zell would jump into action, helping him. If Zell fought alongside that man, the marines wouldn't stand a chance, at least he thought so. He crossed his fingers, hoping that his plan would work and he could join these pirates. "On board to victory!" He shouted as he stood from the bench and stretched a bit before acting.

Brenda Wirrit

The doctor is afraid.

The pirate is unconscious.

The kid doesn't seem to care.

Brenda has a sinking feeling that she's in charge of this group by default. She swallows that fear down, puts one leg up on a barrel and gestures with a chisel as she prepares to rally the troops.

"Pick her up and carry her with us." she instructs Nikko, before turning to Countless, and telling him "They are exploding the town and ships. We are on an island. We do not hide or we are trapped. We have no place to run. You and your gun should come with us."

"There are many pieces. Parts, materials, damages. Too much for one. We all do our parts, follow the plan and build a strong ship!"
she can't quite recall all the right words. Shipwright terms will have to do.

Brenda strides over to the unexploded cannonball, and struggles to pick it up with both hands. "We must first prepare the workshop. An exploding workshop is unsuitable. We must stop the explosions. There are fine workers outside. They will come with us to the docks."

And so, Brenda waddles her way out of the tavern with her heavy load, trusting Countless and Nikko to follow her. As Zell and Tristan prepare to face off against the Marines blocking her way to the ports, Brenda takes a deep breath and yells
"Make way for the cannonball!"

Brenda has no idea there's a marine officer in town also called 'the cannonball'. She's trying to stop anyone setting off the explosive she carries. Nonetheless, several mariens misinterpret, and spread apart watching the skies for the officer's airborne arrival, distracting them from the upcoming fight.

Nabil.

“Tsk! You get in my way and expect me to surrender? I’m fighting a dumbass.”

Nabil shook off the twinge of uncertainty that drifted from the pole the marine was using. It was something to wary of but he was more pissed off that the Captain had dashed off towards Marxo. It was bothersome but at the same time, he suppose he didn’t mind kicking some low-class ass. Following the quirk of wariness, Nabil tensed his arm to hold the pole in place before taking preparatory step back.

“Atsu Atsu no Mi,” he said with a finality in his soft voice. His pulled back arm glowed red as a column of heat billowing heat extended from it. The heat that billow from became ominous as the warm air molded into medieval ax, its form enhancing his range. “Guillotine.”

It took only the length of those quick words for him to whip it through the air with intentions of bisecting the poor marine. As his arm swung horizontal in the air, the edge of his self-made Ax had become red-hot. It could cut through a sheet of metal, given a second or two of time to do so.

Sylas

He twirled the massive hammer of glass around, eventually bringing it to a rest against his right shoulder as he held onto it with only his right arm. Sylas appeared rather casual and comfortable, despite the weight of the weapon and how comical yet intimidating he looked. "But how am I going to get close enough to sink those ships without them noticing me..." His left hand moved up to his chin, making sure that his pose reflected how deep into thought he was about the predicament. Sylas maintained the pose for a few seconds before tilting his head to the side and leaned back slightly. The timing, whether intended or not it was impossible to tell, was miraculous, moving just out of the way in the split-second before the female lieutenant fired her pistol at his head.

The bullet sailed past his face, the displaced air giving a slight breeze and causing his hair to ruffle slightly. But now he was facing the woman who declared he would die. "A sneak attack. First you take my vessel and then you attempt to take my life? When will the immorality end!?" Sylas now completely rotated his body to face Hannah, simultaneously raising his left hand into the air to take a dramatic post. "Oh, right. It'll end in a moment." His melodramatic pose was relented and his voice took a serious tone as he clenched his hammer in both hands. "Today will be the day the Navy regretted its offense against Shattering Sylas."

Hannah likely felt the man she was tasked in killing was very strange and annoying by now. But the moment he ceased his dramatics the air around them began to change. With a surprisingly fast dash, Sylas closed the distance to put the lieutenant just within striking range of his massive hammer. Naturally he opened with his vertical smash, a blow to immediately crush her should she find herself unable to block or dodge. As well the power behind the blow was tremendous enough to shatter the hammer and the concrete they were standing on. Now wielding only a glass handle, something relatively useless in a fight, Sylas held onto it with one hand and used the other to adjust his glasses. "No Marine can stop me..."

Ryan probably should've been scared. He should've been running around screaming as cannonballs had fallen everywhere. He should've hid in some bottle somewhere and waited for the Marines to leave. Ryan was instead shooting every Marine he saw and screaming "Ten points!" every time he got a hit. This was a fun day, not fun enough though. He didn't even have to use his Devil Fruit yet, nobody was strong enough! Ryan quickly noticed the lack of targets around and he pouted. "Aww. Game over already? Do I have to put in another Beli?" He bolstered his guns and began walking towards a nearby tavern when he heard a strange yell.

"Make way for the cannonball!"

"Huh?" Ryan turned towards a woman carrying a cannonball while other people were fighting. He jogged over to her and looked at the cannonball curiously. "Hey, you need some help with that? It looks pretty heavy." He walked beside the woman a wily grin. "I'm being rude though. I'm Ryan, it's nice to meet you!" He reached out his hand for a handshake and giggled.
