You relinquished the control you had of Dust when you not only left the RP and handed over authority of it to Darcs and myself, you completely and utterly lost any authority you had when you came back with the intention of playing, but not GM-ing because, and then left the RP entirely to, quote:

You have no control over Dust in this thread, and we have no obligation to do what you want. This RP is not yours to commandeer and end, your word has no authority beyond advice in this thread, and we'll do what we like.

That being said, I'm afraid I must admit that Dust has more or less... bitten the dust. If anybody wants to suddenly pop up and defibrillate this thread and make it a living RP once more I'll jump for joy, but as it stands I must apologize for not being able to keep the interest going.

I'll be the second to accept blame. I would like to say that I wanted to keep the RP going, and most of it was simply a sudden lack of knowing what to write, but I don't know. Being the first RP that showed any promise of having a fairly long lifespan (and to be fair, it did, didn't it?) I still feel like I have an obligation to keep it going, but honestly, I just can't write out anything interesting for my character to be doing while driving through the desert with nothing around him.

Can I ask why you're so keen on pressing the kill switch? I've written a lot of content for a few of the characters now central to this world we've been building up, I kind of don't want to just give them up? Especially when Mono and I were considering a scaled down reboot or a 1x1 or something.

Since this is literally just a website for frail nerds to write their lesbo fanfics for fun without any actual profits or publishing involved, and this is basically a Fallout AU I don't see how it wouldn't be fair use for us to write stories in the neat world you conceptualized. Honestly if you wanted I guess you could snitch and throw a hissy fit and get the kids smoking behind the dumpster in trouble

It didn't come with a tag that read, "At the pleasure of the man who has left this universe entirely." At least, I don't remember it being that, unless the internet has invisible ink.

But y'know what? I already have my own things lined up, and normally I might've been inclined to just let Dust die peacefully. But hey, have fun knowing the only way you can get people to do things is by threatening to call the mods (and actually doing so when someone hurts your feefees enough), and please try to remember that good old Fonzie doesn't get to call himself cool by blustering, threatening, and twisting the meanings of words to suit his own agenda.

So why is @Aeonumbra calling take-backsies? Because it isn't like anything she originally created? If that's the case then it shouldn't really matter right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but no one is planning on binding this all together and sending it to a publishing company (though the hypothetical shit show that would ensue is amusing) there's no reason why there should be such a hubblub about all this. I think you need to get some sleep @Aeonumbra, and then work on any issues you have IRL before coming back here, because the only way I can see someone doing this is from being overstressed by things that actually matter, like work or grades or a dying member of a family. Until then, I think you should make sure that you understand the site's rules before you talk to the mods so you yourself don't get in trouble.

If that were indeed true, I highly doubt someone studying Sociology would mistake this scenario for "watching the dog". This was giving the dog to someone and then demanding the dog back after they'd Fed and groomed it.
