"Call me a fairy, and I'll dislocate your arm."
Name: Maebh (
may + v) Ó Fionnbharr
Age: 535
Gender: Female
Breed/Species/Type/Lineage: Tuatha Dé Dannan - Daoine Sidhe -
FaePhysical Description: Neither pint sized, or winged, Maebh is like many of the Fae in Connacht. Tall, or at least average in her kind as she stands at an impressive 5 foot 10 inches. Fair haired, with unruly coils of white-blonde hair laying passed her shoulder blades. And bright blue eyes, which glow vibrantly even in the dark. Unlike her sisters Maebh lacks any curves, her figure slender and athletic. With an albino-like complexion her white eyebrows blend in with her milky, unblemished skin. Hardly expressive, her face is almost always stoic and tight lipped. With an unflinching gaze, she has a knack for making others uncomfortable, or presenting herself as intimidating or
odd. Despite this, Maebh has a certain radiance about her. Be it her high cheekbones, wide eyes, or her square angular jaw, Maebh carries this beauty with confidence and is unafraid to use it to her advantage.
Talents:+ Magic Channeling: As beings of pure magic, a Fae's senses are open to it all times. They can touch, taste, see, hear, and smell magic. Despite this, they cannot cast magic, or create spells on their own. What they can do, however, is tap into any existing magic. If a person, or place has been cursed, or spelled, the Fae can tap into that magic and use it however they please. Drain it, tweak the spell, or eradicate it altogether. Channeling is an immediate ability, however. Maebh cannot drain magic from one area, leave it, and keep it to be used at a later time.
Certain areas naturally generate magic -- such as fairy rings, graveyards, and historical ruins. These areas allow the Fae to use this energy however they wish. Creating blasts of power, or wards to protect them. Channeling has it's dangers however. Gathering too much magic has it's consequences, and with power comes greed, and a greedy Fae will always end up as a dead Fae.
+ Light Of The Fae: Born of magic, every Fae contains their own amount of internal Magic. They can manifest this magic, channelling it outside of their body and containing it within basketball sized sphere of light. In it's raw form, they can release blasts of power, and create temporary force fields. However, using the Light in it's raw form is not only dangerous, but potentially deadly. The internal Magic of a Fae is the very life source of their being, and with every use the light will grow smaller and dimmer, weakening the user over time until they eventually die after overuse.
In it's raw form, a Fae can expand their light and magic affinity through meditation and training. Skilled Fae, in magical areas -- such as fairy rings, graveyards, and so on -- can channel the magic from their surroundings and gather it within their own light and release the excess amount of energy in substitute of their own. While this method allows for quick growth, it too, can be potentially deadly. Just like channelling, if a Fae gathers too much magic with out exhausting the excess Magic it could lead to devastating consequences. ( ie. Self Combustion, Brain Damage, Loss of Senses -- Blind, Deaf, or Paralysis. ) With these reasons, a Fae is only supposed to call upon their light in dire situations.
+ Mark Of The Fae:
+ Firearms: In ancient times the Tuatha Dé Dannan were known for being skilled warriors. Deadly in combat, and unmatched with a sword or a bow. But as centuries have passed, the Court has modernized as well. Replacing weapons of old with modern, mundane arms, members of the KINGSGUARD are trained, and required to carry a firearm at all times. As a member of the KG, Maebh has been trained to handle and use such weapons.
+ Archery: Despite the modernization of Connachts military, Archery is a cultural practice that is still taught and favored by many. Maebh being one of them. Trained as a child by her father, Maebh is the best shot amongst her Squad, holding the record for most direct hits ( or kills ) with a bow.
+ Hand-To-Hand Combat:
