Jane looks over at Pepper. Pepper looked to Darcy. Darcy was the only girl bold enough to say. "Uhhh she like....moved back to her home in England."

Jane sighs. "We dont see her much."

"I heard she got engaged to some rich guy." Darcy continued with her mouth full of food, with no thought to Loki's feelings. Jane elbowed her arm. "Ow!" Darcy scowled.

Pepper shrugs. "As long as she's happy right?"

Tony laughs. "Yeah but...I been doing some research on this guy and well. Turns out it's an arranged thing between their two rich families before their parents died or some such boring stuff and the like. He ain't no patch on our boy Loki here."

Thor nods. "Of course not." He ruffles Loki's hair "We know all about that sort of thing back home in Asgard."

Loki nodded slowly as he smirked gently at Thor "Oh Thor your silly, Yeah we know" said as he looked over at hel who was faced away. He walked over slowly and stopped "Okay what dio you want me to do?" he finally asked in defeat. hel whirled around and hugged Loki sharply.

"NEVER do that again" she said sadly eyes closed gently. Loki smiled and hugged her gently "I will not do that" he said slowly as he pulled back gently and stood uo slowly looked out at the beach.

"Yours going after Varia Dad?" asked fenrir as loki was silent for a while before turning gently.

"I don't know if I should, I mean she will be happy as can be this this guy" said with a soft smile , fenrir glared.

"Lier, you so are ! Come on she doesn't want to get married to this creep" he whined slightly. Loki shook his head gently.

"And what do I do, rush up to her and tell her how I felt about her and how thankful I was?" he demanded slightly as Clint grinned gently as he spoke.

"Yes thats pretty much the easiest way" he said as Loki rubbed his face gently "this is crazy , i can't go after her why would I ?" he asked slowly.

Hel walked up "Father do you or do you not love her" she asked firmly, loki looked at her slightly, frozen but unsure what to do.

"........." Loiki said nothing but he sighed "Yes....Yes I do" he said slowly.

Hel nodded "then go after her damnit"

England. 8pm. A few days earlier.

It was a luxurious mansion she lived in. Varia was playing the piano. She had classical music and dance in her blood from a long line of upper class family derived from nobility during the Kings and Queens of old.

She wasn't quite the same after she was brought back to life. She had a broken heart and nothing made her feel any better. She spent what time she could with her brother James and his daughter Rachel. She couldn't face the city streets ever again after being battered to death. Every time she touched a gun she broke out in hysterics. Her mind was in need of serious healing. And that's why she so easily agreed to marry her childhood friend, her fiance Lord Spencer.

She had no fight left in her, she retired from the force and became a kept lady. She was bored every day. But she did things to help others in need. She raised money for charity, she helped out at the nearby orphanage and she looked after her niece, who had lost her mommy.Varia was now her mother figure. The children were the only things that made her smile.

The next morning she awoke like any other day with a dull expression. She sighs as she got dressed into a white summer dress. It was oddly quiet though...She made her way down the stairs and wandered the empty house. "Where is everyone?"

A shadow from behind her crept out with a dark voice. "They're quite safe. For now." He booms and she turns around to gasp. She had never seen anyone like him before. He was tall, armoured to the teeth and scary.

"Wh-who are you?" She backed away in fear.

"They call me Ares..." It was the God of War. She wondered what he possibly could do with her. "I know. You are wondering why I'm here. It seems that...a mere mortal is capable of anything. Even saving the soul of the Trickster himself. And so. I looked for Loki. In the depths of Hell. He was not there. So where is he?" Ares crept toward her. "I-...he's dead. Isnt he.?"

"Come now. He is the ultimate prankster, if he was dead, I would have found him." Ares opens a portal where she sees her family captive. "If you do not bring him to me, I will destroy them." Varia falls to her knees as Ares disappears and leaves her all alone, crying. And then a few days later Loki shows up on that beach...

One faithful day house there was a knock, a very soft and loud nock at the same time as standing there was loki in a more normal form seeing her open the door he gave a weak smile "can I please come in for a mommet?" he asked looking at the female , he wasn't going after her but what he was going to do was do something no other person had ever done before. he walked into the large house "Not bad thats for sure" he said slowly.

Varia watches him walk into her large estate. Well not hers, it was Lord Spencer's. She just lived in it. She had spent days, waiting. Waiting for him to show up. She was not pleased to see the God. 5 months, she suffered. And now she was suffering again because a War God wanted a piece of the Trickster too.

"Where have you been?" She asked.

"Acoma death sleep its rare but at that time I vanish from all exsistance. and I mean all no one can track me the magic conceals me to hide and there for no one sees me. Now what I do have to say is this" he went over and touched her shoulder.

"You are the worlds most amazing human I have EVER met and I am glad to have known you. You are very strong willed and very amazing and you you should really be very glad about that. I get why now Thor loves this planet and I will not be coming back. I have to go home back to Asgard, its my duty as a prince to just protect not stay on earth. Now what I did want to tell you is this. You can do anything, and I mean anything once you put your mind to it, i have seen it why do you think humans are so good and cool at times ? I am very very happy to meet you and I hope you live an amazing life. I can't hunt you down and tell you to be mine because thats wrong even though i grown rather fond of you. But you are a free lady and let no one ever tell you other wise. have a great life miss and I hope eventually to see you" he said as he kisses her forehead and then slowly got up and smiled and walked toward he door slowly a smile on his face.

Varia just looked at him with amazement. She would happily let Loki live his life as a Prince and as a God as long as he was just alive. After all she was only a mortal and he would outlive her.

"You're damned right no-one can tell me what to do..." She fought with her inner feelings and her current circumstances, to involve Loki or not. Her family was at stake. But it was her problem and hers alone.

"But I cant do anything." She confessed. "He's going to kill my family." She said with tears in her eyes and she had burn marks on her arms and legs that Ares gave her.

The god looked at her and smiled gently " If you can bring a god from the dead, then you can do more then you give yourself credit for. Also if you ever need any help call out for me and I will be there before you to aid you in all things. " he said slowly as he went over to her and smiled gently and touched her head gently as she could hear him say mentally in her mind.

Love is a powerful thing, If brought me back it can save you and your family as well. If you seek my help I will help bring of your family safely I will help you. But most of its on you Said the god witha soft smile. His eyes looking at her and then he smiled softly.

"Asgard is rooting for you child"

Varia leans in closer to Loki's face, her eyes peering deep into his. "I thought you were really gone..." Her hand touched his cheek softly.

She had to pull away. She had never felt this kind of love before. She knew it couldn't last. She knew how foolish Jane had to be to think it could work, a human and a god.

"He is Ares. The God of War. I don't know what he wants with you but he told me to bring you here." She showed him a map. A very old map that belonged off world. It resembled the Dark Elf world.

Loki looked at the lace and nodded slowly "I see, well lets play the game huh ?" he muses gently as he grabbed her suddenly and kissed her and pulled away "sorry just in case I do die indeed this time just so you know that even if I live longer then you doesn't mean I don;t love you still" he said smiling as he looked at the map.

"The Underworld I am guessing the greek one, meaning he wants me dead against or something with that line. So whats the plan?" he asked looking at her, this was her show this time it was her game.

Varia blinks at the God, still feeling his lips upon hers. She snapped out of it. "The plan...the plan is you get far away as possible from him!" She tells him sternly. "He cannot have you!" She takes his hands. "I cannot lose you again, Loki!"

He looked confused but he nodded slowly "very well as you wish." he said slowly as this was all her and with that he turned and walked out of the house smiling gently and went back to the plane that was there and got on looking at Steve and bartin nodding "Lets go , she will be fine" promised

Varia watches them leave. She shuts the door on the outside world and turns to an empty house. Her family were kidnapped, she did not deliver Loki as promised.

Ares appears before her. "Brave little girl...."

She looks at him with sad eyes. "You would have killed them anyway. men like you have no honour..." She spits as he comes closer. He takes her neck in his hands. "You are the most defiant human I have ever come across. No wonder you bewitched the God of Lies himself." His eyes glowed through his helmet.

"Why...do..you..want..him..anyway..?" She struggled to speak as he choked her.

"He is the most powerful God of us all. He can even defy fate and death itself. That makes him the ultimate fight. I yearn for my equal in battle." Ares revealed. "If you will not bring him to me. Then I will bring him to you." He cackles and portals himself and Varia out of Earth and into the Underworld.

It had taken a lot of torment before Loki was too scared for her life to ignore the nightmares. He came to the underworld, but in a different form the form of Persephone his eyes narrowed seeing her in the prison cell beaten to a pulp "Ares I thought you said you wanted the god of Trickstery not a mortal" she said slowly walking to where Ares stood and across her arms. the hellhounds watched them all closely but one always was watching Varia and at night would heal her without her knowing. It was fenrir Loki had been knowing what was going on before he couldn't hold it back so he sen Fenrir as a hellhound to the world of Hades.

Suddenyl he felt like the magic had vanished looking down seeing the pentogram and eyes widened "what" the form vanished and Loki stood there eyes wide ".....damn " he said slowly looking at Ares "release the girl Ares now, You want me well I'm here now bring her back to earth now or i'll force you" he said sharply.

Ares paced the area up and down looking at the Asgardian Prince. "Um no. I think I'll keep her as my slave. She is quite...a dish isnt she?" He laughs darkly beneath his helmet.

Varia was tied to the wall with strong chains.

Memories of that Day

She looked up slowly and saw Loki in the distance. "No...." She shakes her head. She had taken the place of her brother and niece. She wondered though...where her "fiance" had gotten to if he had not been here captive with Ares.

"Loki..." She feared she would lose him all over again.

"Nah I don;t think so" Loki smirked as Varia vanished suddenyl from the underworld and a magical spell was placed on her now that Ares may never touch or harm her again. She was in the avengers towers where Thor, Frigga, Hel and Tony where a portal was spinning open. Now all Loki had to do was escape the underworld alive. He withdrew his daggers eyes glowing "Lets see what you got Ares, I got a lot of time to waste and belive me ....You can't take the magic out of a trickster" grinend deeply mischief written all over him.

Ares rages and charges him with his giant axe in one hand and a giant sword in the other. He swings them down at the Trickster in full force and godly speed unmatched by Thor.

Varia was picked up by Thor and taken to the medical room where she was to be healed. She fell in and out of consciousness. "Loki..." She mumbled in her sleepy state.

Loki ammaged to dodge though his arm was cut slightly as a fight between him and Ares started as Loki was a bit slower without the magic he was still VERY hard to actually beat. he grunted as he slammed into a rock and rasoed gently "ugh god that hurt." he said slowly wobbling to gis feet slowly looking at Ares.

"why are you so targetd to me as if I am some ultimate prize of title you gt for beating>" he demanded and was thrown around relentlessly before he felt like he might just die here. he cuckled gently before the bracelet around him shied "sorry Ares....Just can;t battle anymore today" with that he was gone completely from sight.

he appeared in the Avengers tower collasped blood everywhere on him. Tony closed the portal trapping Ares in the underworld for the rest of his life without winning. loki eyes where fuzzy and grumbled gently "Varia" he said before he fell into black.

Jane and Thor help Loki to the medical room. Thor spoke to Loki's sleeping state, as if he knew he'd hear him in there. He knew his brother was very powerful indeed.

"Dont worry brother, Varia's here, she's fine thanks to you." He reassured the Trickster as he laid him down on a bed to rest.

Both Varia and Loki lay asleep resting and healing from Ares's cruelty.

The trucker made a bubble of magic suspend him in the air as he deeply into sleep once more his wounds would slowly heal but the bubble streamed around Varia healing her
