@AkayaofthemoonFound out two things in my Set research: Set is Bisexual and Osiris seems to be Anubis' birth father, as Set is also infertile. The more you know, I guess.

@Raijinslayer@Minimum Good point. I'll correct my previous sleep-deprived statement and say "Don't you think its cool that all these different beliefs, spread apart by oceans, deserts and countries all had a figure for the land and a figure for the sky? I do!"

@Raijinslayer

I knew the first two things about Set since he is one of my favorites but I didn't know about the infertile thing. That kind of sucks but hey it is what it is

@AkayaofthemoonYeah, he had a veritable harem of his own, but he couldn't have any children, not even with a fertility goddess. That has to suck.

Speaking of Anubis, I did a bit of research and apparently he was at one point the son of Bast.

In later times Bast became the goddess of perfumes and had the title perfumed protector. In connection with this, when Anubis became the god of embalming, Bast, as goddess of ointment, and she was regarded as his mother, until Anubis became Nephthys' son.

@Akayaofthemoon@Raijinslayer
I just imagine Set looking at a family that has someone survived the apocalypse and stare at the kid(s) with this sad look in his eyes.

@Minimum
Bast will be so protective over him. And maybe try to wash him like a mama cat.

No T.T the feels...oh that was right in the heart...

Also this is all I can think of when you spoke of Bast.

"There there, everything will be okay."

"It's nothing. I just...did you just lick me?"

I like how I have nothing to specifically contribute to this conversation. I feel left out... the next person who signs up or makes a character, play as a Mesopotamian deity, please. Sin and Marduk need to have connections to somebody.

@PhaesarisYeah, now Set's protectiveness over Anubis and maybe Wepawet(how does he fit into this weird family tree?) will have the added fact that they're likely the only children he'll ever have. (Relatively speaking). Set will now have a soft spot for children. . . or maybe he'll kill every family he sees because of his vicious jealousy thing. Probably going to go with the first one, but it could go either way, as Set is known for his jealousy and envy.

As for Persephone, there are two different versions of her story where kids are concerned because a lot of people fight over this

It is either she really wanted children but has never been able to bare any with Hades (Which makes sense)

Or that she has had two children, both from Zeus because of rape. Most believe that this is not true and that those children are the children of different goddesses. Many to debate on this. I honestly think the first one is true just because Demeter was so over protective that I don't see how Zeus could have caught her in a cave alone.

Well

I mean

Hades found her alone

Admittedly, that was for a few instants, long enough to grab and run xD

@Kaithas

She wasn't alone though. She was with either nymphs or Artemis and Athena (it changes depending on the story). Zeus placed a narcissus flower, to lore Persephone far enough away from the others so that Hades could grab her. Demeter was also close by but thought she would be safe in the garden she had made for her daughter plus she didn't think Persephone would be even a split second away from the others. Narcissus are suppose to be too tempting to resist sooo yeah...

@AkayaofthemoonChanged Set's appearance to fit more with the myth, strange thing was this is how I originally pictured him, but I changed it because I wanted to follow the myth. Funny how things work, huh? I thought of doing the same for Quetzal, but then I figured that seeing what his previous incarnation did to his people, he probably wouldn't want to take on a body with light skin again.

I'll go give it a look ^-^ check out his new look

Sadly, Persephone has nothing agreed upon on almost anything.

Some say she is blonde and fair

Others say she has hair as dark as a raven wing and pale skin

Some say her hair is red.

Others say that it switched from her time up above and down below >.<

That is why I just chose a pic I liked and stuck with the one fact that she was fair/pale skinned

@AkayaofthemoonProbably for the best! That's the problem with more minor gods/goddesses, they're are more varied takes on their appearance and roles in the pantheon.
