"Ichimiya Nanase" An oppressive yet authoritative voice spoke, almost directly next to her. Still, the humanoid figure that did not seem to be moving with legs approached closer and closer, and slowly, light began to appear from it. It was a beautiful, regal light of purple.

However, that figure was not the origin of the voice that had just spoken. Rather, whomever was speaking to her was directly next to her. Whoever they were, their figure was mostly obscured, along with their skin, by a simple black cloak and a mask with a simple, neutral expression. There were clearly eyes within the mask, but it was hard to see the color in such a dark place. The room itself smelled of ozone, with a tension that one could almost imagine as visible. There was something not natural here that was not but a few moments earlier, and it was absolutely oppressive.

"Your curiosity, no, rather, your ignorance, has brought me here. Now, what is it that you desire?" The voice itself felt foreign, yet familiar. It was becoming more and more defined by the word, and with it more feminine. The first few words had certainly been barely understandable, but by the end it had been perfectly understandable.

That... whatever it was that was in her painting - it had somehow gotten out of her painting, a fact that she somehow just noticed - was speaking to her. Despite the very wrong atmosphere that had permeated her room and was now causing the gerbil to run around the cage in complete panic, Nanase found herself completely entranced and bewitched by the creature, this great being to which she was a mere ant.

"...I..." she hesitated for a moment, fear gripping her every body before she looked at her gerbil, at its cage, and she made up her mind.

"I wish for a different path in life." She declared, knowing full well that there were at least a million different ways that this could backfire. Nyarlathotep might turn her into an ant, might completely destroy her, might change her identity completely - and entirely for the worse - but she was not afraid. She was tired of this life, tired of the cage she was placed in.

"It is undeniable that humans such as I are beholden by fate, that by the mere whims of forces high beyond our understanding - whether that force be gods or fate - our path are set without any chance of our own struggle. Which is why I ask you, if you truly are the crawling chaos, that through your whimsical desires, that you change the path set out for me and destroy the cage which fate has placed around me by birthing me to the two parents I have."

"A different path? Sure." The voice seemed to be fully formed now, and was fully feminine. It had been defined. But weirdly, it sounded exactly like her own. The Japanese girl found herself pushed through the painting and into the cold, endless void in front of her. The being with a light on their head was approaching quickly, and her apartment was now dimensions away. Behind her could be seen a figure; the very one who had pushed her into this void. Its lack of expression was mocking in itself. Indeed, the very act of asking her what she had wanted had been to taunt. Only to mock had it not killed her immediately, or done far worse.

The ground was pure blackness, but she could stand. This was an existence of pure black. The only light came from the light she had seen in the painting before. No, rather, those weren't lights. They were jewels that seemed to give off a light of their own. And every last one out of the seemingly infinite number were getting closer, approaching her. Most were far off, but that figure whom she had seen slowly approaching in the painting was very close, and here, now in this alien world, she would be able to see. Its purple jewel was on its head. It need not walk because it had no legs. What was coming toward her was one of the Great Naga, and it was moving toward her like a hunter stalking prey. A voice spoke that sounded exactly like her own, just as before. Except this time, it had no source but her own mind.

"I have already informed them of your arrival in advance. They think you are there to...well, let us just say it is not pleasant. Don't expect mercy. Or a slow death, really." A sword had been waiting for her on the ground, sheathed. Only an immaculate, perfect golden hilt had been showing.

Nanase wondered if this was something that had happened to countless people prior. Being thrown into the void by the whims of great powers that moments ago they did not even fully realize even existed, she wondered if she was about to suffer a fate similar to countless people. To dream of a great adventure only to die pathetically at the very beginning, only catching a glimpse that they had no time to even understand or comprehend.

She was not a physically strong girl. Her gym grades were average and she did not partake in any sort of martial arts or fencing classes. She did not feel confident in beating these snake creatures, the Great Naga - not that she would know what they were; she was a student of the occult, not one of these mainstream religions.

The only reason why she went for the sword was because there was no other option. It had been the default, only thing to do. Even if this was meant to be a god's mockery of heroism, she knew that this sword would be better than nothing. Fully aware that her life was being toyed with, strangely that did not seem to bother her - but it would not really have surprised anyone who understood Ichimiya Nanase. Life was constantly something to be toyed with by higher powers. It was just that that higher power was making her that much more aware of it. If she was to die, then there really was no way to escape. It would be set in stone, and nothing would change it. If she was not to die, however, then there was nothing that would change that either.

And with that, she grasped the sword and sheathe in her hands and unsheathed it, wondering if some ability or power would reveal herself and give her a better chance than normal high school girl vs a creature of myth.

Nanase immediately found herself covered in blood and guts. These weren't hers, but, rather, were the blood and cuts of the Naga. As soon as the shining sword was unsheathed, it had entered into the body of the Naga, cutting through it like paper. This was a sword of vengeance that hungered for blood. Wasn't there a certain sword like that?

The naga fell over, defeated. A few more approached her, but now with more caution and hesitation.

Nanase did not know how or why the sword did what it did - but it still killed the naga and she could live with that. Literally. Making sure to hold her ground and not show any kind of weakness, she constantly shifted her gaze between the few nagas that were approaching her, reading to desperately defend herself at any moment but unwilling to make the first move - yet.

Sithilerine closely observed what magic was being used around him. The strategy being used was clever but Sithilerine was a veteran of combat and was well aware of the power of the Gods. He took to air to dodge the fireballs. He expected this kind of attack. He noted the arrow flying at him, with a motion, he swiped the side of the arrow head causing it to nic his cheek scales. Sithilerine noticed this and could not contain his rage for much longer. "You impudent little worm." He stated as he began to grow in size. "Now you play with power." He said in a cold, chilling voice. He gathered his strength and smashed the ground beneath them. The ground around him was shattered immediately as it felt as if earthquakes had taken rule of the land.

Masrith stopped the group. "It's Lea. He is in trouble. He is fighting Sithilerine alone."

Zeltrax had been watching the other gods through an orb for awhile now. However he felt an immense power unleashed. The orb teleported to show Sithilerine doing his attack. Zeltrax smiled before grabbing the orb, the space around him shifted to where the battle was. Zeltrax appeared inbetween the two. "You look like you need help." Zeltrax said turning back to look at Sithilerine. He pointed his sword to the sky. A fire ring surrounded the sword and then shot down at the images to defeat the illusions. "You would be usefull though." Zeltrax said walking towards Lea. He rushed at Lea then putting his hand infront of Lea's face. Instead of a fire ball though, Miasma came out of his hand. This would implant the seed of Corruption into Lea's mind.

Multiple Naga attacked now, from multiple directions. The light flared up before their attack, like a flashbang grenade. Almost nothing was left unbathed in extreme light.

...Well crap. After being so used to the darkness, she was completely blinded by the light.

Desperate to at least somehow defend herself, Nanase swung her sword wildly, hoping to keep the Naga at bay until she could at least open her eyes again.

"Half-Brother", Anatole spoke. "Sithelerine, your old friend Anatole is here to stop you!" Anatole stated. . . he looked like an old decrepit man with his staff but he ran at a speed that caused a cheetah's blitzkrieg to pale in comparison. With his wild eyed passion he brought down dragon's from the sky, their heads slithering at bullet speed through the world where Sithereline resided. These beasts, conjured through Anatole's hand gestures, breathed their steel melting breath onto their enemy, who could rival the power of entire Pantheons. Anatole then lept on top of Sitheriline. "Family reunions are always so brutally awkward, aren't they?"

Sithilerine was really beginning to hate the events that unfolded around him. First, a stranger had appeared to join the fray. He noticed that the being turned his opponent still. Before he could even care to ask who the figure was, Anatole had made his appearance well known. Sithilerine watched as dragons began to breath fire on him. "Insects should be wiser to not tickle a giant." Sithilerine began to alter his size again. He was changing to his full grown form making the size of the dragons almost nothing compared to him. Sithilerine did not plan on fighting however. He noted as yet another person had entered the fray. "The Gods will have their attention drawn here like a moth to the flame." With that taking place, he threw off Anatole making sure he didn't stay. With Sithilerine now in his full grown state, he knew traveling would be easy considering the strength of his wings. He took to air, his wings shaking the landscape. With his two hind legs, he grabbed Lea and Zeltrax knowing that those two have shown the only potential of aiding him in his conquest at the moment. With Sithilerine being full grown, traveling between worlds was easy. It wouldn't take long to out distance the others. Sithilerine was keeping aware of his surroundings while he began to speak to Zeltrax. "I know not of your name or your purpose. Right now, the only thing I care about is gaining distance between those fools. Why is that you have approached me?"

Loki disregarded Cynbel's instructions, choosing instead to stay with his daughter. As one of the more powerful Old gods, he knew that his aid could be invaluable. Besides, no one else could defuse Ronin's anger as well.
"Get off my-?" Ronin growled. "Playing around? Does he not know who I am? I am goddess of chaos itself, daughter of the Trickster. What he calls playing around I call following my nature." Those watching might think that she could get no angrier. Then she heard what Masrith had to say. Anger became cold fury. "No one harms my brother but me." She summoned magic to her hands, closing her eyes. Then raw magic exploded out of her, covering her body in a dark purple aura.
People and gods could say what they liked, but Loki cared greatly for his children. "Cynbel." His voice was cold and hard. "I suggest we hasten to aid my son. I fear I will not long be able to contain my rage." Indeed, only his eons of control prevented him from following Ronin's example.

"You cannot defeat all of us Sithilerine. You could have destroyed entire Pantheons but we are the New Gods. Five of us are worth ten of the former rulers of the universe." Connor stated. "We need Balor. Balor is even somewhat stronger than, though not nearly as powerful as Sithilerine." He stated. But Connor was the son of Danu and Shiva. "Let's see how you fair against the Son of Danu and Shiva!" Connor noted. He was separate from the world but his power over destructive forces was still immense in his power to manipulate energy. "I can conjure great bolts of lightning even in the vacuum of space, take that!" Connor commanded his forces of magic to crush Sithilerine. "You cannot escape so many of the New Gods!"

Harpokrates, Olympus, "Main Hall"

@Stephanie Dola

Trivial. That was the only way Harpokrates could describe it. The reluctance and down-right refusal to answer the call of a God of War to best a monster of this (relatively) dangerous scale was foolishness. From the days of old, gods had banded together to defeat such enemies, and in some cases even put systems in place. Apep, among the greatest of these creatures, was to be battled by Ra and those who manned the solar arks. Typhon had been bested by the Twelve Olympians acting in unison, with no voice of dissent among them despite their fractured nature. Ragnarok needn't be mentioned in detail. In a way, even the children of Anu had opposed Gilgamesh the Man-god, although his status as a "monster" was more the monstrosity which human society could become.

...And these were to be the ones who inherited the heavens, guardians of Man and the garden which is the world? They could not even get the basics right. It appeared contagious, as even Loki seemed to be falling victim to it.

But Harpokrates was aware of the plans at work. They were the natural enemy to any schemer, oh so privy to their plots and contingencies. It was only a case picking a plan to support, and watching the others fall apart. Undoubtedly some of the schemers were all too aware of what side she would choose, and had incorporated that into their own plans, something she also counted on.

Ah, the wonders of authority and omniscience. Communication became as trivial as the Merged's behaviour.

"Weapon-Wielder, I believe it may be best to lead by example. The New Gods, me among them, are an evidently..." The momentary silence created the image of Harpokrates' face scrunching up in contemplation behind their mask, "rowdy. Young and unknowing. It may be best to simply go, and display what you can do as a god of war." Her hands came together, sleeves of the robe overlapping and completely hiding the hands. Wizard, sage, oracle - Harpokrates appeared to be many things, in this attire.

"I am no combatant. I can merely advise. I wish you luck, Macnia." The girl bowed deeply.

Cynbel was about to be at his breaking point. He could only tolerate so much. Was it so hard to just listen to the War guy when it came to battle? Was it so hard to work together to defeat a monster they probably couldn't defeat alone? If every other pantheon could do it, why couldn't they?

Ronin's little outburst wasn't the thing that annoyed him the most. Sure, her acting as if she knew how to be a God was irritating, but it was nothing surprising. Being a child of Loki and Athena, that kind of personality was to be expected. Loki's words are what annoyed Cynbel, as he could not believe what Loki was saying? Who could believe that Loki would care about his children? Loki cared about Loki, it was as simple as that.

Thankfully, there was one god in the room he did actually like, and her speaking logically was enough to calm him down.

" Harpokrates does bring up a good point. I haven't done anything to prove that I deserve to be a God of War. Harpokrates, I know that you can do a wide array of magic, and you are more knowledgeable than the rest of us. Would it be possible for you to bring us to where Sithilerine is? "

All of this talking only let the beast get stronger. Once this beast was killed off for good, he was going to take a small vacation, far away from everyone else.
