I'm going to hold off my post until Lord Croake brings up the next post. Alexis isn't intitally a part of the squad so we agreed her introduction needs to be a little more contextual.
I'm waiting on @Zoldyck to post, as their character is the last of the PCs to get off the Valkyrie. If they haven't posted in the next day or so I'll move us along.
Guys, I'm sorry but I will not be able to start with this RP. I have a lot of tests coming up in the coming weeks and I really need to focus on them.
I'm terribly sorry for holding you guys up and not informing you earlier. I was actually hoping that I would be able to free up some time, but unfortunately that's just not possible.
Name: Alex Varrat Nicknames/Aliases: N/A Rank: Junior Commissar Age: 31 (Imperial Medicine has rendered him to appear in his early twenties however) Gender: Male Appearance : Alex has a young and almost boyish face. He generally does not appreciate this, believing that it makes him look like “an idiot in a commissar costume”, thus causing him to pull his cap down over his face when not in battle and in public. He is of an average build, although he is fairly well muscled thanks to his training as a commissar. His hair is jet black and cropped very short, although people very rarely see it as he likes to keep his cap on when in company. He weighs about 126 pounds and stands at 6’1. His eyes are a piercing green colour. He also has a strange habit of blending into backgrounds, much to the irritation/horror of those around him. Thankfully, he generally dousnt listen in on other peoples conversations.
Weapon(s): Cadian Pattern Hellpistol – Alex’s preferred weapon, being a crack shot with it. Munitorum Pattern Power Sword – Alex’s close combat weapon, which he generally uses only if someone has got close to him. Generally, he prefers to shoot.
Armor/Clothing: Alex dresses exactly like most commissars, wearing a greatcoat with a red-lined collar and cuffs, black combat pants and boots as well as an officer's peak cap. Under the coat he wears a flak armoured breastplate. He does not have the epaulets that are so common with commissars, for reasons that he prefers not to share. He has a holster and a sheath, to house both his weapons.
Equipment: A micro bead- For Vox communications/yelling at people Water Canteen Several power pack for his Hellpistol Imperial Guardsman’s Uplifting Primer- Being a commissar, Alex knows this book by heart. He still has a copy though, generally just to read when he has nothing to do.
History: Like most commissars, Alex was raised in a Schola Progenium orphanage, where he was taught by upholders of the imperial creed to have completely fanatical loyalty to the emperor. He was trained in military exercise, weapons proficiency, hand to hand combat and religious studies. He was considered to be a solid student, with good scores along the board, although he was considered slightly too gung-ho and impulsive for their liking. At the age of 21, he was attached to a commissar cadet squad working alongside a regiment of the mordian iron guard on the planet Athenea VI. Their duty was to put down a rebellion that had been sparked in one of the hive cities. Alex’s squad was sent to hunt down a rebel leader, only to be found several hours later by a PDF team, nursing several laspistol wounds in his abdomen and his fellow cadets nowhere to be found. He was nursed back to health and continued to fight in the war, until its end a week later when the rebellion leader was killed in a marauder bombing run. For his efforts, he was promoted to Junior Commissar. His superiors then placed him in a special operations regiment, believing that his talents as a man of the emperor and overall good shot could be useful.
Personality: Alex is a generally quiet, but stern man, rarely raising his voice above a quiet shout unless in battle and often prefers to keep away from other soldiers (a arrangement that suits said soldiers just fine). Although he seems to be a excellent example of a Junior Commissar, his stern voice hides a crippling inferiority complex that makes him almost desperate for battle and glory. He knows this about himself, therefore adding a sizable amount of self-loathing. He constantly attempts to push himself to the limit to prove to himself and the emperor that he is not a failure. He keeps his uniform and weapons in pristine condition, to the point of near OCD. However, around other soldiers, he is slightly less cold than the average commissar, which allows him to talk to standard guardsmen without them getting too nervous. One thing that the forces he has served with have noticed, is his ability to consume copious amounts of alcohol like a fish. He rarely does this anymore however, due to a unspecificed incident while attached to the Mordian Iron Guard.
For those of you who hadn't yet reacted to the baneblade, feel free to go back a bit in time, to react to Lanfried's orders, and the destruction of the baneblade, before we fully move on.
