In order to ensure the security and continuing stability, the Republic will be reorganized. Into the FIRST, GALACTIC, EMPIRE! For a safe, and secure, society.

It has been 8 years since the reformation of the Republic into the Galactic Empire and it is a time of peace and prosperity, or so the Holovids claim. Tyranny, fear, greed. These are all the inner machinations of the Empire. While there are idealists within the Empire that is far from what the Empire has become. On Boonta, one of the Imperials hubs near the infamous Hutt space the regional Governor Sarrus lords above all. An uncaring dictator who only cares so long as the food, credits, alcohol and spice keeps flowing.

This makes daily life no easier, Colonel Vale fills in for the lack of cruelty. Stepping firmly on any sign of insurrection, ensuring that the planet is well defended and that all quotas for the mines is met on time. In all but name the planet is under his control and a firm and cold grip it is. Yet as is always true, the more control the Empire tries to exert the more people who begin to resent it instead of fear it. Boonta is on the,

Edge of Rebellion

It is 11BBY, and the Empire controls the Galaxy. This roleplay will take place on the world of Boonta, a scrapyard, scum ridden mining world near Hutt Space. The world itself acts as an important point for all Imperial Interests in the nearby sectors. Though all throughout the galaxy dissent is growing as people finally begin to realize, that the Galactic Empire is not as good as it was once hoped to be. While it promised stability after the Clone Wars and order, it merely offers oppression and control.

As such all over the galaxy small cells of rebels are rising up, however the Empire is quick to extinguish these groups. Cells struggle to survive in an ever changing Galaxy, will you fight for the security of the Empire? Or are you brave enough to stand in front of the Empire's war machine, raise your hand and say “No More”?

Boonta:

Boonta, like most outer rim worlds has a smaller population compared to most core bound worlds. With a population of just over eighty million, per the last consensus thirty years ago. Despite this small population the world is still of great importance due to its strategic location. Able to act as a supply base for the Imperial Efforts in the system, with additional slave labor it can be easily mined and provides convenient access to Hutt space but is not so close as to mean the entire world is corrupt.

The world itself has three major hubs, the first being Boonta. The city named after the hutt and the planet itself. This hub hosts the podracing stadium and has the major spaceport, it also plays host to the Governors palace and the majority of the Imperial presence. The second city is the Shining Gem (Pre Imperial: Ko Yaril) an older city mainly inhabited by the Tionese and has been ever since the Hutts first "claimed" the planet millenia ago. The third city is the mining capital known as Hollow Rock, previously a Tionese settlement it was renamed after the Imperials discovered it could be a useful mining hub for their operations.

The rest of the population largely lives in small towns or farmsteads in the vast greenlands on the planet that are ideally suited for growing crops or raising livestock. However there are two deserts near each of the poles, and the equilateral region plays host to several major forests.

In space there lies a vast scrapyard of abandoned and useless ships, in it there is a space station host to five thousand people who spend their days stripping ships of useful parts for the Empires war machine.

Name: Alexander Fo’lin
Age: 32
Species: Human
Appearance:

Abilities/Skills:

  • Sharpshooter
  • Strategic Planning
  • Survival Training

Equipment:

  • Sniper
  • Jetpack
  • Recon Droid

Personality/Motivation:
Alexander is has always wanted order in the galaxy, no matter the cost. But behind the vail, he is also interested in collecting artifacts of a forgotten age.

Biography:
Alexander was born on Coruscant into a prestigious family that had connections to the senate. Once the Empire had been formed with the execution of Order 66 the Fo’lin family backed the Emperor both morally and financially. Alexander had already been in military service since his 20th Birthday but had very little to do with the Clone Wars. Instead, due to his Covert skills, Alexander was part of a special task force that would go and hunt down remaining Jedi that had escaped the grasp of the empire.

Secrets: It is rarely known that Fo’lin actually holds the rank of Officer within the Imperial Navy, but due to his love of field operations he mainly deals with special tasks before he takes command. Also Alexander is one the very few still alive that know of Vader’s apprentice and has in fact taken him out on a couple of field exercises to home his skills.

a) With this amount of detail I don't see this being accepted currently.
b) They have Inquisitors and the ISB for chasing down Jedi.
c) Wouldn't his superiors know? What rank?
d) Okay...
e) Vader doesn't have an Apprentice. Force Unleashed isn't canon it was even disregarded in Legends later.

Largely greenlands, scrapyard yep. Maybe not quite like a moon but that's the idea, on clear nights it'll be visible. There is some desert land on the northern and southern poles, and most the forests are limited to the equator.

Was the Open Circle Rebellion really led, at one point, by Anakin Skywalker? I'm guessing that might just be propaganda peddled by Obi-Wan and the other rebels to keep Darth Vader's identity a secret and not create uneasiness among the rebel forces, or something like that.

I'll reword it. Kenobi is hiding out on Tattooine still, what I mean is that the Open Circle fleet was lead by Kenobi and Skywalker. I'll tweak my wording.

Name:Lieutenant Thule Mac'Don
Age:24
Species:Human
Appearance: A young man in his twenties Thule Anderson stands tall at 6 feet, 5 inches with a pair of broad shoulders but a rather slender man by nature. His time at the Raithal Academy left him rather physically fit and healthy, but he simply doesn't have the body type to properly develop any noticeable muscle bulk like a number of his peers. His blonde-brown hair is kept short due to a combination of military regulation and because he likes keeping his hair short for ease of care. His eyes are a rather light shade of blue.

While he is quite proud to wear his imperial uniform and keeps it in good condition, Thule's choice of weapons make him stand out a little. His weapons of choice are a vibrobladed longsword and a Dissuader KD-30 slugthrower pistol (Somewhat infamous due to it firing metal-coated slugs which were hollow and filled with borless acid. The contents of these projectiles would eat through any armor that it struck, as well as flesh and bone...)

Abilities/Skills:
  • Sword combat Training
  • Slugthrower training
  • Command Training

Equipment:
  • Dissuader KD-30 Slugthrower Pistol (Plus ammo)
  • Vibrobladed longsword.
  • Shock Baton

Personality/Motivation:
Having grown up to see the tail end of the Clone Wars and the raise of the Empire Thule understands the dangers of chaos and the importance of having a solid, stable foundation so that the average citizen can live out their lives with each day being more or less the same as the one before, with change coming about due to their own actions rather then an unexpected outside force. He is not blind to the fact that the Empire has internal problems that are largely linked to corruption and personal ambition being selected over the good of the Empire as a whole and he feels that the Empire's anti-alien policies and willingness to engage in slavery are hindering and hurting the Empire more then they are helping, these problems can and should be fixed by the Empire itself. Inviting needless bloodshed and chaos by attempting to overthrow the young government without giving it a chance to work out its issues is nothing short of treason.

Biography:
Born on the planet of Naboo, Thule Mac'Don was the youngest of three children with two elder brothers whom he looked up to and parents that loved him dearly. His childhood was spent in the dark shadow of the Clone Wars but Thule himself didn't really understand what the war was about, why it was so important or even why it was being fought. It was honestly just this big thing that was happening far away that didn't seem to affect his day to day life... until his eldest brother Kiue signed up to serve with the Republic navy.

At first things were alright, Kiue sent letters home every now and then when he had the time. Thule looked up to Kiue because as far as he was concerned his big brother was a hero, fighting the bad people and protecting the innocent. Then one day a letter came, announcing that Kiue Mac'Don had died in the line of duty, sealing off a malfunctioning bulkhead to save the lives of his crew mates after their ship came under fire from the CIS.

Kiue's death shook Thule deeply, making the adolescent question a lot of things about life, himself and the war that was still raging despite the fact that it had cost his brother his life. Seriously looking into why the war had started in the first place in order to try and understand just why his brother was dead, when he found out that the CIS had started the war because they wanted to leave the corrupt Republic filled Thule with hatred and rage. He viewed the CIS as quitters to cowardly to try and fix the issues with the Republic and instead started this horrible, bloody war that had cost him someone that he looked up to and loved dearly.

When the war came to an end and the Empire rose from the ashes, Thule was more then happy to sign up for military service. Part of him wanted to do it to honor his elder brother, but mostly he did it so that he could play an active role to ensure that order was brought to the galaxy and that peace would reign.

He spent several years of preparing and training in various youth programs until he was old enough to join the Raithal Academy in order to become an officer. He took to his studies like a fish to water, but it was during the simulated 16 day siege that all students of the academy went through that Thule started to shine. Before the siege began, he made two minor but important decisions about the weapon load outs for his troops; All solders needed to wield a vibroblade that they had at least a basic understanding of and squad leaders would be armed with slugthrower weapons instead of the standard blasters.

While not the norm, this set up made the solders under Thule's command most effective at close to medium range, with the odd sniper to cover long range requirements. The mixture of blasters and slugthrowers allowed his men to unleash absolute hell on the attacking infantry; armors and tactics that worked on one kind of weapon didn't really work on the other and on the occasions when enemy commandos managed to sneak past the waves of fire his men were well enough trained and equipped to fight in the ensuring melees.

Thule made it through the 16 days with ease and passed with flying colors.

Passing the Academy and joining the military properly at the rank of Lieutenant, Thule's first command was to be apart of the peace keeping force in Boonta. Shortly after arriving, he made it the policy of the squads under his command that all sergeants have at least a slugthrower side arm and all solders are trained in the use of melee weapons, mainly the shock baton but a vibroblade is required as a weapon of last resort.

Name: Jacob "Jackie" Parson

Age: 26

Species: Human

Appearance: One might say that Jacob is a little short to be an imperial trooper. His squad mates easily go over him by a few inches, and they are no giants themselves, the tallest standing at only around six feet tall. His short platinum blonde hair is always in a shaggy mess; Jacob has stopped bothering to comb it down as his helmet will rip it all up as soon as he puts it on, showing only his soft brown eyes anyway. One very-visible scar, which would most likely be correctly identified as cauterized by anyone passing by, reaches down from his forehead, curves around the bridge of his nose, and continues down his face until it reaches his upper lip. Several perpetually-dirty smudges dot his face, a testament to all of the field work he gets sent on in comparison to the pencil pushers and desk jockies that litter the imperial army. His trooper armor covers the rest of his body.

Abilities/Skills:
  • Blaster rifle marksmanship training
  • Survivalist training
  • Proficiency with the maintenance and repair of weapons and equipment, such as blasters, re-breathers, and environment suits.

Equipment:
  • Field-repair toolkit
  • Blaster rifle
  • "1001 Varieties of Flora and Fauna: A Trooper's Survival Guide", a book written by Jacob's commander when training to become a trooper. Never quite got to the publishing point, though.

Personality/Motivation: Jacob, while not a man without principles, is fiercely loyal to the Empire, and by extension, his superiors. If ordered, Jacob will swiftly massacre a village, as he would assume the action to be necessary to secure a united and prosperous Empire. When left to his own devices, he prefers to forgo any perceived unneeded collateral damage and complete his objectives with surgical precision, following the instructions of his superior officer to the letter. Off-duty, it would have very hard to pick Jacob out of a crowd, as he behaves like any other person: He jokes, he makes casual conversation, and doesn't embellish any details about his work. It would shock most people to know that he'd be ready to kill them without hesitation if the order ever came.

Jacob fights for a united and prosperous Empire, where all can forge their own path in life, and he thoroughly believes that even the simple slave will be able to rise to greatness if they would just give the Empire a chance to sort things out. He feels pity for revolting slaves and rebels, as Jacob sees it as them simply not realizing that the very toils they scorn will give rise to a system where they can be their own men and women, and by revolting, are sealing their fates as mere slaves and peasants.

One day, as a sort of a pie-in-the-sky dream, Jacob wishes to join the ranks of Imperial Intelligence as a special agent. In short, Jacob has watched too many spy flicks, and is either naive, or chooses to ignore the fact that missions given to Agents are not always as fantastic as single-handedly shutting down a Rebel orbital platform's defense systems or busting a galactic smuggling ring. Still, Jacob keeps his head high and his loyalty to the Empire strong in hopes of a chance at reaching that pie.

Biography: Born and raised on Boonta near Hollow Rock to a family of scrap-hoarders loyal to the Empire, Jacob was quickly taken in by the tales of fantastic feats of strength and brilliance displayed by the Empire's finest, told to him as bedtime stories by his mother and father. When not collecting the junk that crash-landed out of the orbital trash heap above, Jacob helped his father make use of it all, building all manner of utilities and repairing things brought to them by their neighbors in the surrounding area. Jacob's proudest moment came at the age of fourteen, when a patrolling squad of troopers were making their rounds around the perimeter of Hollow Rock. He heard one of the troopers complaining about their blaster rifle malfunctioning. When Jacob approached and, rather sheepishly out of reverence, offered to repair it, the trooper took him up on his offer, albeit with a strong tone of sarcasm which Jacob quickly picked up on. He simply took this as a challenge. The squad followed Jacob to his workshop where he examined the rifle. After a few minutes of prodding and dismantling, he discovered the cause of the malfunction, that being a power cell had discharged prematurely in its chamber, frying some of the circuitry. Jacob got to work, replacing the affected wires and chips with, although old and fidgety, functioning components. Handing the rifle back to the trooper, he cheered to himself silently when seeing the face of the trooper after a successful test-fire: Complete and total bewilderment. After an explanation of the problem and how to both avoid and remedy it in the future, the trooper thanked Jacob and even gave him some credits as payment.

Six years later, Jacob waved good-bye to the beaming, proud faces of his parents as he left for the capital city to join the ranks of the imperial army. For him, the posters and stories from travelers did not do Boonta justice. He marveled at the governor's palace and watched the many ships fly to and from the spaceport, their reflective hulls occasionally blinding Jacob. He even saw some of the people that were in the stories his parents used to tell him as a child. Embarrassingly, it took all of his strength not to run up and greet them. He eventually forced himself to stop admiring the hub, and made his way to the recruitment center. Jacob spent the better part of nearly a year at the academy. He had opted for additional courses, specifically in survival and mechanical engineering, so he spent more time in training than some of his peers, who were content with their basic combat training and took the chance to ship out early. At twenty one years old with all the teachings of his instructors he could keep in his head, Jacob was shipped out back to Boonta. His first assignment was as a mine guard near Hollowed Rock, but he never got to see his parents as they were a few miles out from his post, and strict schedules didn't leave time for him to trek all the way out to visit. Jacob continued to be given smaller assignments all the way up to present day, slowly gaining rank, and is currently a Corporal, which he understands that he will be until he sees major action, but he is content with it.

Secrets: Jacob collects flowers of all types, and keeps them in an air-tight glass case under his bunk, with some smaller spares in his locker.

Name: Gromm Starfallen
Age: 33
Species: Human (Bootian)
Appearance:

Gromm is often unshaven, dressed in dirty farmer's clothes with an unusual number of pouches and storage. A scoped blaster pistol is always holstered at his side and his signature red goggles are always perched on his head.

Abilities/Skills:
  • Skilled Pilot- Before settling down as a farmer on his home world, Gromm was a Republic Fighter Pilot, the an Imperial Fighter Pilot, and a Trade Freighter Pilot after that. So he has much experience in a cockpit.
  • Combat Experience- Gromm has felt the fear and exhilaration of battle before, on the battlefield and in a cockpit, so he won't crack under the pressure of battle.
  • Quick Reflexes- Being a former Pilot, Gromm developed some lightning fast reflexes in the cockpit, it would be an impressive feat to get the drop on him.

Equipment:
  • Scoped Blaster Pistol 'Maria'- This handy blaster pistol has been keeping Gromm safe for well over 10 years. It's named for a fallen comrade.
  • Lucky Pair of Red Goggles- A Pair of Goggles Gromm acquired when he started piloting trade ships, they always seem to bring him good fortune.
  • Gromm's Modified Farmer's Gear- Though being an honest man and a former soldier, times can get tough. And Gromm might occasionally have to do business with some less than reputable characters. So he's modified his daily work attire for a variety of purposes.

Personality/Motivation: Gromm usually keeps to himself, tending to his farm and only leaving to head to town to buy various supplies or deal with Smugglers. He doesn't have much of an opinion about the empire, despite serving with it for a number of years. As long as they stayed out of his business and didn't affect his way of life, he was content. A rebellion on the other hand, would pose a problem. While many rebellions have good intentions, sometimes rebels can be vicious to common folk and if they expect him to give them supplies or shelter them, they would be disappointed. He wasn't about to ruin his fairly respectable reputation with the empire by housing insurrectionists. No, he would rather just keep to himself and his lifestyle, his adventuring days were over.

Biography: Gromm Starfallen was born 42 BBY on Boonta in the small fishing town of Raek. Gromm's father, Jax Starfallen, was a fisherman and his mother worked as the secretary of a company in the large city of Kael about an hour away. [WIP]

@Bright_Ops You're CS is cleared with me, though Vale might not tolerate insubordination unless rather extreme circumstances occur so keep that dislike of officers quiet. :P

@Frizan You're good to go though reminder that military ranks are for the most part not given out for exemplary service, they are usually given out on a need/time served basis. That being said Vale rewards dedication and results. :P

Side note: I feel like Vale is running the SS with all the blonde haired blue eyes troopers. lol

Not Sep but I can answer. Small villages you would most likely not see anyone directly affiliated with the hutts unless they had some sort of warehouse or other illegal activity being housed nearby. Big cities though however they would definitely be present especially in the capital.

Understood completely. Tis why it is a secret. Would I be correct in assuming that saying that the Sector Governor is a corrupt, useless prick is perfectly acceptable provided that you don't say it within hearing range of him?
