Hey everyone, sorry for the wait! I ended up having quite the disastrous evening, starting with being puked on by my dad's dog, then my train being late, getting home late and finding the internet was out (and honestly, at that point I was so tired and annoyed I didn't even bother using my phone instead...), so I just slept and woke up now... Anyway, post should be up sometime today!

Side question. Does anyone else ever committed blasphemy and watch their anime dubbed? I prefer to watch with sub titles but you really need to pay close attention to read what's being said.

Last nighT I started SAO again but dubbed instead of subtitled so I could work at the same time. I have like five books I need to b finish so I was trying to work while I listened to the show.

I always commit blasphemy for this. I don't have a long enough attention span to watch full anime subbed. xD

Despite the terminology, I do have doubts that sandwich, even thrown by Kirito could ever get up to 1000 km... xD

For me, it all depends on what I'm watching and with who. Generally, I prefer subs when I'm watching most things alone, as I've gotten used to it enough to get the feelings and intonations from the characters' voices, even if I can't understand them entirely. However, when it's something like a Studio Ghibli movie where I want to focus on the art and animation as much as possible or I'm watching it with family, I'll probably watched dubbed. They're high enough budget to hire good actors as well, whereas smaller shows usually have great seiyuus in Japanese and pretty crappy voice actors in English, with the exception of the REALLY popular shows like Naruto, One Piece and the like. One example is that I find that English voice actors can't do emotionless, flat and monotone characters as well as the Japanese and just end up sounding edgy and like emos.

tl;dr I prefer subs most of the time, but dubs have their advantages, like in the situations that @pockets described. I can't cook while watching subbed anime, that's for sure!

Most of the time, I watch subbed. There are a few things, however, that I like better dubbed; Sorcerous Stabber Orphan (because I like the English voice actors better) and Howl's Moving Castle (because Billy Crystal as Calcifer is amazing) come to mind. I absolutely refuse to watch Detective Conan dubbed, though: Jimmy Kudo? Really? Besides, the Japanese voice actors are better.

Oh that's true too! There's a few anime with better English voices and some really good voice talent that I watch in English! Persona 4 is a big one because not only was I used to English voices from the European version of the game, they had bloody TROY BAKER as Kanji and that is an experience every single human deserves to immerse themselves in. Though, it DOES get a bit weird when the guy who voices the main character also voices the main villain...

Loved the English voice actors in Cowboy Bebop, especially for Ed, she was my favorite. Glad to see I'm not the only heretic around here! Lol.

Yeah I work best with some background noise, so I'll put on music or a movie or show that I've seen before and leave a tiny window on my computer so I can open my books and write. Best of all world's that way and I've got a huge project starting in a couple of days so I'm gearing up for it.

People got sick and grumpy and now I totally missed the conversation! Agh!

As for bows and exp/skills, the system looked like practice improved specific skills but Exp improved base stats. That's why a master smith could just be competent as a fighter.

And now I'm way behind on designing my CS... grr.

Slow weekend? Everyone doing okay? I'll post tomorrow if it's needed, but I'm waiting on other people to give some signs of life!

@Yunagi I'm doing well, just waiting for Lady Tale to get back from her weekend activities and post for me. Although I did have a proposition for you: since you've decided to scout ahead I thought you might be interested in being the lone traveler in my last post. It'd be a nice way of introducing the two groups. Even if we decide to go our separate ways after the encounter, I thought having some contact with each other might prove beneficial later.

Apologies for my posting delay. Halloween yesterday. Day of the dead stuff today, AND today marks the beginning of NaNoWriMo. My head hurts already. I'm not drunk enough for this.

Quick question, when in the SAO timeline does the RP take place? Just wondering, so I can kinda plan out the character and other minor details before hand.

Also, got the 100th post without even noticing. .-.
