Hello! Let me know if you'd like me to adjust anything. I'm not super well-versed in the lore of Morrowind, personally, so there might be some inconsistencies. (I'm a bit out of practice, as well. Oops!)

I'm going to take that as an approval of go femenize him in the name of Talos for the lols. @Gcold any objections?

Not feminize, per se, but maybe just give him really fine features. Almost an elf with residual tusks and able to pass as a homely girl in some light or given some effort?

<Snipped quote by Leidenschaft>

I would expect Sevine to know Jorwen, perhaps she knows him from him mending a torn hem for her? I would be fine if you listed her as Jorwen knowing her. Nonetheless, since they've served in the civil war, there's a possibility they could have been in the same encampment together, and a man with that big of a beard, would definitely stick in her mind, so she would recognize him if she saw him again.

Sounds coolio, I'll list them as acquaintances and occasionally share a campfire with a few others on their down-time. Perhaps Felix would also know them, I would think a man who knew how to perform like he does would be popular among the camp. Downtime is boring, after all. Since we are all packed in in this camp, it wouldn't be outlandish for some of us to already know each other. I say we get rid of some of those "complete stranger" and "none yet"s and at least have our characters aware of each other. They'd have to have crossed paths, especially with Jorwen and Sadann's roles in the camp. Not to mention they could've gone on a patrol with another character at some point.

What say you fine lads and lasses?

One major thing I can already spot is the tobacco. That doesn't exist in ES, the closest thing would have to be skooma/moon sugar

@Leidenschaft

More or less the plan XD

@ClocktowerEchos

Tobacco absolutely does exist in Elder Scrolls. It is generally grown in Cyrodiil and imported from there. One thing I didn't consider would be the expense and difficulty of acquiring it given that I imagine that a Stormcloak-run Skyrim would likely have some issues with trade with Cyrodiil? I can reconsider that aspect of her character if it's too much of an issue.

Nothing bad, particularly, just inconsistent. Here goes:

-Vvardenfell is completely destroyed as of 4e5 and is now what everyone knows as the Scathing Bay, for its water is still so hot from the volcanic activity still going on that it is impossible to swim in. I think. Anyhow, your character can't come from there, especially at her age. The maximum lifespan of Dunmer are 400 years, I believe. If she was born and came from Vvardenfell, she'd have to be a little over 200 years old.

http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Fourth_Era Read this.

-Speaking of age, she is far, far, far too young for a mer. Mer age and mature at very slow rates compared to other races. Your character would probably be a toddler. Fix that.

-Her affiliation with the bandits of the Reach aren't going to be so good. You see, I've no problem with her being taken in by bandits... if she had a useful skill before ever even meeting them. If not, she'd have her innocence taken for the sport of it and then left on the side of the road. Also, just because you are friends with one bandit gang doesn't get you in with others. Those bandit gangs who are not part of the Highwaymen's Guild, of which is an overwhelming majority of them, aren't the nicest people to each other, let alone outsiders to their respective gangs.

The Forsworn would be even moreso aggressive, as they tend have Reachman supremacy and nationalism in their political philosophy. Also, fyi, Forsworn is not interchangeable with Reachman. Using the term Forsworn to refer to Reachmen is like using Taliban to refer to Afghani people.

-Another thing, and it might just be a typo, is that the Civil War and this RP is set in Skyrim, not Morrowind, as you've said in your character background.

-She's going to need something better than two daggers. Even denim is enough to stave off a cut by a knife, so she'll be woefully outmatched against someone wearing so much as a padded cloth gambeson. Give her something better. It's a mercenary camp, she's bound to find something from the camp quartermaster if she didn't have it already. Also, it wouldn't hurt to give her a bigger, better quiver. Most medieval quivers of war archers held 40+, but I'd be willing to allow up to, but not over, 35-40 arrows.

-Perhaps the biggest point I'd like to make is how she's going to be finding with that weakened grip on her hand missing "several fingers." We want people with at least a little weakness, but it has to make sense and not completely make your character useless.

-Also, Varus sounds more Imperial than Nordic. The most Latin-sounding name in the long list of Nordic names is Magnus. Despite that, you see characters with Baltic Indo-European names in the game, like Farkas and Vilkas. Make of that what you will, either way, change the name of her mortal enemy to something more Pseudo-/Norse or Baltic or something.

THANKS OBAMAHZ!!!

Here's a pad for y'all.

I'm going to take that as an approval of go femenize him in the name of Talos for the lols. @Gcold any objections?

You have all my endorsements. Do it.

@DeprivedOfWords I've responded to some of your concerns via PM, here's the rest.

Non-Ashlanders just started to return to Vvardenfell in 4E 203, under the supernatural restoring powers of the Nerevarine and Azura. Before that, only select Ashlander tribes managed to survive. If you want to know more about Morrowind, check out the second OOC post.

On the issue of Dunmer ages, I think Barenziah could reproduce at the age of 18. However, this is by no means equal to adulthood. There are a decent amount of evidence on how old elves can get, but not so much on how young there were before maturity. The problem I see is not her physical age, but rather how little time has passed with all Relmyna had been through. If you still want her to be very young, 30 is the minimum.

Everything else Leiden said are also good points. I would like to ask how she ended up in with the mercenaries. You can explain to me in PM is that's a secret.

Dual dagger is acceptable as sneak weapons. Relmyna doesn't need to have bigger blades if she's not the muscle type. She can obtain other weapons in the RP. And Leiden, I would not win knife fights with a pair of jeans.

Missing finger is a delicate issue to handle. Let me know exactly which digit(s) she lost.

So Relmyna is an excellent cook, but where is the provisioning skill?

Just to nitpick the nitpicker, Magnus is not Nordic because it did not originate in Skyrim or Atmora.

Norse/Northern European name, whatever, pedant. pfft. And I never said win, just they could withstand a cut from a knife if it's hardier denim. My gripe isn't with her having them, it's just the way she uses them. Even if she made the knives bigger and hardier than just plain daggers, that would be fine. Say, something with an 11+ inch blade.

Thanks for the help! I'll rework her character sheet and post an updated one once I'm done. I'm pretty obviously out of my league here when it comes to lore stuff, so I'm glad you two know enough to keep me in check with regard to the things you mentioned.

Not in the traditional DnD sense, no. The child is always the race of the mother with very residual traits from the father. It took generation upon generation for the Bretons to come about from the Nedic peoples there.

I only have two gripes. One is with the armor and the other is with the weapon. Also, just a quick fyi, I'd class a glaive as a spear(-type weapon, or a polearm, as it were). My other point about the weapon is that glaives were used in 15-16th century Europe specifically to counter better armored knights, which were so outfitted at the time that they were basically invincible to anyone other than another knight. This being the case, its difficulty with armor as you describe isn't a thing. One would stab for weak-points like gaps in the armor around the joints and the eye-slits, as well as that spike on the back and a good thrust from the tip of the head able to pierce plate.

Admittedly, halberds and glaives were used in the Third era. As far as I know, they were removed again because of engine limitations.

''In ten minutes, the Mages will come and bomb the hell out of this place. If you can beat me in less than ten minutes, you'll be able to escape in time.''

I did make my character one-armed, scarred, with one working eye and a nail in his head for a reason.
