Once upon a time in a land far away there lived a man called Creosote, a sorcerer by trade. He was as cunning and powerful as noone else, but most of all was he greedy. Many were the people who sought his services, and high were his fees. So high, in fact, that he is said to have alone bankrupted entire kingdoms. It was not long before he was the richest man in the entire known world. After all, the saying about rich people today goes "as rich as Creosote". And as most rich greedy men do, he gathered all his treasure in secret vaults and refused to share even a speck of his wealth with others. In the end he died, loved by none and hated by all. But not even death could undo his greed. As he felt his time grow short, he erected a great tower in which to house all his treasure as well as his bodily remains. The tower was filled to the brim with dangers; warding enchantments, fierce beasts and deadly traps guarded every inch of the great building. Even so, the rumors of the place started to spread. It was not long until the first claimants came to retrieve their lost wealth from the secret vaults within the tower. More followed, and a small settlements soon began taking shape around its base.
Today, the city of Towertown is a well known place to all adventurers and fortune seekers. It is a bustling metropolis of commerce, as well as the base of any and every enterprise to steal the riches of Creosotes treasure. And even though more lives have been lost than coins retrieved in the hundred years that have passed since the doors were first breached, hope has never faltered. The exstacy of gold has cast its own spell on the people here, forever drawing them into the dangrous darkness of the tower of treasure!
Hiya and welcome to The Tower of Treasure! This here is a game in which we'll be the adventurers trying to brave the dangers of Creosotes tower in order to steal his gold. It's a classic dungeoncrawl kind of adventure with focus on excitement and fun. We'll mix the action of the missions inside the tower with wild nights in Towertowns taverns and just generally enjoy ourselves.
