It seemed like all Elizabeth was doing today was causing problems. For gods' sakes, she'd spent almost a whole year living by herself. Why, all of a sudden, did she have trouble now? Even through her obvious distress at getting involved in something she may could have avoided, though she was a Hunter herself, her expression remained stoic. It had been a while since she'd ridden in a vehicle. She and Mason had made their ways on foot, and then when Mason vanished, she obviously was not able to afford a taxi or drive. As she stood, her fanny pack bounced and made a clink-clink as the gold coins inside of it rattled. She tested her footing, realizing that she was indeed stable enough to carry her own weight on foot.

"I can walk out," she said, knowing this was true at least to a car. She also didn't fancy the idea of being carried by the vampire. Anya still slightly unsettled her, and Elizabeth was ready to pull her cross back out at any given moment.

When Dmitri made the comment about Anya hosting a party, Elizabeth wondered what he'd meant. Though soon after that, she deducted that there must be even more people approaching the apartment. Great. She felt an itching sensation, telling her to run, yet again. But still, the only exit was pretty much guarded. She wondered if they'd let her go.

Then, the feeling seemed to fade. They're not going to hurt me, she tried to tell herself.

David paused at the door reaching out, he could feel the presence of three minds rather close to the door. He paused and sighed. "Their expecting us, I suppose we should go make introductions." Walking up to the door he knocked then spoke. "David Solomon, I'm a Demon Hunter out of London. I was tailing that Vampire in their to make sure she didn't harm the young girl, now would you all mind if we did this face to face rather than through the door?" He paused leaning on his staff.

Letting them all see the cat heads on the staff, meaning that it was in truth the staff of Solomon. "As for my friend, her name is Trinity and she's helping me." He finished throwing his cigarette on the ground, stamping it out. "However I will assume the girl is a hostage if you don't respond and then I show you why my families name is rather infamous." Both his hands were at his side one to grab the shotgun, the other the pistol in case they did turn violent.

Anya stared at the door, then Dmitri, then Liz and sighed. This kid was already more trouble than she was worth. "No..I guess I was spotted toting Liz to my apartment" she replied meekly. She really didn't want to move to a different apartment.

Anya listened to the man speak then her expression instantly changed once the man suggested she would feed from a defenseless little girl. She stomped over to the door and flung it open.

She glared up at the two, beyond pissed, and growled. "First off, people need to stop treating my apartment like it's a damn nightclub. Secondly, how DARE you suggest I would feed from a little girl? Thirdly, WHY would I take anyone hostage? When I need to feed, I convince people and they agree. I don't kill people or take them hostage anymore, I haven't for at-least a century, and I regret when I used to." She spoke and huffed angrilly, crossing her arms.

She glared at the shotgun and pistol, "I also don't take kindly to threats, you could like, ASK questions instead of assuming everything. Considering you know I'm a vampire that means you're a hunter and more than likely have information that I'M a hunter." She continued. "IF I wanted to drain the kid I wouldn't have toted her for over an hour, put her in bed so she didn't die from hypothermia, AND heat her a can of noodle-o's!"

She shook her head, sighing. "Humans, so predictable. Never think things through logically. You also better not be the guy that busted my door or I'm kicking your ass, hunter of Solomon or not."

She then turned to Dmitri and walked over, sitting on the table in front of him. "It's just these guys...whether or not we leave is up to you, I'm not really threatened by them, but you and Liz are human." She told him.

Typical racist humans, thinking every single vampire is out to murder the world and taking little kids hostage. She shook her head, growling at the thought.

As they entered the apartment, the little vampire girl (woman?) went off on a rant. She decided to let the girl finish her tirade as she crossed her arms.

When she was finished, Trinity held up a finger "You know, for a vampire, you sure talk a hell of a lot. Pardon us, as demon hunters, to assume the worst in vampires as we see them. You see, in the years I've been doing this, I never had a vampire do anything other than try to kill me, so I learn through experience. As you can see, we didn't barge in here, we knocked. We also announced we wanted to come in, rather than start shooting up the place. We also mentioned nothing about feeding, we said she was taken hostage. That could be for a variety of reasons, we weren't the ones to assume feeding. You were."

Trinity looked at the others in the room, first the girl to make sure she was unharmed and it appeared so. Then to the other man, she gave a brief once over, before returning looks with the vampire girl, "Lovely place you got here, by the way."

I keep my PP-2000 pointed at the door, until Anya steps into my line of fire, when I lower the barrel just enough to not be pointing it at her back. I relax a little after Anya's tirade and Trinity's response. He wasn't to thrilled with the idea of having a Solomon in town, his experience with them had not been pleasant. Snotty, arrogant, SoBs every freaking time, always throwing their name out as if it made them some jugernaught, when most of them spent their lives sitting on their asses babysitting. I resisted the urge to spit, at the man's feet. but this was quickly getting far to crowded a party for his tastes. Since no one was trying to start anything, I holster my gun, and glance at the three beings before me, my gaze resting at last on Anya.

"I apologize for not announcing my visit, I had hoped to do this in a more public venue, but other events forced me to delay things uncomfortably. The group I mentioned earlier will be meeting tonight at the club Red's and White's for their next attempt, and if I'm not mistaken, the devil is leading the ritual, so I have no reason to doubt it's success unless it's interrupted. I will have someone take care of your door, by lunch today. If you're interested, ask for me at Makarov's Diner, before super. This party is getting a tad crowded for my tastes, so if you don't mind, I'll be on my way now."

Dmitri moved to the door, and glared at Solomon on his way out, the man probably couldn't help being new in town, but his timing and arrogance were really off putting to one so used to the mafia scene, arrogance got you killed, competence and professionalism were the things that mattered. As an after thought, Dmitri pauses at the bottom of the front steps, and turns back to the room, calling in to Liz. "You want a lift to your place Liz, or at least to end of your street?" Dmitri doubted she wanted to go anywhere with anyone, but if she wanted out of there, she might take him up until they turned the first corner at least. And he wasn't really sure if she even had a street address, so his question was a bit more awkward than he liked but it was enough to get the job done.

The first thing Elizabeth heard on the other side of the door was a male voice. She realized she'd heard stories from Mason about the Solomon family, or as Mason called it, the "Solomon Clan." Though, she couldn't bring herself to focus enough to remember. The name gave her a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. And then, Anya began her rampage. Elizabeth shrunk back to sit on the bed that she'd been resting on, staring with wide eyes at the scene unfolding. It took the vampire a few minutes to get all of her frustration and anger out on the man, but when she finally did, Elizabeth could feel herself relax again.

When the intruding woman began to speak, whose name was allegedly Trinity, Elizabeth noted that she was rather calm, though very sarcastic. Still, Elizabeth got a good vibe from her - she didn't feel that she was an immediate threat.

Dmitri spoke briefly to Anya, and Elizabeth couldn't very well tell if there was venom or spite or none at all in his voice. He moved to the door and then his gaze fell upon her, and she could feel herself wriggling in discomfort. To go or not? That was the question at the moment. After all, the man didn't seem interested in harming her. He'd just seemed interested in speaking with the vampire.

And he also protected me, Elizabeth reminded herself. She nodded at him. "You can take me home."

Securing her backpack upon her shoulders, and putting a hand on her fanny pack to make sure it was in place, she followed out after Dmitri. Instead of glaring at the man called Solomon, she only looked up at him innocently.

And in the bushes, out in front of Anya's apartment, a shady figure watched undetected. Before it could be noticed by the departing humans, it slithered out of sight.

David didn't even flinch as the girl ranted on about how he was wrong, both his hands moving to rest on the cane. "Obviously never heard of Jack the Ripper, or at least the real story." The man responded moving out of the doorway he lean against it. "Jack was a five year old boy, he was a vampire sure but five none the less. Arthur Solomon let him go home to his mother. It was twenty-five young women and five years before they killed him, he evaded police because not only was he a child he also registered as a London hunter." David responded. "Now you can call me racist if you like but everyone has a breaking point. Everyone is capable of doing terrible things."

Drawing out another one his herbal cigarettes he looked at Anya then at Trinity. "Some of the great hunters were Vampires, werewolves, and other beasts. They still eventually went mad, even human Hunters get it some times, my families magic helps us deal with it but... Well other Hunter families aren't so lucky and Solomon's often put them down." He told them taking another long draw from his smoke. "I would have tailed you no matter what, being Hunter is only about three steps from being a serial killer." He moved from the wall spinning his staff from one hand.

He turned looking at the other man. "Nice gun, though bad idea to shoot towards the staff it can protect it's carrier from mortal weapon pretty well. Besides killing a Solomon is kind of death sentence, it's letting shooting a member of a mafia family." Replied the young man. "So if the lady doesn't mind and the little girl is safe I'd like to ask what you all know about demons? Because in truth I came here looking for one, Asmodeus demon king of lust." He paused after that. "His cult might be in town... More importantly it might be trying to bring him back." He finished, finally cluing them as to why a Solomon from London would be here with a rather powerful old magic item.

Anya frowned, her arms still crossed, while listening to Trinity and David. She sighed before speaking, "You have a point..I guess.". Then she realized she'd never actually called him racist out-loud, a psychic hunter, great."So, you can read minds huh? Neat." She told him, her mood shifting from angry back to her usual self.

She stood and walked over to the door so she could talk to the now departing Dmitri and Liz without shouting. She waved at Liz and smiled, "You're welcome to come by again whenever you want, okay? I don't mind guests, really. As long as they don't bust up my door, that is." She told her.

She then addressed Dmitri smiling, "I'll definetely come by, it's been a fair bit since I've done any hunting, and besides it's the least I could do in return for you replacing the door."

She then turned to Trinity and David looking them over, she was always slightly wary when she was around other Hunters, even though most of them would have a hard time killing her. The Solomon was really the only one out of the two that worried her, if only due to that staff and namesake.

She then asked her about a demon called Asmodeus. "Ummm...never heard of him. I don't deal with demons that often, much more equipped to deal with cultists, other vampires, and the like." She replied. "The last time I fought a demon it didn't really turn out too well..."

"But I mean uh...if you're looking for help or something I'm not really doing much else right now?" She asked them, glancing between the two.

As I head out of the apartment, I nod politely to Trinity, who hadn't said much since she arrived. She seemed to be a decent person, Dmitri wondered what sort of person she was, and set the question in its place as he left.

The Solomon kid prattled on some more, and I gave him a birdie for his trouble. Any arse with half an eye could tell that A: I couldn't have known he wasn't the idiot throwing a knife through the door, and I'm still not to be quite frank. B: If he thought I hadn't dealt with powerful families before, he was sadly mistaken, if I had killed you, I was completely confident that the Solomon family would be saddened and I would very publicly share their grief and sorrow, which would leave the Solomon's with little enough to do but take back your remains and the artifact, and leave it at that. C: I didn't give any F's about David and his history, I'd seen to many families wiped out to care anymore. And if he thought he could show up with some tale of a demon lord, and a fancy staff, and run the whole show because he had big name, he could think again... or even just the first time for all I cared or knew. Chicago had taken care of itself this long, it sure as hellfire didn't need any help now.

I turn back as Anya calls after me and incline my head to her in thanks, wait a moment more as Liz walks past David. I glance warily around the street, but don't see anything suspicious, which only worries me. There's always someone watching, it was the ones you can't see watching that got you in the end. I was glad I'd decided to get Any'a help in this hunt, I could handle the cultists just fine, but I was pretty sure the little devil running the show was expecting me, I'd needed to find surprise for him. Vampires made excellent surprises, unless you were the one being surprised. I only hoped it would be enough to finish the little devil this time. I'd come close at it's summoning but he'd managed to escape, taunting me as it went, and I hadn't been able to do anything about it.

Dmitri walked to his wagon, keeping an eye out for stalkers. He was pretty sure what ever had thrown the knife had stuck around to learn the results of their attack. He hadn't seen or heard anyone or anything when he'd exited the apartment, but that just meant that the spotter knew their business. That worried him slightly, and he kept a furtive eye aimed at the usual shadows and hiding places. Thankfully nothing attacked them or jumped out at them while they walked. When they got to the garage, Dmitri warned Liz not to get in the car until he was certain it was safe to do so. He quickly checked the undercarriage and door handles before making a more thorough search of the vehicle. Once he was satisfied, Dmitri opened a door for Liz and motioned for her to hop into the back seat. He noticed a that he was genuinely concerned for the girl's health, and that puzzled him. He hadn't cared for anyone since, well, since he'd lost his own parents. He noted the connection, and set the note aside for now, it would be something he'd need to consider very carefully if he didn't want to drag her into his underworld. After Liz climbs in, or decides to go home by another route, Dmitri hops into the driver's seat and starts the car. He calls over the back seat, if Liz is in the car.

"Do you know how to get home from here, Liz? Or would you rather I dropped you off somewhere?"

Expressionless, Elizabeth seated herself in the rear passenger seat of Dmitri's car as soon as he assured her it was safe. For some reason, she began to loathe the idea of going back to the paltry shack that she called home. She'd rather appreciated the attention she'd received upon waking inside of Anya's apartment. Yet, that would soon halt. She would go home, barely survive, tend to Zinx, and slay mediocre demons that came after her or got in her way. Maybe it was for the best for her to stay out of trouble.

It was rather dark outside, but Elizabeth knew that it couldn't have been late. The clouds were gathering overhead and threatened to pour heavy rain upon the city. It was gloomy, and the gloom made Elizabeth feel even worse. She sunk down into the seat, suddenly finding comfort in the tightly closed space.

"Keep going down this road," she mumbled, just enough so that Dmitri could hear. She sat up slightly only so that she could point meaninglessly to the left. "There should be a road to the left a few miles down, and there will be a dead end. You can let me off there."

Sighing, she leaned against the car door. Vague memories of road trips with her parents came flooding back to her, but they were still too blurry to understand. The ghost of a sentence lingered on her tongue, and just as she was about to speak, a woman in tattered clothing leaped out in front of the moving car. The only brief thought Elizabeth could form was, Oh how typical!

As I drive I glance back at Liz, noticing her expression, and recognizing it, as I'd seen it enough times. She didn't like being alone any more than any other kid her age did. Damn, but what can I do? It's not like I know anything about have a daughter, and she'd probably just laugh me off for offering anyway. Not to mention being part of a mafia family wouldn't make life much easier for her, it'd just further isolate her from her peers. But it wasn't like she could just show up at school and start making friends the usual way...

I curse, as the woman jumps in front of me. It's to late to stop, so I press the gas pedal to the floor, accelerating to meet the woman with as much momentum as possible. She'd either move, or be crushed, and Dmitri didn't much care which at this point. He'd promised to get Liz home in one piece, and he was going to do it if he had to get through all of hell to do it.

Shit! Get down Liz!

The woman realized her peril, and tried to get out of the way, but not fast enough. She leaped to one side, and the wagon's front right quarter, clipped her hip and thigh, sending her spinning off into the ditch on the other side of the road. The wagon, a solid German design, barely noticed the impact and kept accelerating down the road.

Elizabeth's eyes were glued on the woman and it seemed as if they were driving in slow motion, even though they'd sped up. It was too late by the time her screams, asking him not to hit the woman, had even escaped her throat. She squeezed her eyes shut and put her hands above her head. Less impact was felt on her part than she expected. When she opened her eyes again, she immediately turned around and stared out of the window.

"Momma!" she screamed, voice oozing with panic and pain. She began to utterly freak out, and screamed at Dmitri.

"Go back! That was my momma! That's my mom!"

Her hands flew up to cover her face in shock. She most certainly did not want to believe that they'd just hit and maybe killed her mother. No, she reasoned, she can't be dead because we just barely hit her side. Still, she was panicking. She undid her seat belt and almost climbed all over the back seat to get a better look.

Shit... Okay! I got it, we're turning around! Just settle down a moment, you aren't helping anyone by panicking, and you might cause her more pain in your panic so chill!
I carefully decelerate, not slowing down to quickly, lest Liz go flying through my wind shield and complicate the day even further. I do a U turn and go back to where I could see the woman lying in the snow. I unlock the doors, as we roll to a stop, knowing Liz wouldn't wait to jump out. I park the wagon, turning on my hazards, and checking the street around us, we seemed to be alone, but that didn't mean much. I run around to the back of the wagon and pull out my med kit, closer to a battle field medic's pack than a first aid kit, and run over to join Liz by her mother's side. I try to asses the damage as I kneel across from Liz, opening the bin and moving the boxes of small bandages and burn cream out of the way. Thankfully the snow drift on the side of the road seemed to have cushioned her fall considerably, meaning she might get off with only a broken leg after all. Dmitri hoped that was all he'd done. He didn't usually care about others, and interestingly he really only cared about this woman because she was someone of significance to Liz.

Where does it hurt? Can you feel anything right now?

Trinity looked on at the man and the young girl left. She worried for her, she didn't know the man's intentions, but it's not like she was in a position to do much else. She'd make sure to check on them later.

She looked over to David "So this cult...any leads on them or did we just go after this" she refers to Anya, "For no reason other than her being a vampire?"

David sighed. "I followed her as I hoped to ask a local hunter what they knew about Asmodeus. Thing is his cult's aren't your usual problem. Occasionally they sacrifice a virgin but their mostly whores, meaning that whenever they have sex it's restoring him." He said stepping in looking at the vampire and then Trinity. "And we can't go around icing anyone who tries to sell sex. Which means we go the route of the trap or we try to track down the source." He blew smoke sighing.

He stood the staff straight up then lean on it, surprisingly it didn't move the staff support his wait. "The other thing Asmodeus is infamous for is impregnating young women with demons. My family killed him way back in the eighteen thirty-five, with thirty five of bloodline giving their lives. If we stop him before he enters our world then no one has to day or give birth to a demon. So, Anya still feel like hunting them knowing that we could be facing one of the great 72 demons of legends? Trinity you okay knowing that you could be taken by them and made to carry a demon." He smiled and put out the cigarette.

She listened to David's response about the cult. The things they did and the fact that women were being targeted. Whores, he called them. She knew that they didn't always have a choice in the matter, sometimes you did what you had to do to make sure you had a roof over your head and food in your belly, maybe not even just your own.

She clicked her tongue and folded her arms "Haven't had any action in God knows how long, so sign me up." she waited for Anya to respond "I may have an idea then, if we go through with this, but it'll be dangerous and I am sure you had the same idea too, based on your question."

Anya listened intently at the two, absent mindedly waving at Dmitiri and Liz as they departed. Then David asked her if she still felt up to it, the fact was she couldn't have been more excited. "Definetely!" She shouted excitedly, smiling. "I still have to meet with Dmitri tonight, though, but I'll definetely help you guys too.

"So long as you don't decide to tie me up and use me as bait, that is." She added. "Though, it sounds like Trinity has that department covered going by your plan." She giggled.

"That said, what's the plan?" She asked, smiling at the two. She really hoped it wasn't her that they planned on using as bait, she didn't particularly like the idea of being forced to carry a child, or even an attempt at being forced.

As soon as it was possible, Elizabeth did, in fact, jump out of the vehicle and run to her mother's side. The woman was in obvious pain, and the leg that had been hit was, as expected, twisted at a very odd angle. It grossed Elizabeth out, but at the moment, she was too worried about her mother to let it draw her away. Her mother kept saying, "My baby," through struggled, pained breaths as Elizabeth ran toward her.

"Momma," she said in an almost mutter as she knelt beside her.

There was something off about the way her mother's face looked. It had been over three years since the last time she'd seen her. Her face had grown...tougher, maybe? Elizabeth shook her head; she shouldn't be bothered with it now. She moved aside when Dmitri joined them with what looked like an amplified first aid kit. She eyed it a bit warily as he shuffled around in it.

"My leg," Annalise said to him. Elizabeth looked at it again, closer this time. It was oddly bent at the knee, and there was blood soaking the cloth of her pants.

Then, she looked up at Dmitri. For some reason, she felt an immense trust in him that he could fix it somehow. She grabbed her mother's hand wordlessly and squeezed it. Annalise responded by squeezing Elizabeth's hand as well.

David sighed. "Way I see it someone has to be bait, since our vampire friend is to young and undead to carry children she get to be the rescue. Trinity and I will be the bait, my magical nature makes me perfect target to have a demon forced inside me. Trinity could play the part of the helpless innocent girl, Anya tails them and then brings us our weapons. We bust our way tough anyone in our way and if it doesn't work, well we won't live to see the rise of a demon king." He chuckled.

He stared at the staff and sighed. "Though I think we would be off with the other two hunters help, they could make sure Anya gets to Trinity and I. Before you ask why two pieces of bait, one is so I can get in. They can sense my kind, if they capture me they will move guards off towards me. Trinity is their to lead you to the ceremony, or at least somewhere close to it, they'll be capturing a lot of girls to see which is strong enough." David said before reaching into his bag. "I need to go to the church, your welcome to come though I will be looking into the future and it can... Disturbing to watch people do it."

Well, it could have been worse all things considered, but this was still gonna hurt a lot more before it starts feeling better. I work quickly, cutting away the pant's leg, to relieve pressure on the swelling leg, and to get it out of the way. I scoop snow over the injury to help reduce swelling and wash out the wound as the snow melted. While I wait on the snow, I pull a morphine shot out of the box, and administer it to the woman's uninjured thigh, the pat some snow over that to reduce the chances of that minor puncture from bleeding, before pulling out a splint, and laying it out around the broken leg. I toss Liz a thick strap of leather, clearly marked by previous bites, as I turn to the broken leg.

Liz put it between her teeth and tell her not to let go.

I wipe the snow away from the injured leg gently, but quickly, and set the leg before dressing the wound carefully, and applying the splint. I then slide a folded thermal blanket under the leg, and pack snow around the leg, to keep the swelling down, and wrap it and the snow in the thermal blanket. Now the fun part, I toss things back into the medical box, and stow it, while the snow and morphine kick in. I pull out another blanket, from another bin, and make a sort of nest/bed in the back of the wagon. Usually the bodies I tossed back here were dead, but I'd played ambulance before. I move back towards Liz and her mom, glancing quickly around at our surroundings, knowing how vulnerable to attack we are.
