Sorry, I have a super busy week. 50 hours...though I plan to trim it down to 40 since I don't think I can handle that amount in my current state (all of those are night shift so I usually don't get home till 12:30 and don't get to bed till 2 due to a shower and an hour of downtime).

I have a day off on Thursday, but I'm going to try to get a third day off on Saturday so I have then and Sunday off this week haha. I should've updated you, but I only found out yesterday when I went to work, so yeah.

Her movement away from his palm strike is more downwards than it is sideways, meaning she took not even a half step to the side as she ducked under the strike. This would put his arm a few feet or inches above her left shoulder. Also, since his momentum with his arm is going forwards her moving a single step in is going to put her easily in range of his elbow. It's not gonna require her close more distance since she's already close. Yes he has longer arms, but in this scenario that doesn't mean much.

I also think it's amusing he thinks she's attacking with her blade, rather than simply keeping his staff busy :P

Anywho. My poing is while he can do the fulcrum movement+attempted grab, her strike isn't meant to just harm his arm, it's strong enough that it should hit his right elbow to the right, bending his arm slightly around her wrist with the movement.

Sorry if I didn't describe this clearly enough, I'm admittedly not as good at hand-to-hand combat as I am at weapon wielding or magical.

Your attack was fairly vague and left a lot of room for interpretation. Nowhere in your post did you mention her ducking, nor was the distance of her steps mentioned or the power of her attack/block.

In a previous post I mentioned Ryuku’s stance, he is leading with his left leg his weight evenly distributed. So, logically for you to intercept a right handed attack at the elbow Kaiu will need to try and step inside his leading leg or over extend her left arm to make up for the distance. Of course she could just block at the wrist as well and ignore the whole thing and I’m sure there a dozen other things that could be done that I am completely missing.

And no worries, I know that my descriptions aren’t the greatest either.

Most of Ryuku's post is the exact same. Merely changed some wording to reflect his arm being pushed slightly so there was no way it could reach her head.
